Hello everyone, last year was one hell of a mess with the outbreak, but I hope that we can move past that and into a new year. Anyways, this is a new story Idea I wanted to try out ever since Mils Morales was released and I'm getting help from my good friend into making this. I hope you enjoy the story and how far it will go.
Chapter 1
-Canterlot High School-
High School, one of the many steps into adulthood when you want to try and be proficient in a career and move onto the next step in your lives. This was the mindset of most of the students that were attending Caterlot University, a school that was run by Principal Celestia and her sister Vice Principal Luna. They were joined by their new freshman students that were attending the university and were all in front of school buses for this trip.
“Alright everyone, we’ll be going to the Filthy Rich Corporation for this year's field trip, so please be on your best behavior. This is not a reward, but a privilege to be exploring the place. Let's not have a repeat happen last year when the seniors got too...curious of places which should've never been discovered,” Principal Celestia said.
Among that group of students was a select group of friends who were all in their senior class and were excited for the school trip.
“I can’t believe we’re going to take a tour of the Filthy Rich Corporation, this is so exciting!” a familiar and studios girl in the group said with a smile on her face. This was one of the seniors of Canterlot High, Twilight Sparkle. She was originally a student of the Crystal Prep Academy, but transferred to Canterlot high for a new lease on life since her old school was nothing but a mess of torment and sorrow. Wearing her old crystal prep uniform that she changed to not have the logo, and her usual trademark glasses, she’s known to be at the top of her studies. “I can't wait to see what kind of new science projects they're testing! Just think of the infinite possibilities," Twilight fangirled very adorkably.
“You're really into this aren’t you?” A familiar redhead said with a smile on her face as she crossed her arms. This was Sunset Shimmer, a friend of hers that she met and helped her with her problems previously.
"I can't help it! This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to get a tour of one of the biggest corporations in the city!" Twilight replied, still fangirling a bit.
“Just wish it wasn’t a boring trip to some building,” A rainbow haired girl mentioned as she lazily sat on the side. This was the sports fanatic Rainbow Dash and the head of the Soccer team. “It’s probably gonna have nothing, but old test tubes or something."
"Not every science corporation is about chemicals, Rainbow Dash," a male voice said. Rainbow looks to see that it was Heat Blitz who spoke. He had short, orange hair, light yellow skin, bright purple eyes like Principal Celestia and wore a purple shirt and blue jeans. "Some science corporations specialize in designing new technology."
"He's right, you know." Another male voice said. The guy who spoke was Eternal Flames. He had white skin, long red hair, sapphire blue eyes and wore a black short-sleeved shirt with scarlet red long sleeves poking out through the shorter sleeves and had brown pants. "Science comes in all shapes and sizes and subjects."
"Perhaps if you studied a little better in science, you wouldn't be spouting that nonsense," yet another male voice called out. That voice belonged to another one of their friends, Israel Yabuki. He wore a long-sleeve blue shirt with tan pants, had bright yellow skin, silver white long hair, even had hazel green eyes.
"Hey! It's not my fault they made the subject so hard to understand?!" Rainbow countered.
"But it is your fault for not putting an effort to try and understand," Israel retorted.
"Come now, darling. There's no need to insult Rainbow so much," a posh voice intervened. They all turned around to see Rarity walking by with a smile on her face. "I'm sure she can learn science properly with the right tutor."
“The teachers just need to make it not sound like jumbled nonsense,” she groaned, leaning on the side of the bus.
“Or maybe ya need to pay more attention in science class,” a southern voice mentioned. The group turned around to see Applejack and Pinkie Pie standing beside her holding a camera. "All ya ever think about is sports an' the next upcomin' matches.”
“Oh and Rainbow Dash bad news,” Pinkie chimed in.
“What?”
"Your coach said if you don’t pass your next two exams, he’s gonna ax you from the team,” Pinkie added. Rainbow's face went pale hearing that and she was sweating up a storm.
“Okay, I seriously need to find a tutor,” she said in a panic voice. “I’d kill myself before getting axed from the team.”
“You know you can’t kill yourself right?” a stoic voice mentioned getting the girls attention. The last few to show up were Starlight Glimmer, Fluttershy, and Spike, Twilight's younger brother. “Especially since the team values you, Lightning Dust, and Spitfire and their star players.”
