As they all reach to the finish line, Spitfire flies over to Rainbow Dash. ''Well, Rainbow Crash. I got to say, your techniques have really improved over time.'' Rainbow Dash was stargazed in excitement, ''that was the most nice thing you have ever said to me.'' ''Yeah,'' she said. ''Well, don't take the compliment too far or else you will be ahead of me,'' Spitfire winks at Rainbow Dash and flies down to rest with the other wonderbolts. In the meanwhile, Rainbow Dash goes inside the locker room to get a towel from her locker and wipe her sweat of her sweat. ''Well, I got to say, that has been a tiring training.'' Surprise is doing a massage on Fleet Foot. ''Tell me about it: Spitfire's shouting skills need to go to volume 15. I mean who is she? Princess Luna?'' Rainbow Dash chuckles. Spitfire walks in the room saying, ''I heard that.'' Rainbow Dash shuts her locker closed and sees Soarin next to her. ''Oh,'' she uttered. ''Hey, Soarin. What's up?'' ''Hey, Dash. I'm just chilling,'' he responded. ''Right.'' Rainbow Dash rolled her eyes in boredom. ''Soarin lost for words, isn't that a surprise?'' exclaimed Spitfire. Surprise laughs. Misty Fly comes in, ''when is the SoarinDash ship going to sail?'' ''Soar-what ship?'' questioned Rainbow Dash. Soarin blushed hard, ''shut it, Spitfire. At least I don't shout at ponies for no reason.'' ''Damn...'' said Fleetfoot. ''Whatever.'' Spitfire wears her sunglasses and blows through her whistle, ''GO OUT THERE AND GIVE ME 500 LAPS, EVERYPONY. GO, GO, GO!'' Spitfire blows her whistle in Soarin's ears again. ''Are you kidding me?'' Rainbow Dash gusted. After the 500 laps of flying, Rainbow Dash goes back to her locker and gets her towel to wipe her sweaty face. Soarin comes walking in and say, ''why is she our captain?'' Soarin sighs over to his locker. Rainbow Dash replies, ''I know right. She wasn't that bad at first.'' FLASHBACK At the wonderbolt academy, all of the wonderbolt reserves stand in one straight line to wait for Spitfire's service. Spitfire scatters around them, ''looky what we got here. Bet you all think you are wonderbolt material, don't ya?'' ''YES, MA'AM!'' ''Think you got what it takes to be an elite flyer?'' ''YES, MA'AM!'' ''Well, then. Let me be the first to tell ya.'' Spitfire points at a pony, ''YOU DON'T! If you have what it takes to be an elite flyer, you would already be a wonderbolt.'' Spitfire faces a pony in the eye to watching their legs shake, ''still think your something special?'' The pony stuttingly says, ''no, ma'am.'' BACK TO THE PRESENT ''Okay, I change my mind. She was scary and that's saying something from me,'' said Rainbow Dash as she let out a slight chuckle afterwards. Soarin responds, ''yeah, I remember when I was first new to the wonderbolts.'' Surprise comes walking in with Misty Fly saying, ''yeah, to when you first clipped your wing and earned your nickname, Clipper.'' Misty Fly laughs. Misty Fly says, ''so is this the time where Soarin finally admits his feelings to...'' Misty Fly was suddenly caught off by a baby blue coloured hoof in her mouth. ''Oh, so we are being a bit feisty, are we?'' said Soarin. Misty Fly spits out his hoof. Rainbow Dash scratches her scalp, ''what feelings?'' Surprise was about to say something until Soarin pushes her and Misty Fly out of the room. Soarin takes a deep breath and finally lets a word out of his mouth but still stutters, ''Rainbow, I- well, you see...'' Rainbow Dash looks at the time. ''Oh, look at the time. I really need to get going to Rarity's sleepover. We will have to talk later.'' Rainbow Dash zooms out of the door. ''BUT!'' Soarin sighs, ''never mind.'' Spitfire comes in with Misty Fly and Surprise. ''Way to go, nutcracker.'' Apple Jack shutters, ''where is that Rainbow Dash at? She's leaving us here