Chapter one: Making plans.

It was a rainy evening on September 14, 2012. In the town of Jingleville, there was the Jingleville local orphanage. And in the orphanage, there was an orphan who was getting ready to leave there once and for all.
“Alright, I got everything I need to run away from this hell hole,” Luke thought bitterly to himself. “Now let me just go through my list again and see if everything is in here” Luke pulls out a notebook with items listed on it. “Now first is my hiking backpack and a knapsack.” Luke looks at the two.
“Check. Next is my sleeping bag.” He grabs it and attaches it to the hiking backpack.
“Check. A week’s worth of clothes, including pajamas, and bathing suit in case I have to swim.” He picks up his clothes which contains three pairs of jeans, a couple of shorts, sweat pants, a combination of short-sleeved and long-sleeved shirts, a hooded sweatshirt, and a dozen pairs of underwear and socks.
“Check. My baseball bat, baseball, and baseball glove.” Luke grabs each item and sighs. He puts them in the backpack.
“Check. Boots for tonight and sneakers.” He ties the sneakers to the backpack and puts the boots off to the side.
“Check. My CD player, my back up CD player, my CD case, and my solar powered charger for my CD player.” Luke grabs the solar power and puts it in first along with the case of CD’s and the CD players.
“Check. Food for the trip”. Luke grabs each food and puts it into the backpack.
“Check. Drumsticks.” Luke grabs the pair of his drumsticks and he face turns to a depressed state. “Dad.”/i] He puts it in the side compartment.
*“Check. Next are my Sparkler and Surprise figures.” He picks them up and stares at them. "Mom…Maria." He puts them in the other side pocket.*
*“Check. My Green Day poster.” Luke grabs it and rolls it up. He puts a rubber band around it and puts it in the bag.*
*“Check. My Fruits Baskets complete manga series along with Wicked, and the Eragon series in a protective book case.” Luke grabs each book and puts it into the backpack.*
*“Check. Sign language book for communicating with people.” He puts it into the backpack.*
*“Check. My bathroom and first aid kit.” Luke grabs them both and puts it into the backpack.*
*“Check. My windup flashlight.” Luke grabs it and puts it into the backpack.*
*“Check. My journal as well as notebooks, pens, pencils, pencil sharpener and other writing materials.” He grabs them and puts all of the materials in a Ziploc bag. Then he puts them into his backpack.*
[ *“Check. My headphones and Nerf guns” He puts in his headphones along with two Nerf guns and a couple dozen darts.*
*“Bug spray and a BBQ lighter.” Luke puts each of the materials in the backpack*
*“Check. My umbrella in case it rains on the trip.” Luke puts the umbrella in the backpack and closes it up. Well that’s everything to get out of this wretched place called an orphanage. Now I need to get ready.*
Luke goes into a bureau in his room and grabs a new set of clothes. He gets jeans, a blue short-sleeved shirt, a hooded black sweatshirt and a pair of hiking boots. He then went to the bathroom to take care of his bladder before leaving so he doesn’t have to make frequent stops. Lastly when he is done with that, he puts on the hiking backpack and makes his way to the door. He quietly opens it up and takes a look to see if there was anybody out in the hallways to compromise his position.
“Hey there Luke!” a voice shouted.
*“AGH!” Luke yelled inside his head.*
“So I see you are running away from the orphanage.” The voice teased. “So are you going on a grand adventure of some sort?
“Fuck you Jimmy. I don’t want to talk to you.”* Luke thought in an irritated tone. *“It’s bad enough that you come out and bother me but can you at least give me my privacy. I mean you are a figment of my imagination.
“First off it is St. Jimmy. Second off, where would the fun be if I cannot come out of nowhere and bother you. I mean what are consciences for.
*“You tell me to do bad things instead of good thing and try to corrupt my better judgment.” Luke thought and rebuked his statement in an irritated tone.*
“Same difference. You’re pretty smart for your age.”
*“I get that a lot” Luke thought in a muttered tone.*
“So you are finally running away. I am so proud of you.” St. Jimmy said with a big smile on his face. “You actually took my advice for once. Now you can go out and explore the world.
“Or I can just find a family to adopt me or take me in.”
“Details, details.” St. Jimmy replied back. “Well then I will get out of that pretty little brown hair of yours and be on my merry way.” With that St. Jimmy disappears leaving Luke alone in the room.
*“What an annoying prick. I don’t know how I can put up with someone who told me to do…” Luke sighs and closes his eyes. “I promise myself to never bring that up again. My mind was clouded at the moment.” Luke then has a determined look on his face. “But that cannot stop me from leaving the orphanage that has caused me problems for the past two years. I need to get out of here before it’s too late.” Luke takes a look around the hall to see if anyone is outside.*
*“Alright, the close is clear. Time for me to make my move.” Luke thought. He quietly walks out of the room and shuts the door behind him. He proceeds to the staircase and tries to walk down as quietly as he can. Once he got down there, he walked straight to the door. He notices the many locks on the door.*
*“Great. Looks like they don’t want anyone to leave.” Luke thought. Then a smirk appears across his face and thinks in a more clever tone. “At least I manage to steal the information on the passcode and steal the key from under their noses.” Luke takes out a key and puts it into the lock. He turns the lock and imputes the code to the password lock. It flashes green and makes a faint clicking sound. Luke walks out of the doorway and down the stairs to the dimly lit streets; where he then walks towards the forest.*
*“So long crapped filled days of being picked on. Hello freedom!” Luke thought excitedly. However Luke didn’t know was that someone saw him through their bedroom window and went down to tell the headmaster about it.*
Meanwhile in Equestria, a group of small fillies huddle around a table in their clubhouse are discussing over their next adventures in gaining their cutie marks.
