Chapters "Spike....Spike!!" said a voice as the young baby dragon was on the ground hearing nothing but screaming and a random beeping noise...spike had on a grey jumpsuit and a big device on his neck all he could see when he opened his eyes were not ponies but humans, but they were dying in front of him before his eyes, he tried to get up, but instead fell back down feeling weaker and weaker
"DAMN IT..!!" said the boy once more "COME ON SPIKE GET UP, YOU NEED TO LIVE, YOU GOTTA!!" the black haired boy said to the baby dragon as he fell down as well, he also had the strange device on his neck and the grey jumpsuit, he crawls towards the baby dragon and says with a weak voice
"S-Spike...run..please...if you don't get any c-candy soon....you'll die..." the boy gives him his last piece of purple candy but the baby dragon shook his head, wounded, scared and half dead the baby dragon was crying
b-but....what about you....? the baby dragon said as he garbed the candy and squeezed it as hard as he could "WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO YOU CAN'T EAT ANY CANDY!?"
Spike is a deadman
It all started in ponyville, spike was enjoying the party and was having fun with his friends this wasn't just a normal party, this was a pinkie pie party, and she threw the best parties in all of equestria, this party was to celebrate the 1 year anniversary of the triumphant defeat of discord, The mane six defeated discord using the elements of harmony and once again proving that the magic of friendship can do anything if you set your mind to it, Spike was a bit mad at himself that he didn't help with the hole defeating-discord-and-getting-all-the-glory thing but that was a year ago so he was over it
having fun spike? said the purple unicorn to her assistant
"oh uh yeah twilight, tonight's a blast" said spike as he smirked a little "plus this will be a chance to score some big points with rarity" twilight just rolled her eyes and giggled at her assistant
"Hey?" said the baby dragon with a angry tone "I think now I have a shot with rarity even more now that i'm older i'm also wiser to"
"Spike, your birthday was last week" said the purple unicorn
"yeah but still" Spike said with a determined look in his eye "Rarity's gonna be mine someday and i'l be big and strong and i'll be able to protect her and you guys to!" Spike was not joking, ever since the wedding he wanted to be big and strong so he can help his friends in a fight but more importantly to protect Rarity, the mare he loved more then anything in the world, suddenly spike burped up a message from princess Celestia it looked very important
Twilight looked at the message very carefully "girls we need to cut the party short" said twilight in a serious look on her face "The princess needs us at canterlot asap"
"Hmm ah wonder what the princess needs from us tonight?" said applejack the orange coated cowgirl pony
"Well, i'm not sure applejack" said the white coated purple maned unicorn "But at least we get to see the princess"
"Yeah twilight" said the rainbow maned blue coated pegasis with an enthusiastic tone "Besides maybe she just wants to congratulate us on how awesome we are, but more importantly how awesome I am"
"OH OH OHH" said the pink coated and maned pony "MAYBE SHE WANTS TO INVITE US TO THE SUPER BESTES ULTRA MEGA PARTY OF ALL TIME!!!" she was jumping up and down in excitement
"W-Well....maybe its to tell us what a good job we've done.." said the yellow coated purple maned pegasis with a scared tone
"Well whatever the reason we need to go" said twilight with a serious tone "come on everypony lets go the six ponies and spike went to the train station and made their way to canterlot but when they made it there everything was destroyed and in nothing but rubble and broken stores and shops
"AHH T-TWILIGHT!!" said spike while he hid behind twilight "w-what happened, everything is all destroyed and stuff"
this was a mystery to twilight and the other ponies, was this why the mane six were called, was chrysalis behind all of this for revenge or was it worse, she was trying to hope that the princess was alright so she and her friends ran to the kingdom to see what happened to princess celestia and everypony else in canterlot, but before they could get inside of the castle, the six ponies were blasted by a beam of light and were turned to stone, everypony but spike as he was fine.
"GIRLS!!" spike said trying to see what became of his friends "Wh-Who ever you are come out and fight me, I c-can take you on!" it was obvious spike was bluffing, but he wanted to find out who causedhis friends to turn to stone and how he was not turned to stone
"Oh please you honestly think you a baby dragon can stop me?" Said a familiar voice, spike remembbered that voice, but deep in his heart he hoped he was wrong
"Wh-Whose there?" said spike scared and trembling then a strange creature was suddenly right in front of the baby dragon as he landed softly on the ground and looked at spike "D-DISCORD!?!" said the baby dragon in disbelief
"Yes it is I discord, god of chaos" he said as he laughed at spikes pain "now your probably wondering why your not turned to stone, aren't you my stupid baby dragon"
"Y-Yeah and how did you get out!!" spike demanded an answer and looked right at discord's face "If you don't give me answers i'll...i'll" discord interrupted spike but zipping his mouth up with a magical zipper
"Well if you must know I can only alive for a few hours..and times almost up" he said as he looks at his tiger arm witch was turning to stone skowly "So I decided to play a game with you and create complete and total chaos" he said then laughs at spike once again.
