//-------------------------------------------------------// Unwanted -by Obigity- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 1 //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 1 (Royal Containment Center) Located - In the ground levels of the Royal Palace 10 Days before events of NM White polished hooves trended down the equally sparkly white marble floor, clicking against the ground with great purpose as she rounded a corner passing by pony's wearing white lab coats that stood off to the side giving her room, bowing respectively as she past. Celestia gave them all a courtesy smile that dimmed as she came near her destination. She reached a point where a checkpoint was set up with one security gate that extended to the walls with a red siren centered overhead the main gate. On Celestia's left side next to the guarded gate was a 10 foot wide glass window that stretched out to both sides of the gates, dividing it perfectly giving the pony behind it an eagles eye of the hallway. A unicorn mare wearing a security uniform sat behind a main console desk with lights that flashed on the motherboard periodically, she nodded her head to the Princess as she wordlessly pressed the button to the main gates allowing her to pass the checkpoint. Celestia gave her appreciation to the mare as she pushed through the gate as a magic detectors installed in the gates mainframe whirred to life scanning her over, checking to find any abnormalities. It beeped in the clear as she fully entered the other side which she hardly heard as she continued down her path. The walls became more narrower as she trotted towards a one-way corridor bypassing doors on both sides with nothing but numbers marking their exterior. As she passed she could see shadows moving underneath the door as the individuals behind them tried peaking at who was passing by their rooms. Near one of the doors a pink mare wearing lab coat was outside taking notes as she scribbled on the parchment in deep concentration mumbling under her breath as her horn worked it's way onto the pages as she mumbled under her breath, "...Has been less aggressive...Magic bursts have not been reported...Music of Harm-" "Doctor Light." Celestia gently interrupted her, blinking in surprise the pink mare turned around to face the alicorn, "Oh Princess!" She bowed respectfully, "I've been expecting you." She adjusted her glasses while her clipboard hovered out in front of her which Celestia took immediately, "How's he been doing lately?" She asked as she skimmed over the pages of what looked like to be doctors notes as well as Light's own inputs on the corners of the pages, the chicken scratches made it hard to decipher but she managed , "We went to get a fully checkup this year and nothing seems to be out of the ordinary with some year round bean and dental cleaning," She smiled with joy as she explained, "he's been well-behaved when we took off his Ring Prohibitor for his annual horn cleaning and sharpening." Celestia immediately looked up from the board with a frown, "Why didn't you warn myself beforehoof you were going to remove his Prohibitor?" Doctor Light smiled cracked as she saw her not sharing the excitement, "W-well as you may have read in my notes that during this last year he showed signs of improvement over his psychosis and it may be the right time to take the next step. This was to be the first sign of trust of me giving him free range, I had guards posted inside surveilling him as the physician cleaned him off." Celestia gazed at Light intensely that made the mare feel like she was under scrutiny, "Is he without his Prohibitor now?" She asked quietly. "No Princess." Doctor Light shook her slightly sweaty head, "We put it back on after the cleanup and without complaint. He's been more passive than usual with the restraints and the extra security measures placed on him." Celestia kept quiet as she processed this new information, "I will be expecting a full report later on tonight and a full record of his ongoing therapy sessions before any decision can be made." The advisor nodded her head, "Of course, your highness." Now the important stuff was out of the way, "Did he start to write anything new?" The pink mare looked off to the side hiding her face from the curious monarch, "About that." She turned to looked down at her majesty's golden shoes with a face red from...embarrassment? "He's been getting more into erotica these past few days and some of them are...Not the kind romance novels you would write about for study group." It was Celestia's turn to blink in surprise at this current turnabout. "Oh." She tried thinking about something to say but came up blank. "..How well is it?" She asked more out of curiosity than passion. The Doctor's entire face lit up like a Hearts Warming Tree as she spoke softly under her breath loud enough for her to hear. "Extremely appeasing." The air around them became more awkward than her last checkup with her dietician. She audibly cleared her throat, "Wonderfully