Prologue: The Strange Mechanical Owl
Twilight’s Prologue:
Meanwhile, in Equestria, everypony was sleeping soundly, all but one, Princess Twilight Sparkle. Twilight groaned as she was having a nightmare, seeing everypony fighting and hating each other, like the beginning of Hearth's Warming Eve, except there were no wendigos, no snow, no ice, but seeing a silhouette of a giant mechanical owl as the cause of the hatred. But then the nightmares went away as Princess Luna appeared. Twilight had no idea how the fighting was happening, peaking Luna’s curiosity and concern.
"Princess Twilight, how did you have this nightmare?" Luna asked.
"I don’t know, I have no idea!" Twilight answered. "But I think it’s something important. Could you let your sister know about this?"
"Indeed I will. It would seem you and your friends are needed somewhere. Sleep well." Said Luna.
"Thank you, Princess Luna." Thanked Twilight.
Later, in the morning, Twilight told Spike about her dream.
"That sounds bad, like, really bad." Spike said scarcely.
"I know! I just hope that Princess Celestia will know what we’re supposed to do about this." Twilight said as she hoped for a message.
Then all of a sudden, Spike burped out a flame, materializing into a message.
"Looks like she figured it out. Ahem…" Spike said as he began to read the letter.
Dear Princess Twilight Sparkle,
My sister has told me of your dream. It is of the utmost importance that you come with your friends to me and we will discuss what to do about this predicament.
Your faithful teacher,
Princess Celestia
"That’s all there is." Spike said as he finished reading.
"C’mon Spike! Let’s get the girls!" Twilight urged.
"With you all the way Twilight!" Spike said being her #1 assistant.
And Twilight and Spike gathered the rest of the Elements of Harmony, Raptor, Soulfire and Makoto, and went to Canterlot to meet up Celestia.
"As much as it is good to see you, Twilight, your dream was a vision of a dark future, not just in Equestria, but our entire universe." Celestia said with concern.
"So there’s a bad guy we need to beat up, huh?" Rainbow Dash guessed.
"Sounds just about it, pardner." Applejack confirmed.
"Count us in!" Raptor sai d with confidence.
"We’ll do what we can to help." Soulfire assured Princess Celestia.
"We might find a way to help me and Soulfire return home while at it." Makoto said, filling herself and her brother, Soulfire with confidence.
"Oh… I hope we can keep that vision from coming true." Fluttershy said with worry.
"Yes, that possible future sounds downright dreadful!" Rarity agreed.
"So… How are we gonna stop it from happening? By going to another world where our otherworldly friends live, and stop some bad pieces of a robot monster from coming together?" Pinkie guessed, causing everypony in the room stared at her, confused.
"What makes you say that?" Twilight asked.
"Just a hunch. [Squee!]" Pinkie responded with a squee.
Then all of a sudden, a bolt of lightning struck the room, summoning a portal.
"It would seem the problem would be on the other side of that portal. I wish all of you the best of luck." Celestia said as she hoped that her friends will be okay when they return.
"Okay!" The mane 6, Spike, Raptor, Soulfire, and Makoto said in unison
One by one, the mane 6, Raptor, Spike, Soulfire and Makoto went into the portal.
"I hope this won’t be scary." Fluttershy said scared.
"I hope they have excellent fashion!" Rarity said being the fashionista she is.
"I hope where we’re going is gonna be awesome!" Rainbow Dash said being quite the adventurer.
"Agreed, Dash!" Raptor agreed.
"Let’s go." Soulfire declared.
"We can do this!" Makoto said confidently being loyal to her friends.
"I hope they have great parties!" Pinkie said being the party animal as ever.
"I just hope we’ll have some familiar help." Applejack said hoping to see Chameleo and his friends again.
"C’mon, Twilight!" Spike urged Twilight.
"We’ll come back when this is over, Princess Celestia. We won’t let you down." Twilight assured Celestia.
Then when all of the heroes went in, the portal disappeared! Everypony in the portal screamed and yelled as they fell to the other side! They landed on a rooftop, dizzy from the ride in the portal, but they looked different.
