Chapter 1: Trek Through The Everfree Forest

Chapter 1: Trek Through The Everfree Forest!

(Michael 1st Person POV)

As I slowly regain consciousness, I can hear the wind rushing past me and birds in the trees, I can feel soft grass under me and the sun radiating heat on my face. I begin to stir and fully gain consciousness, opening my eyes I find I’m in a dark forest with sunlight bleeding through the leaves. “Where am I?” I stand up off the ground and look around, Suddenly fitting music begins playing in my head and the words 'Everfree Forest' show at the top of my vision for a few seconds, “Wasn’t I just in the convention center? And why is Twilight Princess music playing in my head?” I hear a flowing river next to me and walk over to it. “A river, the water looks clean enough to me,” I reach for my pocket to pull out my metal flask I always keep on me only to pull out an [Empty Bottle]. “What the?” I then notice my reflection changed, I look at my reflection and jump back in surprise dropping the bottle, to which the bottle disappears into thin air, I slowly look back at the river to see that my reflection looks exactly like Adult Link from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, it even mimics my movements. “What happened to me?” I stand up and notice my Wooden replicas of the [Master Sword] and [Hylian Sheild] have gotten much heavier. “Did I just get turned into Link?” I then finally notice my voice has changed. “Even my voice has changed... Though I’m glad I’m not mute like in the games.” I look up at the sky to see that the sun is setting and decide to start a campfire to stay safe. After a few minutes of finding sticks and tree bark for a small fire, I was ready to start a fire. “Ok got the wood set up now to test a theory,” I put one hand behind my back under my shield and the other above my shoulder like grabbing an arrow, think of the fairy bow and fire arrows, grab the air, and pull out said [Fairy bow] and a [Fire arrow]. “That’s so freakin cool,” I aim the [Fairy bow] at my pile of wood and shoot the [Fire Arrow] at it lighting the Campfire. “Alright, with that taken care of it’s time to relax and take things slow,” I put away the bow and sit next to the fire to think.

(3rd Person POV)

After a few minutes, Michael starts to hear laughing and chuckling from a little far away, “Huh?” He stands up and draws the [Master Sword] and [Hylian Shield], “Who's there!?” The laughing stops.

“Did anypony just hear that?” one of the voices asked, nothing was said for a moment, “Um... Hello? Did somepony just say something?” Michael puts out his campfire, sheaths the Sword and Shield, and walks in the direction of the voices.

“Yeah I said something, I just woke up in this forest do you know where I am?” Michael walks through some bushes, The other voices gasp.

“Somepony got lost in the Everfree, we should help them.” a Gentle voice says quietly. Michael gets close to the voices but suddenly they hear what sounds like crying towards the river.

“What was that?” Michael looks back toward the river which the current has become violent, he doesn’t want to investigate but the Triforce of courage, which he doesn’t notice, makes him want to investigate anyway. “Meet me at the river, someone’s in distress,” Michael moves back toward the river to find out who’s crying and about what. After a bit of walking, he finds a purple sea serpent with half an orange mustache ripped off.

“What a world, what a world,” the Serpent hits the water causing a big splash.

“Excuse me, Sir, what’s wrong? Is there anything I can do to help?” Michael says to him, the serpent stops crying and looks at the man,

“Well I don’t know, I was just sitting here, minding my own business, when this tacky little cloud of purple smoke just whizzed past me and tore half of my beloved mustache clean off,” The serpent leans in close to show the damage. “And now I look simply horrid!” He dramatically falls into the river on his back splashing water all over Michael, soaking him.

“I understand completely,” The Serpent stops and looks at the wet Human turned Hylian, “I once had a luxurious beard that hung below my neck, It was bright red and made me look like a Ginger king, but when I came here it was taken from me, never to be seen again.” Michael clenches his fist in anger, “If I ever see the man that brought me here I’ll make him pay,” He calms down and looks at the serpent, “I wish I could help but all I can do I play you a soothing melody to calm your nerves,” The serpent thinks then nods, Michael pulls out the [Ocarina of Time] and plays the Song of Healing and the Song itself starts magically playing, The song finishes and it does indeed calm the Serpent down, but only until the other people he heard arrive, they’re 6 girls with strange coloring, tails, hooves, horns, and wings. This piques Michael’s interest but, when the serpent sees the others he looks at his ripped mustache and starts to cry again making everyone pay attention to him.

“Excuse me, Mr. Serpent, what’s wrong?” The Magenta furred, Purple-Haired one asks but, the serpent hides his face away from the girls, “If you don’t tell us we won’t be able to help you,” Michael speaks up crossing his arms and looking at the serpent,

“A 'tackey' purple cloud of smoke flew past him and cut off half his glorious mustache and now he thinks he looks hideous,” He says with a sad face, prompting the Cyan furred, Rainbow-haired one to scoff,

“Oh give me a break,” She pauses, “That’s what all the crying’s about?” This prompts the White furred, Purplish blue-haired one to rush in front of her.

“Why of course it is,” She walks closer to the river, “How can you be so insensitive,” He stops covering his face and looks back at the girls, “Oh, just look at him, such lovely luminescent scales,” He leans on the shore like he’s at a desk, “Your expertly coiffed mane,” He nods and runs a hand through his hair. “Your fabulous manicure,” He smiles and shows off his rounded nails, “All ruined without your beautiful mustache,” He regains his sad look, nods, and sniffles. “I simply cannot let such a crime against fabulosity go uncorrected!” She grabs one of his scales and rips it off.

“Oww, what did you do that for?” She doesn’t answer as she cuts off her tail making her friends gasp, She tosses the scale away and her horn lights up, her tail floats up and fashions itself to his ripped mustache giving it a half hot half cold look, The serpent gasps, “Oh! My wonderful mustache is revived!” She smiles at the serpent and the Magenta girl walks up behind her.

“Oh, Rarity, your beautiful tail,” She seems sad about ‘Rarity’ losing most of her tail, ‘Rarity’ responds aptly,

“It’s fine my dear, short tails are in this season, besides,” She pauses and looks at her tail, “It’ll grow back,” They all look toward the now calm river,

the Magenta girl gasps, “Hey, we can cross the river now,” she starts walking across the waist-high river but the serpent raises his body like a bridge.

“Allow me, as thanks for returning my Mustache to its former glory,” He looks at Michael, “You too kind sir, that song you played was very relaxing,” Michael thought about it for a second, nodded, and crossed the river with the girls. On the other side of the river, The girls were about to continue on their journey but they hear a loud thump behind them and look to see the man that played the music to the serpent, they then decided to introduce themselves to him.

“Hello sir, my name is Twilight Sparkle, thanks for helping with that sea serpent,” Twilight smiles, then the Rainbow one steps forward,

“Sup the name’s Rainbow Dash, Fastest flier in all of Equestria and future Wonderbolt!” She boasts, The white one steps forward,

“My name is Rarity Belle, thank you for helping with the fabulous sea serpent Darling,” She smiles and an Orange furred, Yellow-haired girl with a Cowboy hat steps forward,

“Howdy, Name’s Applejack, I run Sweet Apple Acres with my family back in Ponyville,” She tips her hat and a shy Yellow furred, Pink-haired girl slowly steps up,

“Hi, I’m Flutterhy...” Michael raises an eyebrow but understands her, Then the Pink one bounces around saying this too fast for anyone to understand. After what felt like a few minutes, Twilight stops the Pink girl and she talks normally,

“Hi, I’m Pinkie Pie, Do you like cake, do you like parties, when’s your birthday, what’s your name?” She says that in one breath somehow. Michael thinks for a moment then clears his throat,

“Hello, my name is Michael, but you can call me Link, I do not like cake very much, I do like parties, and my birthday’s in March,” Pinkie deflated for a second after he said he didn’t like cake that much, but after saying he liked parties she reinflated. “Can I follow you guys? I don’t know my way around this place and I really don’t want to get lost,” Twilight nods,

“Sure Link, we’re just on our way to The ancient castle of the two sisters to find the Elements of Harmony,” Twilight and the girls start walking and Michael follows close behind.

Chapter 2: Nightmare Showdown

=== A few days after Nightmare Moon’s Defeat… ===

Michael is sitting in the Golden Oaks Library, he hears a strange beeping sound, “Hey Twilight,” She pokes her head out of the Kitchen, “Do you hear a small beeping noise kind of like a timer dinging when it’s done?” She comes out of the Kitchen carrying a Cooking book and listens closely to the surroundings.

“The only thing I hear is Spike making Pancakes and the ponies outside,” She sits down across from Michael and sets down the book, but keeps reading it.

“It’s so strange, it sounds so annoying, and yet, I don’t know what it is,” He looks around the room and finds nothing beeping, then it hits him, the beeping is his health meter, “Wait a minute…” Twilight tears her sight from the cooking book and looks at him, “I know what that sound is…” He stands up and looks all over the room attempting to find his ‘Hud’ only to find nothing.

“Link, what are you looking for?” Twilight asks, Spike finishes the pancakes and walks out of the kitchen, places three plates of delicious pancakes, and sits at the table, “Thanks Spike, Link, have a seat, Spike makes really delicious pancakes,” She digs in.

“Alright, I’ll look for the sound later,” He sits back down and takes a bite of the pancake and a different sound beeps in his ear. “I recovered health” He whispers but Twilight heard him a little.

“What was that Link? You recovered health?” She stops eating her pancake to ask him. He thinks really hard for a subject change.

He hesitated and cleared his throat, “I said I recovered healthily,” He laughs nervously hoping she would buy the lie. She slowly nods and continues eating her pancake. He sighs and finishes his pancake healing him to full health. “Alright, I’m gonna go for a jog, see you later,” He rushes out the door before she can say anything, “Sorry Twilight, gotta find this on my own for now.” He walks from the Library to a secluded location outside Ponyville, near the Everfree Forest.

“I need to find my hearts and magic meter so I know how much I have since apparently, I have health just like in the games,” He looks in every direction up, down, left, right, over there, up there, down here, etc… “Well if it’s not in my vision, where could it…” He Takes off his gauntlets and checks his arms finding his Hearts and Magic meter on his wrist in tiny print. “Really, there of all places? Should have known the world has it out for me...” He puts his gauntlets back on and jogs around the edge of the Everfree.

Michael rests on a large tree next to an entrance to the Everfree, “I know before I turned into Link I was out of shape but, why do I STILL feel out of shape?” He sits down on the ground and tries to take out his flask only to bring out that [Empty Bottle] again. “I forgot I don’t have my flask anymore… and I forgot to fill this with water…” He puts the bottle away and rests, listening to the soothing sound of silence.

The silence is slowly filled with a familiar tone that would eventually click in Michael’s mind; reminding him of the theme played in Majora’s Mask known as Goron’s lullaby, however, it wasn’t being played by a Goron child nor the sound of a drum. Following the sound curiously, Micheal is led through branches and bush until soon, he spies a Howling Stone with light gleaming from above onto it.

“Is that…” He slowly creeps closer to the Stone, “A Howling stone from Twilight Princess?” He listens to the sound it’s producing and grabs his Ocarina and echoes the Whistle from the wind, a prompt pops up in his vision saying ‘You Learned the Song of Displaced Souls’ Michael looks at the prompt confused, “Didn’t I play the Goron’s Lullaby?” He blinks and the prompt continues, ‘This song is often changed depending on the User and Recipient’s hearts. When this song is played a Displaced will be summoned to your realm.’

