//-------------------------------------------------------// The Fallen Angel of Equestria -by Sapphire-Stone- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 1 //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 1 They call me Elise; The Killer. I am a hybrid of a human and what the Division calls DA-421 - or Division Anomaly-421; The Fallen Angel. This entity is of humanoid origin that has black wings that of what humans refer to as Fallen Angels. - and I am a fugitive. I ended up in the Divisions' custody for being born with purple eyes, which gives me abilities akin to magic. I am of a slim stature and I have long, curly blonde hair, and the aforementioned purple eyes. I'm what the Division call a "perfect specimen" for their tests. I was taken from my parents when I turned eight years old and told that I was being put into a foster system due to them no longer wanting a child, I hated them for this. I later found out that I was being lied to by another kid that was captured. I still remember it like it was yesterday. ~[Flashback]~ -The Entrance of Anomaly Holding Room B40- ~2:43 AM~ I felt a hand lightly grasp my shoulder. As I turn to look, the person put his finger over his lips as to shush me. "Don't worry, it's just me; Gregg." He whispered. "Look Elise, I know what they do to people that stay here when they become adults! They are turned into some kind of soldier to fight people like us, but a lot more dangerous!" He whispers, a scared look in his eye. "What? I you know how stupid that sounds, right?" I say in return, as I exhale a small scoff and rolling my eyes. "Elise, have you ever wondered why the older kids were taken when they turned 18 when we were first sent here?" He said, pointing out the fact that there was, in fact, something amiss. I just scoffed again, admittedly, in ignorance. "So? If their are bad people out there with powers like ours, shouldn't we fight them to save everyone else?" I say, incredulous to his fear. His eyes start to tear up as he starts to talk. "My brother was sent here before I was, when he didn't come home for a long time, I asked my mother why and she told me he died!" He said, his whisper turning into a small, quiet yell. "I lost it, and my eyes turned purple and I started to move things, no, throw things around the house without touching them! A few days later, my parents got a knock at the door and it was one of those men, they told me I was no longer wanted by my parents and they agreed after having something sprayed in their face." He said, going back into a whisper. "They don't want to give us to other parents, they want to use us for our abilities to fight other people! If we don't do what they say, they will wipe our minds, just like they did with my brother!" He quietly exclaimed. "Oh? And just how do you know that?" I say, antagonistically. "He's the one who put me here!" He says, eyes glowing purple as he spoke. "Wha--?!" I almost yell, but he covers my mouth, shushing me once more. "Keep it down, El!" If the "guards" spot me, I share the same fate as my brother!" He quietly exclaims quietly. ~[End Flashback]~ BUZZZ I hear the holding door open. I look to see a man in a white shirt, white pants, and white shoes. One of the Division's "doctors" as they call them, more like fucking psychopaths with a PhD, steps in. His shoes echo within the large room that holds only me, everyone else is either dead or being used as weapons. 'But not me...' I think, getting ready to run. My wings shift, ready to get me airborne long enough to jump over the man. "DA-421-30, it's time..." He said, sternness in his voice. His glasses gleamed in the single white, fluorescent light above his head. His clipboard in one hand, "obedience device" -- a shock stick -- in the other. I glare daggers at him, plotting my escape from the day I got here. After years of trying I have not been successful...but today? Today, I'm getting out. I will escape...or die trying. "Fuck. You." I spit, venom dripping from my words as my eyes turn and glow a dark, shadowy purple. He notices this and, with shock-stick at the ready, he charges. "Come at me..." I almost whisper as a feral, rage-induced fury washes over me as I charge, stopping just short of the man, jumping over him. Once back on the ground, I sprint towards the room's exit as I hear him angerly grunt. I hear him run after me just as I get through the door, I press the locking mechanism and lock him in. "Not this time, asshole!" I yell as I run from the door to the exit of the building, a good number of guards running towards the same direction. I grunt in annoyance. "Hell no, you are NOT keeping me in this hell hole any--" I tried to say, only for darkness to fill the world around me, and I fall in the abyss. 