as cold as a timberwolves toenail.'' All of a sudden, a rainbow maned pony zooms out of nowhere. ''Hey, guys. Sorry I'm late but I got caught up with somepony.'' Pinkie Pie jumps up and down. ''OOOH! WHO WAS IT? WHO WAS IT?'' ''Pinkie, darling, please sit down and rest. It's been a long day, aren't you tired?'' asked Rarity. Pinkie Pie chuckles. ''Oh, I never get tired.'' ''Yeah. We figured that out years ago,'' said Rainbow Dash. ''So, RD. Who were ya talking to that made ya late?'' questioned Apple Jack. Rainbow Dash responds, ''Soarin, like I don't get that guy. Every time he speaks with me, he stutters or never say a word. It's almost like Fluttershy but even shy.'' ''Sounds like Marble Pie,'' Apple Jack adjusted. ''HEY!'' Pinkie Pie yells. Rarity gasps, ''Rainbow Dash, do you know what this could mean?'' ''No,'' she uttered. ''What?'' Twilight gets out Rarity's romance books. ''Well, judging by many romance novels I have read from. It says that this is a symptom of ENDEARMENT.'' Pinkie Pie lets out twinkles in her eyes and gasp, ''ENDEARMENT!'' Pinkie Pie exclaims. ''Wait, what's en... de... ah... meant...?'' ''It means love, Pinkie,'' Twilight indicated. Rainbow Dash shouts, ''WHAT? You are crazy, I mean how would you know about love, Twi.'' Rainbow Dash does a disgusted facial expression, ''no one would love an egghead.'' Rarity calms Rainbow Dash down by combing her mane after a long day of training, ''Rainbow Dash, calm down. Let's now do our...'' Rarity cheerfully exclaims, ''FACIAL MASKS!'' As Rarity finishes doing Twilight's facial mask and puts cucumbers on her eyes, she did the same with Spike, Pinkie Pie and herself. Fluttershy only had two dots on both of her cheeks. Apple Jack rubbed her face and ate the cucumbers. Rainbow Dash was being stubborn so Rarity gave up on forcing to put a facial mask on her. ''I don't get y'all. What is so good about this fancy-nancy-smhancy masks,'' said Apple Jack. Rarity rolled her eyes. ''To reduce the puffiness of your eyes, of course.'' Pinkie Pie does puppy eyes, ''can we play truth or dare now?'' Twilight sighs aloud, ''fine.'' Whilst Pinkie Pie jumps in the sky with Spike and they both yell with moustaches, ''YAY!'' As everypony got comfortable, Pinkie Pie started the game. ''Dashie,'' she said. ''Truth or dare.'' ''You already know what I pick,'' Rainbow Dash folds her hooves while flapping her wings, ''dare.'' Twilight dares Rainbow Dash, ''I dare you to make Rarity do a facial mask on you and wear a dress.'' Twilight smirks at her. ''OH, HECK NO!'' Rainbow Dash yells. ''It's a dare, Dashie.'' Rarity smudges the facial cream all over her face. ''YUCK!'' exclaimed Rainbow Dash. Rarity pops two cucumbers on both of her eyes. She then uses her magic to grab one of her dresses from the mannequins and puts it on Rainbow Dash. ''PERFECT!'' said Rarity. Rainbow Dash scowls and takes off the dress and kicks it under Rarity's bed. She eats her cucumbers and wipes her face with her hooves. ''Finally, truth or dare, Pinkie Pie,'' said Rainbow Dash. Pinkie Pie responds with, ''truth.'' ''Boring, thought you would be brave and pick dare. That's oddly out of character for you, Pink. But anyways, is it true that...'' Fluttershy finishes, ''...you have a crush on Cheese Sandwich?'' Pinkie Pie flirtingly sighs and pulls out a picture from her mane. It was a picture of a yellow stallion with brown curly mane, wearing a yellow t-shirt. Everypony, including Spike all peak over her head to see and they all gasp. ''Well, what do ya know? He is the perfect stallion for ya,'' said Apple Jack. Pinkie Pie's blush fades away. ''Okay, truth or dare, Fluttershy.'' Fluttershy squeals, ''truth...'' ''Is it true you love Discord?'' asked Rainbow Dash while smirking at her which made her blush. ''UH, HAH! I KNEW