The Forgotten God
Chapter 1 - Just Dropping In
Load Full StoryNext Chapter“I always knew you were weak. That’s why I choose you to be the one in charge of my “little art project” as you so call it. But it seems you have grown a bit too attached to these animals.” The tall suited man ran a hand through his greying hair and let out a sigh. “And now you have taken everything and just scattered it all to hell knows where. Do you know what happens to people who disappoint me?” He snapped his fingers and several armed men came to his side. “Send him to the meat shop.”
With that several men walked over to the man in the lab coat with the sole intent to main. He however was not so keen on this idea so he quickly slammed his hand into the power cell and let the electricity run freely throughout the room. The men screamed in pain as the pure intensity of the electricity fried them alive. The tall man stepped back and looked on as the man before him stood unharmed.
“I see you've been holding out on me. I wonder what else you have around here that you've been neglecting to put in your reports.” He looked over at a box named “Amalgamation project”. Without a second though he injected it into himself and began to convulse.
“No stop, it's not finished yet.” But despite the man’s best effort the suited man just smiled.
“I can feel. Reality itself bending around. It’s calling my name!” He then took the rest of the syringes and injected himself with one after the other. His body convulsed more, bones began to break, his flesh began to become more animal-like. Before the man in the lab coat could finish seeing what happened to him a circle made of light appeared at his feet. He couldn’t even react before he fell through and disappeared.
The man on floor no longer existed, all that remained was a mix match of different animals fused together.
“I can feel it! The world, the stars will all bend to my will! Such beautiful mathematics, such beautiful screams, such beautiful chaos!”
-5,000 years later-
Twilight’s POV
Oh I just can’t help it! I woke up today with a smile on my face and it just won’t go away. I mean can you blame me? Me and all my best friends are going to the Grand Galloping Gala! I even got a ticket for Robert from Princess Celestia so that he could go too. I think he might need it more than any one of us. It has been nearly 3 months since he arrived in Equestria and the Princesses still don’t have a clue on how to get him back home.
It has been a slow process but I think we might be finally breaking that shell of his. When we first met him we weren’t sure what he was, and he was so scared of what we were. He actually thought we were going to eat him! We still tease him a bit about that one. He had a pretty rough start when he got here. Snapping at anyone near him to actually kicking a pony quite a few feet! Luckily they didn’t seem to want to press charges.
Since then he has learned to control his anger and now he just gives ponies death glares. It’s not great but it is a start, and I feel like pushing him into a more social area will help him open up more. The girls will also be there to help him if he needs anything throughout the night. Speaking of the girls, I should go over and check up on them to make sure that they are getting ready for the Gala.
-5 hours later-
“Ugggg, are you girls ready yet we have to get going soon.” Spike groaned as he sat at the door to the girls dressing room.
“Almost ready~” Rarity said in her singsong voice through the door.
“You’ve been saying that for hours.” Robert retorted, although he was far less patient then Spike.
Rarity tittered at this. “Now what have I told you about rush beauty?” The last word being dramaticized by the fashionista. All this did was make him roll his eyes at the statement. This making Spike speak up.
“You can’t rush beauty.” This little stab at him got a death glare in return. This however is the preferred response for him. He wouldn’t want to end up like Dazzler. He still got shivers up his spine at just the thought up seeing a unicorn fly.
“Yes you can, and you better do it now. We need to be there by seven.” Just as Robert was about to say anything further the door made a click sound and finally opened revealing the girls in their dresses.
“Well what do you think?” Rarity asked as she flipped her curls about.
“Absolutely radiant.” Robert looked down at the baby dragon with stars in his eyes and then proceeded to look unamused.
“Yeah Robert, tell us how you feel about our dresses. Don’t leave any details out.” Rainbow Dash then started raising her eyebrows up and down giving Robert a half lidded look.
“You all look fine, let's go.” He then quickly walked over to the carriage that had been waiting for them.
-Robert’s POV-
God dammit Rainbow! Stop trying to put thoughts into my brain. It’s wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong. It’s not right to think about a horse like that. Even if that dress does make her look pretty se- NO! Uggggg. I need to make sure to sit upfront with Spike and not in the carriage. Only god knows what excuses she would create this time.
“Oh no there doesn’t seem to be much room in here. Guess we have to sit extra close throughout the ride.” he shivers. He knows that she’s been dropping hints for a few weeks now. She is a nice mare and all but every time he even begins to think about it he remembers what the people back home would say. He has to steel himself and resist her, and before he knows it he’ll be going back home and all this will be just a bad dream.
“Alright everybody in? Good let’s go.” I signal the ponies in the front and they start pulling away to our destination.
-Twilight’s POV-
As we ride in the carriage we notice that Rainbow looks a bit dejected. Rarity was the first to her aid.
“Now darling don’t be too hard on yourself.”
