One Last Mission
Auntie Laura. Chapter 10.
Previous ChapterThe family of three were enjoying a relaxing breakfast. James had made pancakes for Sunset and Sunrise. He'd wondered if Equestria was like the pony version of Canada. Both his wife and daughter seemed almost Canadian in personality.
Suddenly, the doorbell rang, James walked over to it and opened the door to find Laura standing outside.
"Sunrise, Auntie Laura's here!" James hollered, hoping his daughter would hear him. The statement was ironic. She had super enhanced hearing as he, Laura and Logan did.
Sunrise sped down the stairs as she tightly hugged her aunt.
"Hi, Aunt Laura. It's been a while." Sunrise had looked up to Laura. She'd been a very responsible aunt to Sunrise. She'd helped to raise the girl her entire life. Laura often visited them and also so that she could teach her niece Self-Defense and fighting tactics.
She would often teach the girl using her claws. Unlike what everyone believed, the claws were made of pure bone coated over in Adamantine and Adamantium.
Sunrise let her aunt go. Laura ruffled the girl's hair affectionately as she hugged her brother and her sister-in-law.
"It's good to see you too, kiddo. You've been doing well with your training." Laura smiled affectionately at her niece.
The family of three and Laura sat down at the table for breakfast.
James informed Laura that Charles was now alive once more. Laura had been heartbroken and furious after X-24 had stabbed Charles in the chest with his claws which killed him as he bled out.
After being informed of Charles' location at the newly rebuilt Charles Xavier's School For Gifted Youngsters, she made a note in her mind that she needed to go and visit him.
After Laura had visited James and Sunset in the hospital when she was born, she vowed she would protect her niece with her life. Being an aunt was such a rewarding experience. Sunrise rarely stayed at Laura's place as they didn't want Sunrise going on any dangerous missions just yet. They also didn't want any enemies of theirs and Laura's to try and capture Sunrise.
Laura had inherited her father's love for motorbikes. She had a black Yamaha Supersport motorcycle with gold streaks.
The family finished their breakfast and cleaned up. Laura taught Sunrise more advanced fighting tactics and moves.
Soon, it was time for Laura to go home. She hugged James, Sunset and Sunrise before she left the house. She hopped on her motorcyle and took off.
The family spent the rest of the day together. Eventually it was time for bed. Sunrise had already fallen asleep and was out like a light. Both husband and wife fell asleep after her in their bed.