IT! I SEE THAT BLUSH COMING THROUGH,'' Rainbow Dash exclaims. ''Well, it makes sense,'' said Twilight. Rainbow Dash smirks at Twilight. ''Truth or dare, Twi?'' Twilight responds with, ''truth.'' Rainbow Dash gusted, ''what is with you all?'' Rainbow Dash rolls her eyes, ''choosing truth all the time.'' Apple Jack rolled her eyes. ''Just get with the game, RD.'' ''Fine.'' Rainbow Dash rolled her eyes. ''Is it true that you have a crush on that guard in the Crystal Empire, Flash Sentry?'' Twilight blushes hard and mutters, ''I- what... no...'' Twilight exclaims, ''do YOU love Soarin?'' ''I- what... HEY! This isn't your turn and I never said truth and you never replied... well, properly.'' Suddenly, a knock on the door occurs. ''I'll get that,'' said Apple Jack going outside of the bedroom to open the door. As Apple Jack opens the door, she finds a letter lying on the doorstep. She gets back inside the room. ''Uhm, Rarity. There is a letter and...'' Rarity snatches the letter off her hooves by her magic, ''it is from... Rainbow Dash?'' ''Huh? Why would my mail be delivered to you?'' ''Well, why don't you open it and see, silly,'' said Pinkie Pie with a smile. As Rainbow Dash opens the letter, she reads through it. Twilight wondered, ''what does it say?'' Rainbow Dash answers, ''it is... a date?'' Spike spits out his water. Pinkie Pie copies and get a glass of water to sip and spill it out. ''Who is it from?'' asked Fluttershy. ''Well, it doesn't say. It only says the location, time and when it is going to occur.'' Rarity gasps, ''you have a secret admirer!'' ''Secret-holly-molly-roca-molly-what?'' ''A secret admirer, but who do you think it is?'' asked Twilight. ''I never gotten asked out on a date before,'' said Rainbow Dash. Twilight scans through the paper. ''Oooh! I love this pony's typography design.'' ''typo-golical-tropical-what?'' ''Oh. It's just a type of handwriting.'' ''Okay...'' ''Well, I will have to make a beautiful dress for you if you want this first date to be the best ever.'' Rarity thinks to herself, ''now where is this date located exactly? Because style depends on it's location.'' Rainbow Dash reads through the paper again, ''it says it is at The Tasty Treat as he did go there before and the food was exquisite.'' ''Oooh!'' Pinkie Pie stargazes, ''that is the restaurant Rarity and I helped improve to make it the best restaurant in Canterlot.'' ''He did the right pick!'' Rarity gasps, ''he must be really posh!'' ''But I sort of wished it was a wonderbolt...'' Rainbow Dash blocked her mouth with her hoof, ''I MEAN...'' Twilight looked at her with a smirk. ''So is this the time where our little Dashie finally confesses her true feelings about Soarin?'' Twilight gives a slight chuckle. ''Ugh, shut up. I don't like him and he doesn't like me but at least I'm brave enough to confess.'' She flinches her eyebrow at Twilight. ''I'M FINISHED!'' Rarity yelled. ''Now come on, darling. Wear it.'' Rainbow Dash wears the dress, ''it's...'' Rarity mumbles, ''let me guess: you think the dress is too itchy or frilly or...'' ''AWESOME!'' Rarity smiled. ''Well, I'm glad you like it!'' Spike yawns and falls asleep on the ground. Whereas, Twilight lifts him up with her magic and puts him inside his sleeping bag. Fluttershy announces, ''alright, everypony. We better get to sleep now, after all it has been a long day today.'' Pinkie Pie pats Fluttershy on the head. ''Oh. Don't worry, your sweet little auntie Pinkie Pie never gets tired.'' ''I'm a year older than you,'' Fluttershy said quietly as Pinkie Pie goes to sleep. The rest goes to sleep, including Fluttershy. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 2: The First Date //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 2: The First Date The next morning, the whole of the mane six are still sleeping, except... Rarity. Rarity shouts to wake everypony up. ''WAKEY WAKEY, MY LITTLE DARLINGS!'' Spike rolled his sleeping bag. Pinkie Pie jumps to the ceiling and come backs down. 'RARITY! I AM SUPPOSED TO DO THAT!'' Pinkie shouted. Twilight yells, ''BANANAS!'' Twilight wakes up fully with an embarrassed look upon her face. Apple Jack respond, ''what is all the ruckus?'' Pinkie Pie replies, ''I would say it is more a fracas than a ruckus.'' Apple Jack rolled her eyes. Fluttershy wakes up and yawns. ''Good morning, everypony.'' The only pony that was sleeping was Rainbow Dash, the pony that was going to be the most important on this day. ''WAAAAAAKEEEEEE... UUUUUUPPPPPP!!!'' Pinkie Pie roared to wake her up. Rainbow Dash and her sleeping bag fizz up in the air and come back down. ''What in Equestia was that about, Pink?'' Apple Jack responded for her, ''don't you know what today is?'' Rainbow Dash plugs cotton wool inside her ears and goes back to sleep. ''It is the day where I sleep all day.'' Twilight uses her magic to get the cotton wool out of her ears. ''It is your first date.'' ''And not just any first date. But a date with somepony you have loved for many years now,'' said Rarity. ''Soarin.'' Rainbow Dash flies up to the ceiling, ''WHAT?'' Rainbow Dash clears her throat, ''I mean...'' ''You don't have to pretend anymore, Dash,'' said Apple Jack. ''Now go and brush your teeth so you can wear your beautiful dress to your first date ever with your very special future soulmate.'' Rainbow Dash gusted, ''you know you are annoying.'' Everypony flinches their eyebrows at her. ''What? Okay, okay, I will get ready.'' Rainbow Dash rolled her eyes. As she brushed her teeth and showered, Rarity brushed her mane and made her wear the dress she had created the other night. ''Oh, darling. You look like a rainbow princess in that grown, which reminds me...'' ''It is pretty awesome but Rarity, please no more. I don't need anything or else I will be overdressed,'' said Rainbow Dash. ''Don't worry about that, darling. I'm just going to do a mane style on you and add this barrette I have had sitting in my drawer doing nothing. So I'm going to let you keep this.'' ''Aw, Rarity. You didn't have to.'' ''It's fine, darling. I have so many.'' ''Well, thank you for your generosity,'' Rainbow stops and think, ''yuck. I have gotten a lot sappy ever since I got that letter.'' Rarity lets out a posh chuckle. The train arrives and they all get abroad. Pinkie Pie shouts all throughout the tunnel. ''YAY! TODAY IS THE DAY WHERE ONE OF MY BESTFRIENDS GO ON THEIR FIRST DATE!'' Rainbow Dash blushed hard, ''Pinkie Pie...'' Twilight laughs. Discord teleports inside the train. ''DID SOMEPONY SAY DATE?'' ''Discord!'' Fluttershy hugs him. ''What are you doing here?'' ''Well,'' Discord wears his glasses. ''I heard that my good dear, DASHIE...'' Discord picks up Rainbow Dash and hugs her tight, ''...is going on date so I'm here to ask...'' He lets her go, ''can I help...?'' He does puppy eyes at her. ''No. Absolutely not. You will just make it chaotic.'' ''Oh, please. I promise I won't.'' ''No.'' Discord mumbles, ''fine... party... pooper...'' He spits out, ''ponies...'' Pinkie Pie lands her face on the window to see they have reached at Canterlot. ''Hey, everypony. We are here and oooh, not many ponies are out today.'' ''Well,'' said Rarity. ''That is unusual.'' The train stops and they all get off. Spike kisses the ground as he gets off the train with the others, ''home sweet home.'' Twilight rolled her eyes. ''Come on, we have to drop Rainbow to her date.'' She blushes. As they arrive at the restaurant, they meet a baby blue colt pegasus with a ironed suit. Rainbow Dash was more thrilled than ever to go on a date with him. ''Well, Rainbow. You