"Ugh… Why do I feel like I went through that mirror to the human world? Spike, Raptor, Soulfire, Makoto, girls, are you… Spike, you, look different." Twilight said, seeing different forms.
Spike did look different, he looked like himself, but a little taller, and wearing a few clothes.
"I know, so do you!" Spike said, pointing out Twilight's appearance.
Twilight looked at her hoofs, but they were hands now.
"That explains why I felt like that." Twilight said realizing the strange feeling.
Twilight wasn’t a human, but somehow, was a combination of an Alicorn and a Human. She looked a bit taller than her usual alicorn self, and was wearing the clothes she had in the human world, she still had her muzzle, tail, alicorn horn and wings. She looked around and saw that all of her friends were taller than their pony selves, but shorter than their human counterparts, and have the same hairstyle and wear the same clothes as their human counterparts do, still having their muzzles, tails, wings and horns. The only ones who didn’t change in appearance were Raptor and Soulfire. Makoto reverted into her Beastkin form from her homeworld. The others began to stir.
"I feel strange." Soulfire said.
"Although, I feel something familiar." Makoto said.
"Ouch… I’m gonna feel that in the morning." Raptor moaned.
"Ugh… Anypony got the number of the tornado that hit me?" Rainbow asked.
"Um, Girls?" Fluttershy asked realizing everyone's forms.
"Whoo… That sure was a doozy of a doozy." Pinkie said feeling dizzy.
"I just hope it didn’t ruin my mane." Rarity complained.
"Um, Girls? Could you-?" Fluttershy said trying to get everyone's attention.
"Ooh… I feel like I got pushed through the Flim-Flam Super-Cider Squeezy-6000." Applejack said remembering the Flim-Flam Brothers.
"GIRLS! What’s happened to us!?" Fluttershy said finally getting their attention.
At the response of Fluttershy’s question, the mane 5 and the others looked around and at themselves.
"Whoa! Check us out!" Rainbow Dash said impressed.
"Oh, my goodness!" Rarity said confused.
"What in tarnation?!" AJ asked baffled.
"Ooh! Cool!" Said Pinkie also impressed.
"Wow! I’m back! It’s good to be back in my normal body!" Makoto said happily.
After everyone calmed down, Twilight explained the situation they are currently in right now. Then Twilight helped the mane 5 adapt to their new forms, except Pinkie already got the hang of it. Later, [WHOOOOOOO!] they heard a burglar alarm and police sirens.
"Not good." Soulfire deadpanned
"Sounds like there’s trouble." Makoto said.
"We need to find out what’s going on!" Twilight declared.
"Wow! It’s like we’re in a comic book!" Spike happily said.
"Sounds like somepony needs to get their flank kicked!" RD said.
"What are we waiting for then?!" Raptor rhetorically asked.
"C’mon y’all!" Applejack exclaimed.
"Party time!" Pinkie said.
"I hope nopony gets hurt." Flutters said worried.
"Thieves. Such ruffians!" Rarity deadpanned.
When they got to the scene of the crime, they saw a van drive away, followed by thieves. But one of the thieves looked familiar to Twilight.
"Tch!" Soulfire scowled.
"Darn!" Makoto groaned.
"Oh, horse apples!" Rainbow Dash said.
"Drat! They got away." Raptor scowled.
"Ugh, knots and shoes!" Applejack groaned.
"The ruffians have already escaped." Rarity complained.
"No!" Spike yelled.
"Who was that?" Twilight asked.
"No clue." Pinkie replied.
"Um, girls? Maybe she could help us?" Fluttershy asked as she pointed toward a woman who appeared to be a fox and an officer.
Twilight’s P.O.V.