"Plus, you know how much I despise suicide," Israel said. "But anyways, I am curious about what kind of projects this corporation is working on."
"Well, I don't approve of how they experiment on poor, helpless animals. It's like they don't even care about what they think," Fluttershy said, disapprovingly.
"Oh, Fluttershy. I know it's hard for you to accept that, but there's nothing we can do. If we could, we'd probably free all of the animals there," Rarity said.
"Alright, students. Everyone climb aboard, take your seats. No shoving, please," Celestia said. The seniors, as instructed, all boarded the buses, taking their seats. As the girls boarded the bus, each of them cringed when they saw who was driving the bus. Twilight instantly recognized the familiar pine green haired man with matching pine green eyes and redwood colored skin.
"You…" Twilight said, squinting her eyes, disapprovingly.
"Twilight! Long time no see, right?" the guy said, trying not to make it awkward.
"Cut the flattery, Timber. What are you even doing here?" Twilight asked, frowning.
"Okay, look. I got fired from my lifeguard job and I needed to find a way to provide for the camp, so I took some lessons and became a bus driver. But at least now, I can give you a ride and be closer to you. You always did love talking abo--" Timber was then cut off.
"For the 100,000th time, no! And you getting fired as a lifeguard? No surprise there. You probably couldn't stop hitting on other girls, even when you and I used to be a thing. The sad truth is, Timber Spruce, is that you'll never change. I've found happiness again and my new boyfriend… he's always there when I need him." Twilight scolded before taking Heat's hand and bringing him to the back of the bus.
Timber was left shocked, but also quite jealous of the new guy she's dating. While he was fuming and looking in his mirror, trying to see Twilight, the other students blocked his way as they were all taking their seats. AS thy were taking their seats, Starlight sat with Sunset and Eternal Flames.
“What was that about?” Starlight asked in confusion as she turned to Sunset and Eternal.
“That guy driving the bus is named Timber Spruce,” Sunset said with a sigh. “He and Twilight used to date until that day back at the public beach when she caught him hitting on another girl.”
“Right, that was the day she ran to you crying,” Eternal mentioned, glaring back at Timber. “I ran over to that asshole and hit him hard enough to break his jaw.”
“Yeah, after that he introduced her to his brother Heat Blitz and they hit it off pretty well,” Sunset added. “I’ll bet he took this job just to try and take Twilight back.”
“He tries anything, I’ll do more than break his jaw,” Eternal added, cracking his knuckles. “He knows he can’t win in a fight against me.”
“And risk getting expelled?” Sunset said, holding his arm. “I’ll bet he knew that if you tried anything without evidence, you’d be out of her faster than he could blink. You almost got banned from the beach last time because of it.”
"A liar always gets theirs when they least expect it.” He added. “Didn’t you and Flash date awhile back?”
“Once when I was a jerk and we broke up, and the other where we wanted to start over, until things always got really awkward between us, even on a simple lunch date, so we simply broke up again after realizing we just… don't match,” Sunset admitted with a light blush on her face.
"How did he take it?" he asked.
"He actually took it better than Timber did with Twilight. He said he was fine that we were friends and we don't feel awkward with each other anymore. I guess Flash felt more like a brother to me than a boyfriend," Sunset said.
“I see. I'm glad things worked out in the end. Shall we?" Eternal asked, gesturing for his lady to sit down in one of the empty seats.
“Ah hope Twilight doesn’t get hurt after what happened last time,” Applejack added, sliding her hat to cover her face. Meanwhile, Twilight sighed to herself as she sat down with Heat Blitz.
“Hey Twilight, you okay?” Heat asked, holding Twilight's hand.
“Y-yeah, I’m fine,” she quietly said with a sigh. “Just something I don’t want to talk about.”
"Just let me know if you do need something. I'll do what I can to help," Heat says, patting her hand gently. Timber can see this and grows even more jealous, but keeps it to himself before turning on the bus and following the other buses. While traveling, most of the students were minding their own business and talking about what to expect on the trip. Eternal was keeping a close eye on Timber making sure he wasn’t trying anything, not only to protect Twilight, but his brother Heat Blitz as well. After awhile the bus began to slow down and the students began to notice the large and tall building With The FR logo on the towering building.
"So… this is it. They sure know how to draw in a crowd," Heat chuckled.
