A Chaotic Family

"Discord!" Fluttershy exclaimed as the creature she had been waiting for showed up at her doorstep. "Glad you could come back."

Discord looked at the yellow pegasus in slight shock. "Me? Miss a tea party hosted by you? Not in a millennium!" Fluttershy smiled slightly.

"Come in. I got your favorite,"

"The Green Tea that actually makes you turn green?" Discord squealed. "You know me so well!"

The two sat down at the table as Discord teleported in a plate of cucumber sandwiches and placed it gingerly on the table. They snacked in silence for a few seconds when Discord piped up.

"So, how has your family been?"

"Oh, they've been good. Though, Zephyr just can't take Dash's hints that she doesn't like him." Fluttershy chuckled. "It's even funnier that he doesn't know that she's not too into stallions."

"I'll bet," Discord said while drinking some tea. "I've noticed her behavior around Applejack. Something tells me she's quite interested."

Fluttershy smirked. "Say, Discord. How come you've never talked about you're family?"

Discord, who was drinking tea, spat it out. "Beg your pardon?" He said nervously as he wiped his lips of any excess tea.

"You've never talked about your family before," Fluttershy eyed the draconequus's nervous expression. "Sorry, did I assume that you had one? Oh, I should really mind my manners." Fluttershy looked down in embarrassment.

"No, no, Fluttershy. It's okay. I do have a family." Discord said reluctantly. "Just don't like talking about them." Fluttershy perked up.

"Why not? Are they mean to you?"

"No, their, uh, quite the opposite."

"Well, what's wrong?" Fluttershy looked at the draconequus, her teal eyes growing big that said, "tell me what's wrong." Discord had to admit it was adorable, but he shook his head.

"Well, it's just..." As Discord hesitated to talk, a mini version of him came out of his ear and perched itself on his shoulder.

"C'mon, dude. Just tell her!" The mini Discord said in a voice that sounded like Discord if he had inhaled helium. "Tell her that your family is weird!"

"But how?!" Discord whispered to his miniature self. "You know as well as I do it'll be embarrassing. And I know you know it 'cause you're me!"

"I'd like to meet you're family,"

"WHAT!?" Both Discords yelled. The miniature one disappeared into smoke as Fluttershy started talking again.

"I'm sure they can't be that bad. They're just like you aren't they. I'll bet that after having a good tea party, they'll be....not whatever you don't like about them"

Discord gulped. "I-uh-maybe we-I-I don't-look, I-I...UGH, FINE!" Discord huffed. "But only because you want to."

"Yay!"

Discord picked up the pegasus in one hand and used the other to snap his fingers.

"Childhood home, here I come!"

"So, this is where your family lives?" Fluttershy said, eyeing the house in front of her and Discord. Actually, could it even be called a house? The first floor was a small "McDragon's" restaurant, accompanied by a giant cruise ship that looked a lot like the "Tailtanic." The second floor looked like it was two hotel rooms, and the top floor was a Jumbo Jet--wait, do those even exist in Equestria?

"Welcome, Fluttershy, to the place I used to call home. It was only my luck that I got my own home." Discord grumbled under his breath.

"Well, what did I expect?" Fluttershy shrugged. "These are the parents of the lord of Chaos himself, right?"

Discord went up to the door to knock.

"Let's just get this over with," he sighed. But just as Discord lifted his hand to knock...

"WELL, HOWDYA DO, SON? We've been expecting you!" The door swung open to reveal a draconequus, slightly taller than Discord. He looked al lot like the creature Fluttershy knew and loved, except his hair was grey with silver highlights. He swiped Discord into the house.

"Hello, father." Discord said, rubbing his arm nervously.

"Ooooh! And who is this?" The father looked to see Fluttershy, who was still outside. He picked her up like a squeaky toy and held her up to Discord.

"Err, that's my friend Fluttershy." Discord replied. He bit his lip.

"Hey, what's all the commotion down here?" a voice from upstairs called. Actually, they didn't have stairs. Well, they did, but they didn't lead anywhere. A figure teleported into the room. She almost looked like a genderbent version of Discord, but her lion's paw had dark green spots.

