Twilight paused for a moment outside the royal bathhouse portion of the castle. She clutched her towel, not exactly worried that it would fall but because of her anxiety starting to creep in. This knowledge was clearly something she wasn't supposed to find. But then again, her mentor didn't seem worried. Maybe because she doesn't know exactly what it is? Or maybe she does know, but its nothing? No, how could Nightmare Moon know what she knows...?

Twilight took a deep breath. "Ok. Get ahold of yourself Twilight. She is your mentor. If its that important, she can just tell you to never speak of it again. But if she doesn't know, it could be worse. Much worse. She needs to know. Er... Well... She already most likely knows but she needs to know that I know..."

Clutching the knob on the door, her hand shaking. "Oh just take a deep breath and go in your stupid mage!" Twilight quickly slipped inside. She paused at one more door, this one covered in wards as a fail safe. This was a sacred place to Nightmare Moon so she always took extra precautions here. As the wards recognized Twilight, the door clicked open and allowed her through.

Once inside, the steam and music hit her all at once. There was a recording of soft music being played in the corner over a record player. Walls were painted with images of stars and moon as well as trees in the night. They were enchanted and would sway from side to side on occasion, giving of the appearance of a special pool in the deep woods. Pillars of white marble surrounded the pool of water that bubbled and gave off steam.

And in the pool on special benches cut specifically designed into the pool sat Nightmare Moon. Her features were mostly covered by the water but it was clear to Twilight that she was naked and enjoying the comforts of Aloe and Lotus. Vera was nowhere to be seen.

Aloe was currently rubbing her shoulders while Lotus sat beside her, apparently working on the upper part of her legs. Both were wearing bath towels covered in lotus and aloe leaves.

Nightmare Moon had her eyes closed but opened them as Twilight neared. "Ah, good. Twilight please come sit next to me. I am sure we have much discuss."

Twilight silently nodded and walked over, slipping into the pool with the towel still on and letting out a small hiss as the warmth of the pool surrounded her. After taking a moment to get used to the hot water, she settled back and let out a content sigh.

"Lotus, could you please take care of my student, I am sure she aches far more than I do after all the work she has been doing for me lately."

Lotus gave a small bow. "Yes my princess."

Lotus got up and stepped out of the pool, soon sitting behind Twilight. Her hands were quick to work their way over the young apprentice's shoulders. She gave a soft coo as the woman worked out the kinks, her long nights of anxiety and stress soon ebbing away as those hands worked themselves over her.

Nightmare Moon smiled and leaned forward a bit, placing a had down in front of her. Vera soon popped out from the water, gasping for air as Twilight lurched back a bit in surprise.

"How long was that, my princess?"

"Four minutes and ten seconds. You are getting better. You may take a break for now though."

"Wha?" Twilight could only stutter as she watched the young woman leave the pool, her naked form soon coming into view as she walked over to a nearby chair. After taking a sip of wine and grabbing a towel, she sat down and relaxed like it was a casual event. Her eyes drifting over a nearby magazine, grabbing it and soon become transfixed upon something within its pages.

NM turned to Twilight. "Sorry, still had some Changeling Venom in my system. Its been making me feel a bit peckish this evening and Vera has been helping me with that. While also working to increase her lung capacity while she is at it. Did you know she is an avid swimmer? Also her tongue work is rather impeccable."

She gave a soft coo as Aloe worked out a kink in her upper back. "Now, what is it that is troubling you?"

Twilight shook her head, her mind abuzz with thoughts seeming to vanish for a moment as he tried to collect herself. "Yes well... Do mind if I start by saying this may be a... Sore subject? Like one you may not find... The greatest to talk about..."

Nightmare Moon leaned back a bit, shifting her shoulders as Aloe continued to work. "You are my student. Best magician and inventor I have had in years. You are free to speak your mind."

Twilight glanced down at the water. "Well, you may take that back with what I have to say next about what I discovered."

Nightmare Moon raised an eyebrow but stayed silent. Twilight took a deep breath.

"I wasn't looking for anything. Really. I just needed some finishing touches done and wanted to make sure that the moons energy would be completely self sufficient. I had to know if anyone else had been looking into it and perhaps compare notes. I was in the old archives and stumbled upon the old catacombs. There..."

Twilight gulped and continued. "There I found a book about... Your sister..."

The air seemed to suddenly turn cold as everyone felt a shift in the air. NM didn't say a word but Twilight could feel her lax behavior vanish in an instant. Her eyes became cold for a moment before drifting off into a thousand yard stare. "I see..."

She took a deep breath. "Aloe, Lotus and Vera. What is about to be discussed in this room, does not leave this room. Is that understood?"

"Yes, my princess." They said in unison. Though it was clear that all three were a bit shaken up. Twilight suddenly felt a bit cold despite the warm pool and sunk a bit farther in.

Nightmare Moon blinked as if her mind suddenly came back to her. "What... What have you learned?"

Twilight clinched her hands tightly. "That she used to rule beside you. But something happened. Now she has been erased from all the history books. There isn't a single mention of her anywhere. Sure there may have been some ruins and theories abound up till now... But it was assumed that she was a mythological princess at best. Just a myth lost to time. This book however, everything it documents predates everything. Its... A biography written by her very hands. Trust me, I did the spell checks. Cross referenced everything. Everything pointed to one thing and one thing only... It belongs to her."

