Web Warriors of Canterlot City
Chapter 4
Previous ChapterNext Chapter“So, would you both explain to me what exactly happened and why you look like this?” Celestia said while she, Heat Blitz, Sunset, Luna, and Twilight were in the car with her. They were driving through the city on their way to their Two-story house that was just a few blocks away from Canterlot City.
"Uh… extra vitamins and minerals?" Eternal shrugged.
“I find that rather hard to believe with how we saw you just yesterday and you suddenly wind up like this today,” Luna added. “Not to mention how nervous you’re both acting.”
"Uh… I'm not sure you'd believe us if we told you," Eternal said.
“Um...Principal Celestia,” Twilight said, getting their attention. “I think we should save that subject for tomorrow. They both had to deal with an assault and attempted murder earlier. So maybe we should focus on something else for right now.”
"Fair point. We can discuss your changes tomorrow.” Celestia nodded
“Thanks,” Sunset followed up. “I did make sense to talk to Rarity and explain our situation, but let’s just say that she got a little...distracted…”
"Let me guess, she checked you two out and fainted from seeing your, pardon my choice of words, your honkers, perfect curves and my brother's brickhouse body," Heat said deadpanned.
“BLITZ!!” Sunset yelled, her face burning red.
"Like I said, pardon my choice of words," he said, raising his hands defensively.
“You’re lucky Twilight likes you…” she grumbled, with a pout.
"Anyways, do you both want anything while we’re out driving?” Celestia asked.
"No thanks, we just ate a big meal during lunch some time before we went to the station," Eternal shook his head left and right.
"Maybe not, but me and Twilight are famished. We haven't had a chance to eat in a few hours. So, Twilight, what are you having a hankering for?" Heat asked.
"Hmm… now that I think about, perhaps maybe I could indulge in some pizza. It's been a while since I had any," Twilight said.
“Which place?” Celestia asked.
"Ooh! Maybe you can stop by Cheesey Pete's Pizza?" Twilight asked. "They make the best stuffed-crust pizzas there."
"Mmm, stuffed crust. You can eat it… in reverse!" Heat agreed.
“Okay, I’ll call them in, and we can pick it up on the way home,” Luna added. "And, uh… might as well get two in case Eternal and Sunset need something for dinner."
“Guess it’s a good call,” Eternal added.
"Yeah, something tells me we may have to… start dinner a couple of hours early," Sunset added, chuckling nervously.
"An early dinner? You two must have a high metabolism or something," Celestia replied.
“You could say that,” Sunset added. They continued to enjoy the drive and Luna even picked up two large Deep Dish Pizzas. One was classic Pepperoni for Heat Blitz and Twilight, while the other Pepperoni and Jalapeno Pizza was for Eternal and Sunset later. After picking up both Deep Dish pies, they arrived at their place.
Celestia and Luna climbed out of the car to go unlock the door to their house while Celestia's boys and their girlfriends helped unload the pizzas. She unlocks the door and everyone quickly walks in one at a time.
"Alright, everyone put the pizzas down on the table, wash your hands and then come back." Celestia said.
“Thank you for letting me stay over Principal Celestia. I promise I won’t be a burden to you,” Twilight said as she followed Celestia and her family inside.
"Don't be silly, Sunset. You're part of the family as far as I'm concerned. What's ours is yours and what's yours is ours," Celestia reassured.
"Should I set up a guest room for Sunset to stay in or do I just let her crash with me over in my old room?" Eternal asked.
“She can bunk with you, so long as neither of you try to make a move on each other,” she said with a smirk. Sunset and Eternal immediately blush in response.
“P-principal Celestia!”
"M-MOM!!! Gimme a break, you know I'm not gonna try that until after I'm an adult!" Eternal objected, covering his face with one hand.
"Relax, son. I know you're patient. But I must remind you that your 18th birthday as well as your brother's is in a couple of days. Twilight, Sunset, you're both 18 right now, right?" Celestia asked the girls.
"18 and a half, to be exact," Twilight confirmed.
"Yeah, that's right." Sunset nodded, but hiding her face in her hair.
"Well, as soon as my boys turn 18, you can have as much fun as you want… as long as you don't get pregnant too soon," she teased again. Everyone other than Luna blushed at her words as Celestia giggled and walked upstairs.
"I swear to god, she can be a real troll sometimes," Eternal groaned.
"You're telling me. Mom's a real work of art when she wants to be," Heat agreed.
“You get used to it after awhile,” Luna added. “Back in our younger years I walked in on her and her husband making love. It was… rather awkward and it was even more awkward as she made a joke to me after that.”
“I don’t think I want to know,” Sunset sighed.
“Same here,” Twilight added, her face bright red from embarrassment.
“I understand,” Luna added as she walked upstairs to join her sister, leaving the group of teens alone.