then, I will be going if there is anything else you needed to tell me?" She asked hurriedly to get away from that topic. The doctor adjusted her glasses again as the heat from her face faded, "Not worth mentioning but another guard he requested to join him in the studio." Celestia hummed interest, "Who may I ask is it?" "A stallion named...Red Twister I believe?" She eyes lit up in recognition, "Ah, the Pegasi who keeps staring at my flanks when he thinks I'm not looking?" Doctor Light made another face before adding in quietly, "Yes that one." "Hmm interesting." She said stilly while she trotted away from the once again blushing doctor. She arrive on the last door on the left with a heavy breath she cast her magic on the knob-less door. The door clunked and clicked as parts inside unlocked from her touch and with barely a sound it swung open into darkness. The feeling in her chest tightened as she plunged herself into the dark room. With barely any visibility she trotted in looking around with difficultly until she used her horn to light up the depressing room that was nearly as big as her bedroom without any furniture. As her light hit the walls it revealed layers of paper that covered the room all the way to the ceiling, hundreds of articles mashed together overlapping each other with the occasional red markings like a tidal wave of paper art. She remembered when it start with just one, then in a week it became ten, then a month a hundred and so on before she knew it, it became more similar to a conspiracy theorists cavern. Or more accurately like a beautiful mind just like in a book she read around a year ago... Small etching noises came from the far corner of the room. There in the adjacent walls a small light lit the silhouette of a rather large figure with fur as black as midnight almost identically to her... She cleared her head as she trotted closer to the pony. The large pony gave no response or reaction as she came closer either too induced in their work or flat out ignoring her presence which could be the case. "Hello there, Luci." The scribbling didn't stop as they continued to ignore her. "I heard you've been pursing...lighter novels as of late. That's good to hear." Nothing else was said as the dark pony kept his head low as his horn barely glowed as it lit barely enough light for him to see what he was writing. The table he was writing on extended halfway across the room per his request to allow his work to be spread out. Neatly in piles stacks of paper donned the workbench ranging from all sizes. "You have been behaving excellently these past few weeks so I decided to grant you an outside visit to the Royal Gardens. Would you like that?" The pony's head hung low in defeat as they kept on ignoring her existence like she was nothing more than white noise. She wouldn't be able to get an answer out of him, nothing she said ever did. It wasn't without reasons out of their control. For once she cut all the small talk, "I won't be able to see you for a while," She said slowly as she gazed around her surroundings from the papers donning the walls that covered up everything including the small window that hasn't seen the light of day in years to the flat board that was used as his work desk which it was originally suppose to be his clothes rack. She glanced over the other side of the room spotting his bed that was nothing more than a rollup bed that laid flatly to the ground enough for it to not even be considered a bed at all but a sleeping bag. Metal wasn't allowed in the room when he found...creative ways for it to be used. The quill scrawled more as the pony kept on writing, her thoughts on how long he must've sat there crossed her mind and how much longer would the quill be of use before it snapped from overworking the poor feather. It didn't bother him, he had them in bulk at this point in all shapes and sizes which was to be given to him by Doctor Light when one broke. At first it worried her when he was given something sharp but after a while it seemed her fears were to be unfounded when he didn't nothing more than use them for writing material. Holding down her nervousness she approached the sitting stallion with an appropriate distance between them not not be intrusive while boarding on hovering and a friendly gap. She looked to her left then to her right biting her lower lip trying to decide her next course of action. "I have business will last a few weeks from, maybe a month. There's something I have to do that's going to effect a lot of ponies lives and it will be dangerous for me. I cannot give you the fully details but what I can give you is my word that when this is all over I will be doing all in my power to help you from these circumstances." She stopped to hold down her rising fear, "I-if I do not return after, Light will be in charge of your wellbeing until there's been established order." For a split second a ruby eye made slight contact with hers and like that she blinked first. "W-well then I'll be going." She