"Yeah right." said spike "Twilight and the others will stop you, if your going to turn to stone then that means they'll be back soon right?" spike was right as long as discord was turned to stone all of his spells and curses would wear off but discord had a plan
"well well well that is true" discord said as he took out a red crystal from out of his chest then spike looks at him in fear as discord walks close to spike and puts the crystal inside of spikes chest now and he gasps and breaths deeply "Now the crystal I gave you is no magic but its power, id explain more details but it looks like my time is up, enjoy your new life, deadman" Discord laughs evilly as he turns to stone, now Spikes friends were now alive and back to normal, they then see spike sitting down and grabbing his chest
"Spike?" said twilight with a worried tone "what happened?"
Spike paused for a minute and then garbed his aching chest "I-I don't know twilight" he said as he looks at her "but what ever it is, I think his is just the begining"

Spike is a Deadman
After the incident with discord Spike had thought a lot about the crystal that was inside his chest, he just thought it was just some stupid prank discord pulled just to make everypony scared and worried, but after that day spike was getting worried his chest started hurting a lot when the crystal went inside of him, he was scared and he didn't know if it would've been wise to tell everypony else about the whole discord thing.
when the girls asked what happened he lied and said that discord was about to rule over equestria but then celestia came and rescued everyone, celestia also didn't remember anything as she was also turned to stone, so spike had to make some excuses and twist the story a bit (ok a lot) so no pony would get suspicious, he wore a bandage wrap around his chest on the way back home, twilight and the girls asked about the bandage wrap he said he got hit in the chest and thought it was bleeding, when they asked him to go to the hospital he said he didn't want to worry anypony and that he was fine.
"Am I really ok?" he said to himself "I-I mean what was that whole thing with discord about..a-and what the heck is a deadman, is that some sort of illness"
what ever is was spike did not like the sound of it, he especially didn't like the whole "DEAD" part of it anymore, he wanted to ask twilight badly, but he was afraid it was some sort of virus or even worse, that it was some sort of fatal illness, spike really did not like the sound of that.
"Spike" said twilight as she was in the front of the door "i'm going to go to lunch with the girls, would you like to come along?" before he could answer he thought that it would be a perfect chance to find out what exactly is a deadman and if spike needed to worry or not
"Gee twilight I would" said the baby dragon, just tto be sure twilight wouldn't think he was lying he grabed a broom and started sweeping
"but I need to take care of some chores, don't wanna be sloppy, no siry bob not for twilight sparkles number 1 assistant"
he said pretending to do chores his pony sister then looked at him with disbelief and sighed
"a-alright spike" said twilight "just please feel free to visit us when your done ok?"
"Y-Yeah" Said the baby dragon don't worry twi, you won't even recognize the place when you get back"
right after twilight left spike dropped the broom and went straight to the books, this was not the first time he said no to a spend times with his friends, he did this for 2 weeks now, everytime twilight went out he ran to the boks and started searching for a book to see if any of them said anything about a deadman he lied to twilight and the others everyday for 2 weeks, just so he could find out something about this whole deadman thing, what did it mean and why, how and what lead him to become a deadman he then thought that today is the day he finds out what exactly a deadman is.
he skimmed through 10 books a minute just so he can find out what exactly is a deadman, he looked at the last book, but alas nothing, spike found nothing on the phrase deadman, he was getting scared now, what would happen if he was right, what if it was fatal, and what if he might die at any second in the day, if thats all true he could never see his friends ever again or be alive long enough to do all the things he always wanted to do.
"is this it?" he said with tears coming down his checks "am I gonna die...darn it..so many things to do..so many things left unsaid....I -I can't die now...Please god...I can't di-"
suddenly his chest started to hurt, but it was an excruciating pain this time the pain was so terrible he grabbed his chest as hard as he could and and screams in pain
"AHH No, No it can't be, i-is this it, did discord mean I was going to die...his plan was to....kill....me...?" he said with his last breath and then fell to the ground
"no...this can't be....I-I can't...die...." he said as he tried to crawl through the door "..not now.....not so soon.....I....just...need to...live"
looking at the library one last time before his vision faded away and then finally closed his eyes, after some time he slowly woke up and got up on his knees, he looked around and one thing is for sure, he was not in the library, in fact he probably wasn't even in equestria anymore, just then he saw a dark red blade cutting off his top spine but just an inch, this caused spike to fall down in fear, then he thought since he isn't dead yet it's probably some joke that pinkie pie and rainbow dash are pulling on him, he thought that they did do worse to him so he grinned and then breathed deeply hoping this was true.