“Okay, well with that out of the way,” Heat said as he turned to Eternal and Sunset. “Maybe you both can explain why you both look like supermodels from a magazine?”
“And how did you defend yourselves from the thugs that tried to attack you earlier?” Twilight followed up, as she was washing her hands.
"Alright, I suppose you deserve to know," Eternal sighed in defeat. He then gestured both Heat and Twilight over. They huddled in close and loaned them their ears. "Do you remember when our class trip got cut short at the Filthy Rich Corporation?" he whispered.
"Yeah, but we didn't know why," Heat nodded, whispering.
"The thing is… Eternal and I snuck off on our own to check out one of the exhibits. It was some kind of spider exhibit and one of the researchers dropped a box full of genetically enhanced spiders and broke the box. I think two of the escaped spiders hitched a ride on us," Sunset whispered quietly.
"And when we got back to school, those little buggers bit us, Some time after we got home, we felt weak… and tired. So, Sunset and I passed out on the couch and then, the next thing we knew, we woke up and our bodies were more filled out," Eternal whispered, leaving out the part about Madam Webb.
"Wait, so your bodies changed because of a couple of genetically altered spider bites?" Twilight asks quietly, astonished. The fiery couple nodded. "Oh wow! I never thought such a thing would be possible in this day and age! Tell me, what other kind of enhancements did you two? I have got to take a note of this!" she said excitedly.
"Easy, Twily. Your adorkabetes is showing," Heat chuckled.
“Thanks bro,” Eternal followed up.
“Well other than the new bodies, we did get something else,” Sunset followed up. “Earlier today while I was on my way to get lunch I sensed someone trying to make a move on me. And when he tried to grab me, he yelled that I almost took off his arm. Then there was the attack where I kicked that one guy in the face and he flew out my door.”
"It's the same for me when I was almost shot, but when I dodged, it felt like I was flying in the air when I jumped, despite my large stature. On top of that… I think our appetites might've gotten a little bigger," Eternal added. "Oh… and there's also… these," he then opened up his mouth and showed the two sharp fangs.
"Whoa! Those are sharp! Did you bite yourself by accident?" Heat asked, shocked.
"Yup… and it didn't feel well." Eternal replied.
"And don't even get me started on these," Sunset replied before showing her claws. “I accidentally ripped his previous shirt because of ‘em.”
“You have claws and he has fangs, this is amazing!” Twilight said in shock.
“We were planning on testing our powers at an abandoned warehouse, but then that mess happened,” Eternal added.
“So after you guys eat we can check out the Abandoned Warehouse to see what we can do?” Sunset added.
“We'd love to help you, but we have a project we need to do first," Twilight said regretfully.
"Yeah, that’s kinda the reason why I invited her to my place,” Heat added. “Last time she tried to invite me to her place, her crazy dad tried to shoot me.”
“Oh man, how could we forget that?” Sunset followed up. She and everyone shuddered at the thought when Celestia found out. She nearly tried to break him in half when that happened. If Luna didn’t calm her down who knows what she could’ve done.
"I still can't believe mom had him bed-ridden for 3 weeks. It's gonna take a long time before that man even thinks about trusting us. But he should've known better than to lump my own brother with that cheating bastard,” Eternal said.
“Isn’t her dad mentally scarred whenever he sees her?” Sunset asked, turning to Twilight.
“Yeah, let’s just say that parent teacher conferences and open houses at school have been very awkward as he avoided eye contact with Principal Celestia after that day,” she said. “He had to seek therapy and he’s still scared of her.”
"In my honest opinion, aside from therapy… he needs closure. Put this whole mess behind him and for both of our parents to apologize," Heat recommended.
“That’ll be later. Okay how about this, we help you guys with your project and see if we can get it done tonight, and we go to the warehouse as well. That sound fair?” Sunset asked
“I guess that would work,” Twilight nodded.
“Okay, but we'll worry about that after we eat,” He said as he and the group washed their hands. Later, Celestia and Luna came down in casual wear and they, Twilight and Heat Blitz ate first while watching some TV. As celestia was flipping through channels, a news report was starting to go through.
"Breaking news today as a group of armed robbers have been apprehended with the help of a couple of individuals. Earlier today, three armed robbers infiltrated Carousel Boutique and held a family hostage. These masked menaces would've gotten away with a big score had it not been for the courageous act of a young man who is choosing to remain anonymous for the time being.. Reports from the victims stated he was bringing their oldest daughter home at the time of the incident," The news anchorman said.
"But that's not all, that very same young man and his girlfriend had an encounter with 4 more goons who threaten him and his girlfriend, who also chooses to remain anonymous, to stay out of their business. The couple was told they were working for someone else," The news anchor woman next to him. “Luckily, they managed to fight them off and had them detained until the police arrived. Some of them will be treated for injuries and then be taken into custody.”