"I'll say. This place is huge!" Twilight said, wanting to fangirl again.
“It’s practically touching the sky, just how many floors do they have?” Sunset asked in shock.
“Well from what I’ve learned about them, their focus on military technology, space traven, environmental friendly workspaces and focusing on experimental treatments,” a student with a similar haircut to Twilight, but had creamy skin with red hair and purple streaks in it. She followed up by standing up and pushing the rim of her glasses on her face. “Their one of the lead donors in Canterlot City ever since Filthy Rich founded the company.”
“Quite a lovely introduction, Moondancer,” Vice Principal Luna said with a smile. “But can that wait until we arrive at the building?”
“Yes Ma’am,” Moondancer replied. She sat back down into the bus and soon as it arrived with the other two buses, it came to a halt and Luna stood up.
"Thank you. Now, everyone please exit the bus in a single file line, no shoving, no pushing, keep your hands and feet to yourselves, that includes the couples," Luna said, not messing around. Everyone got up from their seats and did as Luna instructed before exiting the bus. But when Heat was the last to exit, Timber shot him a dirty look, but Heat just ignored. He joined his brother, and their friends with the principal as they were waiting outside of the building.
“Okay class,” Principal Celestia said as she joined all of her students. “We will be entering the building soon, we just need to wait on a tour guide to arrive from inside. We may have passes, but it would still be considered trespassing without a guide. And remember to behave. We're all still guests here, so stay out of trouble. Is that clear?” The Classes agreed and waited on their guide to arrive. "Good, now everyone follow me."
Everyone other than the bus drivers followed their teachers and entered the building. Everyone walked in the building and what they saw inside amazed them. At first, there's a reception desk when everyone walked in, but behind the desk were a bunch of newly advanced technological equipment, ones that were thought to be made of science fiction, now turned into reality. Soon, a man with faded brown skin, blue eyes and black hair walks up to the class, wearing a navy blue business suit with a red necktie that had a dollar sign stitched to it. Next to the man was a woman with hot pink skin, dark violet hair, cyan eyes and had expensive golden jewelry on her, from her earrings, to her wedding ring and necklace. She wore a baby blue silk dress and dark violet trims.
And standing next to the man was Diamond Tiara, all dressed in her golden yellow coat and silver shirt and black skirt.
“Ah, you must be the Senior Class of Canterlot High,” the man spoke in a broad voice. “Welcome to Filthy Rich Corporation, where we’re constantly evolving for the future.”
“It is good to see you Filthy Rich,” Principal Celestia said with a smile.
"That's Mr. Rich to you, miss!" the woman corrected, snobbishly
“Now now Spoiled, their our guests, and they seem to be the friendly bunch,”
"Guests or not, they are to address us formally and properly," she persisted, keeping her snoot in the air.
'How can someone so snobbish look so damn hot?' Israel thought in his mind.
"Apologies for that. This here is my wife, Spoiled Rich. And of course, you know my daughter here, Diamond Tiara. My pride and joy," Filthy said.
“Oh, hi Diamond. What brings you here?" Heat asks nicely.
"Oh, that's right, today is "Bring Your Kid To Work" Day for the Freshmans. So instead of being at school, I'm here to see how my daddy does his work here." Diamond explained.
"Makes sense." Eternal said.
“Anyways, we’ll be giving a tour of the building and to show you all what the future will look like inside these walls,” he said as he walked over to a display and pushed a button. The sounds of an elevator activated and it was below the students as it was slowly rising up towards a floor above them. “And we’ll start with our space center research and development.”
Scientists working on unheard of technology ranging from moonrovers, spacesuits, drones, and spaceships designed for travel.
"If you think these are amazing, just wait until you see the top floor. That's where you'll find tech no man has ever dreamt of creating," Filthy said. The elevator soon stops and the doors open, revealing a display room with tech that one would only find in science fiction. "Right this way, if you please." he said, guiding the students and faculty. "If you'll direct your attention here, this is what we call the Neo-Cube." he shows the class this small little black cube with neon blue lights on each center. "This thing may be tiny, but one cube is enough to generate enough power to any rechargeable device in mere minutes. And you don't even have to plug it in."
“Would anyone like to volunteer?” Vice Principal Luna asked, rather intrigued at the device.
