DOOM ETERNAL: Equestrian Savior
Each step seemed to echo throughout the surrounding area. As those boots hit the ground, every animal in the immediate vicinity shivered. The lowly prey of the forests scattered and ran the opposite direction. The high birds that ruled the air hid in the leaves, keeping themselves out of sight of all things. The mighty beasts of the forest watched from afar, cowering as the thing moved closer. It had a large build, towering over most animals in the forest. It was covered in metal armor, which seemed to radiate an unfamiliar yet terrifying aura that was like poison to any that went near. It’s stare was piercing, able to take down a dragon merely by glaring at it. It marched with righteous fury, ignoring anything that dared to block it. Even the vines, with spikes that could kill a man that simply fell into it, cleared the way for this monster.
It’s name was the Doom Slayer, and he was pissed.
He had known of separate worlds for a long time, yet none of them served his interest, as he was too busy at any given point. However, after his glorious battle with the Icon of Sin, the demons were even more cowardly. Instead of facing him head-on, they attacked other worlds in his spite, trying to leave them the same as his former home Argent D’Nur. Unfortunately for the demons, he didn’t let mistakes happen twice.
He advanced forward as he had been doing for the past hour, giving a spare glare at the surrounding landscape and scaring off the critters. This place was seriously annoying. It had the potential to be as terrifying as an area of Hell (to a human), yet the wildlife was a complete joke. They either ran away or cowered in fear.
Luckily for him, green eyes suddenly appeared in the darkness of the woods. These eyes began to move forward until he could make out their bodies. They were upright wolves made out of wood or a wood-like substance. Each step they made was completely silent and they were watching the ground to make sure they stepped on nothing that would make noise. Clearly, they thought he couldn’t see him.
A voice started speaking directly to him inside his helmet. It was VEGA, the AI made from Argent Energy that helped him in combatting his other foes.
“The creatures in front of us are made entirely out of wood, save for the inside of their bodies, the area where their souls rest. It is the green fire you see from their eyes. Taking them out should be no problem.”
Hearing this, the Doom Slayer decided to ditch his weapons and only use his fists. Even then, this fight wouldn’t be a problem.
He repeated the situation in his head, ‘Five wood wolves armed with nothing but their teeth and wooden limbs are approaching in an encircling move.’
As the wolves approached, the Doom Slayer began to plan his enemy’s defeat step-by-first.
‘Wolf on the left closest to me will lunge at me. Grab the head and crush...’
As the wolves approached the lone figure, one of them suddenly lunged toward it, attempting to end its life with a slash across the neck. Unfortunately for the wolf, the large hand of the creature moved at impossible speeds, grabbing its head and crushing it, ending its life before it even knew what was happening.
‘Throw body at other two wolves, approach and tear off arm of left one, feed it the arm. Approach other one, kick its legs and knock it over. Crush on knee.’
The wolves were in shock at the quick death of their brother, but the two wolves closest to the Slayer acted quickly and blitzed toward him. They were stopped as the body of their fallen comrade hit them square on the snouts. One of the wolves whimpered in pain as it’s arm came out of its allocated place. It widened its eyes in fear at the Doom Marine as he shoved its own arm into its mouth. The other wolf looked over to see his brother’s arm filling the area where its mouth was. Suddenly, it was aware of the rapidly approaching Doom Marine. Before it could even react, the Slayer kicked him in the legs sideways, rotating his body a full 90 degrees before he grabbed the wolf and drove his knee through it, splitting it in half and ending its life.
‘Jump towards wolf lunging at me with both feet forward, crush wolf instantly with weight.’
The fourth wolf, enraged by this monster, lunged at him. It snarled and barked as it longed to kill him. Unfortunately, the Slayer jumped right on to the wolf. The wolf panicked and tried to push off the Slayer, but it was no use as its head met the ground, crushing it under the Slayer’s weight.
‘Jump toward last wolf, kick it in its head. Punch it’s head when it lands.’
The Doom Slayer looked up, expecting the last wolf to be charging right at him. Instead, it was running the opposite direction from him and into the forest. He sighed, as he was wanting a little more fight out of the wolves. At least he got to fight at all.
A voice different from VEGA began speaking. It was Samuel Hayden, the scumbag human-turned-robot that was his “ally”. In truth, he hated Hayden, but he listened to him nonetheless. He knew more than he did.
“Hehehe. Are you having your fun, Slayer? Clearly, you miss fighting demons. Anyway, let me introduce you to the land of Equestria. This place is a mythical wonderland, with the most noticeable feature being the variations of... equines in the land. It is a rather young world, younger than both Argent D’Nur and Earth. It was created from misplaced Argent Energy after an incident and this had bred the creatures you see before you. Interestingly, the world seems to generate Argent Energy on its own. This might be why the demons are after it. Anyway, if you want to stop them, you’ll need to continue forward until you reach a village. This is inhabited by colorful equines with varying properties and is where one of their leaders is located. Whoever this leader is, they most likely have the answers you seek. I suggest you hurry.”
The Slayer merely nodded at this information and began to jog forward.

Fluttershy was currently resting on her couch, reading a piece of literature about caring for animals and treatment options for various kinds of them. Her animals were either sleeping or just looking around bored out of their minds. They wished to enjoy some time with Fluttershy, but she was enjoying her book a lot and they did not want to interrupt her. It was too bad something would.
Fluttershy jumped several feet in the air when one of her pet birds began squawking and scratching the window furiously. Realizing something was wrong, Fluttershy ran to the window and slammed it open, completely shattering the glass. She widened her eyes in horror, before focusing on the matter at hand. She listened to the bird explain its plight to Fluttershy, before her face paled.
“A Timberwolf?! Coming right for us?”
Suddenly, the small house was in disarray as animals hid deep inside their homes, seeking shelter from the dangerous creature. The local grizzly bear was not one to back down, and as the mentioned Timberwolf was seen running right toward the cottage, it went to face it head-on. Fluttershy simply stared in shock as the animals approached each other. However, she looked into the Timberwolf’s seemingly evil eyes and saw something.
She saw fear.
Suddenly, she screamed at the top of her lungs, “STOP! WAIT!”
Both animals suddenly stopped, both looking at the yellow Pegasus. She walked towards both animals. As she walked forward, she turned to the Timberwolf and began to speak, “Mr. Timberwolf? We were very scared by you running toward our cottage, but I saw you were very scared, too. Can you please tell me what you’re scared of?”
She listened as the Timberwolf began to tell her of its plight. As she listened, her face paled more and more. By the end of it, her hoof was over her mouth, as she looked like she was going to vomit. She silently remarked.
“What kind of monster would do this?”
