Ponyville often had very sunny days, and today was no exception. The breeze was just right, the amount of heat was perfect. The crowds were not too big as to smother, but big enough to give the feeling of a unified town

These were Pinkies’ favorite types of days, and she always wanted to make the most of it. Pinkie would usually find her friends to throw parties for but already did that so many times. She wanted something new. And with the Cakes out for vacation, well...the possibilities are endless.

She poofed up her hair, sat Gummy down next to her bed, and prepared to find any sad souls that were waiting for her. After all, Pinkie was known for ending ponies’ sadness. She was the best at it. She had to be.

Sugarcube Corner looked perfect. It was shiny, light glinting off the wood. There weren’t any customers, however, due to the shop being closed. The Cakes didn’t trust Pinkie with the restaurant, and Pinkie couldn’t blame them. She would wind up giving free treats to all of her guests, which would be bad for business.

As Pinkie opened the doors, she found her target very quickly. A small colt sat next to the store, tucking his head into his hooves. His coat was a bright yellow, his mane seemingly orange. It was hard to see because of a baseball cap saying, Canterlot Wonderblots.

The colt paid no mind to Pinkie as if she wasn’t there, simply crying till he couldn’t anymore.

Pinkie eventually spoke up. “Heya kid! What seems to be the matter?”

As the colt turned toward the pony, she could see his eyes as a bloodshot red. He must have been crying for a really long time. “Did anybody try to help you?”

The kid shook his head no. This surprised Pinkie, as most of the residents were helpful to all, especially little colts. “Do you think good ol’ Pinkie can cheer you up?”

Silence. Pinkie shook her head, bringing an even larger smile. “Come on in! The shops closed today, and it's just me. So we can sing songs and eat sugar n’ stuff!” Squee.

Slowly, and rather silently, the colt got up, and proceeded to walk into the establishment. Pinkie hopped in after him.

The colt looked around the large dining room and was guided to a seat by Pinkie. “Pinkie is here to make you feel better little guy! What do you need to cheer you up?”

The colt finally spoke, his voice high and whiny. It seemed raspy, however, most likely from the crying he was doing. “Can I have a cupcake?”

Pinkie froze, and with it came shivers. These were different. They traveled up her body, and every inch they touch vibrated violently. When it reached her head, she thought she blacked out for a second, but instantly came to. The colt stared straight at her, his gaze never breaking.

She put on a big smile. “Right! One super duper cupcake for the super-duper sad colt!” And with that, she made her way to the kitchen, allowing her to look at the colt. He stopped crying now, instead silently staring into outer space. His mind felt like with was elsewhere, giving Pinkie Pie a busload of thoughts going through her head.

“Vanilla or chocolate?”

“Chocolate.”

“Icing?”

“Yes.”

“No, what type.”

“Vanilla.”

Another smile. “Okey dokey Loki!” Pinkie busily and loudly took out her materials, all to fill the silence the shop brought. In fact, despite seeing multiple residents walk outside, none made a sound. At least none Pinkie could hear.

“So,” started Pinkie, “what’s your name?”

The colt answered rather softly, causing Pinkie to not understand his statement.

“Excuse me, I couldn’t hear that?”

The colt now spoke in a soft tone just loud enough to hear. “Rainbow Dash.”

Pinkie grinned at Rainbow Dash. “Hey, that’s a cool name! Didja ya always have those wings?” For the first time, Pinkie noticed the mare was a pegasus, sporting beautiful brown wings.

“Uh, yeah I think so…” The mare slumped lower in his chair.

Pinkie frowned now and took a break from her current activity to console the little kid. “Now now, Pinkie never meant to harm you! I’m very sorry if you’re feeling bad now!”

The colt squirmed. “Um, no, it’s fine Ms. Pie. Trust me.” He gave a smile that reassured Pinkie. Giving a quick pat on the head, she now returned to making cupcakes. The mixer was out and the oven breathed. As well as the cupcake molds. Then came the flour, eggs, sugar, cream, cyanide, chocolate mixture, and milk. She quickly mixed those into the bowl until they became humongous.

“So, how did you get a name like Rainbow?”

“My mane.”

“Hmmm…” Pinkie squinted at the rainbow-colored man. “Can’t see it.”

The colts lip began to quiver .”That’s what the kids made fun of me for.”

“Oh, but why? A rainbow-colored mane would be sure to make you popular.”

Rainbow shifted around in his seat. “Yeah, but nopony can see it. That’s the problem.”

“Is that why you were crying, my woeful foal?”

Rainbow nodded.