Suddenly, a loud howl is heard in the air, causing Michael to turn around and draw the [Master sword], only for everything to be eerily silent. From within the eye of the stone, green energy started to swirl, and before Micheal could understand what was going on, a wolf leaped out from the eye, landing in front of Micheal. At a glance, it looked like a normal wolf, however, its colors were very off, appearing as red and grey. What pulled Micheal’s attention the most, was the symbol on the wolf’s forehead.

Michael spots the symbol of Din on the Wolf’s head, “Din?” He sheaths the [Master Sword] and calms down. It turned out to be a bad idea as the spiritual wolf crouched down low before leaping high into the air and down toward Michael. It happened so quickly that Micheal ends up being blinded by a brightening light. When the light dimmed, he notices he was laying on the ground, as if he had passed out.

Michael slowly stands up and stretches, “What was with that wolf,” He shakes his head and looks around, “Woah,” He pauses looking at the fast sea of clouds with areas of Equestria randomly poking through them, “This looks a lot like...” He feels a presence behind him and turns to face it. It was the wolf from before, but instead of the spectral look to them, it was now a lot more clearer; appearing like Wolf Link, except the colors were wrong. With a howl and a brief flash of light, there that stood in the wolve’s place, was almost a mirror image of Micheal, except his tunic, it was a much darker color being that of Twilight Princess, although he had a red cloak that covered much of his upper body and face.

“My, my, my. First time I’ve met someone else who became Link.” The red hooded man said in amusement.

“Another Link? How is this possible?” Michael looks at the man in confusion, “Are you from a different world?” He asks.

“You are correct.” The hooded man said as he reached up to lower the cowl. The man’s face… was Link? No... His face has a lot of scars, especially his right ear that appeared to have been clawed by something. His face, while mostly that of Twilight Princess, had mixtures of three other Links, and a blonde mustache and goatee. “I’m Link, or rather the name that was forced onto me when I opened up that treasure chest left at my doorstep.” Link explained.

“I’m sorry that you lost your original name, and I feel a little bad I kept mine,” Michael pauses for a moment, “My name is Michael, but for the foreseeable future I am going by the moniker Link. That’s what everyone calls me in my world.”

Link softly chuckled. “That’ll be confusing if we stood side by side, and anyone or pony said the name.” Link said in minor amusement.

Michael rubbed the back of his head and chuckled nervously, “Now that you mention it, that would be a little awkward,” He regains a strong posture, “You look like you’ve seen a few battles, and nice facial hair, Didn’t know we could grow that, anyway how is your world?” Michael Crosses his arms.

“Think of it much like the world of friendship is magic, but Celestia and Luna are half goddesses, then over time it attracts many horrors of the Zelda world; like a moth to a flame.” Link said as he raised his hand; revealing the glowing symbol of the Triforce of courage. “Mostly to this.”

“You have the Triforce of courage?” Michael looks at his sword arm, his Triforce of courage starts glowing brightly, “Wait how do we both have the Triforce?” Michael raises his arm to show his Triforce. “Shouldn’t this be impossible?”

“When it comes to the multiverse across the void, nothing is impossible.” Link said as he lowered his hand; the triforce’s glow fading.

Michael lowers his hand, “Multiverse theory’s a bitch,” he Chuckles, “So why are we in this realm?” He pulls out the [Ocarina of Time], “I played the Goron Lullaby on this next to a Howling Stone, but it said I learned the Song of Displaced Souls.”

“About that. The Howling Stone is actually something called a Token; something that is created by you or owned as a personification of your being. Its function is to play a song, the summoner plays the song, and I am brought across the void to answer the call.” Link explained, then was silent. “...Although I’ve no clue where that name came from that you just called it.” Link said as he stroked along his goatee in thought.

“The name popped up on a Text box in the bottom of my vision as if I was playing the games. Specifically Ocarina of Time,” Michael puts the Ocarina away and thinks for a moment. “Wait, Text Prompts, Hearts, and Magic meter! I’m literally Adult Link from Ocarina of time!” He shouts suddenly.

“...Interesting. Are my words being heard, or appeared as a text box to you?” Link asked curiously.

“I can hear you, and I don’t ‘Currently’ see subtitles, at least right now,” Michael says slightly worried about sudden text boxes filled with Pinkie’s no pauses sentences. “It so far it’s only happened from Playing Music on the [Ocarina of Time],” He explains.

“Since you’ve become that of the hero of time, could you do me a small favor? Please use the [Song Of Time] with caution. Time traveling is risky to do and you may end up making things worse if you try to change anything in the past.” Link warned Micheal.

“Don’t worry, I was only planning on using it if I came across any stones of Time,” Michael informs Link, “I know how bad time can be, I played Majora’s Mask and watched the Back to the Future trilogy forty times each over my twenty-three years,”

“Good, good. You’ve got some Wisdom in that noggin of yours, I believe I can trust you with my token. You have passed judgment.” Link said, and with those words, the realm began to fade like a blurry vision. When Micheal wakes up again, his face is on the ground... Again.

“Damn you Twilight Princess respawns!” He yells as he stands up dusting himself off, He takes in his surroundings, “Am I back in the Everfree?” Indeed, he was where the Howling Stone once stood, “Where did the stone go?” Looking around, Michael notices the Stone hanging on a necklace string around his neck, “Well, that’s convenient, now how does this work?” Michael lifts the stone to eye level to examine it.

“Careful,” Link warned, making Micheal jump into the air as he didn’t realize Link was standing there in the flesh this time. “My token has twili magic that allowed me to cross the void and of course turn into the wolf form you saw before.” Link explained.

Michael catches his breath before responding, “Good to know, also, Don’t sneak up on a guy like that…” Michael hides the stone under his shirt, “So…” He pauses for a moment, “What do we do now? I was just jogging and then found the stone here in the Forest,”

“It can be whatever you need me for. Help take down a foe, teach you spells, swordsmanship, songs, perhaps gift you any of my constantly slow generating ammunition.” Link said as he held his arms out. “Maybe unlock something you don’t have, like a Magic Meter, or create you a copy of one of my transformation masks made of void energy. The ocean is your oyster with me as you hold my token, in short, I’m at your service. Just nothing ridiculous.” Link explained before chuckling.

“Well, I’m not sure I’ll need a Deku mask, but Goron maybe, Zora definitely, can’t swim to save my life,” Michael chuckles, “Alright, may I have a Zora mask, and some sword training? My battle with Nightmare Moon was pure luck,” He asks Link, “I might also need a fairy companion, I might be able to Z-Target and focus on foes to better my aim.”

“I can give you all of that, although the masks will take time. Using void energy puts a heavy strain on me after all. Which would you like first?” Link asked as he glanced around the forest.

Michael thinks for a moment, “I think the masks can wait, but I desperately need training,” He takes off a gauntlet and shows Link his Hearts and Magic meter, “You see, I have the Minimum requirements for beating Ocarina of Time, and what’s weirder is I have game mechanics too,” He puts his gauntlet back on, “When Nightmare Moon hit me I started hearing the dreaded Low health beeps but didn’t realize until today,” He pauses, “I haven’t heard the sound in a long time,”

“...Only three hearts?” Link asked in concern.

“Well, I have an explanation for that,” Michael explains, “You see, the last time I beat it…” He pauses for a second and rubs the back of his head in embarrassment, “I did a Minimum item run, 0 Gold Skulltulas, 0 Heart pieces, 0 Heart Containers, etc…” He crosses his arms, “I don’t even have the lense of truth,”

“You’re lucky you didn’t try a swordless run, or worse you tried the Chaos Edition. Goddesses knows how much misery you would have to live through with that as part of your Displaced.” Link said as he stroked along his goatee in thought.

Michael chuckles, “I couldn’t do many glitches so I guess I got lucky?” He suddenly remembers an important detail, “Uhh, How will Twilight react to two of us cause I haven’t told her about my abilities out of fear of what might happen?” He asks nervously.

“No worries,” Link began as he reached into one of his pouches he had equipped to his belt, soon shuffling around and pulling out what appears to be a unicorn mask. “I often go by the name Protective Shield whenever I feel the world is either hostile toward the Displaced, or they’re not ready to know there are more of them.”

Michael nods, “Alright I need to get back to the Library, it’s getting dark and I left in the morning,” He turns to the edge of the forest, “She might get worried that her assigned guardian is missing for a day,”

“Let’s not waste any time then.” Link said as he raised the mask up to his face. For a brief second, the mask reached out and clung to Link’s face, and with a flash, changed form. Link was replaced with a red-cloaked wearing green-furred unicorn with a cutie mark of a sword and shield on his flank. Despite the changes, Link still had battle scars on his face and right ear. “...Hmm, seems this world prefers the ponies different than the four-legged kind.” Link said as he glanced down, nodding in satisfaction he wasn’t wearing his green tunic, but instead leather armor. Michael nods and they turn and leave the Forest heading for the Library.

Chapter 4: Obligatory Pinkie Pie Party

Author's Note

Sorry for the long delay but things haven't been going so great for a little while, money constraints, a foot of snow (the only intact pair of shoes I own are off-brand crocs), and other small personal things have had an effect on my mood, but I'm still slowly both working on my stories and my Game, Writer's block is annoying.

Chapter 5: The Golden Tickets

=== The next morning at Sweet Apple Acres... ===

“Welcome to ma family’s farm Link, Sweet Apple Acres!” Apple Jack says as Michael, Twilight, and Spike follow her past the ranch’s entrance. “As you can probably tell by the name, We’re most famous for our delicious Apples,” She walks everypony through the farm past the Barn, the House, and into the Orchard, “And here’s where ya’ll will be helping today,” She stops next to an apple tree and turns to face the group, “Thanks again for agreeing to help this mornin’,” She looks at Michael, “I’m actually interested to see how strong you are Link,” She rears up and kicks the tree next to her causing a shower of apples to fall into the already placed baskets below the tree. “Apple buckin’ is easy for an earth pony, and Twi is great at Magic but, you Link, are a mystery, what are you really, are you some kind of Furless Earth Pony with weird ears?” Twilight’s eyes widen when Applejack asked that.

Twilight facepalms, “I can’t believe I forgot to ask you that same question...” Twilight summons a Quil and peace of parchment paper, “And to think you’ve been living in the same house as I have,” She paused and quietly added, “Maybe I do study too much...” Spike heard what she said and chuckles quietly.

Michael crosses his arm and thinks for a moment, “Let’s see, how do I explain this...” after a few moments of thinking he nods, “I am a human or at least sort of...” He paused for a moment, “In this form, I’m a Hylian, A type of Human that lives mainly in the country of Hyrule, but you won’t find Hyrule on any map because it’s not of this world,” The others look at Michael in confusion, “As It stands right now, I’m from another world or maybe even Dimension,”

Applejack narrows her eyes and stares into Michael’s eyes trying to find out if he’s lying. After a few moments, She speaks up, “He’s not lying... Even though what he said is really hard to believe,” She scratches her head, “Twi what do you think,” Twilight is frozen in place, Spike waves a hand in front of her face but nothing happens.

