The Seventh Element
Gotta Start Somewhere

Luna walked over to the hole in the wall as Trixie and the others began picking up rubble.
She noticed her hoof was wet and looked down to see that she had just stepped in a puddle inside the castle (rain could now get in after all).
She lifted her hoof and looked at her reflection. Wow. The internal change she knew about, but she didn't know she looked different too. It looks like she had some traits of Nightmare moon, she was now a midnight blue, she was taller and she had a starry mane.
'I can live with this, I don't look too bad.'
Heck. She was beautiful!
A drop of water fell from above and sent ripples through the pool of water. She looked up to see the moon was full and at its highest point. She couldn't help but smile at its beauty. Of course she was biased, but nevertheless she had always felt night was the most peaceful.
Luna watched as Trixie began placing whatever undamaged bricks she could back in to the wall. When she finished it looked like a jagged mess.
"Would you like some Help Trixie?"
Without waiting for an answer the mare touched one of the bricks that was sticking out with her horn. The edges of the hole began to shine brightly and slowly take the shape of a perfect circle a hoof or two off the ground, making a large observation window of sorts.
"I will never understand your pony's magic" Trixie said in awe.
Luna was impressed as well, unicorn magic can't manipulate physical objects in such a way. Unicorn magic usually surrounds whatever they are trying to affect with a magical field and then they just move the magic around. This pony seems to be making things change their form.
"How did you do that?" Luna asked her.
"Well, the explanation is a bit long, Princess."
"I spent 1000 years on a moon and thousands before that, I live for quite a while" Luna smiled down at her.
She returned the smile.
"Well, where to begin! As you know, unicorn magic is really good for things like moving objects and the occasional forcefield, but that is about it really. Well that's helpful, but not all the time, so we use and ancient form of magic that has been passed down among my ponies for untold eons. This method of controlling magic is different. Instead of focusing on large scale manipulation, which we can still do by the way, we move things on a much smaller scale."
"What do you mean?"
"Molecules!"
"Molecules?"
"Molecules." She grinned at Luna's apparent lack of understanding.
"We're from pretty far away Princess, we study magic a bit different than you.
Basically, everything in the universe is made up of molecules; that grass, these stones, the moon, you and me. If we're all made of the same stuff, why are we so different, right? It's because of the order the molecules are in. So we just rearrange things and that turns it in to something different!" She seemed very excited to be explaining her magic to Luna... Either that or she just couldn't help smiling and hopping up and down in place at random times.
"So you can turn dirt in to a building?" Luna asked raising an eyebrow, clearly skeptical.
"Well, we need equal ingredients, you can't make something from nothing! It's all about equivalence, I pay 2 bits I get an apple not a new house, I have ten stones, I can only make something with the same mass. That's why there is still a hole in the wall, it just looks nicer." She smiled at her work.
Luna's brain had a slight itch, this pony was either a genius or crazy. The story sounded a bit familiar though...
"I'm Gaia by the way!" She held out a hoof. "I'm sorry we didn't get a chance to talk earlier, you seemed busy!"
Luna shook her hoof.
"Its a pleasure to meet you Gaia."
"Like Trixie said, She'll never understand you." She gave Gaia a wry smile.
"An' I'll never understand either of you! Can we get this meetin' started Princess?"
Luna answered without taking her eyes off of Gaia.
"Yes, let's."
There was something odd about those red eyes, but she felt it would be rude to ask.
The four of them walked over to a round table that had been set up by Sir Klass, which he was now setting tea and crumpets on.
"Where in tar-nation did you get all this stuff from Klass?"
"A true gentleman is always prepared my lady."
"Yeah, but that there table-"
"Would you like one lump of sugar or two Miss Applejack?"
Applejack decided it really wasn't worth continuing.
"Er- one"
They took their places at the table, Luna sat down with her back to the moon that was now visible in the new window behind her. The others looked at her with admiration.
Luna was a bit embarrassed by the looks on their faces. She shifted uncomfortably in her seat before beginning.