got lucky,'' Apple Jack winked at her. Rainbow Dash grudges and trots off towards the baby blue pegasus. ''Hi, Soarin!'' The baby blue pegasus replied, ''oh, Rainbow. I'm really glad you came, I didn't think you would.'' He scratches his neck. ''You know, because you are not the lovey-dovey type.'' ''Don't sweat it. I heard this restaurant is awesome!'' Soarin looks at her, ''and I'm really thrilled for this date.'' ''Sweet!'' He opens the door for her, ''shall we?'' He points his hoof out for her to grab it. She takes her hoof and put it on top of his. ''Okay,'' she smiled. As they got in, the waiter comes towards them with a notepad. ''Good evening, I am your waiter for the day. Is it just the two of you?'' Soarin replied with, ''yes, it is just the two of us.'' ''Well, then. A table of two will be booked for you, have seat over here.'' The waiter points out a table in front of her. As they both sat down, Rarity comes in the restaurant. The waiter respond, ''Rarity? Is that you? Oh, it has been so long.'' Rarity hushes her down, ''shhh. You don't happen to book a table for a rainbow maned pegasus with a baby blue stallion?'' ''Oh, yes. They are right over there.'' ' 'Thank you,'' said Rarity. As Rarity pulls out a chair for her to sit, Discord comes popping in. ''HELLO!'' Rarity got frightened and shrieked. She whispered. ''Discord, what are you doing here? Can't you see I'm observing Rainbow Dash's date to make sure everything goes as plan and smoothly.'' Discord replied, ''I'm sorry, my dear. Can I help? Please?'' He holds up a puppy, squishing her cheeks. Rarity gusted, ''ugh, fine. But please be quiet.'' Discord picks up Rarity and yells, ''HOORAY!'' Rainbow Dash questioned, ''who was that?'' Soarin shrugs his shoulders. The waiter comes by, ''is everything okay?'' Rarity whispers. ''Oh, yes. That was just my... friend.'' Rarity coughs, ''I would love a big bowl of curry so it covers our faces from them.'' Rarity gestured towards the rainbow maned pegasus and the baby blue stallion. ''STAT!'' she yelled. The waiter said, ''yes, ma'am.'' She stomps the bowl onto the table. Anyways, now back to Rainbow Dash and Soarin. The waiter comes towards them again and asks for their order. Rainbow Dash replies, ''I would like a curried oatcake and a glass sandwich that has been mandated overnight in a mustard dressing.'' Soarin responds, ''do you have any pies?'' The waiter looks at him. ''No? Okay, I'll just have the finest vegetable soup here.'' The waiter trots away to the kitchen. Soarin then stares at Rainbow Dash with hearts around his head. ''What?'' exclaimed Rainbow Dash. ''Huh?'' Soarin shook his head. ''Uh, what? Nothing.'' Rarity slams her face on the curry bowl and mumbles to herself, ''she has to be flirty not mean...'' Discord popped a light bulb in his head. ''I got it! Wait right here.'' He teleports away somewhere he can think straight. The waiter comes along with the food to Rainbow Dash's and Soarin's table. You could hear Rainbow Dash's tummy rumbling. ''Oh, sorry. I haven't eaten all day.'' The waiter trots away after saying, ''that is okay.'' Rainbow Dash smashes her whole face on the food. Rarity was looking disgusted, ''and no manners in front of her date. This surely is going to be THE... WORST... DATE... EVER... Until she saw Soarin chuckling and dived right in his food to match her. What am I doing? You know terribly well the most awesome flyer in Equestia would never like you. You should stop trying. He thought to himself. This is such an awkward moment. How do I light up this mood? Should I just walk away? She thought to herself. Soon after that, they both look at each other gracefully. There was a long silence between their eye contact. It was Rainbow Dash who broke the silence. ''So,'' she hissed. ''You got