“I think you broke her Link,” Spike looks at Michael, “So you’re an alien?” Michael slowly nods causing Spike to beam with excitement, “That’s so cool!” Twilight blinks and shakes her head,

“You’re truly a new species on Equis, this is amazing, I must know everything about you!” Twilight gets too close to Michael, “When we get back to the Library we’re gonna have a long conversation about where you come from,” Applejack pulls Twilight away from Michael,

“Twi, you’re scarin’ him sugar cube,” Twilight chuckles and rubs the back of her head nervously, “Besides we have Apple buckin’ to do!” Applejack says enthusiastically, “Come on Everypony, Let’s buck some apples!” With that, they all started picking apples with Applejack keeping a close eye on Michael to see how he fairs.

Michael walks up to a tree and proceeds to kick it lightly, no apples fall, “Well that ain’t gonna work,” He thinks for a minute and comes up with a plan, “The megaton hammer shakes the screen in Ocarina, I wonder if it’ll work to drop these apples,” He grabs the air behind him and pulls out the [Megaton Hammer], “One solid hit should do,” He Swings the hammer like a baseball bat and gets a solid hit on the tree.

The ground around everypony shakes for a second making Spike take cover near Twilight, Applejack almost loses her hat, and all of the trees in a 50-foot radius drop all their apples shocking everypony. “What in tarnation?” Applejack questions and looks at Michael still holding the [Megaton Hammer] against the tree. “Link!” This scares the man into dropping the hammer making it disappear and turning toward Applejack, “What did you just do?” She looks slightly angry when asking that.

Michael gulps nervously and answers her, “I caused an earthquake to help harvest the apples faster?” She narrows her eyes at him and slowly nods, “I’ll start gathering the bushels now,” She nods again starts picking up the baskets of apples to carry them to the barn. Michael wipes sweat from his brow and goes to carry some baskets.

=== A Boring hour of packing baskets later ===

Applejack, Twilight, and Spike are carrying back a basket each with Michael tailing them with 4 stacked on each arm. “Thank ya kindly guys,” Applejack says as they reach the barn, “I bet Big Macintosh I could get all these golden delicious in the barn by lunchtime,” She looks at Michael not even breaking a sweat carrying 8 baskets, “And thanks to you, Link, We got it done way quicker than I expected,” She moves her Basket to one hand so the other can open the barn door,

“No problem Applejack, you can always count on me to help if you just ask,” Michael said in a slightly southern accent, “And besides, back where I’m from, most people did this for fun, I should be able to help without any problems,” Applejack opens the door and they all place their baskets inside, A low growl is heard,

“What in tarnation was that?” Applejack looks at the tree line next to the farm searching for an animal about to breach the fence when Michael and Spike embarrassingly chuckle, “What’s so funny you two?” Applejack eyes them suspiciously,

“Well, I forgot breakfast and it’s been a while since I’ve eaten anything,” Michael rubs the back of his head embarrassed, Spike nods his head and rubs his empty belly. Applejack looks serious for a moment then starts laughing causing the group to all start laughing,

“Well then, I think it’s time we get some lunch,” Twilight says, Applejack nods as the laughing calms down, “How about the Hay Café?” Applejack nods, Michael slowly nods not liking the sound of Hay, and Spike starts hacking like a cat, “Spike what’s wrong with the Hay Café?” After a moment Spike burps up green smoke that materializes into a Letter with a golden seal on it, “A Letter from Princess Celestia?” Spike catches the Letter as it floats down to him.

“Ahem, hear yee hear yee, her grand royal highness, Princess Celestia of Equestria, Is pleased to announce the Grand Galloping Gala, to be held in the magnificent capital city of Canterlot, on the twenty-first day of...” Spike trails off, “Yada yada yada, cordially extends an invitation to Twilight Sparkle plus one guest, and Link plus one guest,” Spike Finishes.

Applejack and Twilight Gasp and say “The Grand Galloping Gala,” at the same time, they bounce around excited for the event while Michael looks confused and Spike looks annoyed at the jumping around, “The Grand Galloping Gala!” They yell at the same time again, after a moment though, Spike coughs up another cloud of green smoke that turns into 4 Golden Tickets to the Gala,

“Look,” He grabs the Tickets and shows them to Twilight, “4 Tickets!” Twilight beams with excitement,

“Wow great, I’ve never been to the gala, have you spike?” Twilight asks, Spike simply shakes his head, She looks toward Michael, She goes to speak but he cuts her off,

“I’ve never heard of this ‘Great Galloping Gala’ thing you’re talking about,” The girls gasp and look at Michael shocked, “What is it, some sort of race?” Spike even looks at Michael confused, “What...”

“Woah!” Rainbow Dash falls from the sky and lands on Applejack and Twilight, She gets up off the ground, “Are we talking about the Grand Galloping Gala?!” Applejack and Twilight stand back up and look at Rainbow angrily,

“Rainbow Dash,” Applejack starts, “You told me you were too busy to help me harvest apples,” She crosses her arms, “What were you busy doin’?” She paused for a second, “Spyin’?” Rainbow turns away from her,

“No, I was busy, napping.” A blanket and pillow slowly fall out of a tree next to everypony, “And I just happened to hear that you have an extra ticket,” She looks to Twilight,

“Well yeah but...” Rainbow cuts her off and flies into the sky cheering.

“Yes, this is so awesome!” She lands, “The Wonderbolts perform at the Grand Galloping Gala every year, I can see it now,” Michael grunts since his question wasn’t answered and looks at Spike.

“Spike, want to go grabs us some grub? Just slip Twilight’s tickets into her bag or pocket and let’s go bud,” Spike nods and slips 2 tickets into Twilight’s pant pocket and follows Michael to Ponyville letting the girls handle the ticket fiasco.

On their way to Ponyville Michael askes Spike a big question, “Hey Spike, I hate to pry but,” Spike looks up at Michael, “Is there any chance I can get some meat anywhere?” Spike visibly pales and freezes in his tracks when Michael Says this. “Uh... Spike, you ok buddy?” Michael Kneels down to Spike’s eye level and waves a hand in front of Spike’s face. “Yoohoo, Spike?” Michael stands back up and looks around spotting Rarity leaving her Boutique, “Hey Rarity!” He shouts waving his hand in the air catching her attention.

“Link, how are you this fine day,” She walks over to the boys then notices Spike acting weird, “Oh Spike, are you ok darling?” Hearing Rarity’s voice makes Spike come back to his senses and get between Rarity and Michael. “Oh, Whatever is the matter, Spike?”

“Stay back Rarity, I’ll protect you!” Spike stares at Michael with an angry and also scared look, Michael scratches his head,

“Spike, what’s wrong all I said was...” Spike cuts him off by breathing fire at him,

“Yeah, you wanted to know when you could eat everypony,” Rarity gasps and covers her mouth,

“What?” Michael looks at Spike a little hurt, “Bud, all I said was if I could get any meat around here,” Rarity backs away a tiny bit,

“Meat?” Rarity asks then looks at Michael with fear in her eyes, “Like Pony meat?!” Michael Shakes his head,

“No! Not Pony meat, that’s disgusting, I need fish or any non-sentient animal meat,” Rarity calms down, “I don’t want to harm anypony, I just need it to survive is all,” Rarity puts a hand on Spike’s shoulder and he calms down,

“I understand now Link, I’ll talk to Fluttershy about your,” She gulps nervously, “Meat... Issue...” She clears her throat, “So what are you two doing this fine morning?” Spike cautiously stands next to Michael again,

“We were just about to get some lunch,” Then something important hits Michael, “Wait, I don’t have any money...” He reaches back and grabs his wallet, “All I have are Rupees,” He pulls a Purple Rupee out of his wallet catching Rarity’s eye,

“My my Link, that gem is marvelous, where on equis did you get it?” Rarity asks, “A gem this fine would look lovely on one of my dresses as a centerpiece,”

“This the currency back where I’m from, it’s called a Rupee and They come in many colors and sizes,” He hands the Rupee to Rarity and she examines it closely, “This one is worth 50 Rupees, Green is worth 1, Blue is worth 5, Red is worth 20, Silver is worth 100, and Gold is worth 200,” Spike licks his lips,

“How do they taste?” Both Michael and Rarity look at spike reaching for Michael’s Wallet, “Can I try one?” Michael reaches in and grabs a green Rupee,

“Sure bud, try this one,” He hands it to Spike and spike tosses it in his mouth, “I’ve heard from Twilight that Dragons can eat gems so go ahead,” Spike munches on the Rupee.

“Yum, it tastes like grapes,” Spike enjoys the Rupee as Rarity continues to examine the Purple Rupee, Michael gives Spike another Green Rupee and he happily pops it into his mouth,

“Link, How about you let me have this gem and I take you two out to get some lunch, hows that sound?” Michael thinks for a second,

“How about I give you one of each color I have then you take us out?” Michael gets out a red, blue, and 2 green Rupees, tosses Spike another Green Rupee, and offers Rarity the others, “Seems fairer this way,” Rarity nods takes the Rupees, and stuffs them into her purse.

“Deal, come on boys let’s get you two fed,” Rarity turns toward town and walks away with Michael and Spike following her.

“Hey, Spike, can I see my tickets? I want to see if they explain what the Grand Galloping Gala is,” Spike gets the Tickets and hands them to Michael, Rarity’s eyes widen when she heard Him say ‘Grand Galloping Gala’,

“You have tickets to the Grand Galloping Gala?!” Rarity shouts gaining the attention of every other pony in the Hay Café, “Oops...” Their table is quickly surrounded by ponies trying to kiss up to Michael for his extra ticket,

“Quick Rarity, Spike, Let’s get outta here!” The three of them get up, Rarity leaves enough to pay for their food with a generous tip, they squeeze through the crowd and run for the Library. They reach the Library and almost bust the door down entering it. Everypony catches their breaths exhausted from the run, “Man, what’s so special about the Grand Galloping Gala, that everypony in town wants to go to it,” As Michael closes the Library’s blinds and sits on the floor, Rarity sits down at the table, and Spike flops onto the floor on his back,

“I didn’t think those tickets would cause so much chaos,” Spike sits up on his elbows, “I hope Twilight isn’t having the same problems we’re having,” As if on cue Twilight Teleports into the Library also looking exhausted, She looks around the room spotting Michael, Spike, and Rarity,

“You guys also get chased around town for the extra ticket?” Michael nods his head and raises the tickets still in his grasp, “Rarity what are you doing here?” Rarity looks up from the floor,

“I took Them out for lunch as thanks for some gems and the topic came up,” She paused to catch her breath, “And I accidentally shouted about the tickets and,” She looks back at the ground, “We were chased here,” Michael finally stands up and stretches,

“Man these tickets are more of a burden than carrying my Sword and Sheild around everywhere,” He walks over to Twilight and puts his hand on her shoulder, “This day has been exhausting, I’m going to bed,” as he makes his way upstairs he spots the other Girls at the top of the stairs, Michael screams and falls down the stairs uninjured surprisingly,

“Link!” They get down the stairs and check if Michael is ok,

“Girls, what are you doing here?” Rarity asks as they help Michael up off the ground, and Applejack speaks up,

“We’re here to apologize to Twilight for houndin’ her for her extra ticket,” Applejack takes her hat off, “Really Twilight, we’re sorry, We didn’t realize what we were doing until we heard ya’ll talkin’ down here.” Rainbow Steps forward,

