Starlight woke up and looked at her calendar and saw that today was Hearts and Hooves Day, she was a bit excited because it was a reminder she had friends who care about her and loved her for who she was, she even had a special some pony who she valued a lot. While she was thinking about this she heard a pop sound, when Starlight looked behind her she found Twilight standing next to her.
"Ah, Twilight what are you doing here?" Starlight asked in confusion to which Twilight began embracing Starlight.
"Oh I just wanted to say Happy Hearts and Hooves Day to my closest friend." Twilight answered in a suggestive tone while raising both eyebrows.
Starlight blushed at this, she did have some feelings for Twilight but she felt a little awkward at how Twilight worded that.
"Uh, are you sure I'm your closest friend Twilight? What about Spike?" Starlight hesitantly asked.
"Spike's more of my brother, but you're right perhaps you're not just my closest friend, hint, hint." Twilight responded in that same tone of voice she used earlier while wrapping a hoof around Starlight.
Starlight began to think was Twilight was flirting with her? She never expected this to happen and she was beginning to feel nervous about it but she was also enjoying it but Starlight realized she needed to see Trixie because she wanted Starlight to see her 'Great and Powerful' gift.
"Well, I'd love to know what you think of me as later, but I promised Trixie I'd come over to see what gift she made me. I'll see you later Twilight." Starlight said before teleporting out of the castle.
Twilight was starting to feel sad, Trixie was going to steal her Starlight away from her, and that worried Twilight so she began panicking. Fortunately Spike overheard this and walked up to Twilight.
"Twilight, are you okay?" Spike asked in concern.
"Ah Spike, right on time, I have just hit a romantic crisis, Trixie is going to steal my Starlight away from me." Twilight explained in fear.
"Your Starlight?" Spike asked in confusion.
"Yes MY Starlight, plus this shouldn't even be possible, according to my chart of possible love interests for Starlight, I am the most likely pony she would fall in love with." Twilight said while levitating the chart to Spike.
"How come you ended up being the most likely pony? That's a bit bias and egotistical." Spike asked.
"It is not, I used logic, the only other possible love interests she could have are you, Trixie, Sunburst, Maud, Thorax, and Pharynx. Pharynx is too much of a punk, Thorax doesn't talk to her much, Maud has a boyfriend, and Sunburst may have been competition at first but he broke her heart and caused her too much pain in the past so she could never date him, I considered you competition at first but you are too interested in Rarity." Twilight explained.
Spike mentally sighed in relief, he is sort of attracted to Starlight but he wouldn't let Twilight know that. "How come you thought Trixie wasn't a threat?" Spike asked to change the topic away from him.
"I figured with their many arguments and the bottle incident Starlight told me about, Starlight would never consider her a possible love interest, I guess I may have made a miscalculation." Twilight answered in anger.
"Well they are best friends so they could have gained feelings for each other." Spike guessed.
Twilight then began to hyperventilate, if Starlight did begin to have feelings for Trixie she needed to make sure that Trixie didn't seduce Starlight into her evil hooves.
"Y'know Spike, you might be right I'm gonna go make sure Starlight isn't in love with Trixie." Twilight said.
"Is that really necessary Twilight." Spike asked concerned.
"Sorry my number one assistant but you'll understand why I need to do this when you're older." Twilight apologizes in a sincere tone of voice.
"I'm 16." Spike stated.
"You know what I mean, Good bye for now." Twilight said before teleporting away.
"Oh boy this is gonna be a long Hearts and Hooves Day, I'll see if Rarity's available." Spike commented to himself.
Meanwhile Starlight walked to Trixie's trailer still a bit unnerved by how flirty Twilight acted this morning, at least she'd have her best friend to give her some advice. Starlight knocked on Trixie's trailer.
Trixie looked outside her trailer window with a smile on her face, it was her Great and Powerful friend Starlight Glimmer, at long last she would be able to show Starlight her love, she knew Starlight would adore her once she saw how Great and Beautiful she was. Trixie opened the trailer with a smile on her face.
"Ah Starlight, please come in, your great and powerful gift is inside." Trixie said welcoming Starlight inside.
"Thanks Trixie, it is a bit cramped but I suppose I can manage." Starlight said.
"Thank you, here is the Sweet and Thoughtful Trixie's gift." Trixie boasted and then levitated Starlight some chocolates that were in a heart shaped box which touched Starlight.
"Aw thank you, Trixie." Starlight said gratefully.
