A New Life and a New Home.

The light vanished and revealed a cheerful princess Luna. The night princess looked at the group who were shielding their eyes from the light. All but Celestia who had a pair of golden sunglasses on.

"Sorry" Luna spoke softly.

"Aren't you meant to be asleep? Night isn't for a while" Asked the temporally blinded human.

"Alicorns don't need as much sleep as normal ponies. It makes our job a lot easier." Luna sat down and laid next to her sister. "So what are you all doing today?"

"We have two more tests for Miles today and then we were going to show him the sights" The purple unicorn took a bite out an apple.

"May I watch the tests with you before I return to my work, sister?" The night goddess asked.

"Why of course you can. I'm not going to stop you from spending time with our guest."

"So what is the test then?" Miles scratched his neck.

Twilight flipped through her notebook witch appeared out of nowhere "The final tests for today are strength and to check your emotional balance."

"How do you think we can test that then?" The pink pony wondered.

"I have an idea. I'll be right back" Shining dashed off towards the guards training grounds.

Moments passed with the group sharing confused looks. Minutes passed before Shinning came back carrying a massive boulder behind him.

"What do you think I'm going to be able to do with that?!" Said the shocked human.

"You're going to do what my trainees do. You are going to carry it for a short distance and then you are going to punch it until it cracks. But for you I got a larger one. Even I cant put a crack in this using my hooves. This is used for magic blasts." He proclaimed.

"I'm sure you lot have it out for me" Miles chuckled.

Shinning placed the  boulder a few feet away from the picnic so that everyone could watch as Miles did the test. Miles walked over to the boulder and tried to lift it but to no avail. "I can't pick it up."

"I picked it up. So can you."

"You used magic."

"Start punching it then." Shinning ordered.

Miles started hitting the boulder as hard as he could ignoring the pain in his knuckles. "I'm not doing any damage to it!" He shouted to Shining.

"Keep punching! Thats an order!"

Miles punched harder and harder but nothing happened to the boulder. Celestia whispered to the group "I know it isn't the kindest thing to do but we have to make him feel different emotions. We'll have to do anger first. We have to see how dangerous he is. Twilight, use your magic to bring up his old memories."

"But princess...."

"That is an order Twilight."

Twilight sighed lifting her horn and the memories flowed through Miles' mind. Miles stopped for and stared at the boulder as the group watched. Terrible memories, nightmares and emotions flowed through Miles' mind. The terrible past brought up once more.

"Nothing happened. Is this good?" AJ asked the group.

Twilight looked at her friend "Well, it is good that he hasn't reacted badly and can keep calm when angry but on the other hand-" Twilight was cut off by a loud roar.

The group looked on as Miles had a slight red aura around him and his eyes were tinted red where it should be white. Miles' eyes were fully dilated so it was mostly black with a brighter red ring round the edges. Miles threw a punch at the rock sending it back a few feet and putting a crack in it.

"This could be bad if it gets out of hand. Just look how angry he is, he is glowing red!" Twilight whispered in a panicked tone to the group trying not to bring attention to them while he was angry.

Miles threw another punch and put his fist through the boulder. Miles ripped his arm out of the boulder, cut up and bleeding and lifted the boulder above his head. He launched the boulder into the air to great heights nearly hitting a pegasus guard. As it came down Miles threw another punch into the air just before it crushed him shattering it into tiny pieces.

"WHICH ONE?!" Miles stomped over to the terrified group.

"W-what ever do you mean?" Rarity managed to stutter as she saw the red aura get brighter.

"MY MEMORIES NEVER JUST COME ON LIKE THAT. YOU WANTED TO TEST MY EMOTIONS SO IT WAS OBVIOUSLY ONE OF YOU!"

Celestia gulped as he scanned the group for whoever was responsible.

"IT WAS YOU! YOU MADE ME WATCH THE TERRORS THAT I ALREADY LIVED THROUGH! YOU MADE ME EXPERIENCE EVERY BAD THING THAT HAS EVER HAPPENED TO ME!"

"I-I'm sorry. But we needed to see if you were safe to be around others if you were angered."

Miles lunged for Celestia and grabbed her by the throat as the rest of the group watched in horror and shock. The enraged human brought a fist into the air "Lets see how many pieces you shatter into when you are in the boulder's place." Miles lowered his voice to that of an evil growl.

Miles' arm swung but never made contact with the princess. Celestia opened one eye to see a blue glow around his wrists stopping the fist inches from Celestia's head. Looking into his eyes the princess saw the anger and the pain he was experiencing.

Shining gave a grunt as he managed to pull Miles away from the princess. Celestia lander back on her feet and took a step back in shock and fear.

Miles struggled against the magic bonds trying to get at the white alicorn "I won't forget this."

Miles kept struggling to lunge at Celestia while Shining struggled to keep him restrained. Luna walked over and stared him in the eyes up close "You harm my sister or anyone else and you will not be shown mercy." Luna spoke in a low, threatening voice. "Do you understand me?"

Miles snorted in through is nose and proceeded spit flem and snot onto her face. Luna picked him up in a dark purple aura and threw him against the tree rendering him unconscious.

*beep....beep....beep....beep*

"Errrrrr. My head. What the hell happened?" Listening to the heart monitor Miles tried to raise his arms to rub his eyes but was bound and couldn't move them. Slowly he opened his eyes to see he was in hospital.......again.

Looking up he saw two guards stood at attention as the doctor from the previous times he had been in hospital walked in and out of the room.

"Ah, you're awake. You really need to stop waking up here."