“We were about to ask who you decided to give the ticket to when you got home but,” Pinkie steps forward hair slightly deflated,

“When you guys came in and were talking about how the whole town was chasing you about the ticket, we realized we were doing the same thing.” Fluttershy floats forward, “Now we just want to say we’re sorry for what we did and we hope you can forgive us,” Twilight smiles and nods,

“Apology accepted girls,” They all gather into a group hug with Rarity and Spike standing up and joining in, Michael was pulled into the hug by Pinkie as he slowly backed away to check his health meter. After a solemn moment, the hug breaks up, “I’ve made up my mind,” She gets her tickets out and hands them to spike, “Spike, take a letter please,” Spike grabs a piece of parchment and a Quill, “Dear Princess Celestia, I’ve learned that one of the joys of friendship is sharing your blessings, but when there are not enough blessings to go around having more than your friends can make you feel pretty awful, so though I appreciate the invitation I will be returning both of my tickets to the Grand Galloping Gala,”

“What!” Her friends shout, causing Michael to cover his ears,

“If my friends can’t all go, I don’t want to go either,” Twilight looks at her friends happily. They all look guilty and saddened,

“Twilight you don’t have to do that,” Applejack says, Twilight, still smiling, shakes her head,

“Nope, I’ve made up my mind,” She looks at Spike, “Spike you can send the letter now,” he goes to a window, opens it, and breaths magical fire sending the letter to Princess Celestia,

“Now you won’t get to go to the gala either,” Fluttershy says as they watch the green smoke fly towards Canterlot,

“It’s ok girls, I couldn’t possibly enjoy myself without my best friends there with me,” Everypony hugs Twilight again sans Michael who Checked that he in fact didn’t take damage when he fell, “So I would rather not go at all,” after a moment Spike burps up a Letter, “A Letter from the Princess? That was fast,” Spike grabs the Letter and opens it,

“My faithful student Twilight, why didn’t you say so in the first place,” Spike notices 6 tickets at the bottom of the letter, “Look, Six tickets to the gala!” Everypony cheers,

“Now we can all go!” Twilight cheers, Her stomach growls making her chuckle embarrassed, Rarity steps up to her and puts a hand on her shoulder,

“Allow us to treat you to dinner,” They all head out the door grabbing their tickets on the way out the door, “You boys tagging along?” Spike and Michael shake their heads, “Ok, we’ll be back later then,” Rarity closes the door,

“So Spike, want my extra ticket?” Michael asks but before spike could answer he burps up another letter, “Hmm, what could that be,” Spike opens the letter,

“And one for you Spike,” A 7th ticket falls out of the letter which Spike catches, “Huh, I guess you still have an extra ticket then Link,” Michael scratches his chin,

“I guess I’ll hold onto it, for now, you never know, I might actually find someone to give it to,” Michael puts the tickets behind his back under his shield like other times and lets them go, To his surprise, they actually disappear into his invisible inventory, “Alright, Spike I’m going to bed for real, tell the girls if you’re still up when they get back,” Spike nods his head and waves good night.

=== The Next Morning ===

As the sun raises, Light creeps through the blinds in Michael’s room, when the sunlight hits his eyes he groans and wakes up, “Ugh, damn sun, waking me up from a good dream,” He sits up and rubs his eyes, “Guess I should get up and get this over with,” He hops off his bed and stretches, “Fingers crossed she forgot about what I talked about yesterday,” He walks to his door and opens it, standing in the doorway is Twilight with a creepy smile,

“Finally, I was about to come and wake you up myself,” She’s holding a large notepad and quill, “My friends are already here to listen to what you say about your world,” She grabs his hand and leads him downstairs, “Come on, let’s not waste any more time, I can’t wait to learn about where you come from,” Michael mentally curses but decides not to resist being pulled downstairs. As they reach the ground floor everypony turns to see Twilight dragging Michael down by his hand.

“Good morning darling,” Rarity waves cordially, “I hope Twilight didn’t trouble you too much,” Michael shakes his head as Twilight lets go of his hand and joins the others at the table,

“I actually woke up on my own, she was just at my door when I went to come down here,” Michael stands in the center of the room, and all the girls plus Spike look at him, “Alright...” He crosses his arms and smiles, “What do you want to know?” Twilight instantly raised her hand, as if she was in school, “Twilight, what’s your first question?”

“Ok, Where are you from?” Twilight is writing down notes already, Michael nods and chuckles,

“How did I know you would ask that first, anyway,” He paused to think for a moment, “I am from a planet called Earth, in the Milky Way Galaxy, More specifically the state of Ohio in the United States,” Twilight’s quill is going lightning fast as Rainbow’s hand is raised, “Rainbow, what’s your question?”

“How strong are you?” Rainbow looks as if she’s challenging Michael to an arm-wrestling match, Applejack looks to Rainbow as if she stole her question,

“Well with my [Golden Gauntlets] I can pick up a thick pillar of Granite and chuck it about 10 feet away, but even without them I can push a solid block of concrete four times larger than me with relative ease.” Applejack and Rainbow’s jaws drop, Twilight raises her hand again, “Twilight?”

“What’s it like where you’re from?” and yet another simple fact question from Twilight, Michael thinks of how to word his next response,

“It’s decent where I’m from, some good things, some bad things, but all in all, decent,” Michael explains, “If you don’t count the many travesties that have plagued my people that is,” This piques Twilight’s interest, “My people, which are seven billion-plus, have done some horrible things in the past, War, Genocide, Slavery,” Michael shudders, “I don’t like thinking about it much,” Twilight looks a little guilty but continues writing stuff down, Fluttershy raises her hand,

“What kind of animals live on earth?” Fluttershy whispers audibly, Michael thinks for a moment, “Are there ponies there too?”

“Well technically, but they aren’t sentient, there are no Pegasi, Unicorns, or Alicorns, they’re quadrupeds and about as tall as me without standing on their hind legs,” Michael paused to think again, “Other than that most animals here are also there but not as smart,” Rarity raises her hand,

“What’s the fashion like on Earth? Is it more like what you wear?” Michael shakes his head,

“Fashion on earth is subjective and changes a lot, many centuries ago, what I’m wearing was in style but, now it’s more like casual clothes like basic shirts and pants, yes there is still fancy clothes like suits and dresses for special occasions,” Applejack raises her hand before Twilight could, “Applejack, what’s yer question?”

“What was that instrument that you played when we first met you?” She crosses her arms and tilts her head, Michael reaches under his shield and pulls out the [Ocarina of Time],

“This is the [Ocarina of Time], A magical ocarina that when played can make special things happen,” Twilight’s eyes sparkle with this information, “I will demonstrate its magical abilities,” He puts the ocarina to his lips and plays Epona’s Song, after the melody finishes, A horse neigh can be heard from outside, “Wait, what?” The girls all look toward the Library’s door, Michael walks to the door, puts away the [Ocatina of Time], and opens the door revealing Epona from Ocarina of time.

“Link, who is that?” Twilight says, the girls and spike stand up and walk outside with Michael, “Link?” She calls out to him, but he doesn’t respond, he’s too distracted by Epona standing before him, he walks up to Epona and places a hand on her neck, Fluttershy steps closer to Epona and she looks directly at Fluttershy,

“Hello, my name’s Fluttershy what’s yours?” Michael starts absentmindedly petting Epona, “Ok, I’ll introduce you,” She turns to the others, “This is Epona, Link’s beloved horse, She says she helps him cross far distances with her incredible speed,” Michael backs away from Epona and looks to the others,

“Well, with that out of the way, any more questions?” Twilight raises her hand, Michael nods and points at her,

“How do you summon your items, I’ve seen you pull your Ocarina and that big hammer out of thin air, is it some sort of magic?” Michael thinks a little then nods,

“My items are summoned by my thoughts and a little bit of magic, I think it may be the same type of magic that brought me to this world, Void Magic, a dangerous and also completely safe Magic depending on the user,” He puts his hand under his shield and pulls out the [Fairy Bow], “My Void Magic seems to only summon or store my gear in a sort of pocket dimension for later use, I even put my Gala Tickets in there,” He demonstrates by putting away the bow and grabbing the tickets.

“Wow, I’ve never heard of Void Magic,” Twilight writes in her notepad, “I’d like to test its magical capabilities sometime,” Michael then remembers something,

“Oh I almost forgot about something, Tael,” The others look confused then Tael the Golem Fairy appears next to Michael, “Why don’t you introduce yourself,” She nods and flies toward the others,

“Hello Friends of Michael, My name is Tael, I’m a golem fairy,” She turns to look at Michael, “Michael is my new master after Protective shield gave me to him,” She turns back to the others, “I’m so glad to meet all of you,” They smile and she returns to Michaels side, landing on his shoulder,

“There’s one more thing I have to show you,” He pulls the Howling stone necklace from under his shirt, “This is an artifact that Protective shield gave me, It has Void magic inside and another type of Magic, Twili Magic,” Twilight tilts her head in confusion, “Twili Magic is magic born from Darkness and can turn most people into simple souls on contact, but a select few chosen by the gods of another realm can be changed to an alternate form instead of just a helpless soul,” Twilight’s eyes widen, “Twilight, I would like you to study this objects magic to unlock the ability to harness it’s Twili Magic, but not for evil, I wish to gain my Alternate form.” He raises his sword hand and shows them the Triforce of courage, “I have been given the body and abilities of a Great Hero, Link, Chosen by the gods for his unbreakable courage, This Triangle on my hand is a Triforce piece, the Triforce of Courage in fact,” He lowers his arm, “It shows that I have the gods protection, and the Twili Magic will only change my form, so I’m asking you, Twilight, study this necklace and try to unlock it’s hidden abilities.” Twilight nods confidently, “Thank you, I will be counting on you,” Michael hands her the necklace, “Please be careful with this, Twili Magic is not easy to control, don’t make direct contact with it.” Twilight nods and teleports the Necklace away,

“You can count on me to figure out its secrets Link,” She smiles, He nods and looks to the others,

“So with all that said and done, when’s breakfast, I’m starving.” Everypony rolls their eyes and starts laughing as they re-enter the Library.

Chapter 6: The Golden Tickets

=== Just outside the Golden Oaks Library ===

“Alright Link,” Rainbow leads Applejack and Michael over to a small area next to the Library with three seemingly poorly made training dummies. “I’ve set these state of the art training dummies up so you can show me,” Applejack coughs, Rainbow stutters and corrects herself, “I mean us, just how strong you are, just going by what you say won’t satiate our curiosity,” She stands next to a dummy, “We’ll start off with a simple punch,” She turns to a dummy and proceeds to punch it in the face, surprisingly it doesn’t fall apart but hits the ground and recoils back upright.

“Simple enough Sugarcube,” Applejack walks over to the second dummy and does the same thing, “Huh, these dummies are actually really durable, despite their look,” Michael walks over to the third dummy and readies his fist, “Take the gauntlets off there Link, make it fair.” Michael nods and drops the gauntlets to the ground making an audible thud when they hit the ground. Rainbow and Applejack raise an eyebrow at the sheer weight of the gauntlets.

“Alright, here goes nothing,” Michael pulls back his fist and punches the dummy hard in the face causing the dummy’s body to break clean off its stand and land about 10 feet away from its starting position, “Whoops, put a little too much force behind that one,” He chuckles as Rainbow and Applejack look dumbfounded by the level of strength on display, “Hang on I can fix it,” He walks over to the dummy and picks it up, places it next to the broken stand, and pulls out the [Ocarina of Time].