“Glad we chose to stay anonymous,” Sunset said with a sigh. “I’d hate to gain the ire of whoever sent those assholes after us.”
“Well you’re welcome to stay with us for as long as you like until the Trial starts,” Celestia said with a smile.
"That's nice of you, Celestia. I could use a break from all this. Today's been nothing but a string of hostile events," Sunset accepted. "Celestia, have you ever had to deal with something similar to our current situation?"
"I don't know. It's been a long time, I might've forgotten one. But I happen to remember, I'll let you know," Celestia said. "For now, let's just focus on trying to relax and have some dinner. You've already been through enough as it is."
"Yeah, good point," Sunset nodded. Everyone then quickly served themselves a plate of their pizza slices and took their dinner to the living room where they all continued to watch TV. They flipped through another channel and noticed that Shining Armor was on.
“Hey Twilight, your brother's on!” Heat stated. Twilight gasped and watched with glee.
"We've apprehended the suspects and plan to prosecute them to the max extent. If their boss has a problem with losing a few men, then he can take it up with me man-to-man! I won’t rest until this monster and his criminal underworld have been brought to justice.”
“That’s so Shining Armor,” Twilight said proudly.
"Gutsy move… but also dangerous," Eternal said, feeling a bit uneasy. “I mean; I get not having any fear against anyone, but we don’t know who this one asshole he’s going after is capable of.”
“You know Shining Armor’s old saying; No matter how hard things get, you always have to be responsible,” Twilight said with a smile.
"Let's just hope it doesn't get him killed," Heat said.
“Hey, my brother is tougher than he looks,” Twilight pouted, smacking her boyfriend in the arm.
"Ow! Sorry, I'm just worried about him," he groaned. “I wasn’t doubting the guy.”
“I hope not,” she added with annoyance.
"As much as I would like to hear you talk about your brother, shouldn’t we finish this pizza?” Eternal said with a dull stare. Twilight and Heat looked at each other, and blushed in embarrassment as they continued to eat as they watched the news. Another anchor showed up as she was having an interview with a very familiar male that Sunset ran into on her way to get lunch earlier.
"In other news, it seems there was a fight that broke out in our city and it was all captured on film, but be advised as this footage may be a little too graphic for some viewers," the news anchorwoman explained before showing a video of Sunset roughing up a random stranger, followed by the guy being interviewed.
"She's a freaking masochist, I tell you! And to think that my babe and I were close! I thought I was gonna die back there!" the victim said, looking traumatized.
“That fucking asshole!” Sunset shouted, standing up from her seat, and getting everyone else’s attention.
“Language Sunset,” Celestia said with a sigh.
“Who’s that guy?” Eternal ask, and Sunset pinched the bridge of her eyes in frustration.
“That’s the jerk who tried to slap my ass earlier when I had my back turned,” Sunset groaned in annoyance. “He’s just mad that he was thrown by a girl. Fucking creep.”
"I believe my sister said "Language," young lady," Luna said.
"Oh, I'm gonna put some dirt in his eye," Eternal said, getting up from his seat.
“I actually have a better idea,” Twilight said with a smile as she took out her smartphone. “Since that guy tried to defame you, we already know what he looks like. All I have to do is make one little phone call to someone I know.”
"You're calling Shining Armor, aren't you?" Heat asked, smirking.
"Hmm… maybe," Twilight replied, smirking as well. “Just give me a few minutes and I’ll be back in the room.” Twilight then stepped out of the room and made the phone call to her brother.
The news continued on, along with the creep saying he was going to press charges on his "girlfriend" for throwing him for no reason. And after his little rant, the news directed their attention to something else, mostly good stories of people recovering from illnesses, bad stories of more murders in the city. But then, later on, there was an interview with Shining Armor about him making an arrest on the same guy who tried pressing charges on Sunset.
"I recently got… an anonymous tip from someone that the young lady was framed. I ran a background on this guy and turns out, he's had a previous record for stalking minors. We've already arrested him and am asking to give my sincerest apologies to the young lady and her real boyfriend for having to deal with this immature creep." Shining said.
“I’ll ‘bleep’ get you, you ‘bleep’,” he yelled on the air.
“Glad TV shows censor that,” Sunset said as she turned towards Twilight who came back down smiling. “Thanks Twilight, you rule…”
“Glad I could help,” she said with a smile. “I’ll bet the network was nervous about getting hit with a lawsuit and decided to go with the anonymous tip.”
“Good to hear,” Eternal added. “Anyways, Sunset and I have somewhere to be.”
"Oh, is that right?” Celestia asked, smirking slyly. "Don't tell me you're gonna go and start giving me "grandchildren" are you?"
"MOM!!! DON'T JOKE LIKE THAT!!!" Eternal shouted. Celestia laughed it up as a joke.
