After the medley of all kinds of creatures fled the death of Canterlot, they found a new home on the rocky plains of the Badlands. However, it marked only the first page of a new history written in blood.

Years have passed since Canterlot’s refugees left its horrors behind, yet they found little peace in the desolation of the Badlands. Very soon the fragile alliance of many nations discovered that there was no safe haven from the decay and hunger. Mere months passed before new nightmares gripped the settlement in the cold claws of fear—the threats of both the outside world and those born in the shades of squalid settlement.

Yet those are all but symptoms of the entire world about to change.

This story is a direct sequel to Aftersound. While it may be not the best story around, I still highly recommend becoming acquainted with it before reading Resonance.