"What happened? And what happened to my arm? Its bandaged and bloody. And why am I chained down" A flurry of questions spewed forth.

"The princesses demand that you be in the royal throne room as soon as you awake. Now come with us." The guards interrupted.

The chains released and Miles was escorted down a long corridor into the room where two thrones sat upon a flight of stairs. Waiting in the room was Pinkie, Rarity, Dash, Fluttershy, Applejack and Twilight. A group of guards were placed around the room and Shining took place next to Miles. The two alicorns took place on the thrones with Cadence stood in the middle.

Luna stood to address the reason why everyone was gathered.here "Miles, you are hereby accused of attempted assault on my sister and indecent actions towards myself. What do you have to say for yourself?"

"In all honesty, I don't remember anything from the time Shining brought the rock over and told me to punch it. Everything after that is a complete blank."

"Very well." Luna lifted her horn as the room started to melt around Miles.

Miles was transported to the events that took place the previous day. Miles just stood there as the events unfolded before him. He stood there in shock as a tear rolled down his cheek. The vision faded and he was back in the throne room with an extremely pissed off Luna and Celestia looking down at the floor with a look of deep concentration.

"Now you see what you have done. What say you now?"

"I...I'm sorry."

"You're sorry?! That is all you have to say for yourself after you nearly killed my sister and you spat on me?!"

"I don't know what to say but I do know this. You welcomed me into your home and your kingdom and you gave me your trust. I know that trust is a very hard thing to earn and so is honor. I have dishonored you and myself with my actions. I have never reacted that badly before."

"Yes, you have lost all our trust. As for punishment-" Luna was interrupted as Miles continued

"I'm sorry to interrupt but there is only one way for me to redeem myself and my honor. I must perform Seppuku."

"What is this Seppuku you speak of and why should we allow you to do this instead of traditional punishment?"

"Seppuku is the way in some cultures regain their lost honor after they have dishonored themselves or others. Normally it is done before those who have been dishonored or alone. But if you wish they may watch." Miles nodded towards the mane six.

"Sister, what do you think we should do?"

".............Hmm? Oh, sorry, I was just thinking. Do what you think is best."

"Sister? Is there something wrong?

"No. Let him show us this Seppuku of his if he feels this strongly about it."

"Very well. You may show us this Seppuku of yours."

"If you are easily sickened by the sight of blood then leave now. Its going to get messy. And can we put some sheets down for easy clean up."

As the sheets were laid out Celestia walked out slowly followed by Luna "Sister. What is wrong? Ever since this morning you have been near silent. Tell me what is wrong?"

"You see, Luna, it is my fault for this. I was the one who told Twilight to make him angry and it was my fault for his actions. He hasn't dishonored anyone. But I have."

"Do you truly feel this way?"

"Yes."

"Then let us tell him he is forgiven."

* Meanwhile in the throne room*

"Miles, whatever you did you don't need to do this. You weren't yourself and it wasn't your fault.  Please don't do this." Twilight begged Miles not to go through with what he was planning.

"I realize this. But no matter how angry I was endangering someone else is never acceptable. I dishonored myself and all of you."

"Please don't. I don't want to see you hurt. I couldn't bare to see you in pain."

"No matter what you did, we still owe you for saving us. Especially me. You got those scars on your arm because you had to fight the wolf to save me."

"And look how that turned out. Look at your leg. Your scars are worse than mine."

"Well if you must do this then I can't be around to watch you harm yourself." Fluttershy left in tears flying out of an open window.

"Good bye Fluttershy. That will be the last we speak."

The throne room doors opened as a slightly more upbeat Celestia came in and a not so pissed off Luna.

"Miles, Luna and I have come to realize that it was indeed my fault for your actions. Your anger was brought on by magic under my order. You have been cleared of all charges."

"That's not good enough. I endangered you all and I must put it right. It is a tradition of a culture I have admired all my life. No matter what you say I know it the only way."

"Very well. You may go forward with this and will watch as you stated that it is tradition on your world. But, where is the element of kindness?"

"She left. She didn't want to watch what is about to happen."

"Very well. It isn't going to hurt you is it? You don't need to suffer. We still are your friends."

"That is why I need you specifically to watch. You are my friend but you are also the person who I displayed dishonorable behavior towards. And it is going to hurt like nothing anyone could ever imagine"

"Guards, leave us. Except for you Shining."

The guards left and Miles sat on his knees taking his top off. "Hand me a blade please, Shining."

"Miles, I'm not going to help you go through with this. Celestia, please tell him to stop this madness!"

"I am sorry but as ruler I must allow traditions to pass no matter how I feel about the matter. Hand him the blade." Her voice getting weaker.

Shining passed a knife seven inches long to the human with great regret and anger that he could do nothing but watch.

"Thank you. This blade will do nicely. This is the last chance for anyone to leave if they don't wish to see blood and my suffering." Miles waited before continuing "Thank you for being here, with me in my final moments."

"WAIT MILES NO!!!!" The group yelled out in unison as Miles plunged the blade into his abdomen.

"GET THE DOCTORS! GET THE BEST UNICORNS! GET  EVERYONE!!!" Luna shouted to the guards behind the doors.

Blood dripping from his mouth Miles managed to utter one last thing "My honor.....is regained......." Miles smiled as he pulled the blade from the left side of his abdomen all the way to the right cutting his internal organs in half and exposing his insides to the group.

Rushing hooves, panicked faces and crying friends and royalty was the last thing Miles saw before he fell into eternal darkness.