“Where could you both be going at this time?” Luna asked with a concerned and confused look. “Especially with everything that’s happened today.”
“We wanted to check the abandoned warehouse to find some stuff for our project,” Eternal added. “Twilight and Heat said that they wanted to help us out as well.”
“Are you sure you’ll all be alright?”
"With the way we've changed right now, I think we'll be alright,"
“You both still owe us an explanation about why you look the way you do when you get back,” Luna followed up sternly. “You can't’ keep dodging this forever.”
"And we'll tell you eventually, I promise," Eternal assured. “Just need to get this out of the way while we’re at it.”
“All right, just be careful out there and don't let anymore creeps jump you,” she warned.
“At least try to protect your brother and his girlfriend as well,” Luna added.
“Don’t worry, we’ll be careful,” Eternal followed up. “You want us to get you anything while we’re at it?”
"Hmm… let's see… nothing comes to mind," Heat said.
“Nothing that I’m aware of,” Twilight said as she placed her laptop into her bag. “I do at least want to work on my project while we’re out.”
“Okay, come with us. But stay close when we get there,” Sunset said. "We don't want anything bad to happen to you, so we'll be your bodyguards."
“At least try to stay out of trouble, and if you see anyone suspicious, call the police,” Celestia said with a smile as she and Luna saw them out.
"We will. See you later, mom," Heat said.
"Don't worry, they're in good hands," Eternal reassured, patting his brother on the back.
“Alright,” Celestia said with a sigh. The group of highschoolers then began to get the car ready in the garage and buckled themselves up before Eternal started the engine. He pulled out of the garage and drove off while his mother and aunt watched, hoping their boys and their lovers would come home safely.
“I just hope that what happened on the news blows over soon,” Celestia said with a sigh.
“You’re still worried that something bad may happen to your sons like what happened to your husband?” Luna asked Celestia. Celestia simply sigh, as a single tear ran down her cheek.
“Is it that obvious?” she asked as she hugged her sister.
“You know that you can’t hide your hurt feelings from your sons or their girlfriends forever right?” Luna brought up with a sigh. Celestia could never forget what happened to her husband that tragic day. It was just about a year ago when her sons just entered their junior year in high school and their sister Summer Solstice went abroad. Blaze Burn was a top notch investigative reporter who wouldn’t slow down in his journalism. He was about to publish a story on a member of one of the mafia crime families when he was killed in a car crash. The day he died Celestia cried herself to sleep.
When her boys heard about the news, Eternal was bitter and wanted to kill the people who took his father away. Heat had isolated himself in his room for days, crying over his loving dad being gone from his world. The worst part was that their father promised to take them on a 1 week Summer vacation on a private island after he planned on finishing the case and his boys doing well in school.
A funeral was made for her husband and an investigation later went into work to determine if the crash was based on foul play, but it was ruled an accident. Sadly it was covered up as Celestia believed that a murder happened. Celestia had a strong belief that her husband's death was ruled as an accident to cover up the fact that he was murdered. But she didn't wanna risk making a move or those same people would come after her sons, so Celestia remained silent about the whole ordeal. She did what she could to keep them safe, but she still wanted to be sure that nothing would happen to them.
“To this day it still hurts,” Celestia said with a sigh. Right now, she's hoping her own kids don't put themselves in danger because right now… this is out of her reach.
A blue Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross was driving through the city with four passengers inside. Sunset, Twilight and their boyfriends, Heat and Eternal. Their destination: an abandoned warehouse, but on the way there, a few questions rang inside their heads.
“So how long are we going to be there?" Sunset asked.
"At least half an hour so we can get all the info we need on our project," Twilight said.
“What exactly are you and Heat working on anyway?” Sunset asked.
“Oh my project is actually based on Trigonometry,” Twilight explained. “We’ve been gathering seismic activity in specific areas, and then we have to perform a presentation where the seismic activity would affect the wavelengths in natural disaster cases to better prepare for them.”
“So like if an earthquake hits the city, Twilight’s presentation would help deduce where it's most likely to hit the hardest and help everyone prepare for the worst,” Heat followed up.
"Wow, talk about genius. I hope you guys ace the exam. Keep up that teamwork and you'll be entitled to a really big scholarship," Eternal calmly praised.
“Thanks,” Twilight and Heat said in unison. "Jinx!" they said again before laughing it out. Sunset and Eternal shook their heads in amusement.
Before long, the group had finally arrived at the abandoned warehouse and around that time, the sun was nowhere in the sky, but its rays were still there. It was almost too dark to see out, so this put Sunset and Eternal on high alert. They all got out and handed each other some flashlights from Celestia's glove compartment.
"Now remember, don't wander off too far and if you run into trouble, flick your lights on and off and we'll be there as quick as possible. Okay?" Sunset asked.
"We will," Heat nodded in understanding.