“Wait, how’s your Ocarina gonna fix a broken stand?” Rainbow looks at Michael confused, he doesn’t answer, he just puts the Ocarina to his lips and plays Zelda’s Lullaby. When the melody finishes the dummy magically rose from the ground and reattached itself back onto the stand effortlessly. “What the Heck?” Rainbow gives it a testing poke and the Dummy is perfectly re-attached to the stand as if nothing happened.

“This song always repaired signs if I cut them with my sword by mistake... Or curiosity, so I thought it would work for this too and, lo and behold, it worked,” Applejack and Rainbow look at Michael confused, “Alright, next test?” He looks at Rainbow who nods and turns away from her dummy.

“The next test is kicking,” She swiftly sidekicks the dummy making sway left and right for a few seconds before settling back to normal, “Another simple strength test, AJ,” Applejack proceeds to break her Dummy by straight kicking it in the torso. “Can you guys not break the Dummies? They cost me a bunch of bits to make,” Applejack simply crosses her arms and looks at Michael expecting the same result as before.

Michael gets into position and sidekicks the Dummy just like Rainbow but instead of just breaking the Dummy cartwheels a few times knocking over Rainbow’s Dummy in the process, “Huh, why didn’t you do that at the farm?” Applejack questions, “Instead you pulled out that big hammer and damaged my tree with it,” She squints at Him.

“Kicking a tree is much harder than kicking a Dummy, sorry but my leg would shatter if I kicked a tree,” He quickly players the Song again repairing Applejack’s Dummy, picks up his and Rainbow’s Dummies off the ground, and replaces them back upright. “Any more tests?” Rainbow and Applejack look at each other than smirk before looking directly at Michael,

“Just one more test,” Rainbow chuckles then shoots off into the sky, Applejack cracks her knuckles and gets into a fighting stance, Rainbow flies by Michael and snatches his Sword and Shield off his back effortlessly, “You won’t be needing these,” She lands and places them on the ground next to the Dummies, “Ready AJ?” She crosses her arms and flexes her wings, A boss name tag appears in Michael’s Lower Vision, ‘Dynamic Fighting Duo, Rainbow Dash & Applejack’ and Boss Music starts playing. Rainbow cracks her knuckles and flies off into the sky again, Applejack advances on Michael before he even registers what’s happening.

“Whoa!” Michael dodges a flying fist from Applejack rolling to the right away from her, “Tael, I’m gonna need you to keep an eye on my hearts, just in case,” Tael makes an audible ding confirming she heard him, when he stands back up from the dodge roll, Applejack is already about to punch again. She swings and he catches her fist in his hand, suddenly Rainbow flies in, hits him in the side, and flies back into the sky. “Son of a...” before he finishes his sentence Applejack gets a good kick to his stomach throwing him back a few feet.

“Master, you have just lost a full heart, be aware you only have two left, My healing ability is slow but I'll try my best to keep you safe!” Tael informs Michael, He stands up off the ground, “I’d advise using caution when dealing with Rainbow dash, she may be fast but she can’t be silent,” He nods and gets into a fighting stance reminiscent to Ryu from Street fighter’s stance.

“Alright ladies,” He pauses dramatically, “Time to get serious,” before he can move he hears Rainbow flying back at him to deal more damage. He dodges her punch only to be caught off guard by Applejack landing another solid kick sending him a few feet back but still on his feet this time, “Good one, but now it’s my turn!” He rushes back toward Applejack and throws a fake punch causing her to dodge into a sidekick sending her a few feet to the side on the ground.

“Dagnabbit, that smarts,” She stands back on her feet and readies herself again, “Not gonna let you do that again Sugarcube!” She starts approaching Michael again when Rainbow goes for another diving punch.

“Alright, I’ve had enough of your strategy Rainbow,” He stares down Rainbow as she careens straight towards him, “God, I hope this works,” He readies himself to catch her and her punch. Rainbow starts to grin as she closes in on him and changes her plan from punch to tackle.

“What are you thinking Link, just giving up now?!” Applejack yells as she gets closer to him as well, “Rainbow give him a good one!” Rainbow closes the distance and they collide making a big dust cloud appear, but as the dust settles, Michael is holding his own against Rainbow, hands clasped together not moving an inch, “Holy moly,” Applejack hesitates in getting involved with the struggle.

Michael and Rainbow are both gritting their teeth trying to push each other back, suddenly Michael remembers how Twilight Princess link defeated rolling Gorons by catching them and throwing them behind him. “Is this all you got?!” Rainbow mocks while still struggling to push him, He starts to shift his weight and push in a different direction instead of just directly back at Rainbow causing her to slip up in her wing beats, “Wha?” He takes the opportunity to spin around and toss her at Applejack, they collide and hit the ground hard.

“Are we done?” Michael asks, Rainbow growls, stands up, and flies toward him intending to continue the sparring match, just as she was about to hit him she is stopped dead in her tracks by a field of purple magic.

“Enough!” Twilight screams from in front of the Library with Spike, Fluttershy, Rarity, and Epona standing next to her awestruck at how Michael could be so strong. “Why the heck are you guys fighting?” Twilight crosses her arms and looks angrily at the pair with Applejack stepping closer to everyone. The boss music is replaced with calm village music.

“We just wanted to see how strong he was,” Rainbow explains, “He said he was strong enough with those gauntlets so we wanted to test his strength without them,” Twilight lets Rainbow go from her magical grasp, “You know I can’t resist a good sparring match, especially with somepony that says they can push a block of concrete four times their size with ease,”

“Sorry Twilight, I kinda wanted to see how strong he was too,” Applejack chuckled and rubbed the back of her head, “To be honest, I’ve wanted to know ever since he used that big hammer to shake about ten trees at once,” Twilight lightens up,

“That’s still no excuse to just fight him, you should have at least asked him first,” Twilight finishes as Michael retrieves his gauntlets and puts them back on, “I understand why you did it though, I too kind of wanted to see his strength in action,” Twilight grabs Michael’s Sword and Shield in her magic and floats them back to him,

“All in all, I enjoyed the match, though having a heads up would have been nice,” Michael puts the Sword and Sheild back on his back, “You two can pack quite a punch, I’m just glad Twilight stopped it, I might have lost if Applejack helped Rainbow at the end,” He starts walking back to the Library, “After that intense battle I’m gonna need a snack anypony else want one?” Rainbow nods and starts walking to the Library too,

“I would but I just remembered that I gotta help Big Mac back at the farm with some harvestin’ catch ya’ll later,” Applejack tips her hat and heads for the farm, everypony waves her goodbye.

Michael stops next to Fluttershy, “Fluttershy, can I ask you an important question about Epona?” she shyly looks at him through her mane and nods, “I have no place for Epona right now, would you know any place she could go until I can get a place of my own?” Fluttershy looks over at Epona,

“She can stay at my cottage until you can find a good place, I take care of a lot of animals so she shouldn’t be a problem,” Michael smiles and walks over to Epona to pet her, “I’ll make sure to take good care of her, you have nothing to worry about,” Fluttershy joins him next to Epona,

“Thank you, Fluttershy, I’ll be sure to make it up to you somehow,” Michael pets Epona, looks at Fluttershy, and smiles, “If you ever need help with anything don’t hesitate to ask,” She nods and Twilight joins them,

“Hey you two, Spike, Rarity, and I are going to the Hay Café, wanna tag along?” Fluttershy turns to Twilight and nods, Michael nods as well but doesn’t stop petting Epona, “She can come too, it’s really time to get the town’s ponies adjusted to her presence,” Michael Smiles and grabs her reigns to lead her to the café with everypony.

“Thanks, Twilight, come on girl, let’s go get you something to eat,” Epona neighs happily causing Fluttershy to giggle and smile. “Let’s just hope ponies don’t freak out too much,” They all walk towards town with Michael and Fluttershy leading Epona while keeping a conversation with each other.

Chapter 8: Applebuck Season Part 1, Stampede!

=== A boring uneventful day later... ===

Morning rolls around for the residents of the Royal Oak Library. Twilight is reading books like it’s going out of style, Spike is cooking a delicious breakfast for 3, and Michael is exercising in his room. Spike finishes making his french toast with a sunny side up egg breakfast and calls the others to the table, “Breakfast is done, come and get it!” Twilight looks up from her book fort and smiles,

“Thanks, Spike, I was getting hungry,” She stands up and places all of her books back on the shelf correctly with magic, “You always make the best breakfast anypony could ask for,” Spike smiles and places the 3 meals on the table. After a few minutes, Michael doesn’t come down the stairs. “Huh, did he not hear you?” after a few seconds a door can be heard opening upstairs.

Michael quickly gets downstairs, “Sorry I’m late, I was in the middle of doing some pushups, couldn’t stop at a hundred and forty,” He walks over to the table and sits down, “Thanks for the food Spike,” Everypony digs in, after a few minutes the ground starts shaking, causing Twilight and Michael to get up and walk over to the window.

“Stampede!” they hear somepony shout outside, prompting them to run outside to do whatever they can to help as rushing music started to play. Most of the towns ponies are running around trying to get out of the way, Twilight goes to check on her friends and Michael Pulls out the [Ocarina of Time] and plays Epona’s song after the song ends Epona appears galloping toward Michael,

“Come on Epona, let’s see if we can help,” He hops on and they ride toward the stampede, as they get closer to the stampede he starts to hear a familiar voice.

“Yeehaw!” Applejack is riding a ranch horse at high speeds keeping up with a stampede of cows, “Come on Winona, let’s steer these steer away from Ponyville,” As she gets closer to the front, Winona keeps the left side from breaking up, Applejack tosses her lasso at the head cow and pulls to the right. “Come on now, turn!” She pulls with all her might and manages to make the stampede avoid running through Ponyville.

Michael rides up to her and Winona after they stop the cows, “That was some fine herding AJ, and yer dog ain’t half bad either,” Winona barks proudly as Applejack hops off her horse,

“Well, thank ya kindly Link, now,” She turns to one of the lead cows, “What was that all about?” The cow moos then clears its throat revealing that cows can speak perfectly, surprising Michael,

“Begging your pardon Applejack but, Mooriella here saw one of those nasty snakes,” The other cows all gasp at the word snake, “And it gave us all the willies doncha know,” Applejack nods,

“Ah completely understand, just next time, try and Steer clear of Ponyville,” The cow nods and they all start walking back where they came from,

“We certainly will, applejack, so long Winona!” Winona barks happily, and Applejack climbs back onto her horse, before she can ride back to the farm Michael stops her,

“What’s the rush, something wrong at the farm?” Michael asks, Applejack shakes her head,

“Nothing’s wrong I just gotta get back to the orchard, It’s applebuck season,” She explains, “This time of year there are tons of apples ready to be harvested, and with Big Mac hurt, I got a lot to do this year,” Michael nods.

“I understand and If you ever need help you can just ask me, I’ll help anytime, no questions asked,” She nods and rides off with Winona running behind leaving Michael and Epona to ride back into Ponyville. As he reenters Ponyville he spots the girls talking with the Mayor, “Hey girls, did I miss something?” He stops Epona near the girls and hops off. Pinkie Speaks up,

“We’re gonna throw a party for Applejack since she saved the town.” Pinkie smiles and hops in place as the Mayor speaks up next,

“Applejack did such a heroic deed, we have to thank her properly,” Everypony smiles and nods, “I have some important meetings to get to so we can discuss this later, Goodbye,” She turns and walks toward town hall leaving the group to their party planning.

