"Why me?"I thought as I trotted towards the ponyville cemetary.
"Why did I have to be a princess??Why did I have to be immortal? Why was I forced to watch everyone I knew and loved grow old and die while I stayed?"
I stopped walking in front of eight statues. I walked over to the first and read what the grave in front of it said
Here lies Jaquline "apple" jack

I looked up at the statue. All of the statues was crafted by the most talented sculptures in equestria. She was the first to go, she was 48 at the time. It was in appleloosa. The buffalo were doing there run in the apple orchard and applejack forgot. She couldn't get out of the way in time. I mourned for over a year after her death. She had a small funeral, maybe around fifty ponies. Princess celestia ran the ceremony, talking about all of Aj's hardships and accomplishments. I ran home in tears half way through. I gently placed bright orange flowers onto her grave as tears fell from my eyes and turned my attention to the next grave.

Rainbow was second. She died a few weeks after applejack. It turns out she had a crush on her, and when she died rainbows heart couldn't take it. Her funeral was larger than applejack's, since all of the wonderbolts and people who admired her all showed up. The wonderbolts did an air show in honour of her, showing a picture of her in the sky. If it was a different circumstance I would have been filled with joy,but then I just wanted her back. I lifted a rainbow bouquet of roses and placed it gently on her grave. I started towards the next grave.

Pinky was third. Everyone always told her that to much sweets would kill her and in the end it eventually did. She died peacefully in her sleep. All of ponyville and some hippogriffs came to her funeral. Unfortunately, her son had to see his mothers grave. I mourned for a few months then carried on with my life. As I was about to put her flowers down, I heard a pop noise from behind me.
"Hello Twilight." Said a voice I hadn't heard in centuries.
"Hello discord." I said as I turned round,"So you came back?"
"Yes twilight. It has been a few centuries since I visited so I thought I would come and say-"
"How dare you come here." I said with a face full of fury,"You were gone for seven centuries, leaving your only living friend to mourn by herself, and you just suddenly turn up to say hi??! I missed you discord! There are only 5 ponies I can talk to who are immortal!!! And number 5 disappeared and leaves me alone for centuries!!!!"
Discord lowered his head,face full of guilt.
"I'm sorry twilight. I never should have abandoned you and the other princesses. It's just I couldn't stay in this world when...when.." he trailed off, staring at one of the graves. I walked over to the particular grave and started to looked at the writing with tears in my eyes.

"When she's not here." I finished for him.
"It's hard," he said with tears falling down his face,"Staying in the world where the love of your life died. I miss her so much twilight. I tried convincing her so many times to make her immortal, but she didn't listen. She said she wanted to die. It broke my heart twilight, to see my wife's lifeless body on a hospital bed, and to see her coffin being lowered in the ground." After he finished he summoned 8 bouquets of flowers and lowered them gently onto the graves.
"I'm so sorry discord, I should've known. I said sincerely.
"It's ok twilight. I better be going now, I will visit you and the others shortly. Good bye twilight sparkle." He said with a small smile on his face.
"Good bye discord." As soon as I finished speaking, discord teleported away. I started placing the flowers back on the graves. The last of my first friends were rarity, turned out them treatments were good for the skin since she lived to 125 years. After that was starlight. She spent 60 years in the human world and due to the time difference she only aged 10 years. She died 50 years after rarity. After her was sunset, who stayed back in equestria with starlight and died a year after her. And the last one. I tried to bite back as many tears as I could as I approached the grave. I looked at it, still hoping it didn't say what I hoped it didn't.

I collapsed on the floor,letting the tears come out freely. Spike was supposed to be with me for millennias to come. I remembered the day I found out spike contacted a deadly rare dragon disease during his one hundred year sleep and wasn't going to wake up. It wasn't even a year ago. I wish I was never made a princess.
"Your highness!" Called out one of my guards at the front of the cemetery." Your meeting with the canterlot nobles begins in half an hour so I think we should get on going."
"Very well." I said while standing up. I turned my head towards the graves," I will be back soon."
" Princess celestia also sent a letter saying she wants to talk to you after your meeting. She also said princess mi amora cadenza will be coming as well."
"Thank you for informing me officer. Now let's go back to canterlot." Me and him walked towards the exit of the cemetery just as the sun started to set.