When Fluttershy pointed toward the police officer, I knew that we could use some help. We went to her and introduced ourselves. The officer’s name was “Inspector Carmelita Montoya Fox.” She told us that dangerous pieces known as the Clockwerk parts, were stolen by the thief known as Sly Cooper, but then another officer came toward us known as “Constable Neyla” and told us that the parts were already stolen by a group called, the Klaww gang, before the Cooper gang got there. The agents of Interpol filled us in on the Clockwerk parts and their history. The description of the parts all together matched the same monster as the one in my dream. So, we offered Carmelita our help, but she said she needed some time to think about it and left. Knowing Rainbow Dash, as impatient for action as she is, we decided to find the Cooper Gang ourselves. After a while, we met up with two old friends of ours, Chameleo and Viper! They were surprised to see us, I couldn’t believe it! We were in his homeworld! We asked for their help to find Sly Cooper and the Clockwerk parts. Chameleo got a call from someone, telling the caller that he found the extra help he and the caller needed in case of heartless showing up. The heartless were here too?! I couldn’t believe it! So Chameleo and Viper took us somewhere, and opened the door to some kind of hideout. He said that it was his, Viper’s and somepony else’s hideout. Then Sly Cooper showed up! Rainbow Dash, Raptor, Soulfire, Makoto, Applejack, Rarity, Pinkie, Fluttershy, Spike and I were shocked, so we started to charge at him! But Chameleo and Viper stopped us and explained the situation. The Cooper Gang wanted to destroy the Clockwerk parts to keep Clockwerk from being reassembled and coming back. Sly asked if we could help him, I wasn’t sure at first, but after Chameleo and the others explained what was going on, we agreed. Something tells me this, is gonna be one heck of an adventure.
Sly Cooper and Chameleo’s Prologue:
Earlier in China, Chameleo and Viper were having a good day, helping others and training hard. When all of a sudden, [RING!!!] his Watch Communicator was going off. He answered it, getting a call from a good friend.
"Hey! Bentley, how’s it going?" Chameleo greeted Bentley.
"Good. But I need you and your other teammates to come to Paris. We need your help to steal and destroy the Clockwerk parts!" Bentley requested Chameleo.
"What?! But, didn’t they get destroyed in the lava at the Krakarov Volcano in Russia?" Chameleo asked completely baffled.
"I’d want to believe so, but they weren’t! We need to make sure that they are destroyed so that Clockwerk won’t come back!" Bentley told Chameleo.
"Okay, I’m on it!" Chameleo said as he ended the call and turned to Viper.
"What’s going on?" Viper asked.
"Time to get the gang, Viper. We’re going to Paris!" Chameleo told Viper.
"So, that monthly Equestria visit with Raptor and Soulfire will have to wait, huh?" Viper asked Chameleo.
"Yeah, I’m sure they’ll understand." Chameleo calmly said.
And so, Chameleo and Viper got Crane, Morrigan, Skylyzi, Vaida, Datozo, Bladefin, Mamota, Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Amy, Cream, Cheese, Big and Vector back together and went off to Paris, to meet up with the Cooper gang at their old Paris hideout. Bentley discussed the plan and the reason for the heist, and the others agreed to help. Later, in the middle of the night, the heist was a go! The Cooper Gang and the others split up into three teams, those who are great at stealth, those who are the brains, and those who are the brawn. Meanwhile with the thieves team, the others made it in and Sly picked up his binoc-u-com.
"Breaker Alpha Foxtrot, this is the Wizard, do you read me, Sitting Duck?" Bentley asked Sly on the Binoc-u-com.
"This is Peking Duck, I hear ya, Blizzard." Sly answered to Bentley on the Binoc-u-com.
"No Sly, I’m 'The Wizard,' and you’re 'Sitting Duck.'" Bentley told Sly on the Binoc-u-com.
"I hear ya loud and clear, Lizard." Sly responded on the Binoc-u-com.
"No, I’m… Forget it. You’re not taking this seriously!" Bentley softley scolded Sly on the Binoc-u-com.
"Yeah, I’m not. Look, Bentley, I know this is your first time on the field, but you’re the only one who needs to loosen up. If we’re going to steal the Clockwerk parts, we need everyone to be on their toes, even you. So, plain talk; what’s your status?" Sly asked Bentley on the Binoc-u-com.
"Well, Crane, Tails, Cream, Cheese, Mamota, Vaida and I have established ourselves in the basement, and I’m pretty sure we can rewire the service elevator if you guys can power it up from that security station." Bentley responded.
"Okay, hang tight buddy. It might take a while, but we’ll get up there." Sly assured Bentley.
Sly took off his binoc-u-com and turned to the members of his squad.
"So Sly, what’s the task?" Chameleo asked Sly.
