Love is The Greatest Force in Equestria
Friendship is Magic, Love is Power
It was a typical Hearts and Hooves Day. Ponies were laughing, love was blooming, certain ponies were sobbing at home eating vats of ice cream all alone, and it seemed like the joy would never end. Until it did.
"My power grows strong as the seconds pass, Shining," Cadance giggled, her powerful voice booming.
Shining Armor held a hoof to his forehead, "Honey, we've been over this, you can't take over Equestria!"
"I can, and I WILL!" Cadance snapped, standing up from her throne. "No pony can stop me, not today!" Cadance let out a soft giggle, then laughed softly, then cackled.
"Here I go again," Shining muttered. He rolled his eyes, lit his horn, and tried to fire a stun spell. It ricocheted off of Cadance's coat and returned to the sender. "Crap." Shining Armor hit the floor, and Cadance had not a care in the world. She was already preparing for her reign of peace, and possible chaos. Ponies do crazy things for love, after all.
"Applejack, you coward, get out here and face me!" Rarity's voice screamed out through the Apple Family Orchard.
Applejack hugged a tree branch, trying not to fall into the sight of her miffed marefriend. Rarity walked slowly beneath the tree and giggled, making the poor orange pony relax from the pure ambrosia that met her ears. Unfortunately, this relaxation was a little too much. Applejack tumbled from the branch and landed behind Rarity. "Ah heck, I'm in fer a lickin'..." she muttered.
Rarity whipped around, and gasped, "Applejack, my word, are you okay?" Rarity's angers were stowed away and she helped Applejack up from the ground. "Let me check you for injuries, darling, falling from trees is not acceptable!"
"Ah know, Ah know, but Ah was scared that you were gonna tan mah hide fer my misuse of wordin'!" Applejack winced as Rarity pushed on her side.
"Sorry, darling, but I'm gonna have to push harder to check if anything is broken."
Applejack nodded, and exclaimed in pain with the prodding of the hoof. "Ahhh! Ow! Freaking tarnation, that hurt!"
"Just a bruise, darling, you'll be fine." Rarity walked back in front of her friend and slapped her. HARD. "That... was for saying I looked fine. And this..." Rarity kissed Applejack softly, "is to convince you to forgive me for the pain I just caused you."
Applejack raised an eyebrow playfully. "Seriously, Rares?"
"Seriously." Rarity grinned.
"Dagnabbit, girl, why do ya gotta be so cute?" Applejack groaned, "Ah can't be mad at that smile!"
Rarity stuck her chest out. "Ha, deal with it!" She laughed, and the two headed for the house, smiling the whole way.
"Rainbow, you ready to go?" Twilight called. A picnic basket hovered beside her, stuffed full of banana peanut butter sandwiches and potato chips.
"For goodness sakes, Twilight, this water jug is not light!" Rainbow floated in with a gallon of water, which Twilight quickly grabbed with her magic. "Whew, thanks, I thought my back was gonna snap!"
"C'mon, we've got a fun day ahead!" Twilight smiled, booping her marefriend.
"Oh yeah, we do!" Rainbow laughed, and the two headed for the park.
Rarity licked her lips as she struggled to get all the apple pie filling off of her lips. "My Faust, did your Granny have to put so much sugar in that pie? I swear, my teeth will be rotting for weeks!"
"Now, now, Rarity, yer teeth'll be fine, ya don' need ta worry. Ah mean, look at mah own teeth!" Applejack grinned and showed her award-winning smile. Rarity returned the smile, unknowingly revealing a piece of apple skin between her teeth. "Uh, Rares, you got somethin' between yer teeth."
"Darling, you could have been more discreet about it!" Rarity complained, using her hoof to dig it out. "Have you no manners?"
Applejack opened her mouth to speak, but was quickly cut off by a loud explosion in the East Orchard. "What the heck was that?" Rarity stood quickly and followed the farmpony outside.
Rarity's eyes shrunk to the size of pinpricks when she saw the massive figure in the distance. "Ohhhhhhh crap."
Rainbow and Twilight slowly made their way to the park, enjoying the scenery around them and the ponies' interactions with one another. However, when they made it to the park, it was full. Apparently everypony else had the same idea of having a romantic picnic in the park. There was literally nowhere to sit. The whole ground was all just blankets over that area. Twilight teleported the basket and water back home, and sat down, devastated.
Cadance smashed through the apple trees as she approached the barn, her massive figure moving quickly.
"Ohhhhh HECK NO!" Applejack charged the giga-princess with a war cry, grabbing a pitchfork from a nearby stack of alfalfa. Cadance growled in annoyance, and Rarity screamed.
"APPLEJAAAACK!" The plea echoed through the orchard as a tree came flying down. Rarity did not move, for her muscles had frozen in fear. Applejack yelled, but it was too late. The tree crashed down. Rarity looked over at the wood splinters that were scattered on the ground next to her. "Oh. Whoops!" Rarity blushed.
Applejack shook her head and continued charging the gargantuan pony. Then she realized her mistake. A pitchfork ain't gonna do crap against that thing! The farmpony quickly turned tail and ran back past her marefriend, yelling delusionally. Rarity quickly followed as Cadance continued her rampage.
Rainbow Dash sat on the gravel road, with just about as much disbelief as Twilight. She never realized how many ponies lived in Ponyville. Applejack and Rarity raced behind the two dumbstruck ponies, and did nothing to try to help. The bellows of a gigantic Princess could be heard, but everypony's infatuation made them blind.
Cadance burned Ponyville to the ground, and made her way to Canterlot. Celestia could not defeat her. The mega-mare destroyed the palace, and made her way to brainwash the surviving ponies of the land.
Shining Armor laid upon the cold stone floor with a river of drool running across the floor. The only thing he could think at that moment as the thousands of ponies screamed outside was a simple word: Crap.
