Chapters Emerald woke up in a green, sticky but smooth goo. She rose her hoof infront of her to see that there's a solid shell ahead from her. It also looked green but with a darker shade. She also saw that there were holes in her hoof. She saw a blur everywhere she looked. She then felt a tingle on her back and looked there to see a pair of wings. That when she saw a crack. She turned around and started to push the crack in the egg. And she broke out in a flood of goo flowing from the egg. The goo soaked in the ground. The moon hanged from above and the trees leaves covered all the sky except one spot where the moonlight shone. Flowers were everywhere she looked and the wind blew. Emerald was scared at first but she calmed down. Then a herd of rabbits came tumbling down with apples causing Emerald to jump in fear and start running. She saw flames circle her but they did not hurt her. Instead she ran though them. Not too far away a pony name AppleJack were chasing the thieves from the Apple orchard, Sweet Apple Acres.
"Come back her' yo varmints!" she yelled. She cared deeply about her apples, friends and family. She just met Twilight two days ago and she was the best pony she met yet. Meanwhile Emerald was up in a tree. From all the running she did from the rabbits, she was exhausted. She rose her hoof to see that it changed to holes and black to pale peach fur and teal mane with sliver stripes.
"There yar are. You okay?" Applejack said to the foal. She nodded her head yes in response and got up on her hoofs. She walked to Applejack before stumbling on a stick and falling down.
"You all alone? Where your parents...If you have any.."she realized that not all foals have parents and she may have brought back very bad memories to this foal.
"I have parents... It just I woke up to see myself in here. I really a mess right now. My name is Emerald Iris." she half-lied. Applejack agreed to take care of her for now until she can find some ponies to live with and be her parents. She can tell that something is special about her. And Emerald can feel something falling off from her. She then took her back to her home.
Back at the barn...
Back at the farm everypony were getting ready for bed. Apple bloom was already asleep while Granny Smith And Big Mac were in their rooms. A little bit later, everyone was asleep except Applejack and Emerald. She was on Applejack bed while Applejack was getting a sleeping bag for herself. Soon enough, Applejack was sleeping on the floor of her room while Emerald was still wide awake. She was processing what happened this night and what she should do next.
'Good testing subject. Here's a hypno spell.' said the voice before showing Emerald mind a page that shows a hypno spell.
"Thanks Chrysalis." she said. She looked at it and started to cast the spell. The bunny was shocked to see a Changeling and it started to run, just before it realized it couldn't because it was holded on to a magical grip.
In the morning..
"Emerald, wake up!" Applejack said as Emerald nose filled up with the smell of pancakes from the kitchen.
"Now it time to follow my lead, so it is not for you to be the one to flee. Your actions will be binded to me, or everything will burn because of greed." she recited. Applejack tried to run but as of now, she was hopeless like the rabbit.

‘Okay, your dead. He probably going to turn you in into the royal capital. Then you get executed because of my actions.’
“So where are you from and what do you want? I got granny’s gun if you don’t answer.”
Emerald shook her head yes as she was planning to be quiet for the talk.
“So you don’t know how to speak...okay I let you go, I wasn’t ready for this anyways.”
AppleJack got up and started to walk away. When she wasn’t in sight, Emerald ran away into the overgrowth.

Ash came down from the stairs with Emerald. The smell of oil and pancakes filled the air as they walked to the kitchen. There was Big Mac and Granny Smith sitting next to the table and Ash and Emerald took their seat.
"Dearie AppleJack, we been calling you for the past ten minutes and we heard noise from upstairs. Ya okay-wait you have a foal?" Granny Smith said as her eyebrows raised.
'Oh yeah I forgot. You need stealth. Can't do much without it.' Chrysalis said. Emerald didn't even know what Chrysalis was talking about but nodded to herself anyways. Meanwhile Ash was spacing out because he didn't receive an order to respond.
'Respond to Granny Smith' ordered Emerald. She figured that if she can say it, she can think it. And it worked as 'AppleJack' responded with,
"Oh sorry Granny, I found this little one out in the Everfree forest. Isn't she quite a cutie. I bet Applebloom and the others would like a new cutie mark crusader." she said, ending the sentence with a pat on Emerald head. She smiled as she contuined the act.
"Okay AppleJack but tell us next time this happens, okay?" Big Mac said. Ash nodded and started eating her share of the pancakes. Later everyone finished and left for work on the orchards. Big Mac and 'AppleJack' was working on the north side of the fields as Granny smith was making Apple cider in the barn. Emerald was in 'AppleJack' room as Chrysalis were teaching Emerald tactics and ways to corrupt or, mind control ponies. The rabbit hiding in the closet was once again on her shoulder.
'Now on the new ways to corrupt an pony mind, you don't need to use magic sometimes. You can use an cocoon like the one you hatched from. It useful when you out of magic. Other changelings can do it too but if you do it, the changeling will be more stronger. Another way is inplant a changeling egg into an pony mind. It takes control of the pony and it more likely for it to be not found. Though it hard to have the right timing to do it.' she said. 'Now we have two options, make here your changeling production building or make it somewhere else, like an basement in another building. Now that you know what to do for those scenarios.'
Emerald nodded and snapped back to reality. She got up from the chair and went to Ash Fang who was with Big Mac in the orchard. She was leading him to the south fields where the vampire fruit bats resided. Big Mac tried to reason to her why they should go there but Ash had most of the ground.