"We need to get to the security station to power up the service elevator so the brain team can rewire it." Sly answered.
"Let’s do this!" Chameleo exclaimed.
"Okay!" Viper agreed.
"Cool!" Sonic agreed as well.
"Understood." Blade responded.
"Got it!" Morrigan agreed.
And so the thief team got to the security station and powered up the elevator, soon, the brain team was arriving to help the thieves.
"Okay, we’ve spliced the wires… Ow! Hold on. There it is." Bentley said on the Binoc-u-com.
The brain team has arrived, exiting the elevator. Bentley, followed by Tails, went over to the security computer and started to hack it.
"Okay, okay, let us at this security computer!" Bentley exclaimed.
Later, the spotlights shutted down.
"Spotlights are out!" Tails told the thieves.
Then the laser fence disappeared.
"There goes the laser security system. We’re working on the security gate." Bentley assured them.
Then the security gate opened at last.
"Done! The gate’s open now, guys!" Said Tails.
"And to make sure they stay out for a while…" Vaida assured the thieves as she snapped her fingers, causing lightning to strike and shut down the entire security system.
"Thanks, guys. And Bentley, for your first time out, you did pretty well." Sly complimented.
"Oh, this operation is far from finished. Now that the lasers and spotlights are offline, Murray and the rest of the brawns should be moving into position at your rendezvous. Me, and the other members of the brain squad will stay here and keep the security systems offline and provide computer support while you guys go ahead." Bentley said.
While the thieves are heading to their checkpoint, Bentley was keeping the guards busy with a disguised voice through the speaker.
"Uh, attention all guards. This is the network administrator. We're installing some new software into the security mainframe, so don't be alarmed if the systems get turned off for a while. Uh, thank you. You're all doing a great job." Said Bentley in a slightly gruffer voice.
When the thieves got outside…
"According to my information, the Clockwerk parts are being stored up there. Now, to get access, you're going to have to meet up with Murray and the others at the rendezvous point... Unfortunately, the route through the garden is filled with guards." Said Bentley on the Binoc-u-com.
"No problem, Bentley. We’ll take the long way around." Sly said on the Binoc-u-com
And so, Sly and the other thieves went across the rope, tightroping. When they reached the balcony, after a suggestion from Bentley, the brawn team crashed in through the ceiling.
"Murray and the others must’ve gotten lost along the way, Try pushing on ahead without them." Bentley said on the Binoc-u-com.
"THUNDER-FLOP!" Someone yelled.
Murray, Knuckles, Big, Vector, Datozo, and Skylyzi crashed through the ceiling.
"Greetings, citizens, I hope you weren’t harmed by our, meteoriphic entrance." Murray said with care.
"No, Murray, we kept at a safe distance." Sly assured Murray.
"Don’t worry, we’re fine." Chameleo said agreeing with Sly.
"Good, good… The Thunder Flop knows neither friend nor foe, only DESTRUCTION!" Murray exclaimed.
"Yeah, could some of you guys channel some of that ‘raw energy’ into this security gate?" Sly asked.
"Way ahead of you little guys!" Datozo answered.
"You got it!" Vector agreed.
"Okay." Big plainly said.
"Of course, it is nothing before, 'The Murray!'" Murray proclaimed.
Datozo, Big, Vector and Murray lifted up the gate with nothing more than their strength.
"We opened it." Big said.
"Good to go." Vector assured the thieves.
"Don’t worry, the path’s safe." Datozo said.
"Okay, all clear!" Murray exclaimed.
When they got out to the balcony…
"Tch… Guards." Knuckles groaned.
"We’ll take ‘em out." Skylyzi said.
"Another obstacle stands before you… Fear not, for we shall bend it, like the truth!" Murray proclaimed.
Murray, and Knuckles picked up nearby bust and threw them, one of them busting the gate, the other knocking out the guards. Skylyzi flew over to the other side and made sure they stayed down, by tying them to the walls. After that, he flew back to the others.
"Solid work, guys! You’re really in the zone!" Sly complimented
"My hulking frame is too much for that puny rope. You guys go ahead and unlock the doors from the inside. Me and the rest of the brawn team will be waiting in the hallway to help you carry the Clockwerk parts." Murray said.
