As the Frigate "Forward Unto Dawn" drifted through uncharted space, Cortana's attention was drawn from her Replay of Noble Six fighting for Reach, by the near-silent hum of nearby Covenant technology. As she turned on the auto-thaw process on Master Chief's Cryo-pod, she started a simulation of him taking out a covanant phantom full of Megalekgalo. of course though, he always won.
John-117's POV
I felt the familiar sensation of freezer-burn as the Cryo-pod started the thawing process, the steam bursting through the hatch. I got out of the pod and walked over to the podium where Cortana was standing, "What happened," I asked. "There are Covenant engines outside, I wanted you to wake up early and get ready," she calmly replied. I transferred her data chip from the podium to my helmet and walked over to the barracks, I found a half empty pistol and a Designated Marksman Rifle that was missing the scope. Also I picked up three M-32's and a Jet-pack and put them in their designated spots. After that I walked over to where the hum was the loudest and set up a makeshift barricade out of some scrap metal and some crates, and then I crouched in the corner and waited.
Thel Vadam's POV
John has been missing for 7 years, I miss him. If this is the same ship, then the Humans and I will be most pleased. The Humans finished cutting through the titanium door and I sent a squad of grunts in, the grunts walked through the door and-{CRACK} a DMR shot split the Grunt's skull in half. Soon all three grunts were dead, one choking on its own blood. I walked through calmly and looked around for my friend, and found him struggling to pull the trigger on the rifle, his gun having jammed. All of he sudden the ship gave a lurch and everything started shifting to the left, we must have been pulled into a planet's gravity field, I looked out the window and saw a colourful blue-green world with patches of yellow. "Its me! Thel Vadam," I screamed to the Chief as we approached the Sphere of blue-green. I struggled to walk over to him and-

Twilight Sparkle heard a strange noise from the edge of her hearing, she looked up and saw a foreign metal object shooting through the atmosphere and impacting somewhere in the Everfree forest. Distressed, she ran towards Ponyville to tell her friends.
When she got there she saw the normally peaceful town was in complete disarray, ponies were running everywhere and tripping over their own hooves. She ran to the library and grabbed the still sleeping Spike from his cradle and dashed out the door towards rarity's boutique. She got to the boutique and rushed around, trying to find Rarity. she realized that Rarity must have been doing the same thing she was, Twilight ran to Fluttershy's house next.

As chaos erupted throughout Ponyville, a deep laugh resonated throughout the royal gardens, a crack appearing on a single stone statue. "It is finally time for me to rise again, time for my revenge," A dark figure trapped inside of the statue whispered to himself.

"This is worst day ever," John muttered to himself as he pushed some twisted metal off of himself. John leaped over the rear bumper of a burning warthog, and tried to find a weapon, or a piece of metal that would serve as one. as he was searching, he found a rusty crowbar with "G.F." etched in the side of it lying buried in the smoldering dirt, and picked it up. 'it isn't a gun, but it will do,' the chief thought inside of his dank helmet. John walked over to the wreckage of the hull and found a combat knife lying on the ground, he walked over and put the knife in it's sheath. When he stood back up he heard growling coming from behind him, he turned around and saw what seemed to be a dog made of pieces of wood. The Chief ran towards the beast and reached for the crowbar and pulled it off of the magnetic harness on the back of his armor and slammed it on the creatures maw, fracturing a couple of pieces of wood, and effectively disableing one of it's prime weapons. while it was recovering from the blow, the Spartan charged towards the beast and ruggedly grabbed it up and threw it as far away as possible, before dashing into the wreck of the Forward Unto Dawn.