"Hmm… I'd like to. My phone's almost about to die and I forgot to charge it," Israel said, handing over his phone, which was at 12%. Luna took his phone and placed it near the cube. Filthy activated it and sure enough in probably 2 minutes or so, the cell phone was charged up to at least 87%.
"Whoa! Get a load of that!" Heat said in astonishment.
“That is amazing,” Twilight said in astonishment as she and Moondancer started taking notes of what was around them.
"Whoever invented this, I'd pay top dollar just to have one of these!" Rainbow said with a big smile on her face.
"You can thank one of our gifted scientists for this. But unfortunately, the product will not be shipped out to any store until the next 9 months so we can clear out the bugs," Filthy said.
“Ugh, lame…” she said in annoyance as she turned back to the class.
“Now now, let’s continue on with the tour and I promise you’ll be leaving satisfied,” Filthy said before the tour went on. "Now, over here, we have a display of what we call the Hypno-Ray. Now to some people, it just looks like a laser pen. But by flipping the switch here…"
“Hey Eternal,” Sunset mentioned as he pulled onto his arm. “Why don’t we look around and have our own tour?”
"Isn't that against the rules?" Eternal whispered.
“Come on, isn’t this pen thing boring to hear?” Sunset said, giving him a pouting face.
Eternal almost died from her cute, pouty face and then sighed. "Okay, but let's hurry back or we'll get in trouble,"
“Sweet,” she said with a smile. “I already have a map of the building on my phone, so we can look around and get ahead, before anyone finds us.”
“Okay then, lead the way,” he whispered. While they were sneaking away, the Hypno-Ray that Filthy was demonstrating wound up bugging up and then created a flash blue light that ended up hypnotizing everyone on the tour and putting them to sleep.
“So glad we snuck away from that little mishap,” Sunset said as she and Eternal walked towards another room.
"True. I would've been all messed up if that thing put me to sleep this early," Eternal nodded. “So where do you want to go first?”
“Why don’t we check this enclosure on the fifth floor?” she said pointing towards her phone that showed the room with a closed door.
"Hmm… I suppose it couldn't hurt." Eternal said. Sunset and Eternal had to move quietly to avoid some staff that was walking through some of the areas until they made it to the fifth floor.
“Hey, I think we found the room,” Sunset said pointing towards the two swinging doors with glass, circular windows and a golden metal spider welded on each door.
“Considering the two golden Spiders on it, I’m not surprised,” Eternal said with a sigh. “Isn’t this the room where they use the Spider’s Silk to make a special strong rope or something?”
“Couldn't hurt to see what’s here,” Sunset said. She took him by the hand and guided him inside the room where they spotted hundreds of spider enclosures and a few people taking a look at the exhibits, learning about their traits.
“Woah, this is huge,” Sunset said with shock on her face. “Just how many spiders do they have in here?”
"Beats me. Also, regarding what you said earlier… that's what she said,'' Eternal joked. Sunset chuckled and patted her boyfriend's cheek lightly.
"You're funny, you know that?" Sunset asked. “Let’s look around and see what other spiders are around here.”
"Alright then,” Eternal said with a smile. He and Sunset began to look around each of the spiders that were in each of the enclosures. One spider they checked out had a unique jumping agility, perfect for catching prey.
"This spider kinda reminds me of you, baby," Sunset chuckled.
"Oh? Why do you say that?" Eternal asked.
"Because of the way it pounces. It's just like how you pounce on me when we got laid on our 18th birthday. I'll never forget that wild adventure," Sunset reminded.
“Yeah, but we still have to graduate High School before we have a full adventure you know,” Eternal added as he hugged Sunset close. Suddenly a crash was heard getting their attention as well as the attention of other individuals around them. The sounds of a frantic scientist rushing over to the enclosure that broke that had a group of spiders running around.
“What was that?”
“Came from whoever’s over there,” Eternal said. The couple looked over to find that some of the spiders had escaped from the glass enclosure the scientist was carrying after he accidentally dropped the thing.
"Didn't I tell you to hold that thing still? Quick! Get all the spiders as soon as possible and don't let ANY of them escape!" scientist #1 said.
“I’m sorry everyone, we’re going to have to ask you all to leave currently, an accident has occurred, and we need to deal with it accordingly,” a tour guide said.
“Well this sucks,” Sunset said in annoyance, as she puffed her cheeks. “I wanted to see more of these things.”