Well, um. You all know why your here.
Starting a rebellion wasn't as easy as one would think.
"I guess I should get to know who I'm working with better first, right?" Nopony said anything. "Trixie, I know you. And Applejack now I remember you."
Applejack nodded.
"So how about you Gaia?"
"Well, I live in the whitetail woods with my fellow ponies, the Gaians-"
"Wait." Luna cut her off, "So you're Gaia the Gaian?"
"Yes, unique isn't it?" She said with a cheery smile! "Anyway, we Gaians are very technologically advanced, but we try to be nice to our forest with what we create, some of us call it being eco-friendly. Most of our inventions are centered around cleaning up our environment and taking care of the creatures we live with. We're nice to them and they're nice to us!"
There was a pause while Luna wondered why Trixie had brought Gaia here.
"Oh and we have guns. Lots of guns! Big guns and little guns and tiny weird guns that turn ponies inside out!"She was still smiling....
She rubbed her chin with her hoof and looked at the ceiling.
"Actually now that I think about it, we have more military inventions than anything else..."
Seeing the look of confusion on Luna's face, Trixie chimed in.
"They have the equipment, but not the stallion-power Princess. The Star Swirl Society has known about the Gaians for some time because of their odd magic, but their military and technological advances are a recent discovery."
Seeing Luna struggling Trixie pulled out some parchment.
"I think I can help you out, Princess"
'Oh thank you, Trixie!'
"This is a little checklist Trixie has prepared. Things we will need if we are going to get Luna back to her rightful place as at least, an equal to her sister!"
"A list?
"Yes, a list. Trixie finds them very useful for organization." Trixie said with a smile.
And you and Twi' hate each other?" Applejack gave her a skeptical look.
Trixie's brow furrowed at the thought of Twilight Sparkle
"Yes, we aren't exactly friends."
"Well fer two mares that don't like each other, y'all sure are a lot alike, sugarcube."
Trixie looked as if she wanted to knock that smug smirk right off of Applejack's face.
"I say ladies, please do keep it classy, blood stains are terribly difficult to remove from one's mane."
"Just bein' honest" Applejack gave Trixie the best trolling smile she could muster.
"Er- So Trixie, what is first on this list of yours?"
Trixie stopped glaring at Applejack and instead glared at her list.
"Well, first things first; We need to know what our ultimate goal is. I assume, Princess, that you just want to be an equal to your sister?"
"That's the best case scenario, yes."
"Okay, well then we need to decide what sort of resources we will need and what we currently have."
"I am quite good at numbers and I am more than willing to keep track of such things. I am the mayor of Manearola and being a classy society, we have vast economic wealth! Funding, my fair Princess, will not be a problem. Your troops will be equipped with the best bits can buy and I do say they will be the classiest on the battlefield!"
He gave a short, very classy, chuckle.
"Speaking of troops, Princess, we are lacking in that department. We have specialists from the Star Swirl Society and the Gaians, but neither group is really trained for front line battles."
"Well, I didn't think we would be able to pull this off with only the few of us in this room."
"Of course not, that's next on the list though. I was thinking we could try to get the help of the Gryphon kingdom to the North, I can't see Cloudsdale helping us much, so we will need another form of air defense."
"I'll see if I can get the gals to join us. You have one element, Luna, but the more you have the better."
"Well if that is all we have for now, then it will have to do until we can find others who sympathize with us."
She looked around at the rest of them.
"What's next Trixie?"
"That's about it actually, we just need our orders."
"But, wait... We need some sort of headquarters don't we?
Trixie gave a mischivious grin.
"Oh, don't worry princess... I've got that one covered." Trixie explained her ideas for their base of operations.
Luna became more and more impressed as she listened to Trixie's plan...
"It's settled then! Gaia, get us some ponies to build, Sir Klass, get the supplies. We'll meet you both there as soon as you're done. Be discreet, if Celestia finds out about us now, we've already lost."
"Yes Princess."
"It shall be done!"
Luna turned and watched as the moon began to set.
