Sombra’s Not so Good Morning

A Not so Good Morning
It was a bright day in the Crystal Empire. Why isn’t it “bright and sunny?” That’s a good question; with an awful answer... .
You see; when the Crystal Empire had its big snowstorm; everypony in the entire kingdom had no choice but to stay sheltered even more than usual now. Why? Well; because of the blizzard outside; it’s been getting more and more worse from the week’s end. And since the pandemic was still in effect; everypony has been having a bad day left and right. However; what other ponies don’t know is that there was a pony who’s having an even much worse day than the other ponies. How does that work? Here’s how... .
“Sombra?” Twilight Sparkle asked his archenemy. “You awake?” Sombra replied with; “five more minutes mom...” and went back to sleep.
King Sombra was now basically stirring around; having been woken up from his slumber by his former archenemy. How did King Sombra get into the Crystal Empire and into the castle? Well; apparently when Flurry Heart had a cold; King Sombra returned because of it. And by that; I mean magic surges like the ones from “The Crystalling” episode. Which brings us to this... .
Twilight starts nudging King Sombra whilst saying; “Sombra; wake up. It’s morning.” Sombra starts to mumble something incoherently in his sleep whilst saying; “what gives kid? I’m trying to sleep here.” Twilight then looks at her niece’s bed, and sees that she’s asleep too.
Not wanting both of them to miss/sleep through morning; she’s decided to yank both of their blankets away from them, and says; “cmon y’all; it’s breakfast time. Don’t y’all want some pancakes?” At first, Sombra declined. But after feeling something in his stomach; he groans, and then gets up to get ready for the morning.
Twilight.. still seeing her niece asleep; begins to approach her bed, and then says softly; “cmon Flurry; don’t you want some breakie? And besides..” Twilight began as she starts lifting her niece out of bed, and continues; “you’re the one that brought King Sombra here in the first place. So I’m gonna need you to watch over him for me. Is that alright?” Flurry Heart then gets up groggily and cranky and then starts flying out of her room whilst babbling something incoherently to her aunt. With that; everyone is out of their rooms, and into the kitchen.
“Oh...” Cadence began as she was cooking something in the stove. “Uuh; morning.. y-your highness. H-how was your rest?” Sombra responded by sitting down on the table, and face planting on the table whilst snoring. Cadence then looked at her daughter, and asks; “and how’re you today honey?” Flurry Heart made a “bleh” sound; almost as if she’s not in the mood to talk, and goes down to sit next to King Sombra on her highchair.
Twilight eventually came into the kitchen too and said; “they’re really not in the mood to talk to me since I’ve woken them up.. hehe.” Flurry and Sombra then responded by glaring at her. “See?” Twilight replied back.
Cadence then sighs; then says; “for now.. let’s just get some breakfast to eat. I know that you’re kinda not expecting our archenemy back and all... . But then again; I’m sure that with the pandemic going on; maybe he won’t be so bad once we show him the light; right? What do you say?”
Before Twilight could answer that; Sombra raised his head, and says; “I’m not so sure on that pal... . I mean; besides... .” He then starts to get up, and says; “I’m the last villain you’d ever want reformed; trust me.” Afterwards, Flurry Heart just whined from hunger, and then faceplants also; albeit in her highchair, and from being cranky still. “Alright..” Cadence began. “Let’s get this breakfast started... .”
After a wonderful breakfast; despite a few setbacks from Shining Armor being late, and having getting ready for the day; everyone went to their respectful rooms, and just stayed there doing who knows what. Flurry Heart is in her bedroom. Twilight’s in her guestroom. Sombra is in his guestroom too. And the royal parents are in their bedroom; having a food coma. Everything is going great. Until... .
“*is currently pacing around back and forth*. Ah I’m so bored! There’s nothing fun to do here!” says King Sombra to himself whilst he’s inside his guestroom in the Crystal Empire Castle. Meanwhile; Flurry Heart is crying and running around her room because she’s cranky. And because she’s also bored. So to her; this seems like the most logical thing for her to do for a while. But not too long; no worries.
As soon as night falls; Flurry Heart goes to King Sombra’s guestroom, and babbles an apology whilst looking at him with big baby eyes. Sombra then responds with; “eh.. it’s not your fault kid. It’s just that ever since the pandemic; everypony has been cooped up in their homes with nothing to do; right?” Flurry Heart nodded, then flew to King Sombra whilst whimpering. Sombra then responds with; “eh you’ll be fine. Now come here.” He then proceeds to give Flurry Heart a hug; with her returning the hug back. Afterwards; Sombra decides to rock Flurry Heart, with her falling asleep instantly. And with King Sombra soon falling asleep as well. Meanwhile... in the hallways... .
“Huh... . Never took Sombra as one who’s caring; you know?” Cadence said in surprise. “I guess so...” began Twilight Sparkle. “But I don’t know... . What if it’s just another plot? To get us to lower our guards so he can hurt us? Like.. what if?” Shining Armor then said; “maybe... . But if so, then he could’ve done it already. Right?” Both twilight and cadence nodded their heads before cadence replied; “yeah.. you’re right. He would have.”
Eventually; they heard Flurry Heart crying, and King Sombra screaming into a pillow. “Well...” began Twilight. “Here we go again... .” With that; they went into the room, and calmed down both of the ponies inside.