“What about being newspaper editors?” Asked a small white unicorn.
“No, we already tried that. Remembered what happened last time.” Replied the orange pegasus.
“Oh.” The white unicorn said with sadness in her voice and looked down.
“How about we become musicians!” exclaimed the orange pegasus.
“No, we’ve already tried that.” Verified the yellow filly in a southern accent.
“Oh,” the pegasus replies in a depression tone.
“Hey! How about we’ve try at makin’ some of dem potions!” said the southern pony.
“No we already did that and almost had your brother and our teacher married.” The white unicorn told her friend with a depression tone.
“Oh.” Said the filly now just as depressed as the others.
A few minutes past and the orange pegasus slams her hooves on the table. This startles the other two fillies. She yells “Why can’t we get our cutie marks!” She bangs her head on the table. “ow.”
“Scootaloo, we’ve tried everythang. There is probably not one dang thing that we’ve tried and not get our cutie marks.” The southern filly tells Scootaloo.
“Applebloom. We have tried everything at getting our cutiemarks and nothing happened. We need to find out special talent before it’s too late!” Scootaloo yells at her friend Applebloom.
“Well then I suggest ya think of somethin’ or we’ve are just gonna be blank flanks for the rest of our lives! “Applebloom shouted back at Scootaloo.
“Hey! I came up with plenty of ideas myself! I don’t see you coming up with anything.
“Hey! I don’t’ think “watchin’ Rainbow Dash perform tricks” count as a cutie mark!”
“Well it could be. You never know what a pony’s cutie mark might be.
“Well if ya probably spent more time helpin’ us and not starin’ at Rainbow Dash, then Maybe we could of have our cutiemarks right now!
“Oh yea!”
“Yea!”
“Oh yea!”
“Yea!”
As the two ponies bicker, Sweetie Belles was on the side trying to find out a way to get their cutie marks. “How about we try…no we did that. How about…we that too.” Sweetie Belle looks around the clubhouse for any ideas. She looks at everything in there but there wasn’t really much to look at that can have them earn their cutie marks. The only thing was…” That’s it! I know what we haven’t done yet!”
“Hey guys.” Sweetie Belle spoke but in a quiet tone.
The two ponies kept bickering back and forth with each other.
“Hey guys.” Sweetie Belle raised her voice but could not be heard over the bickering of the two.
“GUYS! I HAVE AN IDEA!” Sweetie Belle screeched.
The two Ponies turned around to look at the white unicorn.
“What idea are ya talkin' about?”
“We tried everything Sweetie Belle. What idea can you possibly have?
A small smile appears on her face and she states “Treasure Hunters!”
“Treasure hunter?” the two questioned the filly.
“Yep…just like Daring Do.” She confirms.
The Apple Bloom's and Scootaloo’s eyes go wide and realize what she was talking about. They both facehoof.
“Why didn’t I think about that? Rainbow Dash loves Daring Do.” Scootaloo lamented.
“Well Sweetie Belle that was a great idea.” Apple Bloom complimented. “Maybe we should try that out tomorrow since we don’t have school.
Sweetie Belle beamed at the compliment. “Well I am the brains of this group.” She complemented herself.
“First things first guys.” Scootaloo said in an authoritative voice, attaching the attention of the other two in the club house. “We need things for the treasure hunt. First thing is…we need to find a place that has treasure in it.
“There’s ah cave by the trail that leads to Zecora’s hut.” Apple Bloom states.
“Good now we need a list of supplies to go into that cave.” Scootaloo demanded.
“We need a lantern, a shovel and possibly the wagon and scooter to carry the treasure in.” Sweetie Belle answer in a smart tone.
“Mah barn has the shovel and ah lantern we can use.” Apple Bloom told them.
“Good, guys. We will get our cutie marks in no time.” Scootaloo complimented the two. “Now meet back here at noon so we can go and get the treasure.”
“CUTIE MARK CRUSADERS! TREASURE HUNTERS! GO!” They all screamed with delight.
Well things are so boring. It’s a good thing I have my CD player with me. Bite my lips and close my eyes take me away to paradise” Luke sang with the tune of the song in his head. “Green Day is such an awesome band.” Luke is now walking on the side of a road that leads to town, which is next to the forest.
Then from behind Luke, a siren goes off from a police car. “Hey kid! Stop where you are! We are here to take you back to where you belong!” The policeman states through the car speakers.
“Shit! How did they find me! I made sure that no one saw me left!” Luke cursed in his head.
“Now walk towards the vehicle and we will take you back!” The officer demanded.
“Over my dead body their not.” Luke thought. “I better do what I was train to do.”
Luke starts to sprint towards a forest.
“Hey get back here!”
Luke is running through the deep, dark forest. Running over mud piles, jumping over logs and ducking from branches. The two police officers are following him from behind.
“ARG! This backpack is slowing me down!” Luke frustrated. “I need a place to hide.”
“Hey Luke! Over here! There is a cave you can hide from!” A voice yelled.
Luke turns around to see that it was St. Jimmy yelling at him. He is standing by the base of a cave next to the forest.
“I can’t believe that I am listening to him this time.” Luke sighed. Luke made a sharp turn and ran into the cave. He ran and ran in the cave until…”
“Whoa! Ahhh!” Luke screamed in his head as he slipped on a puddle and falls face first onto a rock. His vision is getting blurry now and starts to have difficulty getting up and then is rendered unconscience.
This story has been written since September 1st. I am now publishing it because I wanted to publish it along with chapter two...however I have been busy with other things and haven't gotten around to it. So here is my story and I will try to finish chapter two after previous engagements. SO leave a like, a fav...or whatever you want.