"You're welcome Starlight, Trixie is glad you appreciate her special gift." Trixie said while wrapping her hoof around Starlight's frame which sent some shivers up Starlight's spine since Trixie's never touched her in that way before, and she began blushing since she also had feelings for Trixie too. She felt guilty for this since it felt wrong for her to have feelings for two of her friends but she felt special around both Twilight and Trixie. Trixie then began petting Starlight's coat which made Starlight's cheeks heat up even more, which Trixie began to notice.
"Starlight are you enjoying the Great and Comforting Trixie's massage." Trixie asked.
"Yes I am Trixie." Starlight unconciously said with drooped eyelids.
The door than slammed open interrupting Starlight and Trixie's intimate moment, the two of them looked to see Twilight who seemed to be infuriated.
Twilight flew in between Starlight and Trixie and glared at Trixie and began ranting.
"I can't believe you Trixie, you disgust me, you were using physical seduction on Starlight, you know how emotionally vulnerable she is." Twilight ranted.
"So what, the Great and Powerful Trixie was just showing her best friend some physical affection as she desires to be Starlight's mare-friend. Besides why do you care? She is not your property Princess." Trixie argued.
Starlight was shocked at this, Trixie just admitted to loving her.
"I care because Starlight is the best thing that ever happened to me, and I love her too." Twilight answered in anger.
"You both love me?" Starlight asked, making Twilight and Trixie stop arguing and realize that Starlight heard them both confess to loving her.
"I honestly didn't know if I could tell you both this but I love you both too, I probably should've told you both, I'm so sorry." Starlight said in remorse.
"Starlight, it's not your fault, I got carried away I'm so sorry." Twilight apologizes.
"Indeed, the Humble and Apologetic Trixie admits she also got carried away, I am deeply sorry." Trixie apologizes.
"Thanks guys, but what do we do now? I love you both, but I can't decide who I wanna be with more." Starlight asked in confusion.
Discord then pops in unexpectedly but he's more small than usual, which surprised the three mares.
"Forgive my small stature but this wagon is so cramped, but I believe there is a way for Starlight to decide who should be her future mare-friend." Discord said.
Discord then poofed up a game show arena with Starlight on the judge table, Trixie and Twilight were both sitting in contestant chairs and Discord was in an announcer's chair.
"Welcome to Pick a Mare, where our lucky contestants will be competing for the affections of Starlight Glimmer." Discord announced to a crowd full of Discord clones.
Starlight began sweating, she had a big choice to make.

Starlight was still a bit overwhelmed by what was going on but she figured if this was the way to choose who she loves she would try it out.
“Twilight and Trixie, I have given you some questions about Starlight I will be asking and she will tell you if you’re right or wrong have fun you lustful little mares, oh I mean charming little friends.” Discord instructed.
Discord then read a cue card and asked “Question #1 what is Starlight’s favorite hobby?”
“That is easy, it is assisting the Great and Powerful Trixie with her magic shows.” Trixie boastfully stated.
“Unlike the Great and Egotistical Trixie, I actually know what it is, it’s kite flying.” Twilight answered.
“Twilight got it right, sorry Trixie.” Starlight announced.
“Impossible, how is kite flying more fun than helping me with magic shows?” Trixie asked.
“Cough Saddle Arabia Trip Cough” Twilight smugly responded.
“Shut up.” Trixie commanded at Twilight.
“I mostly help Trixie because while I like helping her with magic I also like just being with Trixie.” Starlight answered making Twilight frown a bit while Trixie smiled at that answer.
“Trixie can cope with that.” Trixie responded.
“Question #2: What stressed out Starlight the most?” Discord asked.
“I believe it was the time she did her first friendship problem.” Twilight guessed.
“And who’s fault was that?” Trixie sarcastically asked, to which Twilight glared at.
“Trixie remembers it was when she went to the village to the Sunset Festival.” Trixie answered.
“Yep Trixie got that right.” Starlight responded.
“Ha, take that Princess Twilight.” Trixie bragged.
“Oh please that was Beginner’s luck.” Twilight countered with a jealous glare.
“Question #3 What is Starlight’s biggest regret?” Discord asked.
“Her actions as a villain.” Twilight and Trixie both answered.
“Yep you got that right.” Starlight awkwardly responded.
“Well I guess no one won that round, so we’ll have to try another game, our next round will be Truth or Splash.” Discord mischievously said.
Starlight, Twilight, and Trixie groaned, this was going to be a long day.