any new moves to try out for wonderbolt training?'' He muttered, ''uh... yeah. I'm thinking of to do something that matches my special talent.'' He looks at his cutie mark. It was a yellow lightning bolt with two wings popping out. He thinks to himself, What are you saying, dude? Your talent isn't anything special like a rainboom. Rainbow Dash responded, ''cool! Maybe after dinner, we can go out and fly for awhile.'' She thinks to himself, What? What am I doing being all romantic and lovey-dovey. I'm Rainbow Dash and I'm awesome. He raises his eyebrows at her which symbolised, ''really? You are not normally lovey-dovey.'' ''I meant to practise our flying tricks.'' She smiled. They both laugh at each other. ''I don't know why we are both shy towards each other. I mean we are...'' A voice in his head appears and says, friends. He said, ''...friends.'' ''Yeah, like I'm supposed to be the most confident and awesome flyer in the wonderbolts.'' She said confidently. ''You really are an incredible flyer,'' he smiled at her. ''Well, I'm full.'' She drops her utensils on the table. ''Come on. Let's go flying in the clouds.'' Rarity said, ''well, looks like my work here is done.'' Discord materializes in front of the white unicorn. ''OH, COME ON!'' //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 3: Night Flying //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 3: Night Flying It was a beautiful and a dazzling night in the clouds. It looked all peaceful for Rainbow Dash's first ever date. There was owl's hooting, stars twinkling but of course the moon wasn't set yet. The clouds were in perfect shape and position. The nocturnal weather ponies sure did a fine job on the sky. As Rainbow Dash and Soarin flew through the beautiful night sky, Soarin tried to light up the mood by asking her many questions to get to know her more. Although, they have known each other for many years. ''This night is really beautiful tonight, don't you think?'' asked Soarin. Rainbow Dash responded, ''I guess so. Princess Luna's night is way awesome than Princess Celestia's day. I don't get why she felt jealous of her over one thousand years ago. PLUS! She also gets to guide dreams. How cool is that?'' ''Yeah, that is truly amazing and impressive,'' said Soarin. ''Hey, that looks like a comfortable cloud for me to sleep for the night and watch the moon set,'' Rainbow Dash gestured at the cloud she was talking about. ''This was really great, Soarin. I really enjoyed spending the day with you, I hope we can carry on with this more often.'' And soon after that, Rainbow Dash gave Soarin a quick lingering kiss on the lips and flew up to the comfortable and luxurious cloud. As she landed on the cloud, a light blue stallion landed right beside her. Her face turned hot pink like Pinkie Pie. The light blue stallion then responded with a question, ''so what time do you go to sleep?'' The rainbow maned mare answered with, ''oh, I don't normally go to sleep in the night. I take naps in the day, I am sort of a nocturnal pony. What about you?'' Soarin tilted his head, ''I sleep through the...'' Soarin couldn't continue as he heard a loud snore. It was Rainbow Dash sleeping right beside him. Oh, so that is when you go to sleep. Soarin smiled at her and wrapped his wing around her and went to sleep next to her. What was that? There was two pegasuses under the cloud, eavesdropping. Why, it is Surprise and Misty Fly, laughing. Misty Fly hushes Surprise down so they don't wake up Soarin and Rainbow Dash. ''The ship has finally sailed,'' said Misty Fly. Surprise chuckled quietly to not wake them up. They soon leave them two alone and head off as they were getting sleepy. In the morning, Soarin wakes up and yawns. ''What a dream, Rainbow Dash and I sleeping with each other