“Just leave the party planning to me, I’ll only need your help setting the decorations up,” Pinkie pulls a pen and paper out of her hair and starts writing ideas down, “I’ll be at sugar cube corner if anypony needs me,” She hops away somehow still writing on the paper.

“Welp, knowing her this party is going to be amazing, I’m gonna head home Twilight, I have some training to catch up on,” Michael remounts Epona, “If you girls need me you know where I’ll be, and Fluttershy,” Fluttershy looks up at Michael nervously, “I’m gonna drop Epona off at your cottage okay?” Fluttershy nods but before Michael can leave she gets his attention by flying up to sit on Epona, Bridal style.

“I need to check on the animals back home anyway so I’ll come with, that is... If you don’t mind...” She blushes as she realizes what she just did but relax when Michael chuckles.

“I don’t mind one bit Fluttershy, I’ll have Epona go easy but still you might want to hold on,” He then rides off towards Fluttershy’s cottage,

=== A Short Horse ride later ===

As they ride across the small bridge over a stream Michael hops off Epona and a question pops into his mind, “Hey Fluttershy,” She floats off of Epona and pets her,

“Yes, Link?” They finish walking to the entrance to Fluttershy’s cottage while Epona canters to the back yard with the other animals.

“I was wondering, what kind of wolves do you know about?” The question makes Fluttershy tilt her head in confusion, “Sorry if my question is a little strange,” He rubs the back of his head nervously,

“Well, the only ‘wolves’ I know are Timberwolves, they live exclusively in the Everfree forest and are entirely made of wood, why?” Fluttershy opens the door to her cottage, and Angel, her pet bunny, hops out and takes a scrutinizing look at Michael, “Oh hello Angel,” Angel looks at Fluttershy and rubs his stomach, “Oh that’s right, it’s feeding time,” she turns to Michael, “Link, could you help me feed my animals, I mean if you don’t mind...” Michael smiles and nods.

“Sure, I’ll help you, I happen to like animals,” Fluttershy smiles and floats into her cottage, Michael starts heading to the door when Angel stops him, hops up to eye level, points 2 ‘Fingers’ at his eyes then Michael’s with a mean look on his face, and lands back on the ground, “You got it, Angel,” He nervously responds and the bunny begrudgingly allows Michael entry into the cottage and watches him like a hawk.

Inside Fluttershy’s Cottage there are a lot of animal hoes around the place, not too many, but enough to use up a fair size of the room in the house. Fluttershy walks out of the kitchen carrying multiple bags of animal food ranging from birdseed to catfood to small cheese slices for the Mice.

Fluttershy spots Michael and angel by the door, “Link, there’s a large fish in the fridge, can you grab some and head out back to feed Harry the bear?” She fills some bird feeders next to some hanging birdhouses. “I’ll grab the other carnivore animal’s meals and meet you out there,” She begins to pour the cat’s food into some bowls.

“On it, you can count on me,” Michael heads into the kitchen and opens the Fridge, in a drawer at the bottom of the fridge there’s a 15-pound Largemouth Bass, just the sight of it makes his mouth water, “Jesus, that bear is lucky, Might as well get this out to him.” He picks up the Fish and carries it outside and outback. “Now where the heck is that bear...” Michael doesn’t notice that Harry has snuck up behind him the second he smelled the fish.

Standing on his hind legs, Harry 8 Feet tall towers over Michael’s 5’11” Harry waits for the most opportune moment to strike. Michael stops looking around when he feels hot breath running down his neck, Frozen in fear Michael whispers to Tael,

“Tael, for the love of all that is holy, please tell me that the bear isn’t directly behind me...” Tael hidden from sight as she usually is looks behind them to see Harry standing ready to pounce, she panics and starts her healing spell immediately.

“You need to move carefully, cause you are in kill range, and he’s ready to pounce,” Michael’s eyes widen in fear, he gets ready for the impending killing blow. Michael starts to move into a frontal dodge roll but Harry is too fast and lands a swipe at Michael launching him away and making him drop the fish.

Michael Screams in pain as he lands, rolls, and hits his back on a tree far away from the bear, The hit from Harry dealt 2 full hearts of damage and the tree dealt half a heart, Michael holds his side in pain as he searches for any cuts, There’s surprisingly no blood or cuts just a big bruise. In the distance, Harry is peacefully chowing down on the fish with a big smile on his face.

“Master, You’re in critical condition, I’ll heal you as best I can but it will take a while,” Michael sits up and looks back toward Harry, still eating the fish, He grunts and shakily gets back on his feet using the tree as leverage.

“That was too close...” He coughs and clutches his side, “maybe it was a bad idea to just walk out in the open carrying a big fish with a bear nearby,” He starts walking back toward the cottage but due to the large amount of damage he’s taken Michael is slightly limping holding his side. Fluttershy walks into the backyard and spots Harry enjoying his meal, she then spots Michael limping back to the cottage and gasps,

“Link!” She flies over to his at Rainbow dash speed, “What happened, where are you hurt!” She starts checking him for injuries. He coughs and falls to one knee clutching his side again,

“Harry snuck up on me and sent me flying into a tree to take his meal from me,” Fluttershy helps him back up, “I’ll just write it up to him not knowing me and smelling the fish I was carrying,” Fluttershy Helps him over to a picnic table and sits him down, “He punched me real hard in the side, it hurts like hell, pardon my french,” Fluttershy lifts up his shirt to check for any cuts or bruises. Fluttershy is being unusually quiet after Michael explained what happened.

After Fluttershy assesses the damage, she stands up with an angry look on her face and marches over to Harry, who has finished his meal and is now picking his teeth with a claw, “Harry!” The bear jumps to his feet and stands full attention looking straight at her with fear in his eyes, “You are going to apologize to my friend for hurting him,” Harry hesitates then whines something unintelligible, “Good, now, march!” Harry slowly marches over to Michael, whines an apology then hugs him softly. Michael wraps his arms around the bear and hugs back.

“You’ve got some mad strength, Harry, good hit,” They break off the hug, and harry retreats into the woods feeling full from his meal. “Thanks, Fluttershy, how about we get back to feeding your animals,” He stands up feeling a little better thanks to Tael’s healing ability, Fluttershy walks back over to him.

“Are you sure, you just took a full-force attack from Harry, you should be resting,” Michael Chuckles the shakes his head,

“Tael has a healing ability and she’s been helping me deal with the pain, I already feel tons better,” Michael shows he’s feeling better by stretching, not showing any more signs of the injury Fluttershy smiles.

“Alright then, let’s go,” She walks off to where she dropped the other bags of various carnivorous foods with Michael following close behind.

=== Golden Oaks Library, 4 days later ===

“Spike, have you seen Link, I haven’t seen him in a while,” Twilight asks with a worried look on her face, Spike walks out of the Library’s kitchen wiping flour off his hands on his chef’s apron.

“I haven’t seen him since he came home after the Stampede, he took some snacks up to his room when he returned,” Spike stands near the door to the kitchen to keep an ear out for the timer he set on breakfast biscuits. “I tried to get him to come to breakfast yesterday after you went help preparations for today’s party for Applejack, but his door was locked,”

“Maybe I should talk to him so he doesn’t miss the party,” Spike nods and heads back into the kitchen while Twilight heads upstairs. She arrives at Michael’s door unsurprisingly it’s locked, she puts her ear to the door but can’t hear anything, “Link, are you awake?” She knocks on the door, after a few moments of silence, she knocks again, “Link, today’s the party for Applejack you don’t want to miss it, and Spike’s making breakfast,” another few moments of silence, not even a peep from the room. “I know I shouldn’t do this but, I’m worried about him,” She uses her magic to unlock the door and she opens it to find Michael, not in the room, the window open, and the room in shambles symbolizing a struggle took place, [The Master Sword] isn’t in its scabbard on the ground & [Hylian Sheild] is upside down on the ground.

Twilight not liking the look of things rushes over to the window to look for any signs of Michael, she spots what looks like heavy boot prints, much larger than Michael’s with what looks like drag marks off to the side of them leading into the Everfree Forest, “Oh no, this isn’t good,” She rushes out of the room and downstairs scaring Spike with her speed, “Spike, we need to send a letter to Celestia, I think Link was Ponynapped!” Spike tries to calm her down,

“Woah, maybe he’s just taking a walk or something,” Twilight quickly writes down a letter to Celestia describing the situation and hands it to Spike.

“Spike, his room is wrecked and there are clear signs of Ponynapping, his sword and shield are just lying on the ground, quickly send this to Celestia,” She runs back upstairs to collect gear to search for Michael, when she gets back downstairs Spike coughs up a letter from Princess Celestia, Spike hands it to Twilight so he can finish making breakfast and put it into to-go baggies for the search.

“To my faithful student Twilight Sparkle, This news is unfortunate but due to some royal business I will not be able to assist in the search but I will be sending a few Royal guards to help they shall be there in a few minutes, they are highly trained and will help however they can, You can do this, Your Loving Mentor Princess Celestia,” Spike walk out of the kitchen with several bags of freshly baked biscuits.

“Here take these for the others, I’ll stay here just in case he returns before you find him,” Spike hands her the bags and she places them in her saddlebag, “Please be careful, and find him,” Twilight nods and heads out the door,

=== Somewhere in the EverFree Forest... ===

Dark figures are dragging a tied-up Michael through the Forest, with every heavy step Michael continues to struggle against his bonds to no avail. One of his captors chuckles with a deep voice, “Stupid Hylian, Those ropes are tied tight You never getting out,” The others laugh at Michael as they continue down a path, Michael Slips the rope out of his mouth to speak,

“Where the hell are you taking me!” The one pulling him stops and proceeds to kick Michael in the gut knocking the wind out of him. The Figure laughs and continues down the path.

“Keep quiet Hylian, you’ll find out when we get there,” They all continue to walk down the path coming to a wide river, “This might hurt a bit Hylian,” Michael lets out a huh, before screaming as the figure Throws him across the river when he lands he bounces off the hard ground and rolls into a tree stopping him. The figures all melt into the ground with dark magic and appear on the side of the river that Michael was just thrown to.

One of the figures speaks up, “Goredon, we are almost there sir,” The biggest figure laughs and starts dragging Michael again,

“Good, let’s get this Hylian into the base and lock him up, after that, we have to summon a replacement for Skully,” The smaller figure salutes and they start walking towards their ‘base’.

“I hope you bastards know you’ve made a huge mistake kidnapping me!” Michael’s outburst earned him another kick to the gut but this time the Figure grabs him by his head and holds him up to eye level revealing his captors to be Stalfos from Zelda Ocarina of time.

“I thought I told you to keep quiet Hylian!” The Stalfos Named Goreson tosses Michael back to the ground, “The next word out of you will earn you a lot worse than a kick to the gut,” Michael grits his teeth, Goreson grabs the rope and starts dragging again.

Tael whispers to Michael quiet enough to not be heard by the Stalfos, “Master, you’ve taken critical damage, I’m healing as fast as I can, I would advise keeping your frustration in check before they escalate the damage anymore,” She continues healing Michael’s injuries. Michael nods and keeps his mouth shut as they continue down the path.