"Thanks for the help, guys. We’ll take it from here and let you know if we need help." Chameleo assured.
"Okay." Big said.
When the thieves team got to where the Clockwerk parts were, the room was empty.
"I don’t get it, Sly. The Clockwerk parts should be right here. This is all wrong! We need to pull the plug on this operation right now!" Bentley said on the Binoc-u-com.
Then all of a sudden, Enemies jumped out of the two sarcophagi. It was Inspector Fox and someone new.
"Freeze, Cooper!" Carmelita yelled.
"Should’ve seen that coming." Chameleo deapanned.
"What’s going on here? How'd you know we were coming?" Viper asked.
"Inspector Fox… As beautiful and unpredictable as ever." Sly complimented.
"Whereas you crooks are so predictable, you always return to the scene of the crime!" Carmelita claimed.
"What are you talking about?" Sonic asked.
"That’s outrageous!" Amy exclaimed.
"Crime? We haven’t stolen anything… Yet." Sly said.
"Oh really? Then who broke in last night and made off with all the Clockwerk parts? You got the motive."
"WHAT?!" Chameleo, Viper, Sonic, Amy, Blade, and Morrigan said in unison.
"Someone already stole the parts?!" Sly asked completely baffled.
"Don’t play dumb with me." Carmelita claimed.
"It might not have been him, Carmelita. The method of entry and guard casualties all point to this being a Klaww Gang job." The strange policewoman explained.
"The Klaww Gang?" Sly asked.
"Who’re they?" Morrigan thought out loud.
"Don’t sound like good people." Blade said.
"Constable Neyla, I allowed you to sit in on this stakeout as a favor to the Contessa.... I really don't need any help." Carmelita proclaimed.
"Oh, I think you might. Look at the facts." Neyla coolly said.
"Facts?! Sly Cooper is right here! I caught him red-handed." Carmelita rebutted.
"Let’s vamoose outta here." Chameleo whispered.
"Quietly so no one notices us." Viper whispered as well.
"Agreed." Sly whispered back.
Squad Thief began to sneak away.
"I'm just saying that there are criminals in the world other than-" Neyla was saying when Carmelita noticed the thieves escaping.
"Sly Cooper! After him!" Carmelita ordered.
Carmelita chased after the thieves, then the brawn team showed up running alongside the thieves.
"Oh, geez! Wait up, Sly!" Murray said.
"Shake a leg, gang! It’s time to go!" Sly explained.
Then the brain team started following them, trying to escape as well.
"What’s going on?!" Crane asked.
"This wasn’t part of the plan!" Bentley said.
"Guys, we’re gettin’ outta here!" Chameleo answered.
"We’re not leaving anyone behind!" Viper assured the teams.
"Yeah, well, this is where it gets fun!" Sly said joyfully.
When they made it to the end of the hall…
"This is getting a little hot. You guys go warm up the van. We'll keep Carmelita busy." Sly said.
Teams Brawn and Brain left, going to the team van.
"You’re all going to jail!" Carmelita yelled.
"We’ll catch up with you guys at the rendezvous." Chameleo told the other teams.
Later, team thieves got onto the rooftops, getting to the van.
"We’re heading to your position. Jump in fast so we can get outta here!" Bentley said.
Team thieves got into the van, escaping the Interpol.
"I’ll find you, Cooper!" Carmelita yelled.
Later that night, while Chameleo and Viper were out on a recruitment mission, they met some familiar faces.
"I’m glad Bentley sent us on this recruit mission." Chameleo said relieved.
"Me too. Cause we’ll need all the help we can get if the heartless are here." Viper agreed.
"Chameleo? Viper?" A mysterious voice said.
"[Gasp!] Did you hear that?!" Viper asked.
"Yeah! That sounds like…" Chameleo trailed off as he and Viper looked behind them, to see the mane 6, Raptor, Spike, Soulfire and Makoto!
"Guys!" Chameleo and Viper said in unison.
The reunion was sweet and good.
"Whoa! You guys look different!" Chameleo noticed.
"What are you doing here? Did you go through a mirror?" Viper asked.
"No, we went through some kind of portal! I think there’s something wrong with this world that’s gonna affect the entire universe!” Twilight explained.
