Pinkie Pie is currently taking stock of inventory over at Sugarcube Corner. Reason is because she still works there, and that she’s also gonna babysit the Cake Twins after work. Unfortunately for her; she’s gonna have a really rough day... .
“Hmm; so that’s one box of frosting, two cups of sugar for the sweets, three boxes of candy for the cakes to be baked, and then three crates of flour for just in case of shortages. Well; it’s all here. I can’t wait for until we open! It’s gonna be so exciting!” Pinkie Pie said whilst jumping up and down with glee.
Just then; a random friend of hers stopped by... .
“Hello”, said the rainbow maned Pegasus.
Pinkie turned, and said; “oh, hi rainbow dash. Can I get you anything?” The friend said in response; “yes pinkie. Umm... . Hmm... . Uh... . I give up.”
With that; Pinkie just gave out a random cupcake; which in fact turned out to be her friend’s favorite. “Ooh; red velvet. Very nice.” said the rainbow maned Pegasus. “That’ll be twenty bits please”, said Pinkie as she opened the cash register; (or bits register? I’m not too sure). The friend then gave the right amount, and left with her sweet.
After a few more orders; things have been starting to get really good for little Pinkie. Until... .
“Ahem!” said a big stallion. Pinkie Pie looked on in both nervousness, and horror as she then knew who it was that demanded her attention. “Ooh.. um.. *gulp*. H-h-hi there, mister inspector. *gulp*. Uh... w-w-what can I get you, *clears throat*, to order?” With that, the stallion has pulled out a list that’ll make a certain alicorn blush, and listed out his demands... .
“Let’s see here...” the stallion said as he’s preparing to list out his demands. He read on in suspense, and then made his move. “Ah... . I’ll have... two dozen vanilla swirl cupcakes, a half dozen chocolate chip cookies, three red velvet slices of cake, and six pieces of chocolate truffles; please.”
Pinkie looked on in amazement, but frowned, turned to the inspector, and said; “w-we don’t have truffles.. s-sir... . We don’t sell them here... . We’re a bakery; not a candy shop.”
Disappointed; the inspector just scoffed at that answer, and then said; “whatever... . Just get me a lemon lime swirl cheesecake... . And don’t make it too big. Thank you.” With that; Pinkie saluted, and did the best she could to uphold the inspector’s standards... .
After a few hours; this happened... .
“Well... I gotta say; I’m impressed...”. said the inspector. Pinkie gasped in excitement, and waited for a response. With that; the inspector flatly responded; “however... I’m not that impressed.” Pinkie’s jaw dropped to the floor, and then the inspector continued; “not just because of you ponies not having any sweets other than baked goods... . You guys also have ‘clearly’, some false advertising.... . I mean; it’s called Sugarcube Corner; right? So why isn’t there any other sweets, and just cakes? I don’t get it... .”
Pinkie gulped; knowing full well how this is gonna end, and then says; “well... you see...”.
But before she could finish her sentence; the inspector puts a hoof to her mouth, and says; “you know what? Forget it. I’ll just take my cakes, and leave my review here...” whilst carrying his products, writing out his review, and then leaving behind some bits to cover the costs of what he ordered. He then continued; “and you guys can bet that I’m never coming back here ever again... . Oh, and one last thing...” he said as he approaches Pinkie Pie. “Wear a hairnet for Celestia’s sake. You look like a weird and crazy circus clown, hahaha,” he said as he gave out a chuckle. With that; the inspector left his review; (which was bad), and then left; feeling proud of himself that he’s stooped another worthless pony, (in his opinion), to his own level. And with himself feeling satisfied; he goes back to his own home, and gorges down on his sweets that he ordered... . “Wow it’s good to do that to somepony... hmhmhmhmmm...” the inspector said as he’s thinking of his recent moment with Sugarcube Corner.
Pinkie Pie; now having been criticized by a rude awful pony; starts tearing up, and runs upstairs to her room to cry her eyes out; (figuratively of course).
“Uuh... Pinkie Pie?” the mare with a cupcake cutie mark said as she enters the sad pink pony’s room. “You feeling okay? That was a very rude pony back there. You feeling alright sweetie?”
With a sniffle; Pinkie Pie shook her head no, and then says whilst having tears streaming down her eyes; “no... I’m not... .” Pinkie Pie sniffles again, and then continues; “that big meanie made me cry.” And then Pinkie Pie began to cry right now.
Feeling bad for Pinkie; the pink swirl maned earth pony went to sit down next to her, and wraps a hoof around her before saying; “yeah.... I know... . That big mean pony thinks that he clearly owns us, and the entire shop huh?... .”
Pinkie Pie looked to the pony, and whimpered; “yeah?” before waiting for a response.
The pony replied with; “and... well... he kinda does... in a way... . Heh... .” The pony then looked on to Pinkie Pie in anticipation, and awaited her response... .
Pinkie Pie then replied with; “what? No way? He should never own this place... .” With hooves crossed, Pinkie Pie blurts out; “he’s a big meanie butt... .”
The pony sighs, and then says; “yeah... but hey; look on the bright side.” The pony then turned to look at Pinkie Pie, and says; “at least he can’t bully us anymore... right?” Pinkie Pie nodded, but then says; “yeah... . But what about the review? Won’t anypony read that, and think that we’re not a good bakery?”
The pony then pats Pinkie’s back, and says; “that’s true, yes... . But then again; not that many ponies read reviews that badly criticizes other workplaces now... do they?”
Pinkie responded with; “no...”. And the pony replied; “exactly...”.
Pinkie Pie thought about this for a minute, but then asks; “but wait? If anypony never reads reviews like that... then why do they still accept them?”
The pony then pulled Pinkie close to them, and says; “well... . To make themselves improve; right?” Pinkie nodded, and then the pony continues; “exactly... . So what if we get bad reviews? No pony’s gonna take them seriously... right?”
Pinkie nodded again, and then turns to reply; “right.”
The pony then pats Pinkie’s back once more, and then says; “exactly... . So? If any pony’s gonna say something bad about us, then so what? Am I right?”
Pinkie Pie; now feeling determined; stands up, and says; “right.” The pony then says; “exactly”, and stands up as well.
So... . Since the two ponies are standing up; Pinkie Pie asks; “so... what are we gonna do now?”
Before the pony could answer that question; the mare then asked Pinkie; “wanna help me take care of that?” as there was crying coming out from the hallway.
With a smile; Pinkie said; “yes”, and looks at the pink swirl maned earth pony mare. “Alright”, she began. “Let’s do this.”
With that; Pinkie Pie and Mrs. Cake went out into the hallway to calm down Pound and Pumpkin Cake. After a few good minutes; the twins are happy, and Pinkie Pie had a good day in the end.
