Sometime later the fliers arrived back at the beach, Beatrix Belladonna still in tow, who they set down onto the crystal sands.

A number of the crew stayed behind to watch over the ship, Captain Calaeno included, who worked alongside her pirates and kept a constant watchful eye on the Dazzlings each time they swam back into view with fresh treasures in tow. “Looks like you three had some fun,” their leader quipped and nodded at their nakedness, stood at the edge of the deck to oversee operations.

“Long story,” said Beatrix who waved a hand and summoned back her entire costume over her. “Anyways, there's no time! We have to get back and help out Spike! He and Lightning Dust have been captured by this crazy tribe-”

“Slow down,” said Calaeno who hopped down, kicking up a cloud of sand where she landed. “You say they're in trouble? Alright everyone,” she called. “Get armed and ready, we'll discuss it on the way! We can't leave our comrades behind!”

Clothes were tossed to Rainbow Dash and Scootaloo who quickly redressed in a similar matter to their usual wear. The crew loaded up with flintlocks, rifles, cutlasses, knives, and explosives, prepared to take on a small army if necessary.

Calaeno boarded the ship by its bridge and locked the ship down so it couldn't be stolen. She also booby trapped it despite her reservations, because much as she loved her baby, she would sooner have it destroyed than taken from her. There were enough explosives aboard to level it several times over, a last resort she hoped would never prove necessary.

Within minutes they were ready to head out. The sirens swam up to meet them, their soaked nude bodies glistening under the sunlight, droplets falling off their bare tits. “Wait,” said Adagio who waded between her sisters. “We want to come with you.”

Beatrix quirked a suspicious eyebrow. “Why?”

“We're bored,” admitted Aria who shrugged. “We don't get to explore the land often.”

“That's only because you eat people,” replied Beatrix who planted hands on her hips and shook her head.

Sonata frowned. “Hey, we're past that! Besides, that's like our natural order!”

“We'll behave,” assured Adagio as they waddled onto the shore. The threesome stretched their naked bodies, gills expanding and contracting on one side of their bellies. “Don't worry, we can last at least several days without water.”

Beatrix smirked and asked, “Salt or fresh water?”

“We can survive on either,” answered Adagio. “Although the former is our preference.”

“Actually our preference is semen,” mumbled Aria whose smile was closer to a cocky sneer. “Or blood.” She licked her lips.

The sisters didn't bother to dress, and fell into step with the pirates. The captain took the lead, her closest members falling into formation. While they didn't arm the Dazzlings, their leader assured them their natural weapons were more than enough. Rattles sounded when they started to march towards the jungle, ready to kick ass and take names to recover their comrades.

Yet no sooner did they set out when a familiar buzz sounded. Beatrix drew her lips in a line. “Oh no-”

A black cloud swarmed into view and eclipsed the sun. Darkness fell over the beach, and at first glance the pirates would have imagined a storm was about to hit, but hands went to cutlasses and flintlocks kept at their hips, ready to try and fight the swarm that was about to descend. However, it was like trying to fight the elements themselves, as the parasprites buzzed about.

“Ah! Get them off,” cried Sonata who fell as they clung to her and her siblings, thrashing at the colorful little creatures.

“They don't eat flesh,” yelled Beatrix as the entire crew was overtaken. Not that it proved much solace to the crew, some who wildly slashed or in a few cases fired into the dark shroud, smoke rising and sparks flying each time a bullet unloaded. Their captain ordered them to not to shoot, not that they had much choice as the parasprites were swift to devour their weapons.

Mere moments passes as they were stripped clean of their armaments and clothes, and the strange but oddly cute insects continued to crawl over their bared bodies, desperate to find any more unnatural objects to devour whole.

“Not again,” whined Beatrix who decided not to bother summoning a new outfit yet. “Wait, the ship!”

“My baby,” cried Calaeno who desperately ran to their transport, desperate to somehow save it. The tattoo on her back glowed and wings unfurled in a shower of colorful feathers, whereupon she broke into a desperate flight.

“Wait,” cried Beatrix who huffed as she ran beside her. “Carry me, I've got an idea!” The captain nodded and swooped her up. At her direction they sped ahead of the swarm and she was planted on the deck, determined to face down the swarm. “Rainbow Dash, Scootaloo!” She cupped her hands and called to the fliers who flew after them. “Help Calaeno herd the swarm!”

Using an index finger, Beatrix sliced into reality and drew the widest circle she had ever dared. The rift hummed and made the air itself quiver and ripple, like it threatened to unravel the laws of physics itself. Yet she saw little choice but to gamble.

The pirate captain rose to meet the fliers, a nod shared between the three before they split off. They zipped about, herded the swarm towards the bluish-white hole, which hummed so loud they winced and the air itself started to twist and lose color. The noise also served to disrupt the insects, unable to maintain their usual formation and able to be herded by the trio.

Groaning, Beatrix sweated and strained to maintain her creation, barely able to handle the pressure around her that threatened to crush her bones were she to lose control. To say nothing of the potential cataclysmic results to this world!

While a few slipped through the cracks, eventually the entire swarm was funneled into the nexus. Beatrix slammed the portal shut and nearly tumbled over, soaked in sweaty when she collapsed to her knees and huffed. “We-we did it,” she panted.

Around her the fliers landed, and she surveyed the deck for damage, portions of craft eaten away. Luckily after a quick inspection the captain announced, “It's mostly cosmetic. Good work, everyone! I owe you a ton, Beatrix.”

“Nah,” she replied and smiled. “Not sure I'll take that kind of risk again, though.” The sun again bore down on them, and while she was thankful her ability to weave a portal had improved, she still needed tons of practice to refine it.

“So~.” Dash marched up. “That was quite a setback, but at least no one was hurt!”

“Just our pride,” said Scootaloo. “Not to mention all the stuff we lost.. Still, could have been way worse!”

“Don't worry about it,” said Dash who nudged her. “How would you like to go native? I think we can whip up some sexy costumes from what's on hand!” She flew down and her sidekick followed, as they started to fashion costumes from the jungle.

Soon the crew followed, as they concealed themselves in hastily fashioned loin clothes that tantalized more than they hid, their tops and backsides left bare. Some of them crushed berries and painted themselves in brilliant colors to boot.

Rather than clothe herself like usual, Beatrix decided to dress like the rest of them, despite how much she missed her hat and cape in particular. The sirens still didn't bother with a shred of clothes, and they once more armed themselves with what they could find in storage.

Once more the pirates set out, hopeful they could reach Spike and Lightning Dust in time...
