“Finally... it’s ready!” I said admiring my work. “And just in time for comicon too”

I’ve been working on my costume for comicon for a few months, I’m going as Sky lynx from Transformers Earthrise. I got the toy to use as a guide and now I’m finally done with it.

I packed up all the parts and made sure they won’t get damaged on the way to the con by putting them into their own special cases. I got all the cases out of my house one by one and put them into my rental van, I got it so I could haul all the cases. I got in the driver's seat and double checked everything, once I was satisfied I turned the keys and drove off.

—Later—

I arrived at the hotel I would be staying in and unpacked all my stuff. I got my costume parts and put them together around me. Once it was on me, I grabbed my money, my phone, and my room keys. I went down to the lobby and waved goodbye to the guy at the front desk by opening the mouth of my costume and putting my arm out. “Good luck at comicon sir!” He said.

“Thanks, you have a nice day too!” I said back as I left.

I made my way to the convention center and got a few odd stares along the way. I made it through the entrance and looked around. There were tons of people dressed up in cosplay, just like me. I decided to walk around and see if there was anything that I might want to get as a souvenir. There were tons of stalls each one with a few Knick knacks from various games, movies and tv shows.

I looked over each stall, one was filled with Spiderman merchandise, another had an odd collection of miscellaneous items. I became curious and went over to that stall, the man who seemed to be running it, had on a blue hood and a purple mask. “See anything you like?” He asked.

I looked over his items, and found a jar filled with metal dust, labeled “nanites”. I looked at him. “Is this a joke?” I asked.

“No sir, everything I have is completely legitimate” he said, gesturing to his wares.

‘Well I might as well get something as a souvenir, I wasn’t expecting a jar filled with metal dust, but beggars can’t be choosers, so why not’ I opened the mouth of my Sky lynx costume and reached an arm out to grab the jar. “How much?” I asked relenting.

“$20, plus tax.” he said. I gave him the money and pulled my arms in with the jar of “nanites”. I turned around to leave but I instantly regretted it. I began getting dizzy, then I passed out and everything went black.

“Mmm, huh? Where am I? Why is it night? Why is my voice different?” I said as I woke up.

‘Am I laying down on my stomach? When did I fall asleep face down?’ Wait, that can't be right, my body’s all wrong, my neck seems way too long and my vision’s strange. There’s all kinds of information in my vision. I have a head’s up display or HUD like a video game. I reared up on my legs, all four? Then looked to where my hud was displaying North, then with my new elongated neck I looked around.

I was in a forest. “Ok, I can see where I am, why am I above the trees?” Either the trees were very small or I was very big. I looked at myself and realized that I was the Real Skylynx.

“Oh shit!” I exclaimed. I panicked a bit knocking over a few of the trees. Then closed my eyes and forced myself to calm down and think. ‘Ok I’m Skylynx, I’m in a forest, and…. oh shit!’ In my shock my wings flared out knocking a few more trees down.

‘The stories about the Displaced are true! I knew that merchant wasn’t on the level! That means I’m in Equestria, but the real question is, where am I in the series?’ I began hearing voices. ‘Oh no! I got to hide! But where can I…. oh right I’m a Cybertronian, And I have a base mode!’

Transforming was both easy and strange, the hud shifted to display the transformation options, and I mentally activated the base mode. The feeling of my body changing was … well it was indescribable having parts of my body open, move and shift. Soon I was fully transformed into base mode and waited, in a clearing of smashed trees.

“Woah! Is that the castle we’re looking for?” Said a voice.

My sensors homed in on the voice even in base form I had the Hud displaying information. ‘Ok that was Rainbow Dash’

“What? No, this place isn’t supposed to be here!?!?” Said another voice.

‘Definitely Twilight, unless Tara Strong is here, which is highly unlikely’

“Never you mind this place, we can gawk at it later, after we stop Nightmare Moon” said a new voice.

