Sky Chaser was always had a thirst for an adventure, but as she grows into her angsty rebellious teen years she decides to leave the safety of her home town Sunken City. Has she made the worst mistake or best decision of her life? The wastelands are an unforgiving place, can 17 year old Sky Chaser survive on her own, or will she need the help of friends made along the way?

"Tomorrow is the night I leave this damn fucking city!"

I muttered to myself as I prepared to meet my friend Silver Mane, and tell him my plan. I wasn't sure how he'd react but I had a fair guess. I snuck out the window and down the fire escape like every other time I snuck out. I began to trot towards the unused storage room we always met in. As I was walking down 4th street I saw a guard, and ducked behind a trash can in a dark ally. He shone his flashlight down the alley but didn't see me. I resumed my walk to the storage room and got there shortly after Silver Mane.

"Did you bring the stuff?" I asked.

"No, I just left it at my house."He answered sarcastically, then pulled out 3 large tightly rolled blunts, and 2 and a half mickeys(200ml) of Applejack Daniels whiskey.

"Perfect!" I said shoved the mini-mickey in my jacket pocket with my bottle of Clonazepam.

"Hell yeah, let's do this." He excliamed.

I picked up the first blunt and lit it, took 3 puffs and passed it to Silver Mane. I reached into my pocket to read over my note and realizied I had left it on my desk.

"Oh fuck." I mumbled.

"What?" Asked Silver Mane.

"Looks like I'm leaving Sunken City tonight!" I excliamed nervously as I cracked the seal on the Applejack Daniels and poured us both shot, and explained my plan to Silver Mane.

"Wow..." Silver Mane slurred, as he cracked the seal on the second bottle.

"Genius right!?" I inquired

"You're fucking insane."He retorted.

"Whatever man." I said, slipping the last blunt into my pocket. I chugged down half the bottle of Applejack straight and left Silver with his share. I began to move towards the exit, 12 floors up. I dived ducked and snuck all the way up to floor 3 when a siren sounded and flashing lights went off.

"Sunken City is now entering lock down, you have 15 minutes to return to your homes, anyone found outside after the 15 minutes will be brought to justice."

"Shit, my parents ratted me out!" I mumbled angrily.

I bolted for the stairs, and ran up as fast as my hooves could take me, I had no choice. I was so close! There was no way I could get this far and not make it. I bolted up to floor one and came to a thick iron door. I entered the keyless code which I found in the Mayors computer. The door swung open and I was greeted by 5 guards. I swooped over top of them punching out the guard in the back from behind. He was the only one with a gun, which I took. I then aimed the pistol between the eyes of one of the guards.

"You wouldn't dare, Sky Chaser!"He challenged.

I smirked widely and shot both of his front hooves, and dashed for the door control panel while the other guards rushed to help him. I hit unlock, and the massive doors slid open letting in a stream of extremely bright orange light. I dashed out and was greeted by a desert wasteland burned and scorched dead trees lying everywhere. It was nothing like the books. I turned around to be greeted by closing doors, I ran back but I was too late.

"No! Let me back in! I can't live up here! There is nothing to live off! PLEASE!!" I cried.

This was the life I chose, I was stuck on the surface, I was never going back to Sunken City. It was sunrise, and there was much time to explore, so I began to wander. Searching in desperation for some shred of civilization left...

As I began to trot away, I heard hooves stamping behind me.

"Sky!! I'm here!" It was Silver Mane.

"Silver Mane, why? You could have had a perfect life back down in Sunken City. Why did you follow me?" I inquired, actually quite curious.

"Sky I... uh.. I..." He began to blush. "Sky Chaser... I LOVE YOU!!" He managed to blurt out.

"HA! Thanks Silver Mane, I'm flattered but-- Take a look around you, You've never been outside of Sunken before. This is the friendzone, take a good look. You're going to spend the rest of your life here." I teased.

Silver Mane grunted and collapsed on the ground, I kept trotting on.

"Come on you lazy ass, if you don't get up I'm going to shoot you. A pony with no motivation is of no use to me!"

He got up, without saying a word, and our adventure began...

Introduction

Sky Chaser was always a very curious and adventuresome young filly, wether it was sneaking into the sewers or into restricted areas in her home town Sunken City(which is misleading because Sunken City is underground not underwater.) she could never get enough adventure. She was always wondering about things adults feared to question, and dispite her parents trying to discipline her into an ideal citizen the spirit of adventure lived on in Sky Chaser. The citizens of Sunken City had been in sunken city for nearly 200 years now, when an asteroid threatened to destroy Equestria Sunken City was constructed deep under ground to save many ponies. Sky Chaser grew into her teens and became dissatisfied with the limitations of the massive Sunken City, knowing the sruface only from pictures and stories. Sky Chaser became a very rebellious teen as her desire to leave Sunken City grew more and more, drinking and smoking and sneaking out late to investigate the city's exit and break into high clearance level areas. Soon Sky Chaser had collected enough imformation to plan an escape from Sunken City onto the surface, oh indeed it was a master plan. She was sure it would work! Nothing could go wrong, she told herself! She wrote a note explaining to her parents what she was doing but before leaving it on her desk for her parents to find she had some things to take care of...
