Two kingdoms sit at the far eastern edge of the world, the last of the known world, and the two richest kingdoms in standing there have been long at odds, from the days of their grand empires and even now. Niln sits in the north, a land with only small amounts of fertile land, most of the land being damp and cold lands of hard and infertile soil. But, it became rich off of its mineral wealth with gold, silver, copper, iron, and Black Iron. It sits ruled by King Rignar II The Tower, ruling over the numerous holds of his kingdom.

Equestria sits further south, covered greatly by fertile farmland and great regions of mineral wealth, it sits as the richest kingdom in the far east, ruled over by many great petty lords who answer to the strange rulers, two kings, and two queens. King Blueblood is married to Queen Twilight Sparkle while King Shining Armor is married to Queen Cadence.

Few truly knew of just how strained the relations with their northern neighbor were, but as they bend, they soon break.
