Starlight was in the Castle of Friendship crying, it's become a habit by now, Trixie and her used to have such a happy marriage and Trixie was nothing but a sweetheart at first but when Trixie kept touring more and more every where that is when things began taking a turn for the worst, they hardly saw each other, Trixie became even more self absorbed and made everything about herself and there was constant bickering and fighting.
"We used to be so happy." Starlight said in tears holding a picture of her and Trixie hugging.
Then Trixie came back in the front door making Starlight frustrated. Starlight walked up to Trixie and began lecturing her
"Where have you been?!" Starlight asked Trixie annoyed she was home so late.
"Relax Your Whininess, I wasn't gone that long." Trixie responded annoyed at Starlight's attitude.
"It has been 3 hours I was worried sick." Starlight yelled annoyed.
"Ugh relax, I'm here now, you're such a worrywart." Trixie slurred wrapping a hoof around Starlight.
Starlight then sniffed the air and began smelling alcohol and began glaring at Trixie.
"Trixie have you been drinking again?" Starlight asked with rage.
"Noooooooooooooo." Trixie lied rolling her eyes.
"Bullshit I can smell the alcohol from here, Trixie you know this isn't a good habit." Starlight spoke with concern.
"Ugh sorry mom, but Trixie is a grown mare and shall do as she fucking pleases you bitch." Trixie told Starlight annoyed making Starlight run out of the room crying.
Trixie hearing those cries then held her head in shame she truly loved Starlight but she was constantly treating her like a foal and she hated it, she began drinking and she knew it was a bad habit but she could not stop doing it, it felt so good.
After a few hours Trixie and Starlight got ready for bed and Starlight began to talk to Trixie.
"Trixie." Starlight began solemnly.
"What did I do now?" Trixie whined at Starlight making the latter rage.
"Look we can't keep going on like this, the fighting, the bickering, the lies, we can't go on like this anymore." Starlight spoke in an upset tone.
"I agree but what can we do? We tried Marriage Counseling but they only recommended we have a divorce and you don't want that." Trixie solemnly said.
"Actually, I think that's what we need."
Trixie pondered the idea for a moment. "Yeah, I agree."
"No we do. We-" Starlight stopped. Wait, did you just agree with me?"
"Yeah, I did for once. We're so different now, and we just aggravate each other and Trixie cannot stand it anymore."
"Yeah. Well, it's settled then." Starlight finished
"Yeah." Trixie said awkwardly.
"Well, goodnight then." Starlight spoke with sadness.
"Hey Starlight-" Trixie began to ask.
"Yes you can. The guest room." Starlight spoke with a bored tone.
"Fine." Trixie growled, grabbing a blanket and pillow.
"Oh and Trixie." Starlight called out.
Ÿes Starlight." Trixie asked annoyed.
"You're going to file for the divorce, okay." Starlight ordered softly.
"Got it." Trixie said bitterly.
And off to bed they went. Even though neither wanted to divorce, they knew it'd be for the best.
The next morning, Trixie was first to wake up. At first, he was confused about where she woke up, but then remembered last night.
"Oh yeah."
As she made his way to the guest bathroom, he walked by Starlight's room to see if she was awake, which she was not. She stood there for a few minutes which made her think, maybe the divorce is a bad idea.
"It's for the best." she muttered to himself.
After all if the divorce is what would make Starlight happy then she would be happy too no matter how much it hurt.
As she made his way to the bathroom, she thought about the days plans. She had to pack her things, go to Canterlot to tell Twilight about the divorce, and make it back to her caravan before night. She had a long day ahead of her. As she began to wash up, Starlight woke up, also confused as to why she was alone, until she too realized why. She walked over to the mirror and looked at herself. She had make-up smeared along her eyes from crying herself to sleep.
"Sigh I can't believe it came to this." Starlight told herself, she didn't want to have a divorce but she knew she had no choice besides both her and Trixie would be happier this way.
Starlight decided to make some waffles for her and Trixie as she knew Trixie liked those.