quickly backed up to leave before she stopped. She resumed her way out before stopping again. This went on for a while like she was a broken record struggling to get back on track but something was holding her back and finally as she was touching the door she turned around with a indescribable expression, "I-" She began, before thinking about her response and with great shame she looked down at her hooves and said in a quiet voice, "Goodnight, Lucifer." And with that she quickly exited the room with the doors closing behind her as they mechanical locks tuned into place sealing it once more plunged the room into darkness. Releasing a sigh the pony cracked his neck working out the kinks as his horn let down the floating quill as his back flexed his wings with restlessness, then he proceeded to go back into writing. Author's Note I'm not any good with openings, so I'm jumping right into it. (P.S.) I'm making edits as I go, so if you spot any please do so. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 2 //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 2 15 years ago Canterlot, the Capital of Equestria. Home of the ruling Monarch, Princess of the sun (Market Place) "Go Away!" A colt yelled angrily at two Royal Guards in a high pitch voice who followed at a distance like creepers. "Sir, the Princess ordered us to be your bodyguards we can't leave our post-" "I don't care! Leave!" "-Sir, we're here for your protection." One of the two bumbling Royal Guards tried reasoning with the eight year old, chasing after the young Alicorn as they desperately tried to explain to him as the pony's around them gave them wide eye stares while also giving them a wide berth. "I don't need protection! I need space! Not with anypony who hovers in my shadow!" He yelled behind him as he stormed through the loaded market exchange filled with pony's looking for fresh food from outside the city. Today marked the third day of Summer Sun Celebration, everything was settling down after the three days of family fun and games. Most of the parades and shows were wrapped up and visitors were starting to leave the city but most stayed behind to see the Princess give her speeches and nominations for the past years best Mare and Stallion. Although the recent increase from tourism the previous year had nothing to do with it being the first Sun Celebration of the new century but of the recently addition to the Royal Family. Ever since Celestia's first inauguration when she became Princess of Equestria, she has always been the sole pony in history to ever have ascended Alicornhood and it has been that way for the last centuries until a decade age where she found another of her kind who lived outside of Equestria living in a peaceful village. Accepting her offer the two have been living together in her castle as the prink princess known as Mi Amore Cadenza learned to hone her new gifts. For the last few years that's how life's been with the new transitions Princess Cadenza has faced with the years with fist learning how to fly and write. After completing her basic training she was ready to learn where her real talents, what she was chosen for. It was around that time when she was learning the love between pony's she wound up in an familiar astral plane with Celestia not far from her, it was a bit burly for her since it was her second experience but she could remember was a white blob (not Celestia) standing next to somepony? It all happened to fast for her to catch and when she awoke she was in her bed after having fainted in mid-spell. When she awoke she was shocked to learn from the maids that she had been asleep for nearly four days, Celestia had been busy conducting secret investigations and had left a few hours with little explanations. It didn't take long for her to return and she wasn't alone, a small dark colt accompanied her with wings on his back and a horn on his head. Another Alicorn had been born, news spread like fire just the same it had for her but with more vigor. Some say that it was a sign from Faust, others believe more will follow if there where two of them in the past decade alone although they say that he will lead them. For he was the first male to become one of the most powerful creatures on the planet, and his name was Lucifer Morningstar. As business boomed around them, the new Prince narrowed his eyes forward as the unicorn and earth pony behind him tried to keep up with his pace. "Your Highness," The unicorn slowed down as he took position behind him, "We really shouldn't be walking out in the open like this, unsavory actions can happen with these many pony's around us during these times! It would be best if we return to the castl-" "You don't get to dictate my actions!" He hissed at him, "I'm not your bucking child," Their eyes widen from the foul language from the eight year old, "I told you to leave me be and you continue to harass me because you don't seem to take a hint. Here's another one you guys probably understand: Go take a hike!" Looking for assistance from his fellow soldier, the Earth pony nodded his head and in a daring move he trotted right in front of the small Alicorn with the unicorn following his example, "My liege, " He began with a hoof pressed to his chest in a determined fashion. 