After their little agreement, Heat and Twilight went in first before Eternal and Sunset just so they'd keep an eye out for them more effectively.
"So, how are you guys gonna measure the wavelengths? Did you bring some sort of equipment that can do that for you?" Sunset asked.
“It’s all on my laptop,” Twilight said with a smile. “I have software that records seismic data and I even have a microphone in my bag to record the data as well.”
“Okay then, go ahead and do your business and we'll be waiting close by,” Eternal nodded as he and his girlfriend gave the two some space to work.
“Shouldn’t we at least tell them now, while we’re here?” Sunset asked. “We can’t keep dodging this forever, and the same goes for your mom and aunt as well.”
“You got a point babe, but how would they react when we tell them?” Eternal added.
"We'll just have to hope for the best and prepare for the worst," Sunset said.
“Okay we should at least try to-” Eternal was cut off when he heard what sounded like something hitting the floor. “What was that?”
“It came from back there,” Sunset said as she also heard the crash. Eternal and Sunset made a quick dash to where they heard that loud crashing noise. It was just outside of the warehouse and thought something was off. Using hier flashlight, they shined a light towards the ground and found Twilight’s Laptop on the ground. It’s screen was static as the laptop was damaged.
"Twilight's laptop! It looks like she dropped it. The only question is… why?" Eternal asked before his light caught something else on the ground; a footprint. "Sunset… either Heat's feet grew… or he and Twilight might've been taken." Eternal said, on the verge of panicking… and losing his violent temper. Sunset then looked down to see more footprints and what looked to see drag lines on the floor.
"You might be right about the latter… there's more footprints. And they all seem fresh. Quick, if we hurry, we might be able to save them!" Sunset said urgently.
“Where do you think they’d be?” Eternal asked.
“We’ll have to go inside to see what happened,” Sunset said. Eternal nodded, but before they could go inside, Sunset peeked through one of the broken windows. They peered around the room and were stunned with what they found. There seemed to be a total of about fourteen goons with various weapons, like bats, crowbars, and two of them had pistols. Two guards were guarding one way, while another two were guarding the other way. The remaining group were in the center of the room and looked to be talking.
“Oh crap,” Sunset whispered, slowly peeking her head down.
“Yeah, I don’t think we’ll be going inside," Eternal whispered. "Wait… look there," he pointed out. One of the goons, looked to be holding something in his hand… possibly a duffle bag or a briefcase, but it was too dark to see clearly. It looked as if they were conversing with the man with the big money stacks. The other had what looked like white bricks.
“We at least know what’s going on, but we don’t know who they are, or where Heat or Twilight are,” Sunset added.
"Then, we'd better find another way in to scout the area and find Twilight and Heat. They're lives are our top priority." Eternal whispered.
“Well how exactly are we going to get in the- wait!” Sunset stopped herself from talking and thought about what happened to them. “If we’re able to sense things like a spider, could we be able to climb the wall like a spider?”
"Beats me… but it is worth testing out. Let's see if your theory is true," He replied. The two stared up at the wall, then down to their hands. The first to test out the theory was Sunset, who jumped straight onto the wall, hoping to stick to it… and she did. She looked shocked, but also pleased to know her theory was right.
"Huh? Did you guys hear that?" Goon 1 asked.
"Relax, probably just a stray mutt," Goon 2 replied.
Sunset and Eternal stayed silent for a bit just to be safe.
“Sorry,” Sunset said as she looked at Eternal who slowly walked towards the wall, and softly placed his digits on the wall, slowly climbing up onto the wall with Sunset. This time, both of them made sure not to make too much noise as they scaled the walls.
They make it to the top floor through an open, broken window. Luckily none of the goons heard them coming in and kept climbing until they reached the ceiling.
Both wall-crawlers looked down to find where their friends were being held captive. "Do you see them anywhere?" Eternal asked quietly.
“Not yet, it’s too dark to- Wait, over there…” Sunset whispered as she pointed towards two figures that were huddled together and were being guarded by two more guards, one with a shotgun and another with a rifle. They both had bags over their heads so she couldn’t see their faces. “I can’t see their faces. We’ll need to get closer to help them.”
"How? If we get too close, they'll spot us and likely shoot all of us. Unless you have some sort plan to subdue them," Eternal whispered.
“Wait,” Sunset said as she reached in her back pocket and took out a few coins. “I still have some change from lunch earlier.”
"Coins, how are we-- oh wait, wait, I think I get it now. I trust you," Eternal said in realization. Sunset nodded to his support before tossing some of her coins to a corner of the warehouse at a bunch of barrels, making loud, hollow clunking sounds, alerting the goons.
"Hey, what was that?" Goon #1 asked.
"Dunno. Somebody go and check it out!" Goon #2 commanded.