'Save yourself, young one.' A female whisper echoed within the seemingly infinite abyss. *** IN EQUESTRIA *** In a dimly candle-lit room, lays Princess Celestia in a much needed slumber. Her body jolts upward from a disturbance in magic. She looks to the sky, seeing only a singular falling star. She smiles at this, thinking it was her sister's doing. 'Only...wait...is...is that star moving...' She started thinking only for the "star" to move closer and closer towards her room. "What in Eque--" She was cut off from the "star" to then crash straight into her room with a loud boom. Hearing this, guards burst in the room, spears and magic at the ready. "Princess are you okay?!" says one of the bat-pony guards. Celestia only looks on in shock at the sight, mouth agape. She shakes off the shock. "I am fine, thank you, fair guardsponies." She says regally, a small shake in her voice doesn't do much to relieve them. They look at the impact point again only to see a creature, close in nature to that of an ape, but hairless...and...with wings? "Princess, what is that...thing?" Said the Bat-Pony, fear clear in his voice from the unknown motives of this new creature. "I--I don't know, fair guard, but I do know that whatever it is, we must make sure that it means no harm to us or Equestria." She said, shaking off the fear of this seemingly random creature showing up out of nowhere. "Sister...what is that?!" came a worried voice from behind the guards. . Author's Note Okay! soooo first chapter! I know it's a tad bit short and may or may not give WAY too much exposition and what not, but i am just getting back into writing! Which, hopefully with college, will come a lot easier and not so brain-wracking. Anywho, I hope you enjoyed this first chapter! Many more to come :D //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 2 //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 2 - Elise's POV - "Save yourself, young one..." Came a calming female voice from the seemingly infinite black void. I feel as though I'm falling yet there's not up nor down, left or right. I'm just falling infinitely in all directions yet in one place. My stomach churns as the feeling of sudden vertigo consumes my entire being; as if getting up too fast...but a thousand times at once. Just as I'm about to lose what little lunch I had, the void breaks and land takes its place. Plummeting to the ground, I try to use my wings but to no avail. 'Damn...' I thought. 'Too weak to move, luckily there's enough magic in the air to break my inevitable collision with the ground.' I carefully analyzed the surroundings, noticing that I wasn't about to hit the ground...no...I just have to be plummeting towards a palace. Face...meet wall. Wall, meet face. BANG The blow to my body was enough to knock me unconscious, but before I was knocked out I heard a voice say "What in Eque--" then everything went black. - Hours later in the Canterlot infirmary - "Is...is it alive, doctor?" said a regal, motherly female voice. wait...'it'? What does she mean by 'it'? I think, trying my best to let whoever is treating me know that I'm conscious, but to no avail. I try to lift my arms, move my fingers and toes. Yet, nothing seemed to work, no matter how hard I tried. "I believe so, princess," I hear a male voice say, as he takes a breath. "Its vitals seem stable enough, but it doesn't seem conscious." The male voice said, hopelessly. I hear them both moving around and talking about me. Then they stop suddenly. The abrupt silence is then filled with what sounds like a low, mystical pulsing noise. The same type of sound my magic does when I'm charging it for a flight burst. This sound, however doesn't speed up, it's a constant, droning pulse-like noise - like a radar - going all around me. My body tenses up and I no longer feel the medical bed underneath me. I feel my wings spread out to their full length as the magic within them finally discharges. The magical discharge causes the noise to go from pulsing to a low bass-like hum for only a second. My body's tension releases and I feel immediately better. "My word!" The regal voice spoke, her voice in obvious awe and fear. "Doctor, are you okay?!" She calls as I hear her run over to him. "Yes, Your Majesty, I'm okay." He grunts, seemingly getting up. "The creature looked as though it was releasing the magic that stopped it from dying from the massive crash that took place in your quarters." He said, a small bit of fear filled his voice. As they spoke more about the incident, I felt my body become more awake. I tried to move my arms again, but still nothing. 'Damn!' I yelled in my head, thinking of any other way I could try to communicate. Then, I tried my fingers and it worked! 'Yes! Okay, good!' I beamed in thought. 