When Trixie finished her shower, she smelled something cooking.
"What in the world?" She walked out of the bathroom and ran downstairs to the kitchen.
"What do you think you're doing?" She said to Starlight, making Trixie's plate.
"What does it look like? I made food. Have some." Starlight offered nicely.
"Really why?" Trixie asked surprised and a bit touched.
"What? I can't make my soon-to-be ex-wife breakfast before we make this divorce official?" Starlight asked angrily with hot tears.
"Are you upset about a divorce? You agreed to it." Trixie asked in remorse.
Starlight realized Trixie was catching on so she decided to lie and wiped her tears away.
"Yeah I did, and I regret nothing." Starlight lied through her teeth.
"Whatever." Trixie said in a bored tone, taking her plate of food and walking into the dining room.
Trixie then got ready to head to Twilight's castle in Canterlot to file for a divorce she was sad but she knew this was for the best. Starlight saw her off.
"So we're really doing this?" Starlight asked sadly.
"Yes The Great and Apoligetic Trixie hopes we will still be friends." Trixie said mournfully.
"Of course Trixie we will still be friends no matter what." Starlight reassured with happiness wrapping a hoof around Trixie making both blush until Starlight hastily removed her hoof from Trixie.
"Well I should go." Trixie said nervously.
"Okay bye Trixie." Starlight waved off sadly.

Cliffhanger, so I'm writing for StarTrix that's new, well I have grown to love this pairing so I chose to write for it.
Sunset was near the portal beginning to read a message from Twilight, she heard about a lot of things, her ruling Equestria, Spike being Royal Advisor, Celestia’s Retirement and all that. She finally graduated from Canterlot High and that was so overdue as she was technically an adult by now if we took Equestria years into account but this dimension is weird.
She also heard about Trixie and Starlight’s wedding which made her feel a bit enraged but she knew better than to ruin a marriage. She didn’t approve of Trixie, not one bit she was slimy and egotistical, worse than her Trixie but the Trixie from this world changed so maybe she’s not that bad.
Dear Sunset Shimmer
Things aren’t so good Starlight and Trixie are getting a divorce, Trixie pushed Starlight too far and now they are no longer marefriends.
From Twilight Sparkle
Well this really was a parallel universe, Sunset seethed with rage at how poorly Trixie mistreated Starlight, Sunset’s always had a crush on Starlight but of course Trixie was her mare friend so she stood no chance.
Sunset then began to formulate a plan maybe she can gain Starlight as a mare friend now that Trixie and Starlight are no longer a couple, it seemed a bit shallow but she wanted to make sure Starlight was emotionally healthy before she asked Starlight to be her mare friend. She was already going back to Equestria anyway so she had nothing to lose from this.
“I’m coming Starlight.” Sunset said before jumping in the portal.

Yeah change of plans I had this sub plot happen because it seemed very cool, don’t worry Sunset isn’t gonna be evil because in her mind she is in the right so there will be no antagonist just a romantic rival to create conflict, next time we will get to Starlight.
Trixie was walking to the train to head to Canterlot, she was heading there to file for the divorce with Starlight.
She began crying as she waited for the train, why must everything good in her life be taken away from her?
“Why was I such a fool? Starlight deserves better than me.” Trixie said to herself solemnly as she wiped her tears.
Pinkie Pie then sat next to her and began speaking “Maybe she does, maybe she doesn’t but we don’t know that for sure.”
“Ah Pinkie Pie please cease thy babbling for I am having a romantic crisis.” Trixie dramatically stated.
“You pushed Starlight too far, she had enough of your behavior so you both agreed to a divorce but you don’t want that so you are crying because you love her.” Pinkie Pie guessed stoically.
Trixie widened her eyes at how good Pinkie was at guessing “How did you know?” Trixie asked shocked.
“Me and Rainbow Dash has a poll of how long it would take before you would have a divorce, I said you would not have one by 2 years but she said you would so I guess I owe her 50 bits, way to let me down.” Pinkie Pie chastises.