"On it.” The goons that were guarding the two people were the first to leave, allowing Sunset and Eternal to crawl on the walls and onto the floor. They stayed hidden in the shadows and walked over to the bodies that were tied up. When they got closer, they saw that it was Twilight and Heat Blitz that was tied together. They could recognize their clothes, but they couldn’t see their faces since they had bags covering them.
"Guys, are you okay?” Sunset whispered, getting Twilight’s attention.
“Eternal, sunset, is that you guys?” Twilight whispered in a scared voice. “What are you guys doing here?”
"Shh… it is. Listen, we're gonna get you guys outta here soon," Eternal whispered back. "Heat, are you alright?" he asked, but got no response. "Heat?" Again… no response. "Heat, what's the matter?" he asked one more time before peeking under the bag.
“Oh god, what happened to him?” Sunset said in shock.
“It was after we were jumped by those creeps,” Twilight added. “Heat tried to defend me and they hit him in the face and back of the head with one of their weapons. After that, they dragged us here and we were tied up, said we’d be taken care of after the were done with their deal.”
". . .They. . .did. . .what?" Eternal whispered, clenching his fists. "Oh, those bastards are gonna pay for what they did to my brother."
"Slow down, Eternal, let's think this through.” Sunset said, trying to hold him back. “Lashing out in anger will just get you killed. Not to mention that you might get your brother seriously injured. He’s still unconscious.”
Though he wanted to blow his top off, he knew getting angry wouldn't help. Eternal sighed and nodded at Sunset. "You're right. So how do we plan to get them out of here?”
“First, let’s cut them out of their ropes,” Sunset said as she unsheathed her talons, cutting the ropes that had them bound to a large crate. A light snip, she cut the ropes and Twilight could finally move her hands and she knelt to her boyfriend.
“Okay, if we can knock out those two we can sneak away,” Sunset mentioned as she pointed towards the two thugs that were guarding the other entrance to the abandoned building.
“But what about my laptop?” Twilight asked.
“It’s still outside when we entered through the roof,” Sunset mentioned. “Can you be able to carry him?”
“Only over my shoulder, but I can,” Twilight mentioned.
“Okay, soon as we get out of here, we’re calling your brother,” Sunset added.
"And if some of them come after you, either keep going or find someplace safe to hide until the police come," Eternal said.
“Shouldn’t we all try to get out of here?” Sunset said as she looked at Eternal with worry in her eyes… and of course, Eternal nodded.
"Alright. We came here together and we'll leave together." Eternal whispered. With complete agreement, they help Twilight up while carrying Heat Blitz. The two sneak towards the main entrance/exit of the warehouse, making it outside, only to be spotted by the two guards.
"H-He--" one of the guards tried to say. But Sunset jumped and did a double split kick, knocking both of them out. But one of the guards unconsciously fired his weapon, alerting all the others.
"Hey! What the?!" one of the goons shouted. Just then… they noticed that the two hostages they had were now gone.
"The hostages are gone! How’d they get loose?” Another goon yelled.
“I don’t care how they got loose damnit! Find them!" another goon called out. No sooner than he did, a rush of multiple footsteps could be heard. This was their chance to escape.
“Oh crap!” Sunset yelled
“Shit, Run!” Eternal followed up before they bolted at full speed. Sunset and Eternal helped with Heat Blitz who was still unconscious and were still leading them away.
“Damn, bastards are gaining,” Sunset said as she looked behind her to see the group slowly catching up.
"We have no choice, we'll have to set Twilight and Heat down someplace safe. Then we'll take care of the goons!" Eternal replied.
“Hey there's your car,” Sunset said, pointing at the blue vehicle.
"Good eye, babe!" Eternal replied. They managed to get to their car and helped Twilight and Heat Blitz into the vehicle.
“Stay here, and keep your heads down till we get back okay?” Sunset told them.
“What're you going to do?” Twilight asked as the group of 16 goons soon arrived.
"Serve up a whole sandwich dinner platter… tonight's flavor… knuckle sandwich!" he snarled, clenching his fists. Soon afterwards, the goons surrounded the car, and had their weapons drawn on them.
“You caused us a lot of trouble butting in on our business,” The head good said stepping between the other goons.
"And you made the biggest mistake of taking a couple of minors hostage! And in the middle of their high school projects. Didn't your mothers ever teach you to wait your turns?" Eternal quipped angrily.
“Who's the slut next to you?” one of the guys called out making Sunset blush and get angry at the same time.
“Excuse me!?” She yelled, stomping one of her feet onto the floor
"You realize that you’re all surrounded right?” he boasted. Why don’t you make this easy on us and turn yourselves in, before things get ugly?”
"More goons… more pleasure for me to take out my anger… especially after you called my girlfriend a "slut," as you put it… and BEATING UP ON A KID!!!" Eternal shouted.
"The feeling's mutual. No one calls me a slut and gets away with it! Especially not a group of limp dicks like you crusty old freaks," Sunset said with a scary smile on her face, cracking her knuckles in addition.