“Well we can’t see any more if we catch whatever they have, so let’s go. We can head to your house after school to do something fun, is that alright with you?” he asked.
“Would be nice,” Sunset added as she and Eternal left. Unknown to either of them, two spiders managed to slip away from the scientists in the lab and slowly crawl on the legs of both Sunset and Eternal Flames. After awhile, Sunset and Eternal managed to slip right back up to the top floor with the rest of the class unnoticed, as Filthy Rich was speaking to everyone about what just happened.
“Again, I’m mighty sorry about this ma’am, I wasn’t expecting it to bug out that fast,” Filthy Rich explained.
“It's quite alright, we know that it was an accident,” Principal Celestia said with a sigh, as she looked at everyone.
"That's right. It just means there's room for improvement. Rome wasn't built in a day," Twilight said with understanding.
"Right you are, young lady, right you are," Filthy said. “But I’m sorry to say that we’ll have to cut this tour short. I received word from some of my employees that an accident occurred down in the 5th floor. So, until we take care of whatever happened downstairs, I'm afraid we'll have to stop the tour a little early.”
“We understand,” Vice Principal Luna agreed as she turned to the rest of the class. “Sorry everyone, we’ll have to go back to campus because of an accident that occured downstairs.”
Most of the seniors groaned in disappointment as they were just getting into the tour and wanting to see more of the technology the corporation had. Sadly, there was nothing they could do, so they agreed to go back to the buses. Sunset and Eternal blended back in with the group and pretended as if nothing happened to them.
“Wow, glad we managed to sneak back over here,” Sunset said with a sigh. “How much trouble do you think we would’ve gotten in if we got caught?”
"Probably enough to get suspended for a few days maximum. A week of detention at minimum. You know how my aunt can be over the top." Eternal whispered.
“That's true. I don't think she knows the meaning of the phrase "holding back." But anyways, hey, Heat, Twilight, you guys okay?” Sunset asked, as she noticed Twilight and Heat.
"Okay? OKAY? This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to witness humanity's evolution in technology and have to leave this beautiful place because of an emergency!" Twilight whined, having a major meltdown as they were leaving.
"Calm down, Twily. I know it sucks, but maybe we'll come back next time. Or if we're lucky, Israel can make similar tech and show us how it works. He's been working very hard as a scientist and an engineer," Heat tried to cheer her up.
"Oh, is that right?" Filthy asked. "Forgive me for listening in on your conversation, but did you say one of your friends is an inventor?"
"Hmm?" Heat asked before seeing Filthy up close. "Oh, that's right. Israel's been putting in most of his extra freetime into making new inventions. But since he doesn't have a good budget, he's mostly helped out with fixing stuff."
"Like the time he fixed the amplifier for my guitar!" Rainbow chimed in.
"Or the time he helped Big Mac fix the truck," Applejack added.
"My, sounds like he's a handy young man. Perhaps if he goes to college, I might consider offering him a position at my company," Filthy said proudly.
"I'll think about it when deciding my career, sir. Thank you for the offer," Israel said.
Filthy Rich chuckled proudly before wishing everyone a farewell as they left the building and arrived at the buses.
“Alright everyone, on the buses, single file as well,” Principal Celestia said as she watched the students do as instructed. They boarded the bus one at a time, then when it came for Heat to walk inside, Timber shot a nasty grin at him. Heat found it strange, but shook his head at Timber's childish attitude. He went to go and take his seat, then reached under the seat to get his backpack. He pulls it out and opens it up.
Heat rummages through his backpack, looking for something, but when he checked inside, he couldn't find what he was looking for and panicked. "What the? Where is it? I know I had it in here when I left! Where'd it go?" Heat asked.
"Uh, Heat, what's the matter?" Eternal asked.
"Remember that gift I bought for Twilight?" Heat whispered and Eternal nodded. "Well, it's gone and I…" he paused when he recalled something from earlier. "...I think I have a pretty good feeling what happened. Can you let mom know when the time is right?"
"Yeah, sure. No problem," Eternal nodded before they all took their seats. Once everyone boarded the buses, the drivers headed off, driving the students back to school.
The buses finally make it back and a bunch of disappointed seniors climb out, heading back to their regular classes, but… for Heat Blitz, he stopped right next to Timber and looked down to find a familiar small box. Knowing Timber, the man probably emptied it out, taking the gift. Heat glimpses at Timber and sees something silver and shiny tucked in his shirt collar.