"Come on Mac, ah know where we goin'." Ash said. Big Mac nodded his had and went with Ash in the eerie orchard. They went into an abandoned barn that been decaying behind the scenes. He hesitated to go in before 'AppleJack' stopped to assure him that this is safe. They started to trot into the barn when Emerald finally catched up to Ash. She closed the doors which made him even more nervous. The room was dark with AppleJack not in sight. Emerald walked behind him quietly as he went deeper into the barn.
'You're sure you want him first? He pretty strong for an young stallion.' Chrysails said. Emerald ignored her as she breathed in. She quickly put sticky slime on his feet before darting away before Mac saw her.
"What the-" Big Mac said before he felt something stick his mouth stuck.
"Good job Ash Fang." Emerald said. She lit up the room for Big Mac as he saw two changelings in front of him.
"We will be quick, right Ash?"
"Yes Queen."
"I want you to do the honors. Not because I'm lazy, because it will be nice to taste the betrayal."
"Okay..." Ash said.
"Wat du u men?" Big Mac mumbled.
"You brother Applejack had became useful. And you will too."
If Big Mac wasn't sweating before, he sure was now. Ash trotted away a few feet before opening up her insect wings and flew fast at Big Mac forehead. She knocked him out and started to build an cocoon.

A few days later...
Emerald was in Twilight tree-library in her room. She was surrounded with five ponies and one dragon which were caged in her magic. The cyan one will the rainbow hair was trying to break free will brute force while the other one were trying to think of an plan...in front of her. She would facehoof right here on the spot if she could, but the amount of energy the pegasus was taking, she was forced to stay still.
She had grown from a tiny Changeling to a much bigger one. Her hair and tail was peacock blue, her insect wings were like every changeling else, an teal-ish color but they were bigger than Chrysalis’ wings and her was sparkling. Her eyes were an eerie green. She had an horn, but instead of holes running through it, it’s was just plain. It was easier to her to cast spell in the state than have holes running through her not so secret weapon. Everything else was an bigger version of her baby self.
Anyways, the colorful ponies finish both their stamina and their plan. they were sleeping on the spot. She didn’t really listened to their little chit-chat as she was thinking if she should just leave them alone and just take their magic. Her magic capacity has grown a lot since she been eating magic. It was useful because it allowed her to make a lot of spells even normal unicorns can’t cast.
That what make changelings better. She already took this whole town.
Then she suspected that they were trying to play dead. The pinkie pony was the only one awake and giving out they play. Guess they really didn’t finish their stamina. No worries there...
“Their magic is what i really need, because I need to sate my greed. They shouldn’t be able to move, so all movement will be removed.”
And the candle flickered.
She felt she was pumped with adrenaline as soon as she finished. What were they holding?
“Pinkie...” the purple one said. She looked annoyed even though they were almost out of power. All of them were. She guessed the pink one was Pinkie. Make sense. Pinkie was filled with guilt and her mane and tail flatten. She then looked to the dragon which got left out of the spell. He stared in horror in what just happened to his friends. His stare turn into a glare at Emerald.
“You. Will. Pay.” He stated. She blew fire out his mouth and Emerald dropped him. He ran to her with death in his eyes while Emerald stayed calm. She dodged his attacks with ease as he kept on shooting fire at her. She grabbed him with her magic and twisted his neck.
“NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! ” said the purple one. Emerald flinched before looking daggers at her. She was crying her eyes out and it felt... good to taste the misery.
“What’s your name? I haven’t asked you since I came here in a hurry.”
“I-I’m Twilight.”
“Well Twilight, meet circle of life. He was going to die either way. Now please shut up.” as Emerald sneered. She wanted more reactions. More pain!
That shocked Twilight and she just sobbed quietly.
“Now it time to follow my lead, so it is not for you to be the one to flee. Your actions will be binded to me, or everything will burn because of greed." Emerald recited. Twilight eyes turned light green as everyone saw the event turned dark. She bowed to Emerald and she ate up the praise. Emerald turned to the rest of them, signaling ‘Your next.’
A few minutes and spells later...
Emerald was on the train to Canterlot as an unicorn foal so she has the highway to Princess Celestia and Luna. She brought ‘AppleJack' too as a part of the plan. They didn’t make contact with anyone on the train for reasons. As soon as they got to Canterlot she dashed to the streets of Canterlot. She telled ‘AppleJack’ to bring her to the building where Celestia test for gifted unicorns. They went there and went inside. The reception for the place was not nearly as crowded as the outside, for ponies were standing in just two lines. Input and Output. Soon enough It was their turn.
"Welcome to Celestia School for Gifted Unicorns. How can I help you today." said the receptionist.
"Ah like to test this little filly out." said 'AppleJack'
"That be 70 bits please."
Ash handed the money bag to the receptionist. The receptionist pointed to the room on the left where test starts. So Ash and Emerald went to the room. Applejack was seated on the side while the testing room were filled with four ponies. They were on an bleacher and were holding notes already saying A+ on most of them. A few minutes later, a cart with an Dragon egg was pushed in to see how the 'filly' would break it. Emerald breathed in and out before focusing her magic on the egg. A few of the judges lowered their glasses as the egg were breaking. She used a tiny bit extra magic when things started happening. And of course, she caught the Princess eyes.

Okay, 'a tiny bit extra magic' is a understatement. She kinda almost destroyed the whole School.