and...'' Soarin looks at the rainbow maned pegasus sleeping right next to him. He smiled and shook her to wake up. ''Wakey, wakey, Dashie.'' Rainbow Dash wakes up and yawns. ''Soarin...? What are you doing here in my cloud bed...?'' Soarin chuckles. ''We were looking at the moonrise, remember? You fell asleep.'' ''I did?'' She yawned, ''I'm sorry.'' Soarin chuckles. ''No worries.'' Rainbow Dash gets up. ''Well, I am going to go to Sugar Cube Corner to have my breakfast.'' Soarin adds, ''I will come along.'' Rainbow Dash turns around and say, ''what?'' Soarin sweated and turned red like a tomato. ''I mean, nothing.'' He flies off until Rainbow exclaims. ''Wit!'' He turns around to face her. ''I didn't say you can't come, I would like some company.'' She blushed. What am I doing? She said to herself. 'Well,'' Soarin smiled. ''Let's go then.'' They fly down to Ponyville to go to Sugar Cube Corner. It happened to turn into a race. ''I WON!'' yelled Rainbow Dash. ''No, I won!'' yelled Soarin. ''No, I won!'' yelled Rainbow Dash. They both laughed. ''Come on. Let's go in,'' said Rainbow Dash. As they go in, Rainbow Dash taps on the bell on the donut showcase counter. Mrs Cake then comes in front of it. ''Oh,'' she chuckles. ''Hello, deary. Is there anything you want me to do?'' she asked. Soarin exclaimed with, ''I would like that giant rainbow blueberry pie!'' He gestured at the pie. Rainbow Dash added, ''and I would just have some chocolate donuts and some milk with it.'' ''Here you go,'' said Mrs Cake. ''Enjoy!'' They both sat down at a table to enjoy their breakfast. Soarin puts his all face in the pie and gobbles everything down. Rainbow Dash hysterically laughs. Soarin puts on a confused expression upon his face. She stopped laughing. ''You remind me of...'' She stopped and think back when she lied to Pinkie Pie about her liking pies. ''Never mind,'' she said. Pinkie Pie, Apple Jack and Fluttershy eavesdrop on them from outside, looking from the side of the door. Soarin brings up a question. ''So, do you have a crush on anypony?'' he asked. Rainbow Dash replied, ''oh, come on. You know me. Crushes for me are lame.'' ''Right. Like I haven't heard that from you.'' ''Okay... What about you? Do you have a crush on anypony? What about Spitfire?'' ''No,'' he uttered. ''I don't have a crush on anypony, especially Spitfire.'' ''Are you okay, Soarin? You are not quite acting like yourself...'' He slams his hooves on the table. ''Oh, you want to know why I'm not acting like myself?'' Rainbow Dash was confused. ''Bro, calm down. I just said...'' ''Whatever.'' He flies off outside the door. ''Wait,'' Rainbow Dash tries to go outside until Pinkie Pie pins her down to the ground. Apple Jack ties her down with her rope. Fluttershy starts the conversation with, ''why would you do that?'' ''Do what?'' she asked. Fluttershy looks at Apple Jack and Pinkie Pie. ''Look, hun.'' Apple Jack continues, ''we saw the whole thing that has happened and what we witnessed was something we didn't think would come from somepony like you.'' ''What are you talking about?'' Fluttershy says, ''you had heartbroken him that is why he was acting differently towards you. He does have a crush, you. Or else, he wouldn't of asked you out on a date yesterday. But when you said crushes are lame to you, what YOU said was lame.'' ''And...'' Pinkie Pie jumps on Rainbow Dash. ''Listen up, Dashie. You heartbroken him and now you have to apologise. He sacrifices everything for you and now you have to do the same to him. You have to fight for your relat... I mean, friendship with him.'' Pinkie Pie gets off her and takes off the rope on her. Rainbow Dash stands up and sighs. ''Fine.'' Pinkie Pie yells, ''THAT IS THE SPIRIT!'' Rainbow Dash flies out the door. Apple Jack takes off her hat and puts