The metamorphose state of a humans transition to becoming an extra-terrestrial being is one which consists of catastrophic ramifications. The anatomy of one’s body becomes disrupted by the change in balance, as flesh and marrow become unparalleled within the void of corruption. The complete structure, form and entity as a whole becomes disfigured beyond understanding, and as your senses heighten, both pain and euphoria are simultaneously experienced. Mogget, the second transcendent being amongst our order of friends had the opportunity to encounter such a feeling. Within the red void, he felt his form being tugged and torn from every comprehendible angle. Reality stood before him moments ago, but now he stared straight into the face of nothingness. Face elongating, hands clotting up and fingers shriveling in; his entirety became one with that of a Pegasus. Wings of light sprouted from his back and his hair formed that of a mane. The apparel that once existed, now long de-fabricated into the non-material existence left the young male stark and bare. His pale white skin suddenly became the threshold of a grey coats existence, the fibres of hair now covering both body and face. Mogget had then finalised his transformation into Pony-hood. A less than graceful descent followed, the newly borne Pegasus had landed on solid space and what used to be an empty paradox had now become a vibrant critter filled garden. Mogget’s senses came to be, the sun beaming down on his cool grey coat and a warm summer breeze which mingled through every strand of mane. The Pegasus lay quietly dazed on a patch of moistened soil, flowers swaying from side to side brushing gently against his wing. It tickled quite a bit. There was nothing unnatural about his presence in Equestria, an excitement stirring within his soul, his body and mind rejoicing as if it had returned home. The breeze settled and Mogget rose to all fours. Panning his head from left to right, he remembered quite clearly the location he had unexpectedly entered. Fluttershy’s garden... A timid squeal arose to his flank, and upon turning he found a young mare concealing herself behind a few blades of tall grass. A mused look turned to one of sheer amusement. “Wh-.. who are you?!” The butterscotch mares creamed in her more than ineffectual manner. “My name is Mogget,-” Did I just say that? “Nice to meet you.” Smiling, he calmly approached who he knew to be Fluttershy. The colt’s mane waved about with each stride as he looked dead straight into Fluttershy’s tender blue eyes. “I’m not going to hurt you.” Mogget said in a reassuring tone. Sadly, the trust required was not given so easily. Only a few inches apart, he drew in closer, staring straight at her face. “Assertive...” She whispered to herself. Straightening up and leveling Mogget’s gaze, she collided nuzzle to nuzzle with the stallion and narrowed a somewhat terrifying look dead centre into his soul. “What do you want?!” The bitter intimidation kicked Mogget hard in the gut. Swallowing hard, the terrified colt back away slowly only to have Fluttershy press harder against him. “I-...I just wand.. I-c-c’mon! I didn’t mean any disrespect or anyth-nhk!” Growling, Fluttershy huffed at the fellow Pegasus and smiled weakly. “Well then... um... Well I’m terribly sorry about that. My name’s Fluttershy, nice to meet you.” I eased up, and with a sigh of relief I followed behind Fluttershy who kindly gestured towards her little cottage that I surprisingly missed. My heart slowed its pace and I regained my senses. It was hard to believe I was in Equestria, albeit what my body felt. It seemed strange enough to feel that everything was natural about my existence in this universe, but to answer with a name fully prepared and at my tongue; strange. What’s weird about being a Pegasus is that I can see to my hind almost perfectly, which is scary and a bit perverse as I think about how I may look to others when peering at my own flank; which is another thing! I’m what you’d call a ‘Blank flank’! Not cool. I hop over a few tree roots and weave between a series of well parted trees. Time passes by before I realise I’m taking in the scenery and staring at a few butterflies that caught the corner of my eye; cute little creatures. Oh Celestia, if only my friends could hear me now. They’d never let me live this down. “Um... So, Fluttershy...” I begin. She perks up and looks back. “Uhh... You’re not scared of me or anything? Not that you should be, it’s just I find it weird that you’d just warm up to me like that.” I saw her muse at me. No surprise. “Well, I mean you did startle me when you just popped up like that, but when