When she opened the Egg, instead of a dragon coming out of the egg, a little black snake was there. He flicked his tongue as he watched the outburst the filly were making. Ash Fang was getting blown away as the judges were holding the chairs for dear life. Princess Celestia, who was watching from the window of her room, teleported to the uncommon outburst. She haven't seen that much magic being pent up in a little filly since Twilight was her student. What she saw in the room was chaos. It was almost like Twilight's outburst, but very more crazy. If she wasn't a filly she would have thought she was the heir to Discord.
Things were everywhere. Books acting like birds, everyone had turned into a object, everything was floating, and worse of all, there was a beam powering up. She snapped out of her thinking and started to calm to filly. And to her favor, it worked. Emerald saw her and ended the chaos. Everyone turned back into a pony and Ash Fang stayed AppleJack.
"It seems everything is okay now, right?" Celestia said. Everyone except AppleJack bowed down to their princess. She faced Emerald who had a blank face.
"You have a great magical aura that can rival Starswirl, little filly. Would you like to be my personal student?"
She nodded yes as Celestia and smiled. AppleJack shook her head around before coming to Celestia side. With her trust, Emerald couldn't wait for the day she becomes Queen of Equestria. Maybe even other lands too!
A few close calls and years later...
Emerald was in her bed 'sleeping' in the middle of the night. She was using the hive mind to contact her army of Changelings which were already coming her way. She got up from bed when she thought the coast were clear and rushed to Luna's room. Ever since she enrolled in the school, Luna and Celestia teached her. She knew that even if Luna her younger sister, she had more power than Celestia. She would have to beat her first before having fun with Celestia.
She stood in front of the door where Luna resided. She heard a slight buzz here and there when she listened. She opened to door to see Luna standing in the middle of the room. She readied herself before feasting on Luna love.
'It tastes like an refreshing drink of orange juice with ice.' she thought. Luna face twitched from a poker face to a stressful one. Emerald kept on feasting on her love until he heard a knock on the door. She quickly hid in the shadows before they opened the door. She saw a changeling come in and she was calm again. She came out of the shadows and the changeling bowed down to her.
'Hello queen, I thought you be here. ' it said. Emerald looked closer to the changeling and saw it was Twilight. She liked to make her suffer but after all these years, she was still loyal. She smiled at her with a grin that meant trouble. She took Twilight and placed her on the bed and went back to Luna. She finished up her love and magic before grabbing her with magic that barely can be noticed and teleported to her room. Twilight sat thee, waiting for her Queen to come back to play with her.
Emerald was preparing for the day she would do this and it was finally time. She had some chains to tie her up with and some equipment like a hammer that was big as her hoof. When she was ready, she woke up Luna with the chains all around her. She restrained her wings, hooves, and anything that moved. Luna stirred ad her eyes shot open when she realized something was wrong. She looked all around to see 'the filly' standing next to her.
"Emerald Iris, get me out of thou chains!" Luna said.
"So you knew all along about this?" Emerald said, changing to her original form. She lowered her head to Luna and booped her nose with her hoof. "Though, how did you know my name?"
"Thou never tell a monster like you!"
"Well maybe later when my little friends have their way with you."
As if on cue, five changeling came from the door. A drop of sweat fell down from Luna head when the changelings came in. Each changeling had a hungry look on their face with shallow breaths. Emerald smirked as she left and said.
"I'll see you later princess , or should I say, slave ."
And she left her to the mercy of the changelings.
Celestia was sleeping on her desk, filled with paperwork. Everything was stacked neatly with only the pen as the exception as being messy with ink and the edge of the table. Her peaceful face was disturbed by the door opening to reveal Emerald as her disguise. Emerald walked to her and started to feast on her love and magic. When she was done, she teleported to Luna room with Celestia with magic that almost not traceable, where Twilight was still waiting.
"Twilight, I want you to make Celestia suffer for an hour. You can do anything to her that you want, as long you don't kill her. After that, you will return her in chains to the throne room. And one of your tasks are to cut her horn and wings. I going to turn this city around. The supplies are in my room in the Castle." she said. Twilight nodded and teleported to her destination.
"Now that I got that cleared and have all the magic I need, it time to get my reward." Said Emerald. she walked out of the room with her eyes devoid of nothing. The moon was slowly falling from the sky as Celestia sun was at the horzion.
'It happened all too soon. I didn't even check on Luna yet-'
"SEIZE VILLAIN!"

Celestia was gasping for air as Twilight finished digging a knife to her side. Every single bruise that she had hurted like she was in a volcano. Her horn and wings was on the floor, bleeding with blood as Twilight started to laugh.
"You failure, You can't even protect your subjects, much less yourself. Have you grown backwards?" Twilight said. "Though, it seems it been an hour and my queen wants you."
"Y-You...monster!"
She picked Celestia up with her magic and said, "Oh please, your the monster here. Even before we came into existence, weren't you the one to banish your sister to the moon? Weren't you the one who sit back, eat some cake, relax while my disguise self and the others took care of all those villains?"
"I couldn't do anything! My magic was taken from me when you had to beat them!"
"Likely story, now hush." and she literally zipped up her mouth.
Twilight was trotting in the halls and heard some groaning. She stopped where she was walking but then just shrugged it off. But what she didn't know that her friends were in a room with Luna, torturing her.
"Oh my, you seem like the fighting type. I could use some backups..."
"I would never join you if that was you were thinking!
"Oh please, who said you had a pick about this? I'm clearly going to take you by force whether you like it or not, Shining Armor."