‘I know who that was, Applejack!’

“Your right, we can come back later, right now we have to stop Nightmare!” Said Twilight.

They all left and I was alone again. ‘I should probably leave now and find a few new modes, I don’t want to mess up the timeline, especially when it’s the beginning’ I waited for what seemed like hours, then the sun came up. ‘Now I can go’ I transformed and began walking away.

I figured out how to separate and now I’m two robots, both with different points of view.

—LYNX POV—

“Ok, we need to find an organic mode for ourselves, you go that way, and I will go this way, once we have those modes, we need to meet up back here” I said pointing a claw in each direction.

The robot dino bird nodded and walked off in his own direction and I went in mine.

I made my way around and after a while, I found a sleeping Lynx in a tree. “That’ll do” I said quietly. I scanned the Lynx and transformed. I looked myself over and I was a normal Lynx, well almost normal, I was technicolor and had two long tails. I looked like this.

—LYNX MODE—

“Now to meet up with Sky” I said running off.

—SKY POV—

After Lynx went in his direction, I went off in my direction.

I made my way through the forest. I continued to walk and found a clearing. I looked at multiple birds in the area, but one caught my eye… er…. optics.

It was a cockatrice. “Oh now that will do nicely” I said, giving it a scan. I transformed into my new mode. I looked like a normal cockatrice except I had a visor and a fin on my tail.
COCKATRICE MODE

‘Ok, time to meet up with Lynx’ I made my way back to the meeting spot and found Lynx in his new form waiting for me.

I got onto his back. “Nice choice!” said Lynx.

“Thanks! Same to you!” I said.

“Now what?” asked Lynx.

“We head to Fluttershy’s, what else?” I said. Lynx began moving in the direction of Fluttershy’s cottage, along the way we both saw a few timberwolves, they started to circle us, I counted at least 9 in all. They continued to circle, but didn’t attack.

“Why aren’t they attacking?” asked Lynx.

“I don’t know, maybe they know I’m a cockatrice and don’t wanna turn to stone” I said to Lynx with a shrug.

I suddenly had the overwhelming urge to dodge, using my wings to fly high in the air, I just barely dodged a timber wolf that tried to attack me from behind.

I opened my mouth shooting an Acetylene beam, instantly incinerating the wooden beast.

'Wow.' I thought.

2 more charged me, I blasted one then dodged the other while smacking him with my tail. I blasted him after getting clear of him, then looked at the rest of the pack. I spread my wings menacingly, then squawked causing them to flee yelping. Then Lynx charged into them making them crash against a tree hard, and they all broke apart and laid motionless.

Lynx and I left the everfree and found Fluttershy’s cottage. By the time we got close, it began to rain. We got to the door and Lynx knocked on it.

The door opened a few minutes later. “H-hello?” said Fluttershy. I sneezed. “Oh you poor things! Hurry, come inside and dry off” she said, gesturing inside.

The first thing I saw on my way inside Were many bird houses that hung around the room. To my left was a dresser or cabinet, next to it was a sack with a picture of a bird perched on a branch. I also saw the semicircular mouse holes that lined the bottom of the wall. To my right was a fireplace with several pots and pans on it.

A little further I saw a small bed which was for Angel, next to it another mouse hole. On the floor was a rug with a flower design in the middle. In front of a window next to the chimney was a lantern, along with a nightstand with a jug placed on it. On the other side of the room were a couch and a chair both a shade of green, but on the chair was a heart, between them a small table.

Behind the couch was a lamp along with bookshelves behind both the couch and chair and two more small beds on either side of the room.

I got off of Lynx and shook myself off to rid myself of the water, as did Lynx, which got onto me, making me wet again. I shook myself off again and was taken by surprise when Fluttershy scooped me up and swaddled me in a warm towel, Lynx curled up by the fireplace and went to sleep. Fluttershy placed me next to him and I snuggled into the soft towel making a few coos and went to sleep.
