Much has passed since Equiss met its dying fate. The world had decayed as it could no longer sustain itself in being a planet for life to continue on in existing. Ponies and all life was near extinction as it was believed that everyone would perish and none would live.

But fate was not as bleak as some believed it as.

A technologically advanced changeling tribe that resided deep underground in the Badlands had given ponies and other sentient life to continue on in living in a simulation that would assure them that their species would not perish, but live in a reality that could sustain themselves for generations to come until the planet could one day be habitable for them to rebuild their civilization.

Princess Luna waited for when her time would come to be put into the virtual reality where her family waited for her to join them.

Yet, her ego conversed with her before it was time to bid farewell to this world, and onto the next one.

Story takes place long after the events of Season 9 of MLP.
