Trixie's new helper

A new beginning

It was spring time in ponyville as you were walking over to the Caravan that every mare and colt were talking about outside your house. Now this was nothing new to you, everypony gathering to see what the hell was going on was kind of a natural thing you'd see every day. But one mare mentioned that a certain blue unicorn had come back into town looking to put her life back together, which made you blush a deep red as you knew exactly who they were talking about. None other than Trixie Lulamoon, the showmare herself. Every time she was in town, you were first in line to see her. And today it seems like she also wants to announce that she'll choose somepony in the audience to be her helper for the entire day, which really made you wanna go. So as soon as you bought your ticket, you were lucky enough to sit in the front row amongst a few couples who didn't mind your presence. 'This is so cool...' You thought as you sat down in your seat, waiting for the show to start. 'If I get to be her helper, than I might die happy.'

And then the lights started to fade just a bit with music starting as the stage lit up, which signaled that the show was about to start. 'Here she comes...' You thought in your own head as you heard a familiar feminine voice boom around the stage. "Fillies and gentle-colts, prepare to be amazed! And have a night you will never forget... Now please welcome the mare of the hour.... The one, the only, great and genuine Trixie!" As soon as her name was spoken, she teleported onto the stage like she was summoned from heaven itself. She was so beautiful in your eyes. Her blue fur, her purple eyes, even her purple cape and matching hat were all so perfectly worn on her body. And now, you were on the edge of your seat, memorizing every detail of her as she looked over the crowd.

"What a wonderful crowd we have tonight, and from what I've been hearing... We have a human with us to." She said in her usual smug yet gleeful expression, but the mention of a human made your eyes shoot open. 'Did she just say what I think she said? Is she talking about me?' You thought as you just stared back at her while she scanned the crowd, but she then looked in your direction and she looked mesmerised.

You look over both of your shoulders to make sure you're not sitting near another human, only to see most of everypony, minus the cute mare couple on your left, were all looking at you as if they saw a dragon instead of a human. And as soon as you looked back at Trixie, she was giving you a hand motion that signaled you to stand up. To which you complied without hesitation, and as soon as you did, she then teleported you on stage with her. Now this had never happened to you before, usually you just sat there in the front row and watch her show play out as usual. But today? She actually invited you on stage, and now you could see her beauty up close. Which made you blush a bit deeper. "What is your name sir?" She asked you politely as she was still using her usual on-stage persona to seem appealing to the entire crowd, who were all now looking at you with the excitement that you have when you see Trixie. "M-My name is Anon." You said as you stuttered a little out of nervousness, stage fright wasn't really happening at this moment. It was you being flustered while having your secret crush ACTUALLY talking to you. "Anon, nice name... Now Anon, how long have you lived in Equestria?" She asked you as she looked as curious as a kid looking at their future pet, hoping to be on good terms with the blue unicorn. You answered as honestly as you can. "About 10 years ." as soon as those words left your mouth, you feel like you were making a biography about yourself with this gorgeous showpony being the author. "10 years, such a long time for a creature that everypony knows almost nothing about." She replied with a warming and welcoming smile, a smile that made your heart flutter like butterflies in the spring back on Earth.

"I'm not THAT interesting, am I?" You asked out of both instinct and curiosity. While you thought nothing much of yourself, Pinkie also made it clear once or twice that everypony was curious about humans on Earth. To which you dodged her questions with a simple 'I'm not one to focus on other humans' Excuse.

"Yes you are Anon, I've heard about you through a friend of mine. And I couldn't help but wonder if we'd ever meet during one of my shows. And here you are now, standing before my very eyes. The first human in centuries. But that is small talk compared to getting to know the 'man' behind the legend, you." Trixie said seconds later, which snapped you out of your little daze. She also had a clip board in her hands, and she seemed to be writing something on it while she was talking to you. As much as you wanted to ask her what she was writing down, you decided it was best to let that slide since you'd hate to spoil the mood. "Well I'm an average citizen here in ponyville, I'm still unemployed. But I have a few part-time jobs across town." You said to Trixie with pure honesty, and she immediately had a smile of genuine glee while still in her showmare persona. "One as a baker in Sugercube Corner, one as a painter, one as a substitute teacher, and one as a janitor... Am I right?" She asked as she some how listed all of your side jobs in full detail to you. 'Holy shit... She's good.' You thought in your own head as you made a mental note to check behind yourself for anyone who looked like they worked for her, or even took a note on what you'd be doing.

"That's all true, and I've been making enough bits to afford a small house not far from here." You said with genuine kindness to the showmare, feeling comfortable with her having knowledge of where you live, your financial situation, and unemployment.

To be continued....