'Here we go.' "As Royal Guards it is our duty to support and defend the nation of Equestria. For the safety of all in Equestria we are to stay vigilant in our surroundings everyday, to ready ourselves to fight against our nations' enemies both foreign and domestic. And to fulfill her Highness's orders and those of similar titles without question. That said we are to always stand by your side acting as your sword and your shield, because we are the spearhead to your will." He spoke with conviction in his voice absolutely believing every word he said as did his partner who also nodded his head supportively. Both of them taking the oath they swore wouldn't fail to upkeep for those who come before and after them. He wasn't going to be dissuaded from some startup goody-four horse shoes. "If you say that, then by that definition it makes me a High-Ranking Officer with jurisdiction to pass judgment on others." Their bodies shook from surprise, mouths wide open from the abrupt knowledge the new Alicorn had threw at them, "Since it states that members of the Military are to respond and serve only those in command which are their Superior Officers or the Royal Family in this case which you so helpfully recited to 'Fulfill her Highness's orders and those of similar titles without question' so that makes me your boss." They felt panic sweat beat down their brow as they tried to formulate the words to combat or deny the scary intelligent colt words, but nothing had been said as the young colt kept on going, "Then as members of the guard you are hereby relieved of your duties, if you do not comply or fail to met requirement you will be subjected to be Court Martialed under Article 92 'Failure to obey a lawful order'." He finished off smugly as their bodies twitched from the overload of information, "And if it's coming form me, you better bet your flanks that more than one Article will be added to that list." That gave them pause as their eyes completely widened in disbelief and slight.. fear? 'Good' "Now be on your way-" "Don't listen to him." A voice interrupted him just as he was leaving. Gritting his teeth in anger, he looked up to see a familiar light green mare with an electric yellow mane came floating down from the sky with a black eyepatch over her left eye that didn't fully cover the jagged white scar, she landed lazily between the three with once eye gazing at the two stallions. "Princess Celestia was the one to give out the command to guard the young Prince with no exceptions or bending the rules and in no way are the two of you going to listen to what a 8 year old has to say over her." Both stallions rubbed their necks embarrassed from that little tidbit they forgot earlier but to be fair his words did catch them by surprise. Wing Blade's only eye looked sharply over to the bitter child, "And it's not Article 92, it's 131." The colt sneered in annoyance as he pasted them to continue his journey, "Nopony asked you." He trudged his way through the street looking around for... something Wing Blade thought as he looked over the buildings attentively scouting the skies for anomalies. "Where exactly do you think your going?" After they ventured deeper into the descript coming close to the end of the Food Market. "Far away from here, never returning from the Faust forsaken city." He admitted to his group who reaction carried from shock and confusion or in Wing Blade's case an eye roll at the over dramatic-ness, "Be realistic, Your Highness." She flew at his side gracefully, "There's no way somepony of your age and your status is going to leave the city without Celestia's approval." "Then I'm resending my title as Prince and am no longer any concern for the Royalty." "That's not for you to decide, as long as you remain an Alicorn with the attributes for all three tribes you can never be rid of your title, My Prince" She said condescendingly. "Then I resend my Equestrian citizenship and plan on getting deporting to Griffinstone for all I Goddessdamn care!" He gritted out as they pasted an apple stand and like before the green Pegasi got in his way again this time standing right in front of him using her wings to block his way. "Prince Lucifer, I don't know if you got the message but let me spell it loud and clear: You're not going anywhere." She glared daring him to pass. He stared at her then back to his entourage for a moment and just happen to see a passing stallion carrying a container of apples from his cart to an apple stand right next to them. Without thinking he quickly grabbing a red fruit from the stand with his magic "Hey!" He spotted two unicorn stallions heading in opposite directions and one so happened to be looking at a newspaper while eating a apple. Taking aim, he perfectly launched