'Alright, so I just need to figure out how to get their attention...I could try opening my eyes, but they still feel extremely heavy and nigh impossible to open right now, but that could have been the magic keeping me from doing anything for so long.' I sussed in my head. 'Welp..here goes!' I thought, while straining to open my eyes. After a few minutes of trying, I felt them crack open just a little. 'HAH!' I celebrated, my plan slowly coming to fruition. 'Just a little more...' I thought, straining my eyes open as hard as I could. More and more light seeped into my recovering vision. As my eyes adjusted to the bright light above me, I started seeing the blobs of objects slowly coming into focus. Just as I was about to look down towards my feet, I saw two horse-like creatures look at me with shock in their eyes. "Oh my!" The white one exclaimed. "It's eyes are beautiful!" She said, eyes still wide in shock. "Quite." The brown horse, with a lab-coat and glasses said. "It seems to me that she's slowly regaining her motor functions, yet my magical scan still shows that her body is under great strain." He assessed, his horn glowing a bright orange. "I posit it will need a magical recharge before it can regain full motor function." He said, looking at what seemed to be a large book with the title text reading "Magical Procedures for Otherworldly Creatures - Volume 1". 'Well shit...' I thought. 'A magical recharge like that would take a really long time...or a REALLY powerful spell...' I thought dejectedly. I was just about to close my eyes to process what else to do when an idea came to mind. 'She's royalty, has both horns and wings...maybe she can charge me...' I thought as I got an even better - or worse depending on how it might go - idea. 'If I can psychically link with her, I could probably use a low level telepathy spell to talk to her!' I surmised, hoping on any divine being out there that it'd work. Before I could do anything though, I heard her sigh. "How long would it take her to absorb ambient magic to recharge fully?" Her eyes fell on my own, a small smile appeared on her face as if she knew what I was already thinking before I could even link with her. He sighed as well and looked through a few pages. "It says here that bipedal creatures would usually take hours in a high ambient magic zone...unfortunately, the ambient magic here would leave her recharging for months due to how pony physiology works and innately absorbs a lot of ambient magic." He said whilst looking at the princess with sad eyes. I saw her smile a bit wider, a knowing look on her face as she turned to me. "What if I charged some of my magic to the air around us, would that give our newcomer enough to move?" She said, still turned towards me, eyes facing the doctor. "That could work..." The doctor said as he turned back to the book. "...The book says the energy needs to be drawn out as lightly as possible so the bipedal creature may absorb it slowly enough that it would not hurt them." I heard her chuckle a bit. "I could do that." She smiles, looking at me. "If that's what you want, blink twice." She asks, winking at me. After processing what I heard, I blinked twice. 'Hopefully, I can absorb it fast enough to be able to speak within a few minutes...I can't stand not being able to talk!' I thought, almost happy that magic was a normal -- or at least seemingly normal -- thing in this world. "Okay! Doctor, I shall start now." She said, her eyes closing and her horn glowing a bright sunshine yellow. As her horn started to glow, I immediately felt my body absorb the ambient magic. My entire being felt warm, like being wrapped in a hot blanket, and I felt a sudden peace wash over me. The magic did it's work as I could feel my motor functions slowly coming back. I felt my arms start to release any tension they had, same with my legs, body, jaw, and feet. What felt even better though, was my wings. The feeling of all that tension releasing sent a wave of what could only be described as pure euphoria throughout my entire being. After about five or so minutes, the procedure was done and I could finally speak. I lifted myself up with a grunt. "Oh, thank god! I can move again!" I said happily, stretching my arms upward. "Mmm...Ahhhh!" I sighed in delight, feeling all my bones crack and set back where they're supposed to be. "You have my greatest thanks, Princess!" I say as I smile at her. She returned the smile and turned around to walk away, but stopped after a few steps and turned her head slightly to me. "Get some rest, we have much to discuss." She said in a light, warm tone. She then turns to face forward again, and walks off. The brown pony doctor looks at me before smiling. "You are very lucky she isn't mad at you for crashing into her room and destroying the place." He said also turning around and walking out, leaving me with wide eyes and jaw dropped. "fuck..." Author's Note AAAAAAAAAAAAnd there we have it!
