//-------------------------------------------------------// Blood Apple -by CountDerpy- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Prologue //-------------------------------------------------------// Prologue I backed up into the corner, my heart racing like a wild fire as I stared down the murderous mares in front of me that I used to call my friends. I had seen something I was never meant to see, delved to deep into something I never should have even known existed. Now I had to be eliminated. My heart sank as one of them in particular stepped closer to me, any last feeling of love I had for her disappearing in one look at her face. It was hard enough to recognize any of them now, but it was even harder to see what she had been. Her once beautiful orange coat was now stark white and stained with blood. Her eyes were dark black with glowing red irises and slit pupils, the eyes of a predator that glared at her prey. Even her cutie mark had changed; the three apples that were once bright red were now black, shriveled and lifeless. I stared at her as she slowly approached, each hoof step reverberating in my mind. “A-applejack…please don’t do this. I won’t tell a soul I promise!” Her face contorted into a wicked smile, two very large and very sharp canines hanging down and glinting in the moonlight. “Ya’ll er’ right, sugarcube. Ya’ll won’t be able to tell anypony when ah’m done with ya.” She chuckled as she continued her slow trek forward. “Applejack, just hurry up and do it!” The hollow shell of a mare that used to be Twilight Sparkle snapped from behind her, prompting an annoyed growl from Applejack. “Ah’m working on it! Ya’ll just shut up and let me work!” She gave a quick glance over and Twilight said nothing else. Applejack turned her attention back onto me. “Now, where we’re we.” I looked up towards the sky, hoping that I would see an opportunity to escape, but to no avail. Before I could even react, Applejack had me pinned up against the wall of the barn, her hooves digging into my shoulder blades. I couldn't scream, if I screamed there would be no reasoning with her. “Applejack….please…” She lowered her muzzle to my neck. “Sorry, Dashie…. But ah’ got to… …..and ah’ma enjoy every second of it.” She laughed before clamping onto my neck, a spurt of blood filling her and running out the side of her mouth. I could feel her tongue tracing circles over the wound, each lap bringing more pain to my body. Within seconds, I could no longer feel my wings. The world started to spin out of control, my mind shutting down. It knew this was the end, hell even I knew it was the end. As soon as the smell of blood hit the others, they latched on to any part of my body they could, each gulp of blood bringing my life closer to its close. I stared up at the sky, the bright full moon had gone deep red and the sky had blackened. I knew what it was, and accepted that there was nothing I could do as my soul fell from Celestia’s day and into eternal night….