the fruit as hard as he could at the other pony who wore a top hat over his horn, even from this distance he heard the apple hit the back of his head with a solid splat. The now pissed off unicorn looked around frantically before spotting the ignorant pony almost finished with his snack. Eyes narrowed, he stormed up to the stallion ripping the newspaper out of the other pony's grasp and began ripping it apart in front of him. That's when the yelling began, the three guards and any who saw the exchange gaped at the colt as he smiled wickedly. "You better go break that up." He said coolly as the two pony starting pushing each other involving a neutral third party which only could escalate further when the pony eating the red apple threw his half finished one in the face of the other quickly turning into a street brawl. The two quickly acted leaving him alone with the mare, but this time he was prepared as he took yet another apple "Come on!" and tossed it straight at her head. She dodged the oncoming fruit skillfully from the telegraphed move, "What was that suppose to-" The apple hit the side of the parked cart where a log was keeping the cart held down, slamming the end into the ground which caused it to burst open with all the fruit rushing out overcoming the single guard in a delicious sea of red, "My Apples!" cried their harvester as he tried to save the remaining fruit from rolling away pitifully. Wing Blade's head popped up from the pile, violently trying to shake off the sweet sticky juices from her mane and wings unsuccessfully. It didn't take long for her to notice her ward was gone. Lucifer weaved through the crowds like a hoofball player. When obstacles came in his way he did his best to parkour over or around them while looking at the street signs for guidance. He dared to glance behind him to see an angry sticky mare running after him while also trying to dodge the pedestrians as apple juice dripping off her body. Her eye tracked his movements as she slowly closed the distance between them like a bird of prey. Determined to outmaneuver her, he quickly looked around and spotted a break between two buildings just head big enough for a regular sized pony to squeeze through, taking a chance he jumped inside the alleyway bumping into the walls like a pinball machine with his sudden sift in motion. The mare behind him roared as she turned the corner losing her footing from the sudden squeeze between the two buildings, "You can't keep running!" "Watch me!" He yelled as he made it to the other side that opened up to a single walkway behind the buildings. He blindly went left as the mare slowly squeezed her way out, her bulky amour doing her no good as it caught on the buildings scratching at the metal plating's. With his follower now falling far behind he did his best to zigzag to make it difficult for her to catch him. After rounding another corner he could see a crowd of pony's passing by the alley, he grinned in victory as jumped into the crowd scaring a few pony's and causing others to frown at his entrance which turned into stutters from his appearance when they saw the wings and horn, "My Prince-" "Your Highness" "What a glorious day it is to be in the presence of-" Tuning out the flank-kissers he looked above the buildings and saw a white puff of smoke that appeared to be moving. Finally within grasp he let himself rest for a moment, taking in a deep breath he continued onward. Half minute later, two blocks behind Wing Blade made it out of the tight passageway with dirt covering her like a hard days work. She was breathing so hard from all running the sweat she worked up it ran down her face mixing with the apple juice making her smell like rotten fruit let out to spoil. Her eyes locked onto the pony's around her who stared at her form while she tried to catch her breath, saying nothing one pointed a hoof at the disappearing colt that ran after the trail of smoke. Losing her breath once again she took a moment to look around and saw that she was in shopping district which clicked in her exhausted mind of where she was and better yet, where the little pain in the flank was going. Her eye lazily spotted two decorative water fountains next to a lavish looking dress store. Walking at a slow pace, she came up to the squirting water turning her head down at the reflective pool she was greeted by a very sweaty and a very very angry eyed mare looking back. Deciding to buck it, she jumped right on in. The apple juice dried up as she was chasing after the slippery little tyke but the water managed to get most of the softer parts off as she rolled on her back like a strange looking armored green swan while trying to rub the sticky substance off her wings by hoof as much as she could without tearing out a few feathers. She heard a mare behind her complain about how the fountain was not suppose to be used and frankly she didn't care, "Official business." She told the employee as she rubbed the juice out of her eye. After a few quick rubs she got out dripping wet and slightly colder, shaking off the excess water like a dog she flapped her wings to dry herself off and she sighed in relief as she slowly lifted off the ground. With a great flap of her wings she took into the air, she didn't try to cut him off when she realized exactly where she was, she already knew the direction he took and most importantly knew where he was going. So taking a small 'stroll' she flew gently to the train station. Author's Note This chapter was way longer than I anticipated, that's what happens when you write something small but go back and try to make it look bigger. Next chapter will need to be a bit more polished before I submit. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 3 //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 3 He never ran this fast before but it was all worth it as he stood outside the train station seeing the last off-coming passengers leave the cart happily with their families or friends. The ticket booth's line was empty, just the way he liked it. Controlling his breath he trotted over tilting his head up at the very high ticket box where the unicorn inside was neatly sorting golden tickets into piles in deep concentration. "Where's the next train heading?" Startled, the white unicorn's head shoot up only to see nothing. He looked left to right but still couldn't find anypony. Thinking somepony was pulling a fast one over him. "Down here." Leaning over the edge, he saw a black colt standing there with a flat look on his face. Before he could ask anything he looked closer and had to blink hard at the confusing sight of a horn and wings on a single colt before it dawned on him who he was looking at. It was always hilarious to see the faces of pony's go from confusion to sudden realization, now wasn't the time to be idle, he had places to go. "Where is the next train going?" He asked again this time more firmly. Taking a moment to compose himself the unicorn's brain finally rebooted, "Oh! Uh..Fillydelphia, Sir." He added the 'sir' quickly just to be safe. "Ok, I'll take a one-way please." "D-don't you have an adult with you, young Prince?" The unicorn asked hesitantly which he soon regretted from the plastic look on the young Prince's face that slowly turned into a sweetly smile, "I'm big enough to ride a train by myself. Unless you think there's a problem with that, do you?" He asked the ticket master in a low voice that danced between friendly and threatening. The unicorn quickly stamped a golden ticket and shakily handed them over the small intimidating Alicorn. "Th-that'll be ten bits, Sir!" He added this time more fearfully. He didn't look up from the ticket, giddy with joy, "Forward it to the Royal Treasury, my good stallion." "You h-have a wonderful evening, Your Highness!" Lucifer looked up long enough to give him a tense smile before moving on. He gave the ticket to the confused stallion outside without pausing like he wasn't worth the time. The empty compartments gave him plenty of options to pick for the best spot which would be a nightmare when other ponies begin to board. He was always the type closest to the door from all the times he's been alone so that he could always be the first one to get off. Too bad he didn't have any bits on him to buy any refreshments from the trolley, he didn't want to bully the poor steward into giving him snacks either so he decided he could hold off his hunger for the time being. Too bad, all that running he done his hunger was getting at him. But if he got that desperate he could always drink from the bathroom sink. As he was pondering over his choices he heard a throat being cleared from behind him. The first thing he noticed before he turned was the smell of burnt wood which was the first thing he forgot when he looked up and up at a very tall yellow earth pony standing over him wearing stained overalls with a striped black and white cap on top of his shortly cut orange mane. "Am ah's gone senile, or are ya's that new Alley-corn theys' keep talk about?" A very deep voice came from the mountain of a pony echoing a bit from him like a cave with an accent so thick it could break the language barrier (literally) as he stared down at the small foal, pawing one huge hoof at his head in confusion. Lucifer didn't stop the words tumbling out of his mouth, "Maybe you finally are, maybe I'm just a figment of your withered old imagination." He said bluntly as he rocked back and forth on his hooves like an impatient foal waiting in line. The old stallion let out a hearty 'gwuff' from the throat that shook the small colt even from a distance, "A lit' spitfire ya sure are'! Reminds me of wee lass, sharp tongue like whips the both of ya's!" He said merrily as thundered past him towards the caboose likely to do some inspections, he didn't brother him any further which was fine. Lucifer inspected around him still debating to find a more smaller compartment since if anypony were to board with him sitting out in the open without a disguise all they would do is just stare and gossip at him while he pretended that it didn't bother him. He mentally kicked himself for the short sightless for not getting a first class or renting out a cart to himself. 