I approached you I could feel no hurtful intentions. I’m not sure; it’s too illogical to explain.” Her yellow hooves scuffed against the dirt nervously. “Oh, well oki doki loki!” A perplexed mare lurched back and met me with a strange question that only made sense after moments of thinking. “Where did you learn that?” “Hmm?” I ask. “Oh uh...” It hurts but I have to lie. “A famous saying that has: spread throughout Equestria? Yeah, that’s what it is; a famous saying. Originated from none other than Ponyville I heard.” “Oh really? I didn’t know that. That’s fascinating.” “You’re fascinating” I say. Fluttershy blushes and I grin. I am so smooth! I peer into the subtle blue sky, and witness Celestia’s glory for the first time. The suns warmth coursing through me and the spring air flushing through my lungs, I breathe in and out with satisfaction. “Well, we should probably head inside. I mean, that’s if you want to of course.” She looks at me cutely, her head tucked into her fore-hooves as her right eye is veiled by her silky pink fringe. I could not deny such an adoring look. “Sure!” I pipe. “Oh wonderful!” She cheers in her usual quiet manner. She zips in through the door and I follow. Only moments after I enter her humble abode, I find myself shoved up to a table with an array of aromatic treats displayed all over. “Well, I figured you might be hungry so I fixed something up for you; just a few odds and ends. I really hope you like it.” She pushes up a silver platter covered in cupcakes towards me. I won’t hold back, the food looks amazing so I eagerly lay my hoof on one of the offered pastries and grip firmly the morsel of deliciousness. I quickly shove the whole cupcake in my mouth and chew. De-li- cious! “So uh... Do you like them?” She asks. I simply nod. There were no possible words I could use to describe how I felt. I couldn’t speak anyway, even if I wanted to. I continue to chew the sweet pastry when Fluttershy asks me a quick question. “So um… If you don’t mind me asking, um… Where are you from?” Waiting for my response, she takes up a teapot and pours the two of us a drink. We sit in silence. She sips on her tea, and I reach for another cupcake, though I feel reluctant to take another without first answering Fluttershy’s question. I look up at her and smile, simply saying: “Nowhere in particular, I travel around from here to there and so on. Though the spontaneous teleportation was a little… er… How would you say it, ‘Gratuitous’?” “So you’ve traveled all across Equestria then?” “Here and there.” Placing her now empty cup on the table, she clapped her hooves in delight and said: “Tell me about your experiences, I’m sure that would be interesting!” Fumbling around, I desperately try to think up an excuse to avoid an unnecessary conversation. None. So I try my hardest to come up with something on the spot. “Well, I have been to Manehattan. I’m sure you recognize the name?” “Oh yes, simply amazing!” she exclaimed. “Mmm…” I take a hold of the tea in front and sip. It’s very sweet and frankly very tasty. Everything here has been good so far. I down a few more mouthfuls and attempt to change the topic or atleast get the spotlight off me. “Have you been places?” I ask, leaning in with anticipation of an interesting story or two. “Oh well, maybe I’ll discuss that with you later. I’ve just looked at the clock you see and I really have to leave.” The panic struck as she jolted into the air. “Wait, I forgot about you!” “Don’t worry, I can just wait here I guess.” “Oh no, I’ve a brilliant idea! You have to come with me and meet my friends! I’m sure they’d love to meet you; Pinkie especially.”

It was simply amazing, the town was vibrant and full of colour, and every mare had a rather approving glance at the new stallion that walked into town. However, the other colts expressed otherwise. Given that, Mogget was afraid of a certain stallion’s opinion that would jeopardise his ability to stay in Ponyville; in one piece. A single bead of sweat accumulated at his temple, which was then smeared away as a quick brisk of a hoof removed it. Looking to his left, he saw Fluttershy jut up into the air as she caught a stray kite. Making a slow drop, she landed safely on the ground only to have a close encounter with incapacitation. A blur of red and what appeared to be white; later turning to a dark blonde, rushed recklessly towards Fluttershy causing the young mare to cower ‘Eep’ and duck beneath her fore hooves. Luckily, the oncoming blur braked and who other to appear than Big Macintosh. Fluttershy crept out of her feeble cover and sheepishly grinned, handing him the kite that was gripped firmly within