A Story Based Upon A Man In A Mare's World

Twelve thousand years ago, a Kingdom of happiness and friendship was hit with an unknown plague. A disease that wiped out the entirety of the male populace of every intelligent species on the planet. Left without a means to organically reproduce, Equestria, in desperation, used their talents and knowledge in magic to create a new way to ensure the future of the Kingdom they thrive in. This magic was shared and spread to all nations beyond the Equine's own, and the world returned to a relative state of normalcy.

However, the world now runs by a Matriarchy. With no males left on the planet, a new, more interesting generation of Ponies, Dragons, Griffons, and others paved the way for the modern era.

Two monarchs, however, sought to harness mysterious forces, buried for centuries. They believed they could use this power to rip the fabric of space and time, and bring a male to Equestria in order to jumpstart their dominion's treck back to the society they had before.

Tearing a boy fresh out of a war, and on the brink of death himself, to the White Tail Woods, the overwhelming negativity spewing from his anger, sadness, grief, and loss made something... new.

A magic that takes the form of a black ooze that exists upon a ceaseless hunger and neverending scornful hatred. With their mistake realized, the monarchs retreat, and leave the human for dead.

Or so they would, had it not have been for a Zebra coming to investigate the noises near her hut.