'Too late now.' Well, there was one other place he could lay low. "Where's the bathroom?" Glancing back the old train conductor gave him tilt of his head, "This way laddie." He chuckled under his breath like he just heard a funny joke, "Say ther' my fake friend! Ye's wouldn't mind compan' me to the rear?" Geeze and he thought he had trouble with words, this stallion accent was all over the place it made it hard to pinpoint where exactly. Just as he hoped they were going to the rear which the bathrooms were as the old stallion talked adamantly about...something, "-and so's we are to relie' on control of the foreign' tradin' overseas that wouldn't be commercializin' our buisness' for logistic's reasoning because you's took loans to start business and it becomes a legal tender jargon for those smucks way yonder! Who thinks they's kow' better than ya's!" Something was happening and it was the gears in his head beginning to strain from the massive flux of trying to understand this whirly tongued stallion. "Self-reliant is what this nation was built on but now's we can't even buy a dinnerware set without askin' for the proper silverwear for the tiny soup spoons for tea times!" Wait! When did they move onto spoons!?! "...and ah's say if we's keep livin' like so, terribl' things will happen unless we do somethin' about it!" He said finishing passionately as the 'please hold' Alicorn rebooted, he blinked rapidly as his mind failed decipher the twangs and slangs that came form the creatures mouth. "...Huh." Was all he would say. "Exactly me point!" He said happily that he understood, "Ah, we're here." The bathroom stood off to the side shut closed, just a little further ahead was the last door on the train that held the all the passages baggage. He could hear passengers board the train chatting with each other as they took to their seats. His hooves began tapping again more aggressively as he noticed the locked above the door handle read 'occupied' as the pony inside audibly washed their hooves. "Best wait for the fello' inside to finish his business." The old conductor told him as he opened the last door peeking inside, "Yoohoo!! No stowaways about?!" He yelled inside, "Can't have ya vagabonds taking over mah livelihood!" He joked making Lucifer crack a grin at the silliness of the old pony. Water shutting off was heard as the pony inside finished up, a white pegasi with a golden mane came out not even glancing at either of them as he passed by. Walking inside the bathroom he heard some mumbling from the old stallion that sounded like, "That was not open before-" 'Whoooooooooo!!!' A loud whistle distracted them as they felt the train shifting along the tracks. Lucifer felt the tensing in his chest lift as the locomotive pulled away from the station. "Bout' time we movin', sorry lad but duty calls." With a nod the conductor left, lazily closing the door but before it could click shut he telekinetically stopped it and as silent as a mouse the prince slipped behind him as he passed. In a swift but carefully movement he shut the door behind him, pressing his back against the door he let out a relived breath as he slide to the ground. A small genuine smile stretched across his face as he realized he was completely alone for the first time. It was a long time since he had this much space and now he was on the way out of that city without guards unaware of his location. He looked out the open widow seeing the sun setting behind the mountains surprising him how much time had passed. He could've stayed in the same spot until the ride was over but he didn't want to risk getting caught by some passing pony. So with great mental encouragement he got up from the ground and looked around. The cargo hold was smaller than he imagined, almost filled up but if he pushed around some luggage he could find the right spot for him to lie down his head- "Not going somewhere?" He didn't have a chance to yelp as teeth picked him off the ground by the scruff of his neck and out the open window. "LET ME GO!!" He thrashed around frantically trying his best to make Sergeant Wing Blade drop him as his last chance chugged away in the opposite direction. He craned his head around and saw with growing despair the train leaving him as they flew back to the station. His body stopped moving going numb seeing the hunk of metal disappear behind some hills, his lips trembled as his mind tried to cope with just how close he was to leaving. So close to getting away. 