"Twilight are you sure this is safe?"
"Sure it is spike don't need to worry your little head about it,"
"Well I get that the princess gave you their powers and all but I don't think this spell is safe I mean we don't know what it does yet,"
"Yet... but we will figure it out after we try it!"
"But-"
"ONWARD WITH THE EXPERIMENT!"
*Misses the target and hits a mirror sending the spell flying straight for spike*
"SPIKE!"
"TWI-"
*POOF!*
"-LIGHT!" Spike shouted as he blinked the familiar shape of the friendship castle was replaced with the sight of the... dragon lands?
The dragon confused about why he appeared in the dragon lands? Was the spell Twilight used must have been an old teleportation spell... well maybe? As he looked around the mountains of lava and dark rock were everywhere as he blinked he didn't remember the volcanos being this huge and being so many!
Then it hit him like a train!
This wasn't the dragon lands!
No, he was somewhere else altogether!
The sky was filled with dark ash making it almost impossible for him to fly in as he looked down to see rivers filled with magma as he stepped back in shock.
Where in all of Equis was he?!
"Sweet Celestia... this is just like power ponies issue #88,"
Spike tried to calm himself down before he was tackled by something or someone holding his hands over his face he screamed.
"Please don't eat me!" Spike said as he waited for the end but it never came as he opened his eyes confused looking up he saw a dark-furred figure stand over him with red eyes.
Scared and confused spike looked up at the being before him as he saw a smile on his face and a wagging tail.
"Ummmm... good boy?" The dragon said as the canine creature smiled as it spoke.
"HIYA! I'M TUSK WHAT'S YOURS!" The canine creature said introducing himself as 'Tusk'
"I'm... spike... its nice to meet you, Tusk," Spike said confused as Tusk got off him as spike noticed what he was wearing, looked like somekind of old fashion shirt and pants but his feet were bare but it didn't seem to bother him.
Though somewhat scary the appearance of Tusk would make any pony run for their lives but not spike he knew to never judge a book by its cover and this was the same case. Spike stood up as his wings stretched out as Tusk gave an 'ooooo' as he looked at spike's wings.
"Are those real?" He asked to which spike nodded.
"They are," Spike said as Tusk grinned.
"So cool!"
"Hey, Tusk?" The canine looked up.
"Yeah?" He asked to which the dragon spoke.
"Where are we?"
"Where are we? Did you hit your head or something we are on Nocturne," He said with a proud smile.
"Nocturne where is that?" Spike asked to which Tusk hummed.
"I think somewhere near the outer rim of the system I don't remember,"
'OUTER RIM! LIKE HE'S ON ANOTHER PLANET!'
"Um...alright," Spike said still trying not to panic. "Well... Tusk?"
"Yeah?" The beast's tail wagged.
"Where you from?"
"Oh me? My home isn't far away, my brothers are always super cool and nice while I train to become a salamander!" Tusk said putting his hands on his hip as he had his chest out proudly.
"A salamander?"
"Yeah, there the greatest warriors of the emperor of mankind and that is the whole reason I was bred to become a tool of the emperor!" He said as he smiled.
'Emperor of mankind? Bred?'
"I-"
"TUSK!" A voice shouted in the distance as Tusk turned his head.
"OH! That must be brother Zen'tu," Tusk said as he turned back to Spike."Come on he'll love to meet you!"
Spike blinked before he was grabbed and dragged across the dark rocks as Tusk ran with great speed for someone his size as the spike was about to ask where they were going. They stopped as spike groaned landing on the back of his head as Tusk looked up, holding his head spike got up.
"Tusk what was that for-"
Spike looked up to see what Tusk was looking at with a smile to see a large being in black armor with a skull-like helmet on his head as it looked down at him with red eyes. Frozen with fear spike's ear rang as he heard his own heartbeat with the sound so loud that he couldn't hear what Tusk was saying to the large being before spike watched in horror as the being brought down its hands to spike.
Afraid he was going to snap his neck or something spike wanted to run but his body was frozen with fear as the being picked him up into the air as if the baby dragon was a newborn babe. The skull-faced being inspected him before setting him down as he held his chin as he spoke in a deep but kind voice.
"Tusk," The canine perked up with a tag wag."Take your friend to the living area for now and please for the love of the emperor stop running off do you want to be eaten by a firedrake?"
Tusk lowered his head.
"No brother,"
"Good then take 'spike' here I must contact Tu'Shan about him," Spike confused didn't have time to say anything as he was dragged once again as he turned to see two green armored beings stand next to the robed skull helmet being.
Confused about what was happening and who this Tu'Shan was spike watched as his 'friend' dragged him to other beings like him in an area where they all were playing. When they stopped Tusk was about to introduce spike to his tank-brothers but spike spoke up first.
"Hey, Tusk?"
The canine turned to him.
"Yeah Spike?"
"What's going on?"
Tusk then spoke with a smile.
"Well... I think Zen'tu thinks you have what it takes!"
"What it takes to be what?"
"A SALAMANDER!"
It was true for somehow spike... the strange dragon creature that was summoned to Nocturne had in fact (after much debate by the salamander's leaders) was compatible with the gene-seed of the salamanders. Though he was different from a human his anatomy wasn't all that different compared to the tank-bred intelligent warbeasts or the natural-born humans of Nocturne.
Spike didn't know it then but for the next 50 Terrian years Tusk and he would form a bond stronger than steel, though Tusk's tank-brothers died off from either the training or after they became primaris space marines which were killed in action. So much battle turns a simple friendship into a brotherhood lasting stronger than anything that imperium has rarely seen so much so the two now share the same blood that flows in their veins.
So when the two were 18 they cut their palms and held each other hands forming a blood pact on the day before they became true sons of vulkan! 50 years are short for a space marine but it's enough for the two brothers to be apart of the first company the firedrakes with the two watching each other back they became an unstoppable force of fire and steel. Though 50 years passed to them only one year passed for Twilight and her friends who were worried sick for their dragon friend but as the spell wears off the Spike and Tusk arrive in Equis in over 50 years!

I haven't touched my favorite chapter of space marines in a little over a year now and I decided to bring them back baby! That's right I turned a shit story into someone decent story that you guys can enjoy after so long!