Emerald was towering over Shining Armor while saying that and quickly disappeared from sight when he tried to slash her. Her laughs were everywhere while he blocked his ears. Emerald was on the ceiling in a way that will creep out even the bravest pony. She slowly advanced on him while getting ready to ambush. Shining turned all ways but up, and when he did, it was too late. He was in a special cocoon and was slowly drowning in thoughts and slime.
"I see you later shiny. Or should I dare say general?"
Emerald quickly teleported to the throne room where she saw no guards on duty. She spread her wings and sat on throne.
'Lucky old me.'
"Queen! I brought the slave!" said a familiar voice.
"Oh Twilight! Nice timing, we about to get started. Can you call the others to finish up what they doing and come over here so they can have a little reward. Especially the changelings who has been playing with Luna. I'm sure they like what they see next..."
"Okay, what should I do with her?" Twilight said. She pointed at Celestia when she finished the sentence and Celestia struggled.
"Just drop her. We'll have a good time~"
The ponies in the city were running in all dicections as the changelings were coming down like wishing stars. Some were draining the love from ponies and returning back to Ponyvile. Their numbers were great as 10,550 and the guards could do nothing about it.
The changelings in charge of keeping Luna were Ash Fang, Vemon Bite (Rainbow Dash), Peridot Wing (Rarity), Amethyst Hive (Flutter Shy) and Coral Fang (Pinkie Pie). Their determination drove them as they used her, not leaving a little bit behind. But as soon as the hour mark striked, some things happened...
"OMG WE'RE SO LATE!!!" said Coral. She was waving her hooves in the air as she watched everyone work their magic.
"Calm down Coral darling, we doing this as fast as we can!" said Peridot. She was tying a bow to an oddly big present with mumbling inside.
"BUT EMERALD SAID SHE WANTED US A HOUR-!"
"THEN WHY DIDN'T YOU SAY SO? COME ON GIRLS!" said Ash, the new leader of this group. She picked up the present and started troting as fast as she can while trying not to make it crash down, for who inside there was very important.
We are now looking at a wild changeling annoy an princess.
"Oh Celestia, I thought you were better than this. You lost your power while eating foods with flour. Hey look, I just rhymed!" said Emerald. She was making her hooves as jazz hands.
"Oh for Daybreaker sake-" said Celestia before getting interrupted by the door opening up.
"Queen Emerald!" said a group of five changelings.
"Oh, nice timing. And you brought me a present?"
"Yep. It's Luna."
And almost immediately, a disordered voice came from the box. Everyone looked at it with eyes that said 'weird' except Emerald. She used her magic to untie the box and out came Luna.
Luna was barely recognizable as her mane and tail was torn and her stars in the mane left. Cuts were seen everywhere on her body ang her horn was not found. Her wings were not intact as more than 34 feathers were misplaced or plucked out. Her fur was miscolored and grayish
"I'm proud of you, you made her look like she been enslaved for a year or so in a hour! Now, it time to see what our victory look like!"
Emerald stood up from the throne and looked out of the window. The outside was burning as house were chock full of smoke. Changelings were ambushing ponies and the royal guard bodies were littering the ground. Blood was splatted everywhere the eyes could look and the smell can make ponies with anosmia vomit.
Emerald sniffed and sherd a tear before singing,
"This day have been just perfect. "
"The kind of day which I dreamed since I was small. "
"I have started a new conflict "
"That now no one ever could fix "
And this time, Chrysails joined in.
"And now we have doomed you all! "
'I'm proud of you.' Chrysails said. She sounded like she was tearing up with joy and her voice cracked. Emerald smiled and once in an while...
She started to cry.

"I hope the city is ready for a good time with me, don't you think Celly?" Emerald asked Celestia. She was sitting on a chariot of silver and gold and Celestia and Luna was being carried beside it, guards surrounded them. She made Celestia wear different outfits for foals, actions movies, 1980's, and finally ending with a classic dress. Luna was wearing a skirt with her hair tied up. Her hooves had black shoes on them.
"Well, I not sure Emerald, it seem like the whole of the nation have been told of the downfall of the capital. But with your power, I'm sure it will be a easy conquest." A guard said. He was in a offense position, ready to ambush anyone who cross roads with his queen.
Peridot Wing was also with them, currently having a massage from one of the slaves they captured from the invade of Canterlot. They were tied up to a chain and they were forced to do it, or be rewarded with death or even a worse fate.
The day was peaceful for the ponies of Manehattan and they were frolicking around. Shops started to open as a grand opening was happening and a crowd of people stood there. The skies were clear and it seemed that not even a stuck up pony (even more than those Canterlot nobles) could ruin the day.
Or so they thought.
The ~~people~~ ponies started mumbling when they saw the 'big flock of birds' coming their way.
"Are those birds? Seem awfully big to be just one big group."
"I don't even think it's a flock, it probably the changelings!"
Everyone gasped at that statement as ponies started running. They went into the alleyways, houses, even their bunkers.
"Take everypony you see and take their love!" Emerald said. Changelings were already in half of the city by now and were hunting out every. Single. Pony. Gore and intestines covered every wall and carpet as grunts or screams could be heard across the city. Fire took over the city, shadows producing from it as changelings dragged ponies over to cages they bought with them. Smoke came off the fire and polluted the air as the sky grew dark.
"Emerald, if we take this city, what will we even use it for?" asked a curious slave. Emerald thought about it about before grinning like the Grinch.
"Simply to strike fear into the hearts of the weak. Maybe we make them build it, to give them a chance to be a great city again, only to crush their hopes and destroy it! Also I thought I ordered every slave to never speak to your superiors without permission. I'll make Ash punish you when we get back, unless you atone for it and give the guards protecting me some good massages."