As most of the goons cocked their guns, Sunset and Eternal leaped into action and started fighting them off one by one. Some of the goons shot their weapons at the couple, but missed every shot with their evasive maneuvers. Sunset grabbed one of the goons, then drop kicked him in the groin, punched him in the gut, then the chin, knocking him out… along with a few teeth loose.
Eternal, on the other hand, knocked a few of them out and left them with bloody noses and mouths, even twitching from the hard blows.
"How the hell are these two freaks beating us?!" goon #1 asked in frustration.
"Just keep shooting, you idiot!!!" goon #2 shouted, firing his pistol.
Goon #1 went after Sunset with his crowbar and took a swing at her, but she dodged with a backflip and swept his feet, then kicked him in the ribs. He grunted in pain, hitting the hard ground with an audible thud. She jumped at Goon #2 and latched around his neck with her legs and did a backwards somersault, slamming him into the ground and knocking him out.
“You fucking bastards are really starting to piss me of,” one of htem yelled as they took out an assault rifle and aimed at directly at Sunset and Eternal.
“Oh crap!” Sunset eeped, seeing the weapons trained on her and her boyfriend.
"GANG WAY!!!" Eternal shouted. The goon then pulled the trigger and a spray of bullets was aimed at them. Both of them dodged out of the way and the bullets ended up shooting the car. Twilight screamed as she kept her head down as gunfire whizzed passed her and her boyfriend Heat Blitz.
“Twilight! Heat Blitz!” Sunset shouted, as she glared at the one guy who fired at them. “Are you insa-!” She didn’t get to finish what was going to say when she saw the barrel of the gun that was still hot with the magazine that was just fired from it.
“You cost us a big day you bitch,” he threatened. “You cost us our cash, you invade our territory, and make a mockery of our gang, now you’re gonna pay for it.”
“Sunset!” Eternal yelled as he tried to get closer, only for the guy to cock his gun in Sunset face.
“Make a move, her face will have a new hole,” he threatened, making Eternal back off.
"You… fucking… son of a bitch, I OUGHTA--" Eternal said.
"No! Eternal! It's not worth it!" she cut him off, then turned to her captor. "Look, maybe we can work something out… like… a payment plan. I'll do anything to resolve this… anything!"
The goon was annoyed but looked at Sunset, mainly at her rather large chest. Just then, the guy got this creepy smile on his face. "Anything?"
Sunset found where his eyes were directed and gave a disgusted sigh. "Yes… anything."
"Don't… you… dare!" Eternal threatened, glaring.
"You're in no position to bargain, so shut the fuck up!" the goon said, pointing his gun at Eternal before pointing it back at Sunset. "Now… on the subject of your… deal. I'll gladly let you go free if you… flash your tits… and live the rest of your life as our personal fuck toy… or at least until you're too old."
Just then, Eternal got so mad that without even realizing it, he spun a web at the goon's weapon, surprising both him and Eternal. He didn't know how it happened, but without even thinking, he tried yanking on the web line to get it off, but ultimately disarmed the goon. Sunset was flabbergasted at first, but took this chance to sock the goon in the face, making him fall to the ground hard, knocked out.
“Sexist asshole,” she grumbled to herself as she joined her lover. “How did you do that?”
"I… I don't even know myself!" Eternal replied, still shocked as he looked at his wrist, seeing a small strand of webbing on his wrist. But then he shook his head when he realized… "But that's not important! We have to check on Twilight and Heat to see if they're okay!"
“Oh right,” Sunset said as they checked on the car, that was now riddled with bullet holes. Even having a broken window and windshield. “You think your mom and aunt will notice the damage?”
"Not a chance, even if they were paid to not notice. But telling them the truth about how there's a hole in the window… I propose there'll be an… 85% certainty they'll go easy on us," Eternal said before gulping.
“Twilight, Heat Blitz, are you okay?” Sunset asked as she looked inside.
“Sunset, Eternal,”Twilight said with a smile. “That is one experience I never want to go through ever again.I’m glad you’re at least okay though.”
“Ugh… wha… where am I?' Heat asked as he got up. "Wait… why are we in the car?"
"We… got jumped earlier and you were knocked out. Does… does it hurt anywhere, Heat? Are you bleeding anywhere?" Twilight asked, checking his body.
“Other than head trauma, a bruised eye and ego, no I’m fine,” he said but he then noticed sparks from behind her. “Isn’t that your laptop?” Twilight heard his words and looked behind her.
“Ah, my laptop! Our project!” she freaked out and began having a panic attack seeing all of her work destroyed thanks to one bad night. “All that work flushed down the drain!”
“Guys I’m so sorry, had I not suggested to come out here, none of this would’ve happened,” Sunset told them.
