Chapters Cleaning and Clearing the House
"Thank you for visiting today! Please come back tomorrow if you have the time!" Twilight called out behind the last pony as they walked away. It was in different ways both the best and worst part of the day - the closing of the public area of the Golden Oaks Library. A day of hard work now drawing to a close meant only one thing for the two residents of the library: time to relax.
"I can't believe how much of a mess some ponies leave behind." Spike complained as he gathered up the books for reshelving. It would eventually mean time to relax, of course, but library maintenance always took priority. One couldn't just leave the library in a state of disarray because they were tired. It was their solemn duty to keep the place in good order. Fortunately, Twilight - with the power of an alicorn overly familiar with her library - made quick work of placing books back where they ought to go until the next reshelving day.
"Another day drawn to a close. Feels good, doesn't it, Spike?" Twilight asked with a sigh, absentmindedly hefting her prodigious bust with her arms as she crossed them in satisfaction. Spike, the true brother that he was, was the last to notice this. Unfortunately with only the two of them in the room at the time he was also the first. He turned away, not wanting to look at Twilight in that way.
"Yeah, I guess. Let me get the broom and dustpan and we can get this place spick and or span." He said, distracting his thoughts with images of Rarity instead. It was alright to be horny or to fantasize so long as it wasn't about Twilight. Anypony but Twilight.
"Thank you, Spike! I'll check over the shelves and make sure we have everything in its place." Twilight called as he rushed to the broom closet. Had it been anypony else giving that offer, the balance of effort would've been weighed in the book checker's favor, but seeing as it was Twilight saying it, Spike was likely to find himself lagging behind.
Twilight hummed a jaunty tune to herself as her magic scanned over the books, moving the ones that had been put in the wrong place - whether by intention or not. It was trivial work for the alicorn, almost relaxing in its own way if not for the minor amount of effort it called for. Of course, her preferred method of relaxation - a type she'd indulge in later tonight - demanded far more effort than even this, but its rewards were... different.
Spike, on the other hand, was looking forward to a night much like any other night. He had a new comic to read and it was just getting good. He just couldn't wait to be done with his chores so that he could read the continued adventure of 'Mare Mysterious and The Case of the Golden Ghost .' The previous issue 'The Case of the Flagrant Felon ' was one of his favorites, and he couldn't wait to see how the newest story unfolded.
The work to straighten up the library wasn't too great, and better yet, didn't take too long. After a short bit of effort, the place was back to its regular set up for tomorrow - depending, of course, on whether or not they were still here or out fighting evil or something of that nature. It was good to see the place looking so neat, even to Spike who was more or less ambivalent to the whole thing.
Twilight smiled to herself, humming as she set up a few things here and there as Spike pulled out his comic book and fell into his favorite beanbag with a sigh. Whatever Twilight was doing was beyond his realm of caring, which was good for Twilight. Spike cared more for his book than whatever extra work Twilight had set up for herself. If she wanted to work more than necessary, he was fine with it - so long as he wasn't roped into it. Surprisingly to the young drake, she hadn't tried to rope him in this time - a welcome change to be sure.
Turning page after page, engrossed in his reading, Spike barely noticed the arrival of Applejack, who greeted Twilight warmly. Twilight having a guest wasn't too incredibly odd - especially with it being one of the Elements. Spike continued his reading happily, pulled deeper into his story as Mare Mysterious slowly found her way from clue to clue. Spike had a reasonable suspicion of both the livery maid and the mail boy - but the problem was whether those were the reasonable suspects that were misdirects or not.
The opening of the door to let in Rainbow, huffing and puffing from her workout wasn't odd to Spike when it happened a few minutes later. Friends did stuff together. He'd have been out and about doing things himself had it not been for the rough day he had just endured and the general lack of anything to do besides reading his comic. Not that he wouldn't have done something else if it presented itself, but Mare Mysterious wasn't to be denied without good reason.
Unlike the last two arrivals, Spike did notice quite acutely as Rarity entered. Almost a shame that it happened as the mail boy was found dead in the back of the haunted mansion - supposedly haunted at least. Rarity's radiant and undeniable beauty was enough to pry him slightly away, losing the question of if it had been a faked death or not he would have had otherwise. Mare Mysterious was great, but Rarity - the Mare Marvelous - was far more eye catching to Spike.
Her choice of clothes didn't help this. She wore what would likely be considered a modest dress that most ponies wouldn't have problem with. It was made intentionally that way. The problem was that it got close enough to immodesty and then skirted the edge with the use of frills, lace, and tactical folds of the fine cloth that made it up. To the dragon who had spent enough time with the fashionista to learn her wily ways of dressmaking, the ever so subtle lines that drew the eye to just the right places were obvious and undeniable - though Rarity doubtlessly would've denied such when asked. It was a perfectly modest get up with no true faults - except those that were baked into the very DNA of the dress.
This caused a brief glance to the ignored mares in the library. Rainbow wore her usual sports gear, though his learned skills in dressmaking provided the information that her sports bra was cut ever so slightly lower than most and propped her chest up that much more - likely through the use of padding or just excessive support. Her shorts were also shorter by a hair - an important hair. With the angle he had, Spike had a great view of that pegasus' tight ass that received such flattering treatment by the tighter shorts.