it on top of Fluttershy's head for act of assertiveness. Pinkie Pie exclaims, ''Hey! I did something too and I always wanted to wear your hat.'' Her face tilts down to the floor and becomes into a pensive facial expression. Apple Jack rolls her eyes and puts her hoof in the air just like how Apple Bloom does with her friends. Fluttershy and Pinkie Pie does the same. As Soarin arrives at the wonderbolts academy, he goes inside to the locker room. He opens up his locker and bangs his head to the ceiling of the locker because of Surprise. ''HOW WAS YOUR DATE WITH DASH?'' Misty Fly exclaimed, ''we saw that you slept with her. Any dirty nights you thinking of doing with her?'' Fleetfoot shouts out her name. ''Go away,'' he said. ''Excuse me?'' everypony mimics over each other. ''Just answer our question and be honest with us: are you two dating or not?'' asked Fleetfoot. ''I am telling you the truth, we are not dating,'' he sneered. ''Apparently, crushes are too lame for her.'' Rainbow Dash crashes through the door and calls out his name. ''SOARIN! I am... oh, wait.'' Misty Fly pushes the other two out the door along with herself, ''we will just get out of here.'' As the door gets shut closed, Rainbow Dash looks at Soarin. Soarin asks her, ''what are you doing here? I thought crushes were too lame for you.'' Rainbow Dash responds, ''Soarin, listen to me. Whatever I said, I didn't mean it. I didn't know you had crush on me and... I'm stupid, okay? You asked me out on a date, tried to impress me and sacrifice everything for me and I saw none of that. I'm blind but what I am saying is...'' Rainbow Dash looks down on the ground and back at his emerald eyes. ''I... Love... You... Too...'' Soarin was flabbergasted. ''You... what? You mean it? But I thought you aren't lovey-dovey.'' Rainbow Dash took a deep breath. ''I know I am not but I hate to see you heartbroken and upset. And no, I did not just say that just to spare your feelings. I say that because for all the things we have been through together, all the fun times, heroic moments, I gained feelings for you too.'' Soarin grabs her by the waist and gives her a long lingering kiss. He closed his eyes and so did Rainbow Dash. They both enjoyed the moment. A long eternity later, Rainbow Dash pushes away and chuckles. ''Okay, that's enough. We better get going with our practise.'' Before she heads out the door, she gives him a quick kiss. Soarin felt dizzy and fell on the spot. During the practise, they were having a competition on who is the most fastest of them all. Of course it is Rainbow Dash, the most confident pegasus in all of Equestia and has a talent for doing the incredible rainboom. That was once indicated as a legend only. Until, she proved it and got her cutie mark. You know the rest... Now, enough of Rainbow Dash. Let's see where Soarin is at. Soarin flies at a high-speed to catch up with Rainbow Dash. In the meanwhile, as he does, he ponders to himself about: Does she really love me? She has never said 'I love you' to anypony. Is she really ready to date? I mean she is pretty immature if I say so myself. Suddenly, a raspy voice calls out for his name. He notices that he is nearly at the finish line. He strongly flaps his wings to go rapidly to the finish line. As he does, he lands on a rainbow maned pegasus and they both fell down. He blushes. The rest of the wonderbolts passes the finish line as well. ''Way to go, Romeo.'' Spitfire crossed her hooves, still flapping her wings to stay in the air. ''So does this mean the ship has finally sailed? You guys made up?'' said Misty Fly. Rainbow Dash blushed and got off of the cloud. ''What are you talking about?'' Everypony smirks at Soarin, ''so?'' Soarin sighs and looks at Rainbow Dash. She replied for him, ''none of your business.''
