Her heart was pumping. Her head was spinning. Spark couldn't help but think of just...that one mare. That. One. Single. Mare. Out of ANYONE, why her? She had asked herself this so many times, but got no answer.
Spark was stuck without an answer like usual. Her brain was just...her. She shouldn't feel this way towards her friend. That word. Friend. It didn't fit, not one bit. That word just spun, spun, and spun like a little dancer in shoes within her chest all the way to her mind. Her mind felt so disorganized with all of this.
Spark paced back and forth, her hooves making clip clop sounds as she paced. "How can I keep this in any longer? It's making my chest ache and my head pound. What if...What if Dash doesn't like me back?" She told herself this many, many times. It just felt like a drug was stabilizing her as she thought about that, her heart just aching endlessly as her mind rambled on about this thought.
Shaking her head miserably, she hid that irritable thought away. She will just keep her feelings to herself. Lifting up the quill, and gently dipping the tip into the ink jar, hearing it making a nearly quiet drip drip sound. Sighing softly, she started to write silently to herself, her yellow gaze looking at every small cursive word she wrote and making sure to not make an mistake.
Dear Diary,
Hey diary, yup it's me again. Sorry about being unable to speak to you. Wait, why am I saying sorry to a diary? Anyways, I am just here to talk about how I feel about..her. She is so..stubborn and stupid at times! It's hard not to ignore it when she acts so..so ARROGANT! I..it is so hard to not like her stupid actions and not laugh at them! Heck, it even gets to the point where it is stupidly cute! If you were an actual pony, I would show you her and greet you to her! Why am I getting all like this to a diary? Anyways, I really can't control how I feel about her..she is so cute, stupid and arrogant. See you next time diary.

That seemed to fit, Spark nodded silently to herself. She closed the book, hearing it make a rather silent noise while it shut. Taking a deep breath, she put her diary, quill, and ink on the desk beside her bed, making sure to shut the cap on the small ink bottle. Maybe later today she-
knock knock
One of the dark blue unicorn mare's ears perked up. Who could it be? Silently, she hoped it wasn't her. The thought of the dark blue pegasus just made her heart beat even faster, her mind racing as she rather quickly made her way to the door. Hesitant, she grabbed the door knob, taking a deep breath before opening it. The tightening feel in her chest disappeared slowly as she saw the familiar deep, dark pink colored mare with rather very bright, yellow eyes staring at her deep golden ones.
"Hey Spark!" The mare smiled, her red mane remaining as frizzy as it ever was. Spark gave a soft smile to the optimistic mare in front of her, remaining silent for a few moments before replying.
"Hey Joy, what did you come here for?" Spark was rather curious of why she would come here so late, since it was almost sundown.
"Oh! Dash and I thought that you could come with us for a walk! Dash is waiting in the forest, saying she will wait for us if she even has the patience to." She stifled a chuckle, but Spark's tightness returned. Great, she better not act awkward around the two of them. But what if she does? What if she stutters? What if-
"Um..are you okay? Your face just got very flushed after I said that." Joy's rather still optimistic voice interrupted Spark's worrisome thoughts, making the unicorn mare shake her head, forcing a grin upon her face.
"What? Oh! I'm fine! Nothing's wrong!" She laughed nervously, grinning wider as it started to hurt her cheeks. Oh sweet Celestia I feel like an idiot. Spark thought nervously, her forced grin slightly fading as she saw the rather doubtful look on Joy's face.
"Okay then.." She replied, before continuing, "Will you be able to come with us then?" She tilted her head, rather quizzically as if she wanted to know.
"Oh! Sure! I'll Come! No Problemo!" Spark retorted quickly, her false grin fading as it turned into an actual, soft smile as she let out a small laugh as well.
"Alright! Do you want me to wait or go ahead and just go and you'll come when you want to?" Joy tilted her head once again, only to be replied with an very quick, rather forced response from the unicorn.
"Go ahead and just go! I'll be there! Okay!? BYEEEE!" She immediately slammed the door shut, trying to regain her breathing posture. Yes she felt a tiny bit guilty for doing that but the fact she will be going with them and get extremely embarrassed?! Spark's eyes looked up at the light on her ceiling, her ears hearing the rather sudden faint clip clop as her visitor left to go into the forest.
Sighing, she decided to get prepared, which wouldn't take long as all, right? A lump in her throat formed, the unicorn went ahead and went right on over to the same desk she put her diary on. Using her magic, she lifted up the small notebook, opening it to the page she recently wrote on and carefully ripped it off.
Some droplets of sweat rolled down her forehead, looking at the paper before folding it, hiding it away on a jacket she was planning to wear when going. Possibly a stupid idea, but she did it anyways.
Putting it on quickly, she trotted her way to the door, opening it and immediately walking out. It seemed like there was no turning back now...