Applejack wore her usual pair of beaten jeans and plaid shirt with cowpony hat, but event this was altered slightly. Her shirt was tied up just beneath her bust, revealing all her midriff. This alone was not suspicious or odd, as she had done it in the past when the going got especially dirty - but when compounded with her choice of jeans that likely were her size when she was a teen, creating an effect similar to Rainbow's shorts, it did ring some bells.
All of their outfits rang bells, even Twilight's to a degree. Unfortunately for Spike's Mare Mysterious side, another bell was ringing a tad louder. Namely the one downstairs that was calling for room service quite insistently. It was good he hadn't changed into sweatpants yet or this would've been a bit more than awkward with the four mares in the room - one of which he considered tantamount to a sister or mother at times. Especially with her.
"Hey, Spike?" Twilight called out. "Would you be willing to let us mares have the library for the afternoon? We wanted to have some 'just mares' time." She said in a way that did Spike no favors. It wasn't overtly sexual - not in the slightest. Twilight just had the nonchalance of a firenado rolling through a firework factory. Her tone, completely innocent, had just enough twinge of guilt infused noninnocence that it was more than obvious that 'mare time' may mean something different to the four mares than they wanted the young dragon to get.
"Yeah sure!" He cried, stashing his comic before bolting out the door, charging down the way towards a random direction. He needed an excuse to be anywhere but near the four mares that had chosen to lightly fetishize themselves that particular day, and he wasn't about to miss an opportunity when it presented itself so plainly. Whatever they were doing, it was beyond Spike's purview. He wasn't innocent, which was all the more reason why he ran as fast as he could to find a nice secluded place to tend to the problem he was now facing.
Twilight blinked as she stared at the seat where Spike had been mere moments ago. She almost expected to see a puff of dust in his shape still there with how fast he ran away. She wandered to herself why he was so eager to run, but a knock on the backdoor broke that thought from her mind. Opening the door a crack, she smiled and let the pony in.
"Coloratura, glad you could make it!" Twilight said with a wide smile. The mare returned her smile and gave her a quick hug.
"I wouldn't miss it for the world!" She replied with a smile. "Plus, it worked out for my... schedule." Twilight nodded. Applejack didn't know, and Coloratura had made her promise that none of those here would be the one to tell her, that little 'Rara' was actually the up and coming star Countess Coloratura. It was an easy secret to keep since it kept her comfortable and Applejack wasn't big into any music that wasn't at least as old as Sweet Apple Acres. Their soirées were also good for the singer pony whose minorly overbearing manager could work the pony near ragged - though fortunately never beyond that point.
"Rara!" Applejack beamed, breaking from her conversation with Rainbow and giving the singer mare a bear hug that got a squeak from her. It did Twilight's heart good to see the two having fun - even if one of them wasn't being entirely forthcoming. Then again, both mares were somewhat secretive to the others - none of the other Apples, much less any other pony outside of this room, knew about the two.
Another knock at the door behind Twilight brought her attention back from her wandering thoughts. Peaking out the crack of a slightly open door, Twilight smiled again and let in Soarin and Big Mac. The two stallions politely greeted Twilight before moving deeper into the library house - Soarin getting tackled by Rainbow and Big Mac finding a Rarity wrapped around his arm. It was nice that they could all get together.
Her thoughts were broken by another knock. It was a good thing then that Twilight hadn't moved from the door - if for no other reason than to let in all the new arrivals. She cracked the door open, and a second later threw it open completely to give Flash a big hug - pulling him inside with the same. A brief wisp of magic later and the library was closed off from the rest of the world.
"I'm so glad you were able to make it!" Twilight said while still hugging Flash. The stallion chuckled, patting her awkwardly on the back as he did.
"I wasn't about to miss my summons from a princess." He joked with a withering laugh. Twilight batted him on the back of the head with a smirk that conveyed all that she didn't say. Meanwhile the other couples were getting to an end of their small talk - the evening's events seeming more important than catching up on weather, especially for those that lived near enough to one another.
Soarin was the first to talk up about this shortly arriving eventuality. "So, Twilight, are we going to get this par-"
"Don't say that word." Rainbow interjected, slapping a hand over his mouth to stop him from finishing the dreaded word. "Remember last time someone said that word? We couldn't get Pinkie out of the door for the entire evening until each of us played the less sexy version of Twister." Soarin's eyes widened and he nodded in horrified recollection. Never had Twister been so unsexy and so highly competitive than that day. His left wing still gave him issues on occasion to remind him. Left wing yellow - never again.
"So, Twilight," Coloratura began in Soarin's place, "are we going to begin shortly?" Twilight gave a nod, lighting her horn in preparation for the most complex spell of the night. With a burst of sparks, magical energy overflowed the room, sticking to the windows and any peep holes. Illusion spells were always fun, especially with how thorough Twilight was. A three dimensional illusion that filled the house and library from the outside, covering all angles in a visually consistent falsehood - no matter from what window or crack in the walls it was viewed from.
