Minarus' Diary; The Equestrian Civil War

The inevitable has happened... Civil war has broken out is Equestria... I never through it would happen but here I am, a blue uniform dressing my hide and an Officer badge upon my arm, a chain that locked me into a conflict where not even the strongest Stallion would escape... Training was quite easy but learning to use a mysterious device they call a 'rifle' was a challenge to all, especially the Earth and Pegasi ponies, we Unicorns however managed to work the rifles effectively and so far the trenches await my arrival but a sense of impending doom has spread throughout the train. A feeling that I will not return to see my darling wife and son again... My thoughts are with them now. When will I see them? How are they coping without me? Will they accept me knowing I massacred many ponies, some not even wanting to be there? Best I get some rest for now... The journey ahead will be a long one...