'I was right there-right there.' Wing Blade gilded back to the platform which was cleared of all creatures seeing as it was the last train for the day, dropping the colt before she touched ground. He didn't care as his body landed harshly still looking in the same direction with wide eyes. "I can't believe this, I've been through so many things before I met you." She began as the angry Guards mare faced away from the black prince seemingly walking away before turning around showing a twisted snare on her face, "But Never! Have I had to find the pony. I! was suppose to protect!" She enunciated with shouts like an angry mother scolding her foal. He didn't blink when he looked to the ground as he thought back to earlier. Something began to burn as the first tear fell to the ground, it wormed up its way to his hooves causing them to quake inadvertently or even purposely causing his shoulders to shudder. His teeth gnashed together grinding against each other painfully as a second tear ran its way down his fury cheek. His eyes narrowed into slits as the color of his eyes glowed ruby red like blood diamonds from the fire that worked its way up. The white noise clogged up his ears as he grew lightheaded from the lack of oxygen he wasn't getting from him holding in his breath. When he thought it was going to pass he heard something from the ranting pegasi that caused him to snap. "-Celestia will hear of this, if she hasn't already and this time you will be in so much trouble when we get back! I hope she tears your hide a new on-" "I said leave me Alone! You! Bucking! Stupid! CUCKOO BIRD!!!" He turned around barking at the winged pegasi with such volume veins were popping out his neck from exertion unknowingly causing his horn to spark black and purple electricity. Wing Blade took a step back, flinching from the violent outburst like she was physically struck. It shocked her from the level of hatred he spat towards her like she was in the wrong, the fire in his eyes pierced her like a sword running through her chest. Those same eyes that always seem to hate everything around them pointed at her for a moment caused her to freeze in place gluing her to the platform like some scared filly. A small tense gulp threatened to expose her fears until her subconscious told her to swallow that fear just like she taught herself to do in her overseas touring. She knew he was always angry but never this level. Even when they were first assigned to him that hate never died out from the early days hearing him yelling at them. But this, she had never seen before coming from him an 8 year old no less. It didn't show but she felt a small ball of worry gnaw at her stomach from all this....rage he held inside him. No colt his age should be this angry without a good reason, he should be doing dumb things with friends his age like any normal growing pony would do. Even if he's special that shouldn't make him exempt from the rules, but Celestia has her reasons and she wasn't in any position to ask why. Withholding her anger, she masked her face with a neural look as he slowed down his breathing with some techniques she's seen given to him by his councilor. She wasn't a veteran Royal Brat Babysitter (still pending for title) for nothing. "Name calling? What next, going to make fun of my eye?" She watched as his breathing turned into exhaustion but he still held on to his angry, "If you bring it up, I will." He seethed in quiet rage as he folded up his wing that popped open. Just then Mr. Chivalry and his groom rounded a corner making the Ticket Master's eyes lit up in alarm as they passed by knocking the papers he was still sorting out to the ground. "--Ha-haa-haha-w-we're-*gulp*-here!" He gasped as they both tried to catch their breath from all the running they've been doing. He didn't let them rest as he passed them by, "Some guards you are." Lucifer said snidely, Wing Blade hovering behind him. "Some Prince your turning out to be." She countered. "I guess we're both disappointed then." He looked at her damp fur, "Took a little bird bath on the job?" They both looked at each other at the same moment in silent understanding as they watched them head back there way to the castle, "Dude, I am not having any foals if they turn out like this." The earth pony said as they trudged along. "Me too Style's...me too." Author's Note Progress, such a fickle thing. This will get dark, like really dark. If you didn't see the updated tags then consider this one of the many warnings to come. !Omak! Something fishy going on, and it ain't me. "-that what I's been sayin' Steel Head! The Prince was here just as I'm stadin' right here with ya!" "Merry, you say many things some of them I can agree with since I've seen it with my own two eyes, but there is no way Royalty would ever board this train, like why would they? They got chariots, zeppelins, and stuff." "But that the thing Steely like Ah ben' sayin'! If we become dependent those things then we would mindlessly consume their goods none to wear about the consequences!" "-not this again-" "-Our nation as a whole will be indebted to those warmongers because of their disgraceful labor laws and poor pay! They'll become our new lords in a few years!" "National Debt? Now that's just crazy talk." P.P.S.(I'd like to do these from time to time, not to be taken seriously)
