//-------------------------------------------------------// Awoken -by Undead Equestrian Writer- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Awoken //-------------------------------------------------------// Awoken The soft sound of water dripping onto stone echoed throughout the cave, as Zel carefully crawled her way through the tight tunnels of the cave. Her fur was matted to her stomach and back, as she felt rocks dig into her skin, but she had to keep moving, for she had finally found his resting place. The amount of energy and magick flowing past her made her head spin, and nethers burn. The cave began to widen, letting Zel move forward a bit quicker, as she ignored the many spiders and cave bugs that were checking her hooves in curiosity. Her body was sore, weak, and tired, but finally, as she crawled forward, she saw it. The large golden tomb of the creator of all Ponykind, large inscriptions in old ponish, and depictions of the god confirmed it. This was Alphalos' tomb, and Zel was going to be the one to bring about the end of the Equestrian diarchy and see the rise of the kingdom of Alphalos, just as the prophecy made by the creator predicted. "One believer will awaken the god, and act as his guide," Zel recited the old prophecy to herself as she carefully examined the tomb. "And the god will rise to smite the nonbelievers, and take back what was rightfully his." Zel smiled softly as she gently touched the top of the tomb, the magick resinating out of the tomb burnt her hoof, the pain sizzling her skin as she pushed the lid off with one strong heave. The lid to the tomb fell off, landing with a loud bang, as the cave shook from the impact. Zel peered inside the tomb and saw him, Alphalos, just as described by ancient Equestrians. Zel's heart raced as she opened her pack and pulled out a single branch of Lavender, and placed it beside Alphalos' head, and after a second of praying to him, the god took in a deep breath as he awoke from his slumber. He breathed in deeply, his lungs burning with the need to breathe like he had been underwater for years. He laid back down as the feeling of relief flowed over him. "U-Um... m-m lord?" A soft yet obvious voice hit his ears. Alphalos slowly opened his, the darkness of the cave illuminated by the single torch that the mare staring down at him held. "C-Can you hear me, my lord?" Alphalos looked at the mare, a look of intrigue on his face as he studied her features. She had light blue fur, beautiful golden eyes, and a lovely flowing mane of autumn orange that looked like leaves in the fall. Alphalos slowly sat up and stepped out of the tomb, wanting to see more of this mare who enraptured him so. The mare's eyes widened as she stared up at the seven-foot-tall alicorn before her. His body wasn't frail or thin like that of Celestia's or Luna's, making his appearance even more alluring and menacing. His coat was a pure white, and his mane was a dark black. His eyes never seemed to stay the same color as she kept glancing into both of them. Alphalos was also admiring the mare, who was several feet shorter than her. The mare shook her head out of admiring her god and quickly bowed before him. "My lord, I have come to awaken you as you prophecized, I will be your guide and help you reclaim control of the world you created," the mare spoke softly yet directly, she wanted to get her point across. "World that I created?" Alphalos asked, his voice sounding unsure, as the dripping of water punctuated his question. "Who am I, miss?" "You're Alphalos, the creator of Eques and all living races," the mare remained bowing as she spoke, not wishing to show any form of insult to her god. "Alphalos... and creator of all living races," Alphalos repeated softly as he looked back to the tomb, reading the old ponish with ease. While not exactly perfect, the tomb held enough details about Alphalos that he could piece together bits and pieces. With a soft sigh, Alphalos dropped his head. "I don't remember anything." My mind was racing, trying desperately to think of anything, about who I was, where I was, or what I had done. Why was I asleep in a tomb, and for how long. I raised my head, looking to the mare. "What is your name?" I ask the mare softly. This mare seemed to know a lot about me, maybe she could help me. "My name is Zela, I have no family name, everyone I know calls me Zel," the mare spoke quickly and precisely, answering my question without any hesitation. She was still bowing, and her legs were shaking from the strain of remaining in a bowing position. "Stand up, you don't need to bow for so long," I told her, and quickly she stood up, letting out a soft and barely audible sigh. "Zela, is what you said true, that you will be my guide?" "Of course, my lord, I would do anything if you asked," Zel let out a soft blush, before shaking the thoughts out of her head. "Will you help me recover my memory?" I asked her and received a quick nod. I smile, as I kept trying to replay any memory I had. "Where are we?" "We are currently inside a cave which is on the side of a mountain," Zela told me, as she approached the slim passageway leading back to the outside world. I stared at the slim opening, then down at my own frame. "Come here," I instructed Zela, who quickly moved over towards me, getting as close to me as she could. Her body brushed against my leg as I felt her heartbeat travel up my leg. Her heart was racing, and being close to me was making it speed up. I ignored the feeling of her heartbeat, as I stared at the wall with the small passageway, and my horn slowly began glowing, the color of my magic being a changing hue of colors. I put a hoof in front of Zel and fired the charged beam at the wall. The energy in the room made small pebbles with iron or nickel float around me as a beam about the size of me was blown into the wall, the entire room filling with a blinding yellow. I slowly charged the beam down and saw that before me was a long tunnel that stretched onwards, before ending at a bright blue sky. Smoke wisped off the melted edges of the rock. "There we go." I looked down at Zel, who was staring at the massive hole in awe. Her body shook softly in excitement, as I began to move forward, images of me using my power against Celestia and Luna, the Mane Six, and even Discord filled her mind, and every fight she imaged ended with me winning, as it should have been. Zel smiled like a madmare, before rushing after me, ready to serve me anything I pleased. Author's Note I don't even know if this is good