Nightmare Moon was silent for a moment before turning to Twilight. "Listen.... I don't know what it is she wrote in there but I promise you, that was another time and a different kind of person. I..."

Nightmare Moon seemed to hesitate for a moment, searching for the right words.

Twilight cocked her head slightly. "Please I have to know... What happened? What could have caused her to get scrubbed from history like this?"

Nightmare Moon looked away. "I happened... She is gone..." She tensed up as if trying to hold back her emotions.

"Because of me..."

There was a moment of silence before the princess of the night glanced upwards. "We were both so young. Trying to rule a kingdom is hard but practically doing it alone was even harder. That is what it felt like during my nightly duties. I worked so hard and yet my sister seemed to take all the credit. Sorrow and jealousy soon filled my soul. I just... I did something that to this day... Feels me with regret."

Twilight took a deep breath and held out her arm, her hand open. "If you don't want to talk about it, I understand. I will do my best to forget everything."

Nightmare Moon smiled and took Twilight's hand, holding it tightly as she scooted a bit closer. "No. I think its time I told you everything. The summer solstice is coming up and you need to know why that is a such a big deal this year. Why I may need your help."

The princess gave a small sigh. "I tried to overthrow my sister. I thought it was the right call at the time. It was mostly out of stupid anger I even made the coup attempt. She retaliated with what we called: The Elements of Harmony. By all accounts, it should have been over right there. Darkness had found its way into my heart. I let it claim me as I took a new name and prepared to create a new kingdom. By all accounts... it should have been me who got locked away..."

She held Twilight tighter. "But... My ties to the elements were strong. During out struggle, I managed to break free of the darkness somewhat. While my body remained shrouded in darkness, my own soul fought for dominance and won. In the end, while I still held the power and moniker of Nightmare Moon as I had called myself at the time, my old name still held out. It overpowered the three Elements tied to me and caused the spell to backfire. Celestia… My sister..."

She paused and Twilight scooted closer. The coolness of the air was getting more noticeable. But so to was Nightmare Moon's emotions. Twilight could see it in her eyes. So much sadness.

"Even when I was ready to make her disappear forever, she still loved me even then. She was trying to lock me away instead of turning me to stone or making me disappear like she very well could have. Instead of putting me in the moon like her original plan... The spell reversed itself. The elements seemed almost at war with themselves and in the chaos… She got stuck inside instead."

Nightmare Moon gave a small smile. "As soon as I realized what had happened... I was so happy. I thought this is it. Its my time now. Oh how wrong I was. So many feared me. Managing a Kingdom through fear only gets you so far. Especially one where you want everyone to simply love the night because that is what makes you happy. In the end, the Kingdom nearly fell apart in less than a decade. It took several years of careful planning and propaganda before I managed to even get a hold on things."

Nightmare Moon let out a long sigh. "It not a time I like to think about much these days. Though I knew it would be hard, I thought I knew what took to run a kingdom better than her. I quickly learned just how wrong I was. 1000 years is a long time to learn just how hard it is to run a Kingdom of the Night. But in the end, I still like to think I did alright. The real judge of that will be my sister though."

She locked eyes with Twilight. "Her banishment ends soon. As the prophecy goes, the stars will aid in her escape. I don't know exactly what the means but I do know she is going to be reasonably angry when she gets out. It is going to be a difficult reunion to be sure..."

Twilight leaned in closer. "Nightmare Moon, I swear I will do everything I can to help you when she gets back. I will be there by your side every step of the way. She may not know this, but you have become an incredible leader. Sure you can be a bit... Exotic at times. But you have done so much for us. I promise you, we will show her what an incredible kingdom you have made."

Nightmare Moon rested her forehead against Twilight's. "Thankyou Twilight. Knowing my best student is going to be there, gives me more strength than you could ever possibly know."

Twilight leaned forward a bit as her lips opened, her soft touch soon connecting with Nightmare Moons. As the two soon met, their bodies began to intertwine. Twilight felt Aloe's hands leave her as she positioned herself on Nightmare Moon's lap, her breasts grinding against the power princess' own large melons. Her hands traveled over the smooth back of her teachers while Nightmare Moon continued to do battle with Twilight's mouth, her hands resting on the bountiful ass of the student she loved very much.

Warmth seemed to return to the room as Aloe, Lotus and Vera seated themselves next to each other, watching the pair silently.

Nightmare Moon leaned back a bit, breaking a kiss. "Mmm. One last thing I want you to know about me."

Twilight leaned back and locked eyes with her mentor. "What's that?"

The Princess of the Night smiled. "My name... My true name... Is Luna. But please, only call me that when its just us... Alright?"

Twilight nodded. "I promise, this will stay only between us." She paused for a second. "Luna... Huh... Its actually a really pretty name."

Luna leaned back slightly. "It feels weird hearing someone else say it to be honest." Her eyes locked back on her student.

"Now as much as I would love to start screwing each other senseless. I do believe that changeling venom is starting to ware off. I am feeling rather tired..." She shook her head as she felt a daze start to settle in. Like coming down from a adrenaline rush.

Twilight shifted over and sat down next to her mentor again. "Do you want to just cuddle here for a bit?"

Luna raised a hand and brought Twilight in close, her students head resting on her breast. "I think that would be perfect."

As the two basked in each others warmth, Luna glanced up at the ceiling. Though she could not see the moon, she could feel it. Her sisters bindings were weakening. Soon... She would be free.

As fatigue began to take hold, her thoughts turned to her student, hoping that she would be enough.