“Yes it is true the Great and Powerful Trixie is soon going to lose her great and loving wife, why was I so horrible?” Trixie cried
“You’re not horrible Trixie you just made some oopsies in your marriage but accidents happen.” Pinkie Pie said comfortingly.
“You’re right Pinkie but I have to do this for Starlight.” Trixie admitted bashfully.
“Okie-dokie but if you change your mind I have a shredder.” Pinkie Pie whispers.
Pinkie Pie bounced away as Trixie remembered one of their best memories.
”Trixie do you love me?” Starlight asked as the two were cuddling in bed.
“Of course Starlight? Do you not think Trixie loves you?” Trixie said a bit offended.
“No I just love hearing you say it.” Starlight admitted blushing.
“Well I love you and I always will.” Trixie said affectionately.
Trixie then broke into sobs again.
Trixie was heading to the castle to file for a divorce and she felt she was about to cry, the guards let her in and she was ready to face Twilight. She made it to the throne room where she saw Twilight and Spike.
“Trixie it’s nice to see you, how is everything?” Twilight asked happily flying up to Trixie.
“Not so great your highness, Starlight and I would like to file for a gulp divorce.” Trixie said in tears.
Twilight and Spike both gasped are the news, they knew Starlight and Trixie have had some arguments but they never thought it was that serious.
“What happened?” Spike asked concerned.
Trixie walked up to Twilight and began speaking.
“Your highness none of this is Starlight’s fault I take full responsibility for what happened between us, I was rude, egotistical and sometimes I even drank alcohol, and I caused Starlight so much more pain than she deserved, I don’t want to have this divorce but if it makes Starlight happy I will go through with it.” Trixie proclaimed.
Twilight knew this was serious since Trixie has never addressed Twilight like that before and could tell she was truly sorry.
“Well Trixie, I will file the divorce papers and hold divorce court for you and Starlight with whatever guests you would like to invite, I’m so sorry this is happening.” Twilight spoke with sadness.
“Me too Twilight, me too.” Trixie said with tears.

Cliffhanger again, next time we look at Starlight’s POV.
Starlight’s head began flashing back to when everything was fine and happy between her and Trixie.
“Do you Trixie Lulamoon take Starlight Glimmer to be your wife.” Twilight asked in the altar.
“I do.” Trixie proclaims happily.
“And do you Starlight Glimmer take Trixie Lulamoon to be your wife.” Twilight asked.
Starlight looked happy and was crying tears of joy.
“I do.” Starlight proclaims happily.
“Then I pronounce you mare and er mare I guess.” Twilight giggles nervously.
Starlight and Trixie then kissed it was a moment Starlight wanted to last forever.
Sadly for our poor Starlight some things don’t last forever, she began crying in solitude.
Sunset came through the portal and was nervous on how she would help out Starlight but she decided just being there would help her out.
Sunset then looked over to see Starlight crying and seethed with rage at Trixie, but sympathy for Starlight.
She chose to walk over to Starlight and surprise her.
“Hey Starlight.” Sunset said with some concern.
“Oh hi Sunset, I’m guessing you heard the news.” Starlight said in tears.
“I did, and I am so sorry.” Sunset apologizes sincerely patting Starlight on the back.
“It’s not your fault Sunset, it’s mine for believing that Trixie would actually be a good marefriend.” Starlight exclaimed bitterly.
“She is a bit egotistical, but you two did seem to care about each other, so I’m kinda surprised it didn’t work out.” Sunset analyzed.
Sunset wasn’t lying when she said that she was kinda surprised even though kinda was the key word.
“I thought so too, but I guess I was just never meant to be happy.” Starlight sniffs out.
“No Starlight, you do deserve happiness, Trixie just treated you terribly and she doesn’t deserve you, from what Twilight told me she pushed you too far.” Sunset motivates.
“Thanks Sunset that was really helpful.” Starlight says happily while hugging Sunset who returned the hug.
While she was trying to gain Starlight as a marefriend, Sunset was being 100% genuine and both of them knew it.