her mouth. She blushed, he winked and that was the end of it. Big Mac adjusted his sight and firmly locked it on the new Stallion that entered Ponyville. Mogget gulped nervously and stared straight back at him. “Hey. Name’s Mogget.” He introduced himself. “Howdy Mogget,” Mac greeted back in his usual deep and casual southern accent. “Big Macintosh, nice to meet you.” Mogget bowed. “Honours all mine.” Big Mac, with kite in his mouth gave a very dull expression as he left with a farewell wave. The stallion galloped off and Mogget couldn’t help but smile. Both Pegasi continued onward, and saw at last their destination. Fluttershy gasped inward. “And this,” she pointed out. “Is Sugar Cube Corner.” “Sucrose Block Avenue?” Fluttershy giggled, said: “I see what you did there. I’m sure your humour would be appreciated by Pinkie.” “Haha, maybe. Maybe.” Veering his head around, Mogget saw a frantic Carrot Top dashing about from one end of her stall to another, looking from top to bottom as if she’d misplaced something. He shot a confused look at Fluttershy who only shook her head. “She’s a clutz that one.” “Ah.” Entering Sugar Cube Corner, a warm welcoming, almost ambrosial scent wafted about, tickling and enticing Moggets’ nose fully and completely. He almost floated towards the counter where freshly baked goods before he was quickly shot down by zipping pink pony who crashed straight into the allured stallion. Crash! Pinkie quickly recovered, but the same couldn’t be said about her counterpart as Mogget lay in light pain. “Oof!” Mogget wheezed as he clenched his side, though Pinkie who stood with a blank stare quickly burst into laughter. “What. Was. So. Funny. About. That?!” The Pegasus cried in exasperated gasps. Pinkie giggled, snorted and chuckled at the giggle snort she just performed. She laughed to the point where her eyes began to water and roll back at the same time. “Oh silly! I wasn’t laughing at the fact- (Snort) bahaha! -That you fell or (Snicker) anything!” Getting up, Mogget groaned, said: “That doesn’t answer my question.” Pinkie hopped around him, swiped at the counter and slammed a warm freshly baked muffin into his mouth. “Maybe this will then!” The grey colt was startled at first, but when the flavoursome cake kicked his tongue with cinnamon and jam, he couldn’t resist. He chewed the morsel and savoured the sensation that trickled about his taste buds. Completely satisfied with the muffin, Mogget nodded ecstatically as he grasped Pinkie’s hoof and shook it in utter delight. “Mah namesh Mhogghet! Jish muffinsh DERISHESSH! MMM!!!” Well that was a poor attempt to intro- Pinkie collapsed to the floor in a fit of hilarity, soon followed by Mogget himself who couldn’t bear the sheer rhapsody that overflowed from his body. The cotton candy mare, who was gasping for breath in between the bursts of laughter tried to impersonate the grey stallions introduction. “MAH NAYM ISH (Hahaha!) MHO-Teeheehee-OGHHETT! Hehe-hah!(Gasp! Snort!)” Nearly passing out, Pinkie surrendered to her inability to mimic, catching her breath she returned to her feet and gave Mogget a helping hoof. The laughter died down and Fluttershy found her chance to step in and introduce her new friend appropriately. “This here is Mogget, my new-” “Coltfriend!” Pinkie cheekily interjected. Flabbergasted, Fluttershy merely gasped and shied beneath her silky pink mane. “umm.. no, well… no, he’s not…" Inaudible squeaking. A slight flush of pink streaked across Shys’ face. No surprise to anyone who knew her well; as she was quite prone to relationship teasing. “Oh Fluttershy, just remember that I’m not as bad as Dash, she’d never let you see the end of it!” Grinning, she bounced around the colt and introduced herself. “I’m Pinkie Pie, I’m so happy to meet you, who are you? I mean, I know nearly everypony in town! And I mean EVERYPONY!” “I’m Mogget! And thanks for the muffin, it was fantastic!” “No problem! It’s just experimentation, throwing nice ingredients in together.” “Fascinating! I tried a cooking experiment with my friends once!” “Oh yeah? How’d that go?” Pinkie asked curiously. “Well, let’s just say that one of my friends knows nothing about spice balance! PAPRIKA!” “Haha! Maybe I’ll give him a cooking lesson!” “Me too right?” The words practically begged for them. “Sure, after an indefinite period of unexplained and unmentioned time, you’ll soon be cooking everything!” “Well that sounds reassuring!” Mogget piped in a (Surprise surprise.) non-sarcastic manner. “So, anyway; Fluttershy, I see you’ve met a rather nice stallion, hint hint, nudge nudge!” Pinkie giggled. Fluttershy swatted away the fuschia mare as she