Author's Note

I never thought In would say this, but I'm back folks!

School was so bad last year that I thought a comeback was impossible, but ever since I swapped school both my grades and my motivation have improved.

This is not my best chapter, so feel free to complain and tell me how I could’ve done better.

Criticism always helps.

Chapter 4: Helpful Advice

Apple Bloom
Scootaloo
Sweetie Belle

Scootaloo was struggling against the magic grip, threatening to push her into the bubbly liquid below.

Every muscle in her body was strained, her legs spread apart in an X, clutching onto the edge of the tube, straining to hold her grip.

The magic-user sighted, giving Scootaloo a look of annoyance. "Please, stop resisting. This will happen either way, if you want it or not..."

"No! Please! Don't do this to me! Sweetie Belle! Help!"

The unicorn fully looked up, before shaking her head. "Sorry Scoot, but I'm with Rarity on this one. You really need a bath..."

"Traitor! You will-" *Splash!*

Scootaloo didn't get to finish her sentence, as her legs finally gave out, resulting in the filly landing in the water where she trashed around for a moment, before finally calming down.

"Hey! The water is actually quite cozy. Nice and warm..."

"I told you it wasn't that bad."

Scootaloo didn't reply, having resumed struggling after getting assaulted by Rarity's brush, much to the later mare's annoyance.

"Girls! Hurry up or we'll be late for school!" someone shouted from outside.

Scootaloo hopped out of the bathtub like she had been hit by lightning and drenched everpony around her.

"Saved by the bell. I could kiss you, Bloom!"

As Scootaloo dashed for the door she left Rarity and Sweetie Belle with dripping manes and soaked coats.

Rarity sighed before she started drying herself with a towel. "I know it's not a choice to be an orphan, but that filly really needs a mother..."

Scootaloo had a small skip in her step as the trio of friends made their way to the local school.

Apple Bloom was the first to speak up. "So, first day at school if I got you correctly?"

Scootaloo nodded. “Yeah, this is awesome. It was nice of Rarity to sign me up under her name since I technically have no guardians.”

Apple Bloom raised an eyebrow at that. “Is that even legal?”

Scootaloo shrugged. “No idea, and as long as I get to learn how to read, I honestly don't care.”

“Wait, you can't read?”

“When was I supposed to learn? First day at school remember?”

As they approached the school building, Scootaloo’s happy pace came to a sudden halt.

Then she grabbed both of her friends and pushed them into a nearby bush.

“Hey!” Sweetie Belle complained. “What was that for?”

Scootaloo quickly placed a hoof on her lips, silencing her as she carefully peered out from between the branches of the bush.

”Quite. You see those guys in front of the school?” She pointed at a mare and a stallion that were lingering in front of the building. ”I think they’re armed. Either way, they're up to, it’s not good…”

”Armed?” Apple Bloom whispered back, ”What makes you think they're armed?

”Their clothes and posture. Hidden cutie mark. The sunglasses and caps they wear look innocent enough, but they wear them in such a way their identities are hidden. Those leather clothes have traces of knife combat. Finally, I’m pretty sure the stallion has a gun in that guitar case of his.”

”A gun? Are you sure you're not just paranoid?” Sweetie Belle spoke up ”What would they do here with guns anyway?”

”My guess? Rob the money from the charity event you held yesterday. The school made the front page, especially when it comes to the part where you collected over 4000 bits…”

Before Sweetie Belle could reply, the mare took a careful look around before giving the stallion a signal.

The stallion in turn opened his guitar case and pulled out what looked like a pair of automatic weapons, handing one to his partner in crime before both disappeared inside the school building.

After a moment of shock, the bush finally started speaking again. “Buck, I hate it when you're right…”

“For once I agree with you, this is supposed to be my first school day.” Scootaloo shot back. “Unity?”

The other fillies nodded. “Unity.”

The bush lit up with a flash of light and a second later the bush was still there, but now there was a little Alicorn entangled in it.

“Buck, we didn't plan this through…”

After having freed herself, Unity quietly sneaked through the hallways of the school. The inside of her head however was anything but quiet.

Sweetie Belle, can you please focus? Our appearance doesn't matter right now.

We’re covered in sticks and leaves from that bush. If we’re a superhero shouldn't we at least wait until the fight starts before we look like we've gone through one? Sweetie Belle replied, using Unity’s magic to pluck another stick out of their shared mane.

I'm pretty sure our first priority should be saving everypony.

She’s making a valid point there. I'm with Scoot on this one.

I'm not disagreeing with that. Obviously, that comes first, however, since we're three minds in 1 body, can't we effort to multitask a bit and do more than one thing simultaneously?

Well, you're not wrong… still, priorities Sweetie.

Girls, I think I hear them!

Alright, we'll discuss this later. Anypony got a plan?

No plan, but I do have an idea…

Works as well. Hit me.

You’re getting the idea…

The robber’s good day ended when he was hit across the head by something hard and heavy.

Rubbing his head in pain, he looked up and came face to face with Unity. “What do you think you're doing?”

Unity’s eyes nervously darted between the armed couple and the baseball bat in her magical grip.

“Uh, trying to knock you out?” she finally replied with a nervous smile.

The stallion snorted, before shaking his head. “That's not how you knock somepony out! Let me show you how it’s done!”

He yanked the baseball bat out of Unity’s magical grip, before bringing it down on the head of his partner with a practiced swing.

She went out like a light.

“See? It's not that complicated.” he handed the bat back to Unity. “Now you try.”

Unity stared at the bat, before shrugging and taking it.

BONK!

The stallion grinned. “Now you got it! It's not that hard now ey?” His eyes crossed and he joined the mare on the ground.

Silence followed, only interrupted by a soft clatter as Unity awkwardly dropped the baseball bat onto the ground.

Officially this never happened.

Deal!