Spark heard the soft crinkle of the leaves below her, the autumn leaves were always such an amazing sight to her. Giving out a small smile, she took a deep breath in, the air filling her lungs rapidly. The scent smelled exactly like her scent. Forest like, with a little tinge of pine within. The thought of the pegasus made her once again feel heated in the face, shutting her eyes, she washed those blue eyes out of her mind. She was going to be fine!
She constantly repeated to herself over and over that she will not embarrass herself in front of them, and that she will be fine. After a few hours of walking(and maybe a little daydreaming), she made it over to the rather large oaken tree. It's leaves turning into a beautiful orange-red color as some of them fell off gracefully. They were so pretty.
"Hey Spark!" That squeaky voice that echoed in her mind at day and night spoke. Looking up, trying not to look flushed, she noticed the lithe and small dark blue pegasus, usually known to be hanging on tree branches, giving her a cocky grin.
"Oh! Hey Dash!" Play it cool Spark, play it cool. the unicorn mare thought to herself, her cheeks warming, making her not feel cold to the face from her harsh blushing.
"What took you so long, Sparks? Packing up your stuff or something?" Dash rose an eyebrow, her dark blue gaze looking at the deep golden gaze of Sparks, not even realizing that she was flushed.
Spark just gave her a look, forcing herself to not laugh at the arrogance of the other mare, especially when she called her by her nickname. Don't laugh don't laugh don't laugh! she told herself bitterly, her chest very tight now that it was hard enough to breathe properly to laugh!
Dash just smirked and laughed, getting up and jumping off the branch with cat-like agility. Her laugh. That right there nearly made Spark get caught off guard, nearly making her squeak and run off. Luckily, she forced it inside as she quickly used her magic to zip the jacket up higher, hiding her face.
Spark noticed a little bit of the folded paper in her pocket, immediately she pushed it back in, hoping the other two mares did not notice.
"Aaaaanyways!" Joy's voice interrupted her thinking, her bright eyes brightening even more as they usually did. "We will be going to the library!"
Dash's eyebrow rose, her blue gaze slightly narrowing. "Why the library? Is that the first place you have in mind?"
Joy's bright gaze made contact with hers, as well as her eyes narrowing, but still remained bright like usual. "Do you have any other ideas?"
Dash's ears slightly went flat, looking away as she muttered under her breath. "No.." Spark really couldn't help herself but chuckle at their argument. But, it was merely focused on Dash's arrogance.
Joy's smile returned, her eyes now brightening. "Great! Now let's go!" She bounded away, smiling as she didn't give them enough time to follow. Dash just sighed, going ahead and following, Spark following last.
Spark looked at the pegasus in front of her. Her runner type body was always in her mind..as well as how agile she was, maybe..maybe her fur is softer than a- NO! Stop thinking about her like that! She is just...a friend.. Spark let out a tight exhalation, looking over at Dash then after as she caught up beside her.
"Um..Sparks? You didn't answer my question earlier. Why were you late?" Dash questioned, tilting her head as her blue gaze made contact with Sparks gaze. They were shining like sapphires and it made Spark's heart skip not just one beat, but two beats.
"Well..you were right about packing up some books. But I also was writing in my diary too.." Some of that was true wasn't it? But then she had to think of a lie..she couldn't just blurt out that she was daydreaming about her!
Dash tried to stifle a laugh, but failed miserably to. That cute laugh caught Spark off guard, making her blush even redder than a cherry. "Wow! You write in your diary! Here I thought only colts and fillies do that!" she grinned, her cocky grin making Spark blush even more. Stop being so cute! she yelled on the inside, her heart now beating faster as sweat was sticking onto her jacket. Great, that will have to get washed.
"Hey girls! We're here at the library!" They both heard the enthusiastic voice of Joy in front of them. Looking up, Spark saw the tall, sturdy building of the library.
"Well let's go in, shall we?" Spark spoke up, interrupting the trio's moment of silence. They each started to walk towards the entrance, Spark's ears heating up as her body was literately close to Dash's!
As they walked, the warmth of the library immediately made Spark's fur settle, making her feel comfortable even though she wasn't on anything. Suddenly, a red colored griffon popped up, her green gaze looking around at them.
"About time I had some visitors come along! No one even bothered to show up!." She smiled, waving a talon around in greeting. "Greetings! How may I help you three today?"
Joy just shook her head, smiling just as much as the griffon was. "No need! We are just coming in here to read a few books! That's all, but thanks Nemara!" She started to bound away towards the fantasy section, her grin even wider than ever. Dash followed, her gaze trailing around the books, trying to look for something interesting.
Spark..well..she didn't exactly move. Her eyes was just in contact with Dash looking at the books. Once again, her mind was blurred by the pegasus. Why did she feel like this? Why couldn't it have been someone else?
"Something wrong miss?" Nemara's voice interrupted her thoughts, making the unicorn jump before looking at the red feathered griffon.
"Oh! N-Nothing at all! J..Just..um.." She really couldn't figure out the words to describe how she was feeling. It was making the lump both in her chest and throat grow more and more, making her breathing unsteady.
The griffon started to give out a smirk. A smirk that made the unicorn suddenly feel even more embarrassed. "You like that pegasus gal over there don't you?"
"What?! No! There's no way I would-" She stopped in mid sentence as she noticed her flushed face, immediately making the mare sigh. "Alright..you got me..I do."
Nemara smirk faded away, before reaching a claw out, patting her on the shoulder. "Hey, it's alright to have a crush, I know how it feels my gal. I bet you can tell her how you feel when the time is right." her smile remained. This helped Spark's chest stop it's tightening feel, making her smile, "Thank you Nemara."
Nemara just waved a claw, giving out a slight chuckle. "Oh it's nothin. Now go find yourself a book before I toss one right at ya!" She gave a shoo shoo sign with her talons, making Spark smile more before going into the fantasy isle. Maybe this won't be so bad after all!