It might've been overly cautious, but it was also necessary - especially considering there was a princess, an up and coming singer, multiple pillars of the local community, a guard of decent standing, and a member of the Wonderbolts all in one room. If the actual activities that happened in the library were seen or recounted beyond it would not be the best thing for anypony involved. None of them needed scandal. What they needed was some good unclean fun.
Twilight, despite her usual level of shyness, was actually the first to begin stripping. It was less to do with the reticence of anypony in the group - as shown by Rainbow who beat the purple alicorn to getting naked despite giving her friend a ten second head start - and more to do with the unspoken rule that if Twilight was undressing it was a good sign that they all could. Her shyness was only a nonfactor when it didn't have to be - like when she had finished the spell.
Like a crack of lightning, the group was suddenly all naked. It wasn't odd for anypony in the group, the ceremony of it all something they were all more than well acquainted with. It wasn't a sexy stripping - unless the individual's voyeuristic tastes were also tied with one's enjoyment of speedruns. Everypony simply went from clothed - as much as they had been - to as naked as they could be as fast as they could.
Rarity was the first to begin the fun - unless one counted the eyes that Soarin and Rainbow shared - when she grasped the slab of meat that was Big Mac's Little Macintosh. He was by far the largest in the room - though the others weren't particularly slouches in equipment.

Mac smiled brightly as she preformed what she considered her marely duty to her lover - though perhaps consort might've fit better. Rainbow jumped Soarin like a cat behind the two kissing ponies, the two locked in a quick fuck. It was no secret that the two ponies were less lovers and more codependent-sex-addicts. Soarin had been with enough mares to be more than used to the feeling of sex - with nearly a new mare after every show - Rainbow was the steady one though. It was why he was still married. Twilight didn't entirely approve of the extramarital affair, but she wasn't in a position to judge. Her infatuation for Flash had started in the other world - though she rarely liked to think of that weird world on the other side of the mirror.
Flash, for his part, was less than aware of the emotion of the room when it came to Twilight. He accepted the affection and the sex from a princess. He had assumed that she had heard about the size of his dick and that he might be the second guard to get married to a princess in as many years. Twilight, in a stunning departure from her usual strict adherence with customs and expectations, was less inclined toward marriage. Mac was already lining up the next marefriend, Coloratura was going off on an extended tour, Rainbow had been talking more and more about ponies other than the Wonderbolts, and Flash was... well. To say that Twilight was pleased that teenage hormones had stayed on the other side of the mirror was an understatement - she just wished that the inklings of feelings she had developed for a Flash had stayed there too. Flash wasn't entirely healthy for her, she needed to move on and limit his role in her pleasuring.
"Just... thinking." Twilight said in partial honesty. She wondered if the rumors of Celestia having a harem were true and whether she might be able to get some pointers on how to get one of her own without any of those ponies catching on they weren't the only ones in said harem. She wasn't about to let go of Flash, but having more than one avenue for pleasure certainly was appealing.
"Do you want to start light or should... I dunno, your choice." Flash said. It was one of the things that ticked Twilight off in a small way - though never enough to get anger to rise. She loved Applejack, and without a doubt would miss her for the duration of the long tour she was about to embark on. It was just a shame that the two of them were the only two of the assembled group that was likely to be true for.
The room was filled with the sound of pones in the throws of pleasure - sounds that never made it beyond the walls of the library due to Twilight's enchantments. It ought be noted for the sake of those less acquainted with dragon biology that pony and dragons are quite different. Scales that look like skin and fire breath - along with wings, eyes that could see sixty percent better in darkness, and the whole egg laying thing - were not the only things that set a dragon apart from ponies, and Spike was suffering deeply from this.
Ponies, by and large hit puberty at roughly thirteen years of age. Some hit it late, other can hit a second wave, but by and large the awkward dies off shortly thereafter - at least so it is to be hoped. Dragons, however, are very different.
At thirteen a dragon experiences mental changes similar to puberty, though on a much more subdued scale and with no real physical changes. By the age of seventeen, however, dragons hit their first real puberty. A being that lives on a scale of centuries and grows to enormous sizes could scarcely be expected to only hit puberty once, after all.
Reference material to all of this is scarce - most of it coming from one Twilight Sparkle and her assistant Spike - but it usually plays out towards dragons hitting five different sorts of puberty throughout their life time. First at seventeen or so, next at fifty, next at one hundred and fifty, then at three hundred, a particularly tough one at three hundred and seventy, and then the last - when a dragon becomes its full and ultimate self - at about five hundred years.
Spike was a late bloomer.
He was eighteen and getting hit hard.
His experiences in the previous year with getting hit by the enormous power greed has over a dragon's biology hadn't helped anything, and had only been a font of anxiety. When biological puberty came knocking, he freaked out. He was still actively freaking out to be fair, just on a longer timescale and at a lower boil.

A short while later the four of them were entering the library. Spike blinked, feeling... something. A second ago he felt he was still outside the library, but now was inside lacking any memory of Twilight letting them in.