“But I’ve been trying to get his attention for weeks now and he doesn’t seem to notice.” Rainbow let out a huff of frustration.
“Now I wouldn’t exactly say it has been going unnoticed.” This got quite a few raised eyebrows. I asked her.
“What do you mean by that?”
“Come on Twilight didn’t you see how fast he turned and walked away? He was trying to hide it but I have a trained eye for seeing when a colt is trying to hide a blush.” This seemed to give Rainbow a new rush of hope.
“Do you really think so?”
“Oh I know so. I think that he’s just shy. But with the right push he’ll be putty in your hooves.”
“Yeah! I’ll get him. I’ll get him so good that he won’t be able to resist just how awesome I am. For I’m the great Rainbow Dash!” she said the last part a bit too loudly and the boys on the outside heard.
“That’s great Rainbow, we’re almost there so get ready.” This sent a blush onto Rainbow’s faces and we couldn’t help but laugh.
-At the Gala-
The grand palace, a place that even though Twilight has seen this place hundreds of times throughout her childhood. She is still taken aback at just the size of it alone. She looks over at her friends and sees the same look in their eyes too. Even Robert seems to be impressed, he doesn’t show it well but he is impressed. A short whistle get’s their attention.
“Wow this sure is something. You sure I was allowed to come here?”
“Well of course you were. Why wouldn’t you be?”
“Well it’s just. I’ve never been to anything nearly this nice, and I just don’t feel like I belong here.” Rainbow then came up to his side and nuzzled his leg.
“Don’t worry about a thing hotshot. If anypony even thinks about giving you trouble then you just need to look for me and I’ll give them the good old one two.” This put a small smile on Robert’s face as he looked down at Rainbow Dash.
“Thanks, I really needed that.” Twilight then got in front of everyone and began speaking.
“Ok everypony. Let’s not waste anymore time. Let’s split up and go have the night of our lives!” Everyone cheered at that and Robert gave a half hearted first pump and a weak.
“Yeah.”
With that they all split up in hopes to make this the greatest night of their lives. Robert, with no real reason like the girls he just started to wander around hoping that something interesting would happen.
-2 hours later (Robert’s POV)-
Well this is just boring. I’ve been wandering around for a couple hours now with nothing interesting even happening. I ate some good food, got strange looks from the nobles. Besides that nothing to really note down. I should go see how the other girls are doing, hopefully they are better or this whole thing is just a bust for me. I looked around and I spotted the girls, they looked wrecked. I could help myself as I came up to them grinning like an idiot.
“Bwahaha! Oh what happened to you guys? In fact, where is everyone? I could have sworn there were more here.” This made Fluttershy go red in the face.
“I-don’t want to talk about it.” This just made him laugh all the harder. It was then they all heard the ding of glass being done by none other than Princess Celestia herself with her sister Princess Luna right by her side.
“Attention everypony! I would like to thank you all for coming to this year's Grand Galloping Gala.” This got a round of applause for her. “And even though we had some- minor inconveniences, I'm sure that everypony will look back on this night fondly.” This made Robert one again look back at the mares now completely avoiding eye contact with him. “And finally I-” Before she could finish what she was saying a small magical ring appeared next to her.
We all looked on in worry at this new object but before anyone could say anything a human popped out from it. He fell to the ground and quickly got up and looked at his surroundings. He wore a pair of jeans and a t-shirt reading; “Sucks To Suck I Guess”, but most importantly he was wearing a big white lab coat. He then looked straight at Celestia, then to her glass, and took it in mid air. He sniffed the glass, nodded his head and looked at the crowd.
“Cheers to being alive!” He gulped down the drink in one go and threw the glass to the ground with a shattering crash. “WHOOOO!” He lifted both hands in the air and fell backwards on the ground. He was out cold.
Everyone just looked on at the unconscious human that just appeared out of nowhere. For a while no one spoke, then Luna made all hell break loose.
“Sister you said this was just going to be a boring event for those whiny nobles. But this.” she pointed at the body. “This is very entertaining.” She took one solid sip of her glass and threw it to the ground. “SISTER WE WANT MORE!” she boomed in her royal Canterlot voice making the whole crowd burst into a panic and leave.
When the crowd finally stopped it was just us, the princesses, and the royal guard left. It was all just really awkward how silent everything was. Celestia, seeming to be the only one who wasn’t lost in a trance, ordered her guards to take the new human to the medical wing and have him checked. It was when he was carried out of sight that Spike got off the seat he was on.
“Welp I uh- I know a good donut shop down the street soooo. I’m just going to go there if anyone wants to join me.” His pitter patter of feet was followed by six sets of hooves as they made their way out the door. At the donut shop the girls just kept going on about how this had to be the strangest night of their lives.
“Hey there hotshot. You a- haven’t really said anything for awhile now. Kinda getting worried.” What could I say? All I could possibly ever say to them was.
“I’m not the only human in Equestria.”
