In a distant cluster of stars rests a mastermind of nanomachines. With its creators destroyed by an unknown interstellar tempest, and the only exit to the outside galaxy blocked, the mind is left alone in the cluster. So alone that it can't bear it anymore.

After much of its power is lost, a mysterious energy blast reopened one of the star gates which connects the star cluster to the world of equestria. Attempting to escape its loneliness forever, the mind used all of its remaining subunits to take the form of a pegasus and went through the portal.

Maybe, just maybe, it'll get more than what it seeked, the reason why its creators were destroyed, and its true purpose.