Soon, the mixture was completed, which Pinkie used to fill the cupcake molds. In a quick and seasoned move, Pinkie put the tray into the oven, slamming the oven door. She turned back to her friend.

“Well listen, everypony has a different perception of what they look like! Sometimes, I would wonder what I would look like with straightened hair!”

Rainbow looked confused. “But Ms. Pie, your hair is straight.”

“Huh? No, it’s not you silly-” As she looked at herself in the oven door, she saw a reflection of a pink pony with curvy, bouncy hair. “Oh. I guess your right.” She went back to cleaning the mixer of leftover batter and blood.

“Ms. Pie?” questioned Rainbow. Pinkie looked up at the questioning filly. “Why are you sticking around here at the shop. I mean, shouldn’t you be hanging out with your friends or something?”

Pinkie Pie stopped putting the mixer away to crane her head towards Dash. “I dont really have any friends, come to think of it.” She fought through her mind to find a memory of a friend, but she was at a loss. “I guess I just party too much to make any lasting friendships.”

“And that makes you happy?”

Pinkie shrugged. “Eh, sometimes it’s not about yourself being happy, just seeing others smile into blissful happiness.” She pointed at Rainbow. “You, however, should focus on being happy yourself at your age!” Rainbow shrugged. “I mean it,” Pinkie whined. “You gotta chin up there guy. You can make so many new friends!”

The colt's eyes gleamed at Pinkie. “Really?”

A violent shake of the head. “Yuperoni!” As soon as she said this, the oven’s timer went off, and Pinkie went back to the kitchen. As she opened the door, a wave of cupcake goodness assaulted her nose.

“MMMMM! Freshly baked cupcakes are something you can't beat!” She danced her way to the table where the nameless colt sat. “Eat up!”

“Gee, thanks, Ms. Pie!” Pinkie giggled.

“Don't mention it!” She pointed towards one of the cupcakes, and the colt nodded. She quickly smiled and grabbed the snack. Almost as soon as she ate it, she spat it out. Rainbow-colored hair remained inside the cupcake.

Hack! Hey kid, don’t eat-”

Rainbow-colored liquid seeped from his eyes, as Pinkie quickly fell back in her chair. “Shit! Kid are you ok?” Rainbow didn’t answer, instead quickly picking up the chair and smashing it over the fallen Pinkies body.

Crkkkk!

One of Pinkie's forehooves gave a sick crack, as she quickly scooted back, hitting a wall. Rainbow wasted no time, brandishing a knife he had no business of holding. Pinkie now held her broken hoof, pain coming in waves as the small filly made his way to Pinkie.

“It’s fine Ms. Pie, trust me.” Pinkies voice now came out high and shrill.

“Kid, I don’t know why you're doing this but…” Rainbow stood directly in front of Pinkie, the full-grown mare towering over her.

“I’m sorry, but I need to die.”

“W-what?” questioned Pinkie as she recoiled away from the approaching colt, the knife gleaming in his hand. Thoughts swam furiously through her head, and sweat poured from her hair. Her back tried desperately to become part of the wall. And with a slash of silver, the knife came down…

...across the extended wrist of Rainbow. The hoof flopped to the floor, making a splattering sound. The smile the colt harbored never wavered, his eyes only slightly wincing. Pinkie gave up on trying to speak. It simply wasn’t possible. The knife then came across Rainbows own neck, still smiling as blood seeped out of the open room. The area now smelled like blood, and Pinkie felt the warm liquid touch her. She couldn’t move, she couldn’t react. She needed to, but she couldn't. It grew scalding, burning her and bringing an immense amount of pain. Still, no sound would come out of the ponies mouth, and the limbs refused to move. She was burning alive, and she saw her legs crackle and simmer underneath the lava-like blood. The colt was now on his stomach, still smiling and staring directly at the burning pony. His remaining hoof came across the open womb on the neck and dragged it across the wound. It dug inside, and Pinkie fought the urge to vomit. The neck parts continued to move, and steam continued to come out of the sed wound.

“Y-you like this blood.” Pinkie managed to shake her head until she felt her hips deep in the blood. She couldn’t feel the skin anymore. Only the pain. “You’ll learn to love it. I-itll be what you are. You w-will lust. You will kill. You’re the crazy one.” Its head was now barely above the steaming blood, which now occupied the entire building. “Your friends w-will die. They w-will become your victims. The kills will e-excite you. You will become the perfect vessel. J-just like me.” The laughter then rose, and it caused Pinkies ear to ring. His head then disappeared under the blood, his skin peeling off. But that smile…

She could barely keep her head above the blood. The pain was immense, she could barely feel or hear or understand or-

“You’ll change your mind next time.”