continued to blush. “Yeah, well you see, he just popped up out of nowhere.” “Like ‘POOF’ out of nowhere?” “Something like that, yeah…” Fluttershy began to mumble. The thought scared her a little, it was quite clear on her face. “Where’d he come from? Where’d you come from?!” “Maybe I’ll tell ya, if you…” Rolling his eyes, he gently nudged the barrel next to him. Pinkie struck a frown. “Ask first.” Sighing, Mogget politely asked: “May I please have a cider?” “Much better, and yes; you may.” Pinkie unscrewed the top of the barrel and stuck one end of a hose in the barrel, and the other in Moggets mouth. “There you go, drink to your delight.” She expects me to use this hose as a drinking straw?! SWEET! He slowly sipped away at the golden enrichment known as cider. The bubbly contents were beyond his imagination, not his wildest imagination but still, beyond some nonetheless. “Sho,” he began with the ingenue straw still in his mouth, speaking through lightly clenched teeth. “I’m from Pegasopolis, a Pegasus based town that ironically isn’t in the sky.” “Oh?, you’re being rather blank there Mogget, holding something back?” “No, It’s just that talking about my past is a little discomforting.” Third grade black belt technique: Emotional Disarray. “It’s just that I don’t feel compelled to tell you anything that reminds me of my past, mainly because I miss my friends.” “Your friends, who were they? If you don’t mind me asking.” “No, it’s fine. Talking about my friends is a lot easier for me.” Mogget grinned, his mind wandering off to the universe he once dwelled in. “Well, before I left to travel about, I had several friends. One of them was called Likmhin.” The name rolled off his tongue in a natural manner. “He’s a real great guy when you get to know him-(“Is he the one who can’t balance spice?”) haha, no he isn’t. He’s more our go to guy when it comes to video games. He’s a blonde-ish Pegasus and used to attend the same Equine school as me. Till I left of course.” Mogget released the make do straw from his mouth and leant in on the bench which bluntly stabbed into his wing. Didn’t bother him too much though. “Wow, he sounds fascinating, although I was never really a huge fan of video games.” Fluttershy said. “Well, all my friends pretty much like them. Anyway, another of my friends is called Woohoohoo II.” “He’s the-” Fluttershy was unable to finish her sentence, so Pinkie stood in. “-the second?” “Yes, that’s right. He’s like our master chef. He knows a thing or two about spices. What goes well in broths. He also has an amazing sense of humour. He’s blunt, but I guess that’s what makes him an amusing character.” “So, he can cook can he?” “A little, once a week apparently. It’s quite interesting. He also gave himself an interesting nickname, says he’s referencing something I’m not sure of; ‘The Rock’ if I remember correctly.” “The Rock? That’s a little strange.” Fluttershy nodded in agreement. “Yep, there’s a few more as well. Friends that is, not nicknames.” “Oh, is that right?” Pinkie leaned in, waiting eagerly for the announcement of a new friend when suddenly the door creaked open. Mr. And Mrs. Cake burst in, a red flush crossing both their faces. The tall gold stallion sneered at Mogget, asked: “Who in the hoof are you?!” Mrs. Cake then cut in. “Well, not I really care for a name.” She giggled suggestively. “Wait, you’re not-” Pinkie nodded. “He’s mine, so back off!” The mare grabbed Mogget and Fluttershy and dragged them out of the bakery. Once the coast was clear, Pinkie whispered to the two of them: “I’m so sorry, I think Mr. And Mrs. Cake have been to the ‘Flim Flam Meadery’ and have… Well, taken a few too many?” Mogget was almost paralysed, having seen the disturbingly intoxicated Mr. Cake disrupt the peaceful atmosphere. “Uh, is that normal?” “Yeah, it is.” Pinkie answered glumly. “Something happened awhile ago that triggered this drinking habit. It’s quite sad really.” “Oh poor Pinkie, I hope you don’t get caught up in th-” “It’s a matter I’d rather not talk about.” Pinkie’s tone became edgy. She turned away, too ashamed to talk. “You guys better go off now, I’ve got some things to sort out.” Hurrying back in, the mare left without another word. Mogget felt somewhat depressed to see Pinkie have such a irksome domestic problem. The whole idea of such a thing existing in this universe was a little unnerving. Flicking the mane from her eye, Fluttershy offered Mogget the chance to take a quick tour around Ponyville and get to know the locals instead. “Excuse me Fluttershy but, why weren’t any of your other friends there at Sugar Cube Corner?” Fluttershy quivered a little. “Well, you see… Not