“What the hell happened to our car?” Heat Blitz added, not noticing the damaged windshield, windows, and bullet holes in the car.
"Gang attack. We were followed. Twilight, is your laptop hard drive still operational?" Sunset asked, hoping to at least help her out a bit.
"Uh… I don't know," Twilight replied, looking at her busted up laptop.
"Alright, well look, we'll have a look at your laptop when we get home. In the meantime… I'm gonna make a call," Sunset replied before getting out her cell phone and dialing the police. “We should probably get you a paramedic as well Heat, we don’t know what kind of damage you took from that blow to the head.”
Within minutes after the call was made, the authorities arrived with multiple patrol vehicles to arrest the goons and confiscated their drugs and the large wad of cash… with marked bills. The paramedics also came by to check on Heat's condition. It came as no surprise that Celestia and Luna came by after the cops alerted them about the incident. Needless to say when they saw what happened and heard about what happened, they were furious. Not necessarily about the car, since Celestia had plenty of insurance saved on the car. They were mostly furious at Eternal for not watching his brother close enough to prevent his hostage situation from happening and possibly scarred him for life.
"I'm sorry, okay! If I had known there was gonna be a drug deal taking place, I never would've brought him here! The place looked empty enough and I did say we would keep a close watch on them!" Eternal tried to argue.
“And what about Twilight and Heat Blitz?” Celestia yelled “they were in the car when it got riddled with bullets, and you weren’t there!!”
"If I started the engine, they'd box us in and we'd ALL be swiss cheese! Do you have any idea how limited our choices were? This was the only choice we had left! We either fought them off or take a one-way trip to heaven! And I'm NOT ready to die just yet!" Eternal argued back.
"Celestia, please understand! We did our best to make sure none of us got killed, especially Twilight and Heat and they're still alive! Yes, we should've looked out for them better, but we didn't know their school project would be on the same date as the drug deal! If we'd known or looked better, we would've left the place right away!" Sunset added. Celestia opened her mouth to say something, but didn’t speak. She was still pretty frustrated at the fact of what happened tonight, but she was happy that her sons and their lovers were safe. She let out a sigh and looked at him.
“I know, I just don’t want to lose either of you. After what happened to their father, I… I couldn't live with myself if my own flesh and blood suffered the same fate as he did. I'm… sorry… but worrying about your safety is part of being a mother. But the important thing now… is that you're all safe." she replied, unable to hold her tears back before hugging Eternal. Yes, even Sunset was included. “I want you to live a happy life but situations like this always make me worry about the both of you.”
“We know mom,” Eternal added, hugging his mother back. “Sorry for scaring you like that.”
“It’s okay,” she added. Around this time, Shining armor walked over to everyone.
“Is everyone alright?” Shining armor asked, checking on the group.
“We’re fine,” Sunset replied.
“I’m glad, I’ll be taking over from here,” he added. He then turned to Twilight who was still distraught about her ruined laptop. “Twilight are you alright?”
"I'm fine… but Heat and I can kiss our project goodbye now that my laptop's kaput! All that hard work for nothing," Twilight sulked.
"No need to worry, Twily. I can take care of that for you. This way, you'll have an excuse for why your project is late," Shining said, offering to take her laptop.
"Uh… you sure? Because, I'm not sure if my teachers'll believe me," Twilight said, nervously.
"I can cover for you, Twilight. Maybe permit your teacher to give you an extension on your project
“Thank you Principal Celestia,” Twilight said as she turned towards the paramedics that were taking Heat into the ambulance. He had some bandages around his forehead that covered his left eye as well. “Is Heat Blitz gonna be alright?”
“The paramedics said that he took a nasty hit, but he doesn’ have any internal injuries,” Shining explained. “He should be fine after a few days.”
“Thank you Shining,” Celestia said. “I’ve also called a tow truck to pick up our car, we can take our car back home.”
“That’s good to hear,” Twilight said as she hoped for the best for him.
"Alright then. You guys be safe out there and make sure not get jumped by anymore of those nasty freaks on the way home. Would you like me to have a police car parked outside in case you're suddenly followed?" Shining asked.
“That would be nice,” Celestia added.
"Got it," Shining nodded. He turned to the cops then whistled for their attention. "Hey, I'm gonna need one of you guys to watch the family overnight in case more suspects follow them. Anyone who's available, give them a police escort." Two officers walked forward and gave Shining the salute to aid them. "Good. Now you're all taken care of. Take care now."
"Thank you, Shining. You've done so much for us, we really appreciate it,"
“Hey, long as you’re taking care of my sister, you’re all good friends to me,” he added with a friendly smile. Celestia smiled happily before she, her sister. The girls and her boys all climb into her other car and then drive back to her home. Alongside them, the police officers followed close behind. Let's hope that tonight, they can sleep peacefully and avoid anymore action than they can handle.