=== At the Everfree Entrance ===

Twilight gathered all her friends minus Applejack to help with the search, Applejack was too busy to help and she looked like he hasn’t slept in days, so they started the search without her, 3 of Celestia’s Royal guards arrived to assist carrying Spears and Supplies, One of each race, Earth Pony, Unicorn, and Pegasus.

“Alright, These tracks lead into the Forest, let’s hope whatever took Link hasn’t gone too far!” Twilight turns to the others, “Here’s the plan, Rainbow and the Pegasus Guard will fly ahead following the tracks and fly back if they catch a glimpse of the Ponynappers, The rest of us will follow the tracks on hoof and confront the offenders when we’ve found them,” The others nod with Fluttershy shaking in place, “Fluttershy you’re here to calm any hostile animals that cross the path,” She slowly nods but still shakes in place. “Is everypony ready?” Everypony shouts a yes with Fluttershy whispering it.

“Alright miss Dash, Let’s head in,” The Pegasus Guard and Rainbow fly in following the tracks at high speeds, everyone else starts speed walking conserving their energy,

“I’ll watch our backs,” the Earth Pony Guard salutes and stays a few feet behind the group as they enter the Everfree Forest.

=== A few minutes into the search at the River ===

Rainbow and the Pegasus Guard arrive at the River and the apparent end of the tracks, “Damn the tracks end here,” The guard looks around the bank of the river and spots some suspicious black patches of grass, “What the hay is that?” they crouch near the dark grass,

“It just looks like dark grass to me,” Rainbow pokes the grass revealing dark ooze under the grass once she makes contact with the grass she loses all feeling in her wings, “Ah, what the hay, why can’t I feel my wings any more?!” The dark ooze starts to burn her hand, she flails her hand sending the dark ooze flying through the air towards the river, “Ah, that burned, what is this stuff,” When the ooze flew off her finger feeling in her wings came back, The Guard looks to the river where the ooze landed to see it sizzling out of existence in the water.

“Whatever it is it’s highly acidic and can block magic,” He grabs a baggy from his saddlebag and carefully collects a sample of the ooze using his spear, “I’m going to send this to a lab to get this identified after we rescue our charge,” He puts the bag away and looks around the bank on the other side of the river, Thanks to enhanced Pegasus eyesight he spots more tracks on the other side of the river, “There, more tracks,” He points, Rainbow looks and also spots the tracks, “Go, I’ll catch up, I’m going to leave a note to stay away from the black substance and cross the river,” Rainbow salutes and shoots over the river.

“When I find the jerks who ponynapped you, Link, I’ll teach them a lesson,” She follows the tracks deeper into the forest. After a few minutes into her speedy flight, she arrives at the bridge to the Castle of the two Pony sisters, The tracks lead right over the bridge and into the front gate, “So here’s where they are,” The guard shows up a few seconds later,

“Man, you’re a fast flier, Miss Dash, So they’re in the Old Castle huh?” The Guard looks around the entrance to find any enemy guards and can’t find any, “Looks like they aren’t guarding the entrance, Should we head back and alert the others or stand guard and see if anything changes,” Rainbow thinks for a moment then responds,

“I’ll head back you stay and keep scouting,” The guard Salutes and sneakily scouts out the area, Rainbow starts flying back to the others.

=== Old Castle Dungeons ===

Michael is thrown into a cell by Goreson, “Stay here Hylian, we’ll be back to ‘talk’ in a while,” He laughs and slams the cell door, he turns to the nearest Stalfos, “Guard this cell and don’t let anyone let him out,” The guard salutes and stands in front of the cell door, “And before you think about stealing the key off your guard,” Goreson Pulls a cell key out of his pocket, “I have the key, we aren’t as stupid as you Hylians,” He places the key back in his pocket and walks out of the dungeons.

Michael sits up against the back wall of the cell and whispers to Tael, “Tael any ideas to get me out of here?” She appears next to Michael,

“Let me see if I undo those ropes tied around your hands and feet,” She attempts to untie the ropes to no avail, “They’re too tight for me to undo, I’m sorry,” Michael shakes his head,

“It’s not your fault Tael, you tried, I just hope someone notices I’m gone and searches for me,” Tael lands on Michael’s shoulder, “I can’t believe they jumped me while I was training,”

“I’m sorry I couldn’t get Twilight to help If they saw me they would have separated us,” Michael hangs his head defeated, “I just wonder when they came to this world and who is leading them,”

“Let’s just hope they’re not from the Twilight, I don’t know how I’d be able to cleanse Twilight from Equestria,” Michael slowly stands up using the wall as leverage and hops over to the bed in the cell, “Might as well get some rest, gain a little stamina back from the large amount of training I’ve done these past days, damn bear,” He lies down and closes his eyes to rest,

“I’ll wake you up if anything important happens, get some rest,” Tael disappears from view, after a few minutes Michael Falls asleep.

Hi, My name's Michael, I'm a 24-year-old Autistic man that likes MLP and old N64 games like Zelda Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask!

Just so you all know This is my second story on here and it's my first Displaced and Self-insert Story. Enjoy! If you don't like displaced stories don't read it like one, it's more of a Self-insert than a displaced story.

Prologue: A Very Bad Decision

(Michael, 1st Person POV)

“Come on, Mike.” My best friend said on a video call with me, “Just dress up as one of your favorite characters and join us at the convention man,” I sigh and look away from my camera.

“Fine, but we’re going to eat where I decide for lunch,” I get up off my rolling chair and walk to my closet thinking of who to go as. “I’m either going as Adult Link from Ocarina of Time or Chunky Kong...”

“Yo, go as Link, and have your sister dye your hair golden blonde, that would be hilarious,” My Friend laughs his ass off, “Hell, go like that and I’ll let you decide dinner for the rest of the trip as well,” I turn back towards my computer and smirk.

“Deal, now I just gotta get some hair dye...” I close the video call and walk out of my room while scratching my beard thinking. I walk into my sister’s room while she’s watching youtube, “Hey sis, you got any Golden Blonde hair dye?” My sister’s eyes widen,

“You’re gonna let me dye your hair?!” She yells so that the entire house can hear her, She laughs for a few seconds, “Yeah I got some, but why Golden blond...” She starts smirking, “Ty got you to dress up for the convention, didn’t he...” I shamefully nod my head to which she just laughs and gets the hair dye from her closet, “This is gonna take a full day so let’s get started right now,”

=== 3 days later, The day of the convention ===

“He better like my costume,” I pause to adjust the Leather belts on my costume, “I spent a lotta money making everything look right,” I walk into the convention center and get in line for entry into the convention itself. “Man these wooden replicas are freakin heavy,” I adjust the Master Sword and Hylian Shield replicas on my back and tighten the leather belts holding them on. “I can’t believe I forgot to bring my Ocarina, I hope no one asks to see it for authenticity,” I get to the front of the line and show them my receipt, they give me my lanyard and pass, and I walk into the convention to look for my friend.

“Dude, you made it,” My best friend, Ty, walks up to me from behind and I turn to face him, he’s just a tiny bit taller than me and is wearing normal citizen clothes, “I forgot to dress up but you certainly did,” He chuckles.

“You didn’t dress up on purpose, didn’t you,” I look at him with slight annoyance, he nods and laughs, “Well I did forget my Ocarina at home by accident, so I didn’t perfect the outfit but next time I’m going as Chunky which will be much easier,”

“Wait, I saw a guy selling an Ocarina of time for about 50 Bucks, here let me make it up to ya for forcing you to come with a ridiculous costume on,” He snickers and passes me a 50 Dollar bill, “He’s just back around that corner, he’s got a ton of Video game memorabilia,” He points behind him past a concession stand. “I’ll be playing Smash bros, see you there bro,” He walks off into a game room, I sigh and frown.

“Well, he gave me the cash might as well get it...” I walk around the corner and spot a Merchant polishing his wares, “Uhh...” I pause to clear my Throat, “Excuse me, my friend said you had an Ocarina of time for 50 Bucks?” The Merchant stops polishing a kunai and looks at me with a creepy smile.

“Yes hero of time, I have the Ocarina of time, for just a mear 50 Dollars I can give it to you,” The Merchant reaches below his kiosk and grabs an Ocarina that looks like the real thing.

“Great here, and take a little extra for keeping it sparkling clean good sir,” I hand him 60 Bucks and he hands me the Ocarina.

“*Laughs* Thank you,” He suddenly sounds just like the Merchant From Resident Evil 4, “Go ahead, try it out, I’m sure you can play it just fine,” He turns toward his cash register and puts the money away.

“Sure I’ll try it right now,” I Bring the Ocarina to my lips and play the Song of Time after I play the final note my vision begins to turn black and I fall onto my back. “What’s happening?” I try to get back on my feet but utterly fail.

“Nice performance Link, good luck where you’re going *Laughter*” The Merchant winks and disappears along with all of his wares.

“No wait, what did you do to me...” My vision fades to black and I pass out.

Chapter 2: Nightmare Showdown!

They arrive at a broken bridge leading to The Castle of The Two Sisters, Twilight gasps excitedly. “There it is, the ruins that hold the Elements of Harmony, we made it!” They run ahead not noticing the bridge is out, “We’re almost there...” Twilight notices the fallen bridge and tries to stop but, she still falls over the edge,

“I gotcha,” Michael dives in to help her and catches her hand, “Rainbow, a little help?” Rainbow salutes and flies below Twilight to help her back on to the cliff, “Phew, that was close,” Rainbow lands back on the ground and Chuckles.

“What’s with you and falling off cliffs today?” Twilight groans in annoyance, “But this busted bridge is no problem for Ponyville’s greatest flier!” Rainbow flies into the canyon, grabs the ropes holding the bridge, and starts tieing them on the other side of the gap. Michael spots 3 Ponies in dark bomber jackets and jeans,

“Wait who are they?” Twilight look across the gap at the 3 ponies, “They don’t look too friendly to me,”

“Oh no, Rainbow!” When she says this the lead Pony’s goggles glow and the Fog from the canyon thickens, “Don’t listen to them,” after a few unnerving minutes Rainbow flies over the now repaired bridge, clearing away most of the fog. “Thank Celestia, Good job Rainbow!” Everypony starts crossing the bridge.

“See I never leave my friends hanging,” Rainbow says confidently. They cross the bridge and enter the castle ruins cautiously once they enter a familiar tune begins to play. The castle itself is in bad shape, most of the ceiling is missing, Vines and roots are all over the walls, and overgrown grass and moss is everywhere. In the center of the room is a statue-like object that has 5 orbs with gem patterns on them and a large orb with moss on top of it.

“Come on Twilight,” Applejack says while everypony gathers around the statue, “Isn’t this what you’ve been wait’n for?” Twilight steps closer to the statue.