too long ago, Rarity and Twilight left Ponyville to approach their new careers. Twilight who has been given the title: ‘Sanctuary Mage of Canterlot’ and Rarity who is supposedly a local designer in Manehattan. According to her letters that is. Both of which are unicorns might I add.” Hovering in the air, Fluttershy flew towards a tree and reached into a hole where she pulled out a dull key. Then moving once more, she placed the key into a small brick wall which opened up a small secret deposit. Inside was a tin box. “Come over here, please.” Mogget approached and as he arrived, the mare revealed to him a photo. There were six ponies who he identified as the ‘Mane 6’ and Spike who lay right down at the bottom. They were all inside Twilight’s house at the time. “This,” Fluttershy began. “is a photo of me my friends. You’ve already met Pinkie here.” She pointed to the mare with a pink cloud for a set of hair. “The two unicorns I had previously mentioned are here.” She points at Twilight. “That’s Twilight and here, this is Rarity.” She then points to the beautiful white mare with a lavender mane. Moving her hoof to another pony, she points at a familiar orange earth pony. “This here is Applejack, she’s a local farmer here in Ponyville and she is dedicated to supplying this town with the apples sourced from her very own orchard: ‘Sweet Apple Acres’.” “Does she also make cider here in Ponyville?” “Yes actually, she does. She also had a crush on Pinkie.” “Really?!” Mogget veered back in shock. “Yep, though that has started to die down. Nothing went very well after the incident.” “Incident?” “Never mind, it’s honestly not worth it. Anyway, this here is Rainbow Dash, my favourite flier in all of Equestria. She’s everything I’m not. She’s brave and assertive as well as sociable. I admire that. She’s been the closest friend of mine since Cloudsdale. But when I came down here to live in Ponyville, I think Rarity took Dash’s place as closest friend.” “You mean the fine looking one with the amazing mane?” The cider began to kick in, the words slipping from his mouth like water from a jug. “Oh? Well, yes, I guess if you want to put it that way.” Fluttershy clearly saw the alcohol taking its effect. The alcohol was hitting him hard, as she witnessed the young colt gawking at every passing mare with hungry eyes. “Okay Sir. Cider, it’s time to go on home now,” “Bwahuh?!” Mogget blurted. “I’ve nowhere to stay!” Fluttershy thought for a bit, then said: “Then you’re welcome to stay at my house for a bit.” Mogget was unable to express the overwhelming joy that suddenly brewed up inside him. Maybe it was because of the half a keg of cider he managed to down. “Thank you.”

Wait, did I just say hoof? Opening his eyes, the night blue Pegasus found out he had become an equine. His mind stirred, but when his eyes stopped spinning and his vision cleared up; Woohoohoo came to realise just where he was. It came naturally of course. Although there was something odd beneath him, it moved and squirmed, and as he looked down, he appeared to be lying on top of a lavender unicorn. “Oh my Celestia, I’m so sorry!” The Pegasus leapt up, freeing the flustered unicorn from his weight. (That’s not a fat joke!) “Wait, what the buck?! How did I get here?!” “That’s what I’d like to know!” The mare cried out in frustration. “All the doors were locked and I was silently reading a fantastic book about Princess Celestia until you barged in! Well, not just barged in,-” She scoffed. “But you also tackled me out of the Celestia forsaken window about one hundred stories up in the air!” Woohoo couldn’t help it, Twilight just trotted straight into it. “You mad?” “Celestia give me strength!” Twilight shook her head. “You’re so lucky I saved both our flanks just then with a teleportation spell! “You seem a little malcontent there miss-?” “Call me by my respective title: ‘Sanctuary Mage of Canterlot’.” “How about: no.” “Excuse me?” “Did you really not hear me? I said no!” “I’ll summon the guards to arrest you.” Woohoohoo pulled out a magazine from under his wing. “Do that and I’ll show everypony in this city the princess’ ‘Sanctuary’ that you as the ‘Mage of Canterlot’ had been gawking at during your spare time.” “Touche.” “Indeed, and that secret lies on me now. I could probably black mail you to my heart’s content, if I would be ever so pleased to do so.” A devilish grin stormed up, but it quickly vanished when Twilight’s horn lit up. “No, you won’t.” A flash of light threw Woohoohoo into a state of confusion once more. Staggering, he managed to get a hold of himself, and never before had he seen such an ethereal creature. Twilight sparkle became the most brilliant thing he’d ever seen. “A little spell I invented not too long ago and you were very my first subject.” She proudly strutted back and forth. “The spell has a long term effect which I’ll have to render a bit. You’ll suffer a little from perversity, that’s my fault. Though, at least I can bend your will.” She looked dead serious when she turned around, then said: “I’d like you to do a favour for me. Bring me a mare named ‘The Great and Powerful Trixie’ as she has something I want dearly.” Woohoohoo, who was rendered susceptible to suggestion and command, obeyed Twilight’s order and set out to find: ‘The Great and Powerful Trixie.’ - I watch the stallion leave and realize that it was probably very wrong of me to cast a spell like that on him. It struck me with remorse, and the more I thought about it, the worse I felt, but my mind conflicted against itself. It warred on the inside and I could do nothing but aid the resolve. I chose the side which left the stallion alone. I’d free him from the spell as soon as he gives me what’s rightfully mine. Go, and at the price of your freedom you’ll give up another. If you knew that, would you still be so willing? Yes, my spell can render you unable to disobey, but only if you have no reason to do so; only if you’re given a reason to object. I suddenly become mysteriously shaded, and as I look up I find an object descending from the sky with grace and power. “Princess Celestia.” “Greetings young Twilight, how are we today?” Damn, she has one amazing body. Are you talking about me Twilight? Well, there’s nopo- Hmm? You’re-… Yes, I am. I’m not too proud, but I won’t object. That’s because you already know, don’t you? Of course I do. Princess Celestia twirled around, flaunting all her bits and pieces. Don’t you wish you could just take a bite of this? Tease! But Twilight, that’s all the fun! And with that, she flew off. Soaring away into the sky she set out to her castle where she’d resume her royal duties as the hottest princess ever. Haha, pun! - Rushing down the main streets, Woohoohoo galloped around the city of Canterlot but every now and again, would slip the occasional glance at a passing mare or two. Their response was more than flattering, an occasional blush and sometimes even a titter. A wide grin on his face soon became flustered as he soon reached his limit and galloping was no longer an option. “Darn it! I wish I could just fly to Trixie’s, it’d make life so much-…” He paused, looked at the marvelous set of wings he had and rolled his eyes. “Er mer gerd, Erh herf whingz!” By instinct, he took off and soared about the air, hovering just above the street lights. Scanning the area, Woohoohoo flew briskly through the sky, enjoying the wind passing through his wings as he searched tirelessly for Trixie. I just realized this but, where is Trixie? Ceasing mid flight, he slowly descended to the ground, landing next to a small shop. “Meh, I’ll ask around.” Trotting into the white marble, tile paved antique store; Woohoohoo found by chance a familiar pony. Derpy, it can’t possibly be her. But in fact, it was. The lemon mane, ditto coloured eyes and light grey Pegasus, teetered back and forth holding very delicate ornaments. Her misaligned eyes seemed to reach out to him as they cried in desperation. Without reluctance, he aided the mare by firmly gripping her by the waist, steadying the balance. “A Pegasus shouldn’t really try to walk like that.” He said, a fair tone of warning clearly stating his worry. I don’t think the store manager would like those broken, would you?” “No, I guess you’re right.” The ditzy mare said, appreciation felt as she smiled weakly. “Well, I’ll be off. Thanks for the help.” Putting the loose odds and ends into her satchel, Derpy hovered upward and flew slowly out the door, being visible through the window for a matter of seconds before disappearing. She seems quite nice, somepony I could probably get along with. Maybe I’ll meet her again. The thought wandered through his mind before he returned his consciousness to the real world. Trotting up to the counter, the young stallion leant up against the counter and asked the tender whether or not he had seen or heard of Trixie. The answer was ‘no.’ but what the tender spoke, and what his body expressed were two different things. Woohoohoo had the feeling that Trixie was one who wasn’t to be mentioned around the area. Going back on things, he remembered the disdain everypony held towards her. “Why would you ask for Trixie anyway?” “I’ve an important message for her, a summons from ‘The Sanctuary Mage of Canterlot: Twilight Sparkle.’” “A summons? Now that’s