500 years after uniting the stars in Friendship and Harmony, Princess Twilight Sparkle waits with baited breath as The Envoy crosses the void to extend the hand of Friendship to their intergalactic neighbours.

But when The Envoy reports a galaxy devoured by madness before losing contact, Equestria and it's allies are torn between leaving the galaxy to it's fate, and risking their lives to protect the innocent.

Now, a warfleet of volunteers makes ready to follow The Envoy into the Grim Darkness beyond the stars in an effort to silence the echoing laughter of thirsting gods.