"Yes, Your Majesty." The slave said quickly before he ran to the closest guard he could find. Emerald smirked as she teleported some pre-made popcorn from the Canterlot's kitchens.
"Maybe I check on Amethyst Hive to make sure the captures and the breaking are going fine...but I don't wanna cross the portal to the dungeons so, no."
"Excuse me Goozer but why would you do that." said Amethyst Hive. She was in charge of the captures and the breaking of the mind of the cities they going to evade. But recently, someone messed up and now she has to fix it before moving on. And that's person is really stubborn.
"I was bored and they're temping me, like they wanted what was coming." Said Goozer. Goozer is a worker of the slave's department.
"But we need to add only a little dose of pain, not a ocean though!" Amethyst retorted. She fired up a beam of pure plasma before changing her mind and canceling the spell.
"Just... get out of my sight before we have to send you to the hospital." she said.
"Yes Ma'am!" said Goozer before flying for his life.
Emerald Conquers - Appleloosa
The wind was coughing as dust was blowing everywhere as far as the eye can see. Tumbleweeds were rolling around like lighting and cacti were almost impossible to see through the sand. A sandstorm was forming and barely anyone knew why.
Except of course...
The Appleloosans and the buffalo were working together to either lead Emerald away or stop her altogether. After hearing what happened to Manehattan and Canterlot, they took precautions to make sure they serve a stand against the evil highness.
Buffalo came around to make the sand more shiftier. Pegasus flew around, making wind for the sand to blow into the desert and masa. They had the women and children evacuate as the warriors brought out the pie. Of course, they brought out more deadlier items like pistols, slingshots, hand knifes (hoof knifes?), and more.
Of course it was futile, as the changelings were ready too. As the sand got into their eyes, and the town seemingly so untouchable, their dominant queen ordered them to transform. They grew appendages to quickly overcome the sand, and brought goggles just in case. The high image in their hearts just grew higher every day for their Queen.
How their queen knew how to do everything, even the unthinkable!
'Oy, Chrysalis?'
Emerald bothered Chrysalis, driving her to the brink of insanity just for information. She had become the spoiled brat she is!
'If it wasn't the Hive hanging in the balance of surviving or not, you wouldn't have existed.' Chrysalis scowled.
'I really must thank you though! For your incompetence and stupidity, I'd never become so powerful!' Emerald said. She loved the feeling of anger, sadness, and more caused by her actions.
Emerald smirked, knowing the victory was hers and hers alone. She climbed the seat she was on, to see Celestia and Luna running requests. Their divinity was hers to use after all. They won't become tired, unless you count their mental being. And as they serve the warriors flying, they were abused and threw away like the trash they were!
Soon she saw the city in the distance, as she leaped out the chariot and bellowed.
"Congratulations my troops, we have now reached Applelosa!"
The army cheered as they swooped down.
A few days later...
The conquest this time wasn't as bloody as Manehattan, in fact Emerald made sure not a drop of blood fell onto the ground. Instead, she kept the Applelosians as slaves for building. Their love stolen and chained, the spirits of the Applelosians fell. But the changelings thrived, seeing how they fidgeted to their every needs.
Emerald, as to mock them threw a party and banquet. She invited everyone to come, but of course the Applelosians couldn't. They were chained together, each of them carrying equipment to rebuild the city or make it even better.
The food was magnificent, as Emerald made sure to put the buffaloes to good use too. The entertainment? Ponies suffering above fire, of course. She needed punishment for the ones who hid the delish kids from her. Although it was easy to find them.
A filly crawled near Emerald, eyeing the banquet Emerald had set for the occasion. The filly wanted at least something to eat, as they were starved because of the Queen's orders.
Emerald noticing the filly, bit a fruit. She filled it with the venom in her fangs, her head already fantasizing the pain the filly will go through. She dropped it 'accidently', with it rolling towards the filly. The filly slowly crawled forward, before swallowing it and sprinting back to the cells before they gets caught. It has been a miracle how she hasn't been caught already.
As Emerald savored the victory again, she wondered which city was next...
Author's Note
I don't hate Luna and Celestia, it just fits the theme of the story. Going to the more intense parts of the story, Emerald must have her way :D
Emerald deems everything as her belonging, so to pick a place to build a nest was a difficult task. Where would the best place be? And would it be beneficial to the Hive? As a queen, she needed the best for her subjects, and the worst for her enemies.
But then she had a great idea. Why pick one location, when she could use the whole of Equestria instead? Therefore, she can have an upgraded version of the Hive, and she wouldn't have to choose anywhere. If it's a disadvantage to build in a specific place, she'll just send a manager to there, she couldn't care less.
After all, she did things for glory, not work.
So after a few months after the conquest of Canterlot, she started to rebuild it to a much more efficient place...
A few months back
After a few hours of the Canterlot takeover, Emerald ceased fighting due to the fact that the ponies surrendered. Her beloved army had them cornered in front of her, with them cowering, whether noble or not. Fillies and foals cried as their mother hushed them.
"The population had a fatal blow, and there's not much survivors. Some escaped, but we're hunting them down as we speak. That is most of the damage sustained for the population, my queen." A changeling reported. Emerald nodded as she turned to the crowd of ponies.