The three mares found their books. Spark decided to sit on a chair at a table while reading her book, which was unnoticeably the popular series Daring Do. But she wasn't able to get far into reading it as her eyes were distracted towards the mare beside her that was on a beanbag. Her
With a soft smile on her face, she watched as Dash was intent with her book, before a sudden harsh blush formed upon her face when the Pegasus looked up at her. "Um, you good?" Dash's brow raised, making Spark look away.
"Yea, I'm fine! Really!" She grinned, a harsh blush on her face. She looked down at the book she was reading. Before a soft plumph noise was heard. Looking over, she immediately realized what it was.
It was paper.

Immediately, Spark almost froze in place. Her heart now pounding harder than ever. It pounded even more when she noticed Dash pick it up, unfold it, and read it.
Oh no..nononononono! Spark thought frantically, immediately falling off her chair with a loud thud. Her mind was in pieces, now scattered in places as she saw Dash's face turn red. Salty water formed in the unicorn's eyes, starting to drip seamlessly to the ground.
Getting up, Spark immediately ran off, her ears blocking the sounds of everything around her. Her eyes were now becoming waterfalls, running out of the library and sitting down at the entrance. Dash ran out of the library too, going over towards her. "Spark I-"
Spark immediately turned on her, "I'm sorry okay!? I..I like you! I want you all around me! Okay!? Now..I just can't hide it!!!" Her voice was cracking, tears making a puddle mess upon the ground. Getting up once again, she ran off, not even bothering to hear Dash telling her to wait. This had became such a disaster zone.

Tears were a mess upon the ground, Spark's eyes were extremely puffy and red. "Stupid..stupid..stupid...I should of kept it a secret..and not take it with me. I am such an idiot!" She sobbed, her voice endlessly cracking, unable to control it.
Looking up, she looked out her window. Her vision was slightly blurry, but she saw a small, dark blue blob of Dash below. Was she there to tell her to yell at her?
A tight feel formed in her chest, getting up, she made her way over to the door, opening it, she ran out, going right over towards her. Dash just looked at her and..smiled? "You know, you could of told me in public instead of just writing it down right? But anyways, how long have you kept this in?"
Spark shook, taking in a shaky breath before retorting. "I..I have kept it in for months. I liked you..a lot after you lead us out of that situation with the great hunger. You were so..brave and arrogant, but also stupidly cute. I wanted to see more of that. Becuase I really just..want to be around you every day, and see what you do." She was able to let it out..finally the tight feel slowly disappeared, but it still remained.
Dash just came a little closer towards her, smiling still. "Well..I'm willing to give it a shot."
Spark's golden gaze went wide, her throat giving her the chance to speak after a few moments. "W..What? R..Really?"
Dash nodded, sitting beside her, wrapping a dark blue feathered wing around her. "Yup. But..we are taking it slow. We ain't gonna be rushing like all those other couples do." Spark couldn't help but laugh at that, burying her face on the side of Dash's dark blue shoulder.
Her scent was honestly the thing she wanted to smell mostly. Forest green..with a pinch of pine..It was all she wanted. She felt the other mare lean against her, a purr feel forming inside the pegasus's chest. Spark's tight feel was now no more and she was able to be with the pegasus she always wanted to be with..

Okay, this took me over 4 or 5 HOURS to get done! But now I will start with a little explaining!
Spark is the main character that develops a crush on Dash, who is NOT RD! These are my OCs that I had ever since 2015! If you feel like there should be any fixes please let me know and tell me how you like it! The last part probably feels rushed because I was rushing on stuff.