strange, but I can’t judge. Sorry I can’t help you, yes I’ve heard of her, but I’ve never seen her. Not here anyway.” The older colt said his farewells as Woohoohoo turned away and left. Whilst trying out a recipe for cupcakes, Fluttershy idly stood by, watching one catastrophe unfurl after another. Each time more frightening than the last and such happened to the point where she’d suffer from a heart attack. Just as Mogget was about to stumble and spill the batter onto the ground, Fluttershy intervened, pulling out in front of him and catching the colt. “Slow down there Buccaneer, things will go a little more smoothly if you just calm down a little.” Lifting Mogget back to his feet, she kindly took the bowl of cupcake batter from him and asked politely for him to tidy up. Mogget seemed resilient at first, but when met by a scowl of disapproval he quickly did as he was told. “If it’s okay with you, I’d like you to start washing up the dishes first, make sure everything is nice and tidy for our guest.” Shivering with anticipation, Mogget quickly rose up and hurried along to stack the dishes into a neat pile. Well, as neat as dishes get anyway. Focusing at the task at hand, Mogget began pouring the water into the sink, then added the dishes in whilst the water reached an appropriate temperature. The small stream of water flowed into the sink, gushing and gurgling as the small air pockets were submerged beneath the rising water levels. I wonder who’s coming over. He thought, placing a hoof to his head. “You’ll find out soon enough,” Fluttershy smiled as she quietly closed the oven. “Just wait your patience.” Trotting up to Mogget the mare pulled out a dish cloth from beneath her wing. Pegasi really had a talent for hiding objects beneath their wings; it was amazing. “Now, I’d like you to start this work, if you do; maybe I’ll treat ya a little something from in town.” Straight to it Mogget went; full steam ahead with his work making sure every dish was spotless to the point of a pin. Not moments into the job did Mogget spend before the allure of cupcakes touch his senses and for the good of pony kind he had to resist. Maybe Fluttershy will get me some cider. I really hope so. He continued to splash and splosh about, making a rather decent mess as he got carried away by his imagination. Well, that was until an abrupt [b'HURUMPH!' interrupted his train of thought. “Back to work you silly pony.” Fluttershy frowned. For once she actually had someone to boss around and it felt marvellous. Maybe I should be assertive more often. Changing her facial expression to one of delight, Fluttershy turned around to see her living room in adequate shape. Only a few hours ago did she have Mogget help her clean the animal houses. If only Dash were a little more… Labourious? Quietly humming to herself, the yellow mare peered back over her shoulder and wondered just how long things would take to unfurl. “Oh and please check on those cupcakes, they’ve been in for about 10 minutes now and should nearly be ready.” “Sure thing, just when I’m done.” Mogget called back. “That’s okay.” The stallion racketed onward, the dishes still clattering together as he washed the plates. Mogget flicked the gruff of his mane off of his face, swerving his head in a small but quick glance motion. His eyes grew calm in the water, the white softness of the bubbles bringing back true memories of his past. How long had he been gone for? How long had it been since earth last saw him, when reality still existed and the laws of physics, time and space were all applicable? Sometime at least. Bringing his head out of the clouds, Mogget scrubbed down the last plate and placed it gently on the bench, quickly drying his hooves before checking the cupcakes as ordered. “Humm… They still need a bit more time according to general visualization.” “Why good afternoon Fluttershy darling,” A merry voice greeted “It’s been so long.” “Oh, so wonderful to see you again Rarity, it’s an honour.” “The honour is all mine Fluttershy, you’ve ever so humbly welcomed me into your abode, the least I could do is pay a little respect to my friend.” “Well that’s so generous of you, please come in.” “Of course! I say, something here smells absolutely divine!” Mogget peeks around the corner from behind the kitchen wall to spot a lustrous white pony whose mane radiated an amethyst glow. The unicorn picks out a seat and lies down with an exasperated sigh. Watching from a short distance, Mogget concealed himself behind the walls. Rarity is our guest? “Well you see, there’s a batch of cupcakes in the oven-“ “Wait, did you say, cupcakes?! Shouldn’t you be minding those, I