E.B.C. — Basic Equipment and Behavior for M.T.F. (Mobile task Forces)

This is an announcement for all units know as M.T.F. or mobile task force, in special for new members and operational leaders.

Conduct:

The primary goal of the Agency is the containment of anomalous items or entities, causing the minimum collateral damage possible.

To the operational leaders, remember, we are not heroes, it is not our job to save everypony, but to try and save the majority of ponies.
Sometimes, unfortunately, we need to put the needs of the many in front of the need of the few; even if we are included in the few.

Some sacrifices are unavoidable.

Equipment:

All members of the Mobile Task Force shall wear standard full-body armor and mask; plus items given to further the success rate of the operation.,

storage rings shall be given to all members with the max capacity of four items.

• 1_ Standard Stun Baton: This is the most basic item for any member of any MTF, being the standard for melee fights; remembering that our goal is not to kill, but to contain.
• 2_ Standard Energy Short Bow: Another item basic to any members of the MTF, the bow was made with wood enhanced by unicorn enchanters and with magic crystals.

This means that the bow doesn't need an arrow, it shoots energy arrows using the user magic. These arrows can be set to stun or kill — if the need arises.
With the approval of the site director, the MTF member can customize the bow to better suit it's needs. * 3_Basic First Aid kit * 4_Personal Item/Weapon: Some members have a better understatement of a special weapon, item or skill. With the approval of the site director, the last space of the storage ring can be used to store this.

Basic formation for teams.

All sites have many types of MTF, but it's formation in it's the most basic form is of four members, one of them being the leader and one being a field researcher.

The leader of the operation shall be chosen based on merit and experience, and no one should question the choice. And the abilities of the members have to complement themselves.

An example of basic team composition:
Teams are composed of four members, a unicorn named Cap, an earth pony called Potato Smasher, a Pegasus called Golden Cloud and another earth pony called Rocky.

Cap has served under others MTF and has shown a great ability of leadership, judgment and strategy. Because of this, he became the team operational leader.

Potato Smasher is clumsy but is really strong, far above the standard earth pony. That's why he is the muscle of the operation.

Golden Cloud is fast and small, even for a pony, with made her a perfect scout.

And, finishing the group, there's Rocky. He is small and weak for an earth pony, yet his mind is bright. He is an expert in many kinds of folklore, history, geology and biology. That's why he's the field researcher.

This is but an example, but there is variation to the formation when it comes to specialized teams; as the MTF-DELTA1, also known as CAVE EXPLORERS, specialized in caves and closed spaces and MTF-ALPHA2, commonly called WIND RIDERS, specialized in mountains and high altitudes.

After an anomaly is detected, and after the level of danger has been determined, one or more MTF shall be dispatched to the location to contain the anomaly.

If needed, more force shall be used and lethal force may be allowed.

To finalize this announcement, we shall talk about the special agents and their role.

In the agency hierarchy, they bellow only to the site director, having the same authority that a head researcher has.

The special Agents are individuals with great ability that greatly surpass the common pony and who have shown loyalty to the agency and its goal.

Because of this, there are few special agents in each site, but because of their experience and power, they may take on anomalies alone if needed.

In the question of their authority, they are in the same level of head researchers, but when it comes to containment, protection or neutralization of anomalies, they are only below the site director.

In any case, all special agents shall be nicknamed by their exploits and have their true identities hidden, for security porpoise.