"What? You're at school, get off," Timber urged, getting anxious.
"Not until I get all of my stuff out," Heat shook his head.
"What do you call all that?" Timber gestured to his backpack.
"This is only most of my stuff. But there's one item missing and I'm sure you know what I'm talking about," Heat said.
"U-Uh… nope, not a clue," Timber denied, sweating bullets.
"Don't play coy with me, I know you have it," Heat said sternly.
"Is there a problem here, son?" Celestia asked, walking inside the bus.
"N-No, there's no problem… right?" Timber asked Heat, wanting him to play along.
"If there's no problem, then why are you sweating so much?" Heat asked. "Oh right. Mom, did I tell you I forgot something on here?"
"Well, go ahead and look for it, but you don't wanna be late for classes," Celestia said.
"I would, but… the sad thing is… Timber took what I was looking for," Heat said, now causing Timber to get a bit more nervous.
"Y-You don't have any proof I took anything from you. Show it to me," he's gonna regret saying that after Heat's done with him.
"Fine, but you leave me with no choice," Heat said before pulling out a receipt. "This is a receipt I kept on me from yesterday when I visited an antique store. And if I'm not mistaken, that little gift box by your feet and that shiny thing tucked in your shirt look exactly like the items I bought just yesterday. So tell me… why do you have them?"
Timber was sweating buckets at this point, looking back and forth, but it was only a matter of time before the man cracked. "Okay, okay! Here, take the stupid stuff!" he exclaimed before taking the gift, putting it back in the little gift box and throwing it at Heat, which he catches with one hand.
Celestia, looked down at the young man disapprovingly, glaring at his criminal actions. "I'm going to have a long talk with your superiors for stealing my son's possessions. You'll never change… not in a million years," she said in a deep, stern tone. "Heat, you may go now."
"Sure thing, mom. See ya," Heat said as he put the gift back in his backpack and headed off while Celestia stayed behind to make an important phone call. Heat then returned to Sunset, Eternal, and Twilight who he was glad to meet.
“What took you so long?” Sunset asked in confusion.
“Oh, just left some stuff on the bus, but everything's good now," Heat replied with a chipper, happy tone.
“You sound in a happy mood bro, what’s up?”
“Just something I’ve been meaning to give to my girlfriend earlier,” Heat said with a smile.
“What do you mean?” Twilight asked. Sunset and Eternal stood back and watched Heat work his magic as he pulled out the gift box from his backpack and handed it to Twilight. "For me?" she gasped.
"Go ahead, Twilight. Open it," Heat encouraged. Twilight instantly opened it up and gasped happily when she found a beautiful silver necklace with a locket attached to it. Inside the locket was a cute little music box that played a beautiful melody once it was opened. Twilight's eyes widened as her ears took in the most heart-warming melody she's ever heard.
“It’s... beautiful Heat, I love it!” she exclaimed with a bright smile as she hugged her boyfriend. Heat Blitz' blushed bright red.
"Aww, shucks. I'm glad you liked it, Twilight. I thought of you the whole time when I bought that necklace for you," Heat chuckled nervously.
"Well, I love it very much. Thanks again, Heat," Twilight replied before laying a kiss on his lips. Most of the class watched and gave out "awws" of approval, happy for the young couple. Meanwhile Sunset and Eternal watched the both of them and smiled.
"Aww, that's so sweet. It's so nice to see the-- OW!" Sunset exclaimed when a sharp pain jolted from her hand.
"Sunset? What's the ma- GAH!!!" Eternal exclaimed, feeling the same pain on his own hand before both looked at their own hands. They saw two spiders and bite marks, so they shook them off, which made both spiders fall and land safely on the grass. "That smarts!"
"Sunset? Eternal? Is something wrong?" Celestia asked, going over to her oldest son and his girlfriend, checking up on them.
"Not really, we just got bitten by a couple of spiders," Sunset replied before groaning in pain. Celestia took a look at each of their bite marks and saw them swell a bit.
"Oh dear. Well… I suppose I could arrange for you two call in early, but be sure to have those wounds looked after as much as possible," Celestia said. "Are you feeling any symptoms?"