"Take them away to the Canterlot dungeon, punish those who try to escape. If they even can of course." she dismissingly said. The army surrounded the crowd as they marched down to the castle. Wails and more became more quiet as they settled in the distance, becoming smaller in the distance.
Emerald then turned to Peridot Wing and the others as they were waiting for her command.
"The Gem Crew will manage turning the ponies I deem worthy into their superior race, changelings. You will train the population through gruesome tasks. You'll be doing it in the dungeons too." she said.
But then Coral Fang asked, "But where would we put the NRHM's?"
Emerald made a rarely used confused expression.
"It stands for newly recruited hive members? We can't fit the whole Hive into Ponyville, since it's already very crowded." Coral clarified. The others agreed too, saying that it'll be too problematic and saying that Emerald should choose, given that she's the queen after all.
Emerald then sank into thought. It was a very good question, where should she put the newly constructed Hive?
"Well, for now let's fix up the damage we caused. Get some of our specialized forces to do it. I'll be counting on you!" Emerald said as she avoided the question for now. She just knew her minions would do whatever she said. Their loyalty knew no bounds.
"We'll promise to do our best Queen." They said in union.
"We'll set up camp over there, and we'll start construction tomorrow. Okay?" Emerald added. The Gem Crew bowed as they worshipped their Queen, as they immediately set off to do their tasks.
"Hey, Amethyst!" Emerald suddenly called out. Amethyst Hive stood in place as she turned to face Emerald again.
"Yes, my Queen?" she obediently said.
'Looks like she got a bit less shy. ' Emerald thought. She motioned for Amethyst to come closer.
"I need you to be the manager of the project." Emerald said. She knew this is a bit sudden, but why not put her to the test? She needed reliable subjects, or else they're not any better than the ponies.
"I will do it, my queen. But I have one question." She said while bowing.
"What is it, my loyal advisor?" Emerald said curiously.
"Why me?" Amethyst answered. She was looking at Emerald face to face with confusion written on her face.
"I'm very honored, but I'm sure there's more people better than me for the task." she added.
"That's because I know you can do it. Don't get me wrong though, there is much more better people for the job. If you think that you can't do it, just tell me." Emerald said while turning around. She then started to fly back to the temporary camp.

A smidge more wholesome, Emerald is back!
Late at night, the changeling army gathered together to camp and prepare to go to sleep. They refused to sleep in the intact houses, for it couldn't fit them, and their hatred of the ponies forbade them to even feel sympathy for them. Much less use their shelter.
In the inner-most part of the camp, Emerald's tent was set up with guards outside. Emerald was lying on her bed, looking at the ceiling thinking. Ever since the Gem Crew asked where they should put the extension of the Hive, she was trying to at least be useful and think of a good plan.
Since Ponyville was occupied, she couldn't use that option. And they were already working in Canterlot, so she needed to find out where to raid next to make more room. And she wouldn't ask Chrysalis for help, if the previous Queen failed to do what she did, like taking over Canterlot, why follow her examples?
If only she could use the whole of Equestria to build her nest.
Then it suddenly hit her. Of course, she can use the entire Equestria! She can use her newly armed forces to overtake another city, make it into another hive, convert new soldiers out of the ponies, rinse and repeat. Then soon enough, no one could stop her.
She gave herself a pat on the back, then got up and went to write it down on a piece of spare paper. When she was done, she laid on her bed again, falling into a slumber.
The next day, early in the morning, Emerald bothered Chrysalis for the perfect speech, and called everybody to gather around her for a short announcement. As soon the majority of the troops came, she started to speak.
"Hello, my beloved children, I have important pieces of news to share with you about our next step. First thing, you all have been asking me where we should put the NRCM's, and I have your answer! Right here in Equestria!" she started off with. Confused murmurs and grunts were heard, and Emerald continued.
"After we convert Canterlot into the perfect Hive just for us, that'll be one of our first Hives. Then we will continue to sweep over Equestria and claim everything for us." she explained. "So, in order to do that, I need you to do your best and make sure to convert those low-lives into our proud race! Then, changelings will be the only superior race!" She hyped up, and everybody cheered.
"If you have any questions, please tell the Gem Crew them, and they will take care of it. Speaking of the Gem Crew, Amethyst Hive will be observing this arrangement, so please report to her if you have anything urgent to say. With that, please start working for a better tomorrow! I'll see you at noon." she ended off, and cheers erupted. The changelings started to fly off towards Canterlot, or simply trotting.
With a satisfied expression, she also was about to fly away to Canterlot in the distance, but then a changeling interrupted her. It was bulky in size and had blue hair. They also had armor, mimicking the Royal Guard, and a badge saying, 'General Lapis Sodalite'.
"My Queen, we have an important situation on our hooves." they said as they bowed down.
"Ah, Shiny, what is it?" she asked casually. But her nonchalant attitude quickly became shocked and a bit angered as soon she heard the next sentence.
"As we were escorting the ponies to the dungeons, we had an outbreak among them, and we suffered a few losses." Lapis explained with a shameful undertone. "They formed a rebellion and escaped, promising to come back and end your rule. Plus, traitors appeared in our forces, and released them in the first place. We don't know how the mishap happened, nor the foolishness of those defiant changelings to betray you, but we--" Lapis tried to explain, but Emerald put a hoof up and he stopped speaking.
"I didn't know we had such incompetent generals, to not chase after them, and instead look for my help." she said coldly. "Assemble some changelings to chase over them, I'll be with you in a second." she said as she flew towards Canterlot.
"It's time to put our spoils of war to use."