"O-Okay dash you and pinkie pie got me" said spike getting up "Stop trying to scare me its not funny anymore!"
he then noticed the long blade slashed him in the stomach right when he got cut he coughed up some blood and then fell down on the ground, holding on to his stomach he got back up then fell on his knees
"Hey kid" said a mysterious figure, "what the hell do you think your doing here?"
as he walk a little closer he looked very strange in spikes eyes this creature didn't look like a pony nor dragon nor any creature he's ever laid his eyes on before, this made spike even more worried knowing the fact that he is not only a possible psychopath but the fact he's using some sort of magic or ability he or possibly no pony has ever seen in equestrian history.
"H-Hey" said spike as he got up once again but slower this time "Just who in the heck are you and why are you atta-" he then got slashed by the mysterious figure and his blades that looked like it was coming out of his arms
"well kid you got a pair coming over here" Said this mysterious creature he didn't seem to notice he was talking to a dragon, it was dark and spike couldn't get a closer look on who or what was torturing him
"Who are you...what are you" said spike grabbing his stomach and staying down this time "Why are you doing this to me!!!
This psychopath crackled in the most insane and demented way possible, he then looked away walking back a bit "looks kid" he said "I don't care who you are, what you are or where you came from, or how the hell you got in MY cell, my purpose in life is to kill, thats...it" he then summoned his blades again
"MY name is senji kiyomasa" he said in his fighting stance "And I'm a deadman"
Spike was stunned, not only because of the fact that he was possibly going to die, but he said that word, the word that he was searching the meaning for this entire 2 weeks spike then sat up
"did you just say" he said with a depressing tone "your a...dead...man?"
Spike was faced off with this strange creature who could use some sort of blade technique, at this point spike would just usually run away but he couldn't take that chance this time, he needed to know exactly what is a deadman so spike stood up and then yelled
"HEY YOU" yelled the determined baby dragons "I need answers, who or what are you, and also what the heck is a deadman!!"
The mysterious figure laughed and then the red blade went away but turned to some sort of liquid flying around his arm
"ok kid" he said "you see this red goop, its...called...bllooood, you need this to liiiive" He tried explaining to him like he was some sort of idiot.
"I KNOW WHAT BLOOD IS STUPID" yelled spike in a loud irritated tone "AND THAT CRAP AIN'T BLOOD, ITS SOME SORT OF MAGIC OR SOMETHING, now...you told me you were a deadman....what is it...WHATS A DEADMAN!!?"
The strange creature face palmed "magic?" he asked "that stuffs not real, what are you 6, jeez"as he completely looked down on spikes intelligence with the whole "magic" issue he took out the blade from his arms once again "ok this is called branch of sin, with branch of sin you need to bleed to use it, and the only people that can use branch of sin are deadmen"
there was that word again "deadman" as he said it spike thought to hiself "so...discord gave me that weird ability...why...to make me stronger, to play with me...s-so..why am I here...why aren't I in ponyville...what did he do to me..?" spike then fell to his knees and started crying
senji sighed and walked closer to spike "look kid" he said walking towards him "don't act like some little pussy cause if your a bitch or not i'm still gonna kill-"he then gets to see spike not as a human, but as something else "what the hell is this...?" *he then grabs spike by the tail and examines him "the hell are you supose to be huh..a lizard, a comodo dragon, wheres the kid I was talking to?" spike then struggled away from senjis grasp and landed on the ground
"I AM that kid!" he said as he got right back up "And i'm not just some kid I'm a baby dragon" he then looked at senji from head to toe and saw he was huge compared to him "i'm gonna die now aren't I" he said as he gasped then he was patted on the head for some reason
"dude are you nuts!" he said grabbing spike and giving him a brotherly nuggie "your a dragon, A DRAGON no way something as blood thirsty or deadly as a dragon is worth killing...well...unless I see another one....then your mince meat"
spike then regained his fear and backed up "s-so I-I can go?" he asked hoping that his "coolness" would save him from this obvious mad man
"well I never said that" he then kicked spike in the gut "when am I ever gonna fight a dragon again" he then punched spike in the face knocking him down to the floor "now I won't kill you...well... I 'might' kill you but I won't try" he then cracked his knuckles and as he was about to hit spike again he was shot by a some sort of tranquilizer then fell down slowly "d-damn it....this is the third time...this week.." he said as he fell on the ground, spike was also hit but with more darts then senji with his thick scales and all then he looked at his claws and saw triple vision then he fell down and then closed his eyes slowly
"We got the intruder sir" said one of the men in strange suits came closer and looked at spike, right away they knew there was something strange, he was not human "Now that we have the creature what should we do with...it..?"
after that the person who called on the hit was in his desk communicating on his men, he had a business suit on glasses and weird hair style, and he was playing with a toy "send him to me" said this man who looked like he was the boss of this place "I have a very special...teat for him" he said with a crazed laugh and returned to playing with his toy.