"Aside from the pain of the bites, no. But I don't wanna take chances and get the others sick."
“Same here,” Sunset added as she looked at Eternal. “Think you can drive to my place?”
"Yeah. I can drive. Sorry for the inconvenience, mom," Eternal said.
Celestia shook her head side to side. "Don't worry about it. You just go and get some rest. Get well soon, okay?" Her son nodded before he grabbed Sunset by the hand, taking her over to his car which is a red 1997 Acura NSX.
“We’ll see you guys later,” Sunset told their friends who gave them waves as Eternal unlocked his car. They get inside and buckle up before driving off. When they left the school grounds, Twilight turned to Heat Blitz.
“What do you think bit them?” she asked Heat.
“Not sure, but knowing my bro, he’d rather not take any chances,” he added. They then hear a frustrated Timber behind them as he is being taken by Vice Principal Luna to the office. “Just like I’d rather not take chances with that asshole being on school grounds. What history do you have with him?”
“I’d rather not talk about it,” she said with a sigh. “It’s more...personal reasons…”
“I understand, that's fine. I won't pry any further," he added as both he and Twilight walked back to the school.
-Meanwhile-
"Hey, babe. What kind of spiders bit us when we saw them?" Sunset asked.
"I don't know, but I'm not taking any chances. We're heading to the hospital to get these things checked out." Eternal replied.
"You got a point there. By the way, after our trip to the hospital, why don't you stay the night at my place? It'll be a lot easier for the both of us to keep an eye on each other for any symptoms that may occur," she offered.
"Sounds good to me. I could use some rest after this little accident," Eternal replied.
Luckily for them, there was a clinic nearby, so they didn't have to worry about long travels. They got their wounds checked out and turned out, Sunset got bit by a black widow, so the doctors gave her some medicine that might help keep poison at bay until it dies down. Eternal, on the other hand, got bit by a burglarized spider. The bite wasn't as serious, but he was gonna feel a little woozy after some time.
After getting their wounds checked out, they left the clinic and made it back safely at Sunset's apartment where Eternal parked the car safely. Soon, they get out and lock the car doors and towards the front door.
“Glad we got home in time,” Sunset added as she pulled out her key and put it into the door. “You can spend the night at my place till these spider bites clear up for us. Can’t risk infecting the whole school right?”
“You said a mouthful babe,” Eternal said as he followed Sunset inside her apartment. Sunset’s apartment wasn’t big, but it wasn’t small either. Being a two bedroom apartment if she ever had guests visiting, it was more of a quiet non luxurious apartment. She had a big living room in the center with a wide recliner couch, a kitchen on the far left, staircase on the right leading to the upstairs bathroom, and two bedrooms right next to one another upstairs.
“Sorry it’s such a mess, I haven’t cleaned up for a week after getting some new school gear,” she admitted with a blush.
“No worries,” He said with a smile. “So, you got anything we can chow down on for the medication?”
“I have some instant noodles for right now if that’s okay,” she added.
"Sure. I can go for some instant noodles," Eternal nodded.
“Which kind do you want?” she asked, reaching into her cabinet. “I have chicken, shrimp, teriyaki and jalapeno.”
"I'll have some spicy jalapeno noodles," Eternal replied.
"Sure thing. Coming right up," she nodded before heading into the kitchen. Meanwhile, Eternal walked over to the couch, then suddenly felt a little itchy. He scratches his arm where his hand got bit. Then surely, he felt his vision getting blurry, then almost lost his balance.
“Whoa, Eternal you okay?” Sunset asked, worried for him. She didn’t open any packets and she put down the pot, turned off the gas and went over and walked over to her lover. Sunset catches him before setting him down gently on the couch.
"C-Can't… stand or… see straight. Can… barely stay awake," Eternal replied, trying to fight off the urge to pass out.
“I think the bite is starting to affect you, I need to get your medi...medi..cine…” Sunset began to trail off as she felt her body heating up. “D...damn...I think this is starting to affect me…”
“G...get...our...medi...cation…”
"C...Can… do. . ." Sunset replied before suddenly collapsing on the couch next to Eternal. Her entire body felt heavy and tired as well as hot. She clinged to her lover, trying to stay awake and get their medication. But to no avail as both lovers soon passed out in each other's arms. Both of them thought that they were going to die, but little did they know was that their lives were going to take a drastic change.