"That’s bad news!" Viper deadpanned.
"Sorry I didn’t visit this month, I got caught up in a job." Chameleo apologized
"No harm, no foul." Soulfire reassured Chameleo.
"It’s cool." Raptor agreed.
"Still, it’s good to see you!" Makoto said.
"Besides, we need your help with something!" RD told the two heroes.
"What is it?" Viper asked.
"There’s this outlaw known as Sly Cooper, Ah think we need ta stop him!" AJ explained.
"You know, you can help us, and we can help you. Just let me make this call." Chameleo told the others as called Bentley on his universal watch.
"Did you find the help we needed?" Bentley asked on the communicator.
"Yep, we did. And they've fought Heartless before." Chameleo replied.
"Good, then meet us at our hideout!" Bentley instructed Chameleo.
"You got it." Chameleo said as he ended the call.
"We’ll help you find Sly, we’ll even take you to him." Viper told the others.
"Thanks buddies!" Pinkie said.
Viper’s P.O.V.
This was incredible! First, me and my friends became extra members of a master thief team, we traveled across many places in the multiverse, taking on many different forms, and now, our Equestria friends are now in our world! Guess Raptor and his friends are visiting our world instead of us visiting theirs. Their forms, except Raptor’s, were different and looked a bit similar to their human counterparts and Sonic and his friends. Chameleo’s sibling-quality-time sure is gonna be eventful. This is gonna be one heck of an adventure.
Chameleo’s P.O.V.
You got that right, Viper! This is gonna be sweet! We’re gonna have so much fun! Wait, now I’m starting to sound like Pinkie. Ha! That’s funny!
Later, Chameleo and Viper took the mane 6, Spike, Raptor, Soulfire and Makoto to the Cooper Gang’s hideout. Then Sly Cooper showed up.
"So, you pals are the extra help we need?" Sly asked.
This surprise shocked everyone who hasn't met him before, even Pinkie.
"Why you…! I outta press you into jerk cider!" Rainbow yelled.
The mane 6, Spike, Raptor, Soulfire and Makoto started to attack Sly, but Chameleo stopped them.
"Whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa! We’re getting off the wrong foot here!" Chameleo said.
Chameleo explained the situation to the others, and introduced the Cooper Gang to the Mane 6, Spike, Raptor, Soulfire and Makoto. After the introductions…
"If it’s to keep the monster from my nightmare from becoming reality, of course I’ll help." Twilight said.
"This is gonna be so awesome! Like a Daring Do adventure!" Rainbow Dash exclaimed.
"You got that right, sister! We’re gonna enjoy this!" Raptor agreed.
"Agreed, brother. What do you say, Makoto?" Soulfire asked.
"Okay. If being thieves for now helps saving the universe." Makoto answered.
"We’ll do the best we can to help y’all." Applejack assured them.
"Yay." Fluttershy said softly.
"I can help with the disguises." Rarity said.
"This is gonna be so much fun!" Pinkie exclaimed.
"Then what are we waiting for, let’s go!" Spike shouted.
Sly’s P.O.V.
Carmelita's just as angry as ever. She's really quite lovely when she's angry. That Constable Neyla. Was her reference to the Klaww Gang just a slip of the tongue, or an intentional clue? Either way, it's our only lead on the missing Clockwerk parts. Clockwerk. He was consumed with jealousy for the Cooper Clan's thieving reputation. Is it inappropriate to refer to him as a monster? No, not at all. What kind of person stays alive for hundreds of years with the express intention of wiping out a rival's family line? Imagine the hatred fueling that first decision to replace his mortal body with soulless machinery. Ultimately, it did the trick. Clockwerk lived on. He caught up with my parents, and I wound up in an orphanage. It's there that I met my pals, Bentley, the brains of our outfit, and Murray, the brawn. They turned out to be all the family I needed. Two years ago, I thought I'd finished it. How naive to think I could so easily put an end to that kind of hatred. And now he's back. In pieces, sure, but the threat is real. Does the Klaww Gang even realize what they've stolen? I don't know what's in my future, but I won't let it be a repeat of my past. But this time, we won’t be alone. We’ll have help, from our friends!