While the wind fluttered her mane, Emerald flew towards the borders of Canterlot. The buildings and other made it hard to see, but there was a group of those wretched, no good ponies with changeling traitors galloping towards the gates leading outside. The absolute thought of it made Emerald sneer in disgust. This was not how she trained her beloved, and maybe slightly underpaid changelings. And the fact they teamed with the... ponies .
As she neared the ground preparing to land, there was an changeling unit assembled near the gates. They were carrying shined and sharpened spears, while others decided to use good old fashioned hooves to fight. Emerald neared Lapis Sodalite as they bowed.
"My Queen."
"How's the prep, General Lapis Sodalite?" Emerald asked as she signaled them to raise their head.
"So far, we got a few small troops stationed near this gate, with all the others near either an gape, passage, or any other tunnels. We also have some flying above them to update their location. We'll capture and give them the appropriate punishment, since we can't waste any pony-power."
"And please tell me you won't fail me like last time," Emerald asked with a threatening undertone as she glared down at Lapis. "It won't be pretty if you do."
"I won't." Lapis stared down as if it could make the eroded pebbles crack even more. His stern and resolute voice gave the affirmation Emerald needed.
"Great." Emerald said as she pat his back. She then went towards the towers where the flying guards were repeatedly giving reports and news.
"There's about 63 of them, two thirds ponies, the other traitors," one reported to a guard. "If we engage, they might camouflage with any unanimated object and escape our radar. Only true changelings can see one another, and I doubt they'll be using the Hivemind, therefore it'll hard to imprison them. Please tell that to Lapis."
"I seen them armed, it's no wonder they were able to escape. If we engage, it should a hassle to take them down without taking a few losses." another one told the guard.
"And I think they have hostages, some actual loyal changelings." A third one told. "I'm sure the loyal ones would be honored to be spies on what they're doing, so we should contact them."
Emerald heard all the talk around her and sighed. Hopefully Lapis would be able to handle this. If a changeling made from the Queen herself isn't reliable, there will be more losses in the future than she would like.
"My Queen," a drone suddenly made itself known in front of her. "Are you giving advice or reinforcements to the gates?"
"I'm just being a bystander for the grand picture." Emerald responded. "My dear changelings will be proving themselves that we will be taken seriously, am I right?"
"Yes, my Queen!" the drone stood upright saluting. "Long live the Queen."
"Oh yes, I almost forgot." Emerald said. "Where did you put the S.W?"
Celestia struggled against her binds, straining and pulling, trying to break free. After exerting herself of all the energy she had, she slumped back down in her confines. Her rugged breathing was one of the only reminders that this wasn't a dream, nor a nightmare. It was reality, and she wasn't ready to face it.
"Not like this..." she muttered. She glanced around, but the very dimly lit room made it hard to make anything out. And the absolute gravity of her situation and Luna's pressured her, barely giving her room to be calm.
Oh Luna, she sulked silently. She didn't appreciated enough at all. After her return from the moon, she thought everything in her life was going to go uphill, but her fate thought differently. She didn't even get to fix broken bonds properly, and...
Her moody expression morphed into an angered one. That changeling was living under her muzzle the whole time, and she was her student! And her mocking and jeering expression was all it took for her calm and composed self to be livid as this.
That changeling, no, no changelings shouldn't have left the badlands at all. What went wrong?
Suddenly, a bright light shined in her eyes. She squinted as she recontinued her struggle. There's no way she's going down without a fight, especially against a jumpstart villain. She glared at the changeling guard once her eyes readjusted to the brightness.
"Slave, the Queen has required your lowly presence at the battlegrounds."
Battlegrounds? She perked her head up slightly in worry at the male guard. What are they planning for her? She slowly got off the dirty, rusty stone floor as she proceeded to slowly trot to the guard, tripping over the occasional hardened green goo.
The guard gestured to follow as they treaded the halls of the dungeon. As they roamed, Celestia saw many other ponies trapped in cages and cells, wasting away in there. There was also cocoons hanging from the ceiling, which gave the whole area an gloomy, dark energy. As Celestia focused even more in the cocoons, there seemed to be figures in there, though she wasn't sure.
Then when she looked down, her heart skipped a beat. She saw her own sister, Luna, getting pushed around while nearing her. The guards made her tumble over again and again as they mocked her.
"Hey idiots, we're suppose to bring them to the Queen in their best form! And I'm sure the Queen wouldn't like what she's seeing, you all violating her words." Celestia's guard lectured them loudly. The other guards snapped their sight to them, then straightened up. They all hanged their heads low as he spoke.
"Besides, why don't you think the Queen is bringing them? She specifically said for the bigger picture! And we don't hurry up, those bastards might escape!"
Celestia was intrigued now, if not hopeful. If what she gathered so far was true, then maybe there's a outbreak going on, and Emerald was bringing her and Luna right towards it. Although the reason is unknown for now, perhaps there's hope for the so called "bastards" to escape. If nurtured right, they can even be the downfall of Emerald!
Celestia glanced at Luna as Luna glanced at her. They just had to wish upon a star. And then they'll be free, sooner or later, right?

"Gold Digger, on your left!" A bulky changeling said as he dodged another lancer. He felt the slight wind from the weapon passing his head as he swiftly dealt an uppercut to the opposing changeling guard who was aiming at his head. Pinning them down, he glanced at Gold Digger who was finishing their fight.