mean; you always keep an eye on your food while it’s cooking.” Rarity seemed a little confounded by Fluttershy’s rash actions. “To be honest I don’t need to anymore, I’ve got somepony else to do that job for me.” Intrigued, Rarity leant in close. “Oh do tell!” “His-” Rarity gasped. “His? You mean you have a stallion in your house? Like a-” Fluttershy crossed her forehooves and pouted, though the expressions were shaded by a light flush of pink. “No, Mogget is not my coltfriend!” She groaned. Rarity tittered behind a hoof. “Very well then, what would you call him?” “Mogget’s just a friend!” Fluttershy said defensively, her pout still clearly expressed. “Now now-” “Enough!” Rarity rose her hooves in a ‘I surrender’ motion. “Okay okay, sheesh darling, you honestly need to calm down a little.” “Don’t you have more pressing matters?” A slight tone of aggravation slipped into her last words. “Indeed I do, but first I’d like to meet this ‘Mogget’ if you don’t mind.” - You open up the oven and carefully pull out the tray of cupcakes which resonates heat to a degree where you can barely touch them. When you place the tray down on the bench, you suddenly hear your words of summon. Turning to the entrance you trot on over to the source of the voice to find both young mares staring at you. Fluttershy keeps herself tucked beneath her veil of a mane while the other looks at you with adoring eyes. You watch the white mare rise gracefully to her feet. “I guess I’ll take the courtesy of handling my own introduction, then? My name is Rarity, it’s a pleasure to be acquainted with you and might I add you look absolutely dashing.” Extending her hoof, she kindly greets you. “Thanks,” You accept the hoof. “I’m Mogget, nice to meet you too.” “Oh my, you’ve certainly the shake of a gentle colt.” She says with a delicate timbre of a voice. With the introductions out of the way, Rarity moves back to her seat and you go to take one of your own when Fluttershy asks for the cupcakes. You grunt and quickly move into the kitchen where the warm apple sized puddings silently lay, waiting to be eaten. One by one, you pluck them from the tray onto dump them onto a plate. You take a quick count and add up 18. With the high number lingering in your head, you take one and devour it before returning to the mares waiting in the lounge. “They’re delicious!” You say out loud. “You’re delicious!” Rarity flirts, batting a hoof in your direction. Fluttershy shakes her head and you simply smile. - Unaware of Fluttershy’s thoughts on the matter, Rarity quickly spurted a question which left both ponies wide eyed. “Mogget, would you be a doll and model a few get-ups for me? I need to get accurate measurements on the attire before I set them on display.” Fluttershy decried. “I do NOT think that would be necessary!” “Why would you object to that Fluttershy? You know you want him to. I can see it in your eyes.” The intonations of enticement and that of a mischievous snicker were carefully placed in. “Look, do you want to be my third in the competition or not?” Mogget, torn between both mares now payed full attention at the mentioning of a competition. “What’s this competition about?” He says with his head tilted. “In about 6 months time, we’ll be entering a bake off competition.” Rarity started. Filling in, Fluttershy then said: “The bake off will be the opening ceremony before the annual ‘Zap Apple’ harvest.” “Wait,” Mogget held a hoof to his chin. “So, you’re planning an entry 6 months prior to the actual competition, why?” Rarity opened her mouth ready to speak but found herself lost for words. That’s when Fluttershy stepped in. “It’s not just that, in 3 days Rarity will be holding a featuring some of her pieces in the ‘Equestrian’s Exquisite Fashion Show’ which is here for a few days time.” “That’s why I’m visiting now, I must simply get these Stallion garbs out of the way and line them up, but-” “But I will not let Rarity take you as a model.” “Don’t I get a say in this?” Mogget asked. Rarity beamed with hope while Fluttershy, embarrassed, said: “Would you like to be a model for Rarity?” “Well…” Mogget pondered, humming and hahing over the thought. “That’s a no, (“but-”) alright Rarity, (“he didn’t-”) nice seeing you; goodbye!” Fluttershy opened the door and forced an objecting Rarity out of the house. The unicorn reached out in one last desperate attempt to grab Mogget but to no avail as Fluttershy flank bumped Rarity out the door, causing the mare to go airborne before face planting the dirt. The yellow mare batted a hoof in farewell as she watched her best friend angrily head off to town. “Don’t worry about her, she’ll get over it.”