“The Elements of Harmony, we’ve found them!” Rainbow and Fluttershy fly into the air and start picking the orbs off the Statue and setting them on the ground next to Twilight, “Careful, don’t drop them,” as they finish setting the orbs on the ground pinkie hops forward and counts them,

“One, two, three, four, uh... There’s only five?” Pinkie looks at Twilight worriedly, she recounts them silently then looks at the statue, “Where’s the sixth?” Michael steps up to the statue and examines the Larger Orb,

“You guys think this is an element?” He easily picks up the orb thanks to his [Golden Gauntlets], brushes off the moss revealing a star gem shape on top of it, places it next to Twilight, and holds it steady making sure it doesn’t roll away. “It has a star shape on it, so I would assume it’s one too,” Twilight inspects the big orb, and spots the star shape on top,

“Your right, it is an Element,” She turns back to the smaller elements, “Hold that one there, I’m gonna try magic,” Her horn lights up, “You all may want to stand back, I don’t know what will happen,” The others leave the castle leaving Michael and Twilight with the Elements.

After a few moments of twilight trying some spells, a dark Purple cloud flows in and surrounds the elements, Michael spots the cloud and yells to Twilight, “Twilight, the ‘tackey’ purple cloud is here and it’s got the Elements!” He steps in between Twilight and the cloud, Drawing the [Master Sword] and [Hylian Shield]. "Girls come quick," He shouts and hears the girls outside call for them and Hooves running toward them. The cloud creates a tornado with the Elements strong enough to drag Michael and Twilight into it and Teleports them to another location.

They arrive in another part of the castle with a large explosion of Purple smoke causing both Michael and Twilight to cough a few times, “Where are we now?” Michael waves the Hylian shield to disperse some of the smoke, The smoke dissipates itself Revealing Nightmare Moon, clad in dark blue steel armor, laughing evilly with the Elements, Michael steps forward,

“Give the Elements back!” Nightmare Moon looks at the man with a smirk, “Twilight Stay behind me,” Twilight hides behind Michael and secretly prepares a teleportation spell,

Nightmare Moon chuckles, “Oh heroic fool,” She pauses for a brief moment, “Do you really think you can defeat me, Nightmare Moon!?” Lightning strikes behind her dramatically and Boss Music Starts playing, Text appears at the bottom of Michael’s Vision; ‘Corrupted Princess, Nightmare Moon’, “You don’t stand a chance,” Michael growls and gets into a charging stance,

“I’ll distract her Twilight,” He whispers. “Go for the Elements,” Michael finishes and charges at Nightmare Moon prompting her to charge right back at him with her own weapon, A black Scythe with a crescent moon on its blade, They collide in the middle of the room, Sword to Scythe, Michael is struggling to keep her back, “Twilight now!” Twilight Teleports to the Elements and tries her best to activate them, causing Nightmare Moon to lose focus for a second and allowing Michael to kick her sending her back a little.

She growls with anger, “You will pay for that Foal!” She slashes at Michael with her Scythe but, he blocks it with his Shield just in time, She backs away, creates several orbs of dark magic, and launches them like cannonballs at him, He dodges and blocks all but one of them hitting him in the back sending him flying a few feet across the room.

“Ah, Son of a...” He slowly gets back up turns back toward Nightmare Moon who is heading for Twilight, “Twilight Look out!” He drops his Sword and Shield and gets out his [Fairy Bow] and [Light Arrows], “Hey Nightmare Moon!” She looks toward him and slows down her charge, only to see an Arrow made of Light careening her way, she attempts to dodge it but it hits her in the leg, The arrow itself doesn’t leave a scratch but the Light energy is shocking her making her drop her Scythe and stop her advance.

She struggles against the Light, “Ahhh! What kind of magic is this?!” She attempts to move but the Light is still holding her, Michael puts away the bow, grabs his Sword and Shield, and sprints to Twilight as fast as he can, Nightmare Moon growls in pure hatred, “Oh no you don’t!” Her horn lights up and she tries to cast a spell only for the Light to shock her again causing her horn to fizz out. “I gotta get out of this spell,” She fights against the Light and once Michael gets in between her and Twilight she breaks out of the Light and grabs her Scythe.

“Twilight any time now, I’m not really trained for this,” Michael says a little worried as Nightmare Moon slowly advances on them with a fiery look of rage in her eyes. “Stay back, Nightmare Moon,” He Pauses looking for the right words, “Or else I’ll have to get serious,” She hesitates for a second then continues her advance calling his bluff, The Elements start sparking with magic causing Nightmare Moon too panic.

“No!” Nightmare Moon teleports behind Michael and in front of Twilight and slashes at her with her Scythe, but misses as the Elements throw Twilight away colliding into Michael. The Elements start glowing and rising into the air making Nightmare Moon gasp, but stop and fall to the ground shattering making Twilight gasp and Nightmare Moon Laugh maniacally. “Your efforts have failed, and now the Night will last forever!” Dark energy flows from her Hair and the room starts to darken when suddenly,

“We’re on our way twilight, Keep your guard up Link!” The girls shout as they are getting close to the room, and Twilight has an Epiphany.

She gasps then looks at Nightmare Moon with confidence, “You think you’ve won just because the Elements of Harmony shattered?” She pauses for a moment and the Boss music fades, “Well you’re wrong because the spirits of the Element’s of Harmony,” She pauses as the girls arrive in the room, “Are right here!” She gets up off Michael letting him get back on his feet, and everypony strikes a confident pose making Nightmare Moon growl in anger.

The shards of the Elements Glow and rise into the air confusing Nightmare Moon, “Applejack who reassured me when I was in doubt, represents the spirit of Honesty!” The shards of an Element gravitate around Applejack, “Fluttershy, who tamed the Manticore with her compassion, represents the spirit of Kindness!” Another Element gravitates around Fluttershy, “PinkiePie who banished fear by giggling in the face of danger, represents the spirit of Laughter!” Pinkie is surrounded by an Element, “Rarity who calmed a sorrowful serpent with a meaningful gift represents the spirit of Generosity!” Rarity gets surrounded by an Element too, “And Rainbow Dash, who could not abandon her friends for her own heart’s desire, represents the spirit of Loyalty!” Rainbow strikes a heroic pose and is surrounded by an Element.
“The spirits of these five ponies got us through every challenge you threw at us,” Nightmare Moon interjects,

“You still don’t have the sixth element, the spark didn’t work!” She flairs her wings in anger.

“But it did, a different kind of spark,” She turns to her friends, “I felt it the very moment I realized how happy I was to hear you, to see you, how much I cared about you, the spark ignited inside me when I realized that you all are my friends,” The large shattered orb sparks to life and gathers around Twilight. “You see Nightmare Moon when those Elements are ignited by the,” She paused to think for a second, “The spark, that resides in the heart of us all, it creates the sixth element, the Element of Magic!” The Elements all glow a bright white and transform into necklaces for Rarity, Applejack, Rainbow, Fluttershy, and Pinkie, and Twilight’s Element transforms into a crown, once the Elements are in their new forms the girls all float together, and a Beam of Rainbow energy shoots directly at Nightmare Moon and surrounds her in a Rainbow Tornado.

A bright light fills the room for a few seconds, once the light dissipates all the girls are on the ground exhausted, they all shakily get up, “Everypony ok?” Applejack asks, Michael nods and sheaths his Sword & Shield, then Rarity chimes in,

“Oh thank goodness,” Her tail has magically grown back,

“Why Rarity, it’s so lovely,” Fluttershy adds,

“I know, I’ll never part with it again,” Rarity flips her tail around and admires its regrown glory,

“No, your necklace, it looks just like your cutie mark,” Fluttershy points out,

“Gee Twilight, I thought you just spouting out a lotta hooey, but I reckon we really do represent the Elements of Harmony,” Applejack says,

“Indeed you do,” A bright golden light shines from a window and the sun rises over the horizon, Celestia appears from the golden light and lands with grace, EveryPony but Twilight and Michael bow for Celestia.

Twilight gasps and walks over to Celestia, “Princess Celestia,”

“Twilight Sparkle,” They hug, “My faithful student, I knew you could do it,” Celestia states with a smile,

“But you told me it was all an old pony tale,” Twilight says confused,

“I told you to make some friends,” Celestia paused for a moment, “Nothing more,” She looks to the others in the room, “I saw the signs of Nightmare Moon’s return, and I knew it was you, who had the magic inside to defeat her,” She looks back at Twilight, “But you could not unleash it until you let true friendship into your heart,” Twilight looks at her friends happily, “Now if only another will as well, Princess Luna,” they all look toward where Nightmare Moon was and see a new Alicorn in her place, “It has been a thousand years since I have seen you like this,” Luna trembles in fear at her sister, “Time to put our differences behind us, we were meant to rule together, little sister,” Everypony but Celestia and Luna gasp, “Will you accept my friendship?”

Luna stands up and hugs Celestia tight, “I’m so sorry,” She sniffles, “I missed you so much, big sister,” Celestia hug back even tighter,

“I missed you too,” Celestia and Luna have tears running down their faces, and Pinkie is crying uncontrollably,

She stops suddenly and gasps, “Do you know what this calls for?” Pinkie breaths deeply and yells, “A Party!”

As everypony is leaving the castle, Celestia and Luna stop Michael to talk to him, “Thank you for protecting Twilight, it means a lot to me,” Michael bows on his knee, “What is your name brave warrior?” Michael stands up and looks at her.

“My name is Michael, but as of right now, I go by Link,” Michael stands in a serious pose. “I’m here to protect the innocent and vanquish evil,” He finishes and Celestia Smiles.

“Well met hero, would you care to join us in Ponyville to celebrate the return of my sister?” Michael bows on one knee again,

“It would be my honor, your Majesties,” Michael stands back up and joins the others on their trek back to Ponyville.

==== Back in Ponyville ===

All of the townsfolk are celebrating the return of Princess Luna, Pinkie decorated the entire town with party decorations, As the party is happening Twilight is sitting in a corner looking sad about something, Celestia walks over and sits next to her,

“Why so glum my faithful student?” Celestia pauses, “Are you not happy your quest is complete, and you can return to your studies in Canterlot? Twilight looks down,

“That’s just it,” She paused for a moment, “Just when I learn how wonderful it is to have friends, I have to leave them,” A tear falls from Twilight’s eye,

“Spike, take a note please,” Spike, a dragon just a head shorter than twilight, grabs a quill and parchment from his pockets, “I, Princess Celestia, hereby decree, that the unicorn Twilight Sparkle shall take on a new mission for Equestria, she must continue to study the magic of friendship, she must report to me her findings from her new home in Ponyville,” The girls cheer and gather around Twilight for a group hug,

“Thank you, Princess Celestia, I’ll study harder than ever before,” Twilight spots Michael sitting alone with a serious look on his face, Celestia follows her gaze and stands up to go talk with Michael. Celestia sits across from Michael at the table he is at,

“Is something wrong, Michael?” He looks at Celestia and nods slowly, “Please tell me what’s wrong young hero,” Michael straightens in his chair,

“I just remembered I have nowhere to go...” He closes his eyes, “No family to go back to, no friends to go to, not even a home to return to,” Despite his previous actions and behavior, Michael sheds a tear for his lost life, “Princess, can you help me, can you give me someplace to call home?” He opens his eyes and looks at her,

She shakes her, “I cannot help you,” She pauses and smiles, “But I think, somepony else can,” Twilight slowly walk over to them having heard the entire conversation,

“Michael, you can stay with me, There’s an extra bedroom in the Library that you can have,” Michael slowly get up and hugs Twilight,

“Thank you Twilight, I couldn’t ask for a better friend,” She happily hugs back, after a few seconds the other girls join the hug for another group hug with spike joining in too,