"I told you to stop calling me that!" Another changeling snarky yelled. They kicked another changeling's shin while cornering them, dodging their counterattacks. The guard groaned in pain as Gold Digger slitted their throat, killing them off. The bulky changeling sighed before looking at the state of where they were in.
The whole area was filled with war cries, with the crisp and dry smell of blood floating in the air. Changelings swooped in and out of the sky packing sticky goo to render ponies immobile, while the ponies themselves were fighting to escape. The two sides collided, one blocking the way to freedom while the other struggled. The once peaceful Canterlot Gates has turned into a whole battlefield, with tension in the air.
The bulky changeling breathed, looking back on the once enjoyable times where Canterlot was where the summer sun shined upon them with all the gentleness it had. But with Emerald's rule, those times were almost out of reach. But he was determined to get those times back, even with violence.
"Hermit Armor, get a grip! We're almost at the gates!" Gold Digger yelled before flying off to reinforce another ally who was almost struck down. Hermit sighed as he lifted off to the skies too, searching for places they were losing ground in. Of course, even though it was necessary, he didn't love violence.
But then, he fumbled in flight as he almost mistakenly thought he saw wrong.
"The princesses?" he muttered as he saw both Celestia and Luna being brought to the battlefield's fringe. He rubbed his eyes and tried to get a better view but got interrupted by one of Emerald's soldiers tackling him.
"Traitor! You belong in a ditch!"
"Argh!" He groaned, before plummeting down to the ground. He stabilized his diving trying to get back to hovering in the air, but the soldier who tackled him didn't let him have any rest, pursuing him. Hermit then made a sharp 180, aiming at the guard himself. They collided against each other, and the soldier got blasted away, leaving Hermit to recover from the recoil.
"Ugh..." Hermit grouched before locking his sight on the princesses, who were now next to Emerald. They were all watching from afar the battleground edges and were seemingly talking. Hermit pondered.
"I can't get over there unless I abandon them all..." he muttered in thought. He wanted to find out what was happening, but then he'll have to leave the battlefield, which was not very favorable. He was the leader in charge, and if he would to leave even for a bit, the tables might turn.
"If there's no opening..." he muttered. "I'll just have to make one."
Emerald giggled happily as she sat upon the wall eating, protected by most of the Gem Crew flying around killing off the ponies, apart from Amethyst Hive and Coral Fang. She had the perfect view of the traitors’ blood spattering on the ground while her children wrecked them to pieces. While watching, a servant came up to her.
"My Queen, would you like more tea with your biscuits?" the servant asked.
"Why, thank you!" Emerald said before taking the kettle. But before she had the time to drink, a rustle came from her side. She turned to see what was happening, and she perked up.
"Ah, the former princesses!" Emerald mocked with venom dripping from her voice. "Now reduced to trash."
Celestia and Luna were being dragged to her forcefully with the guards guiding them harshly. Soon, they were forced to kneel as the guards forced them into an awkward stance. They both stared holes into Emerald's body, which she just shrugged off.
"You must be wondering why you're here, right?" Emerald said. "It's to crush morale."
The eyes of the princesses stirred.
"You see, you two must be oh, so hopeful that your innocent loving ponies will save you, right? But there's just two points that'll prove all of that wrong." Emerald nonchalantly said, then paused to sip her tea. "First, they're not innocent. See that all blood being shed?"
She pointed to the battlefield, where small explosions and clashes were happening.
"Not all of that was from my beloved soldiers. Your so-called innocent ponies are wreaking havoc too, and killing off my children. But alas, they're losing. Badly."
Emerald made sure to roll the last word to get the point across. She saw Celestia getting furious and trying not to burst, and she smirked.
"There's no way they're getting through this enforcement, with their little, lowly numbers and weak members. Which brings me to my second point, you're not going to get saved."
Suddenly, Lapis flew next to her hesitantly.
"My Queen, you need to evacuate quickly, please." he said, lowering his head.
"Eh, why?" Emerald questioned, then got angry. "How dare you tell me what to do!"
"You see, the escapees suddenly turned back and are now rushing towards here. Our forces are trying to capture them, but I'm afraid it's too risky, and can cause serious damage."
Emerald, for a spilt moment, wanted to smack the utter crap out of Lapis, but decided against it. After all, what he just said contradict what she just said. Her eyes gleamed as she coldly spoke.
"I see."
"Yes, now plea-"
But before Lapis could finish his sentence, his head wasn't connected to his neck anymore. He tried to stutter, but his vocal cords were in his body, which was no longer accessible to him. His eyes opened wide as he took his final breath. Blood gushed from his neck as his body spasmed. His bones were visible to the naked eye as his body dropped onto the ground, before stopping slowly. His head was pale as Emerald threw it aside with telekinesis.
"Useless changeling..." Emerald muttered angrily while puffing, then glanced at the duo, servant, and surrounding soldiers who were witnesses to the scene. Their eyes were big as plates, and their hearts were accelerating. Emerald could hear their heartbeats as she took a deep breath.
"There's no room for a failure in my hive." she stated. "You all will be next if you don't get yourselves together."
The soldiers then scattered off to the battlefield, leaving Emerald and the former princesses.
"As for me, I'll be joining them to finally crush this rebellion. After this-"
"Stop right there!"
Emerald looked up, as she saw the rebellion members dropping onto the base. Their leader, Hermit, was leading them as they swarmed the bastion gate. Emerald sighed before smiling.
"It seems like they forgot my terror, huh?" she said while stretching. "It's okay, it's been a while since I fought, haven't it."
"I'll show them what hell truly looks like."