"Eris! Dissy came!" The father exclaimed. Eris smirked.

"See, Mischief? I told you he'd come back." Eris said proudly.

"Hi mother,"

"It's so good to see you again, Dissy! I've been telling your dad that you'd come back, but he always said I'm crazy."

"Really? He said he was expecting us, too." Fluttershy said softly. Eris turned her head at the pegasus.

"Oh! And whose this little angel?"

"Her name's Fluttershy!" Mischief exclaimed. "She's a friend of Dissy's!"

Eris looked at Discord firmly. "You made friends with a pony?" She said furiously. Discord started to sweat.

"Well--"

"Just kidding! We all know you reformed." Eris laughed. "We just didn't know who you were visiting every Tuesday." Discord stared in shock.

"H-how did you--"

"We installed invisible cameras into your house!" Mischief piped. Discord looked at his parents. His face started to turn red.

*toot*

"Smoke comes out of the wrong holes when he gets angry." Mischief chuckled.

Discord sighed. "We'll talk about this later. Where's Loneliness?"

"She's been up in her room all day," Eris sighed. "I swear, you cannot separate that girl from her room."

"Loneliness?" Fluttershy asked.

"My older sister."

Discord teleported him and Fluttershy to the second floor where Loneliness was at. Discord knocked on the door of the room she was in.

"Go away." A voice that sounded a little like Maud Pie, but with a more edgy tone answered the knocking.

"Lonely, It's me, 'Dissy'. I came to visit."

The voice sighed. "Come in."

Discord opens the door. A bunk bed, the bottom a dark pink, and the top a bright red, with a draconequus laying on the bottom bunk, staring at some sort of device were in the room. The draconequus, who Fluttershy guessed was "Loneliness", was also very similar to Discord, but her black hair was covering one of her eyes, and her lion's paw was replaced with the paw of a black panther.

"Dissy, long time no see." Loneliness said, not even looking up from the device she was holding. "What brings you back?"

"I wanted to have a friend of mine meet you and Mother and Father." Discord said.

Loneliness looked up from the device to see Fluttershy standing next to her little brother.

"Hi," Fluttershy said shyly.

"Really? Couldn't you have gotten someone better?"

"Hey!" Discord snapped. "Don't insult her like that."

"I was talking to the pegasus." Loneliness chuckled. Discord rolled his eyes.

"Oh, har har!"

"Now that wasn't very nice, miss...err...Lonely!" Fluttershy said to Loneliness. "He's your brother!"

"Oh, I'm soooooo scared!" Loneliness said mockingly. "What are you gonna do, slap me in the face?"

"I mean it, missy!"

"Try me, Butterfly!"

Fluttershy stared intently at Loneliness. "If you can't be nicer, maybe you shouldn't even BE DISCORD'S SISTER!!!
...Um....if that's okay with you."

Loneliness, who backed up from the pegasus, smirked at her brother.

"Wow. Who knew my brother could get such a cool girlfriend?"

Discord and Fluttershy blushed furiously.

"WE'RE NOT DATING!!!" Discord yelled.

"...Yet." Loneliness said darkly.

*Bloop*

"Oh, that's my phone!" Loneliness picked up the device she was holding earlier.

"Umm..." Fluttershy looked at the device curiously. "What's a phone?"

Loneliness turned her head to the pegasus so quickly, it could've snapped off right then and there.

"Girl, YOU ARE MISSING OUT ON SOME FUN." Loneliness picked up Fluttershy and set her on the bed, showing her something on the phone.

"See, to get anywhere on this, you need to tap on these squared-shaped icons..."

Discord decided to leave the room and let the two have their own little "girly time." He teleported himself to the first floor.

"Mother? Father?" Discord called out. He was alone on the first floor, in the "McDragon's" restaurant. The restaurant was used as a kitchen, for making and eating food. The usual for them were Hayburgers and Prench Fries, and sometimes a foal's meal if they felt childish enough. Discord called out to his parents again.

"MOTHER? FATHER?"

"Well for pony's sake! At least call me first if you want a response!"

Discord turned his head to see Mischief and Eris come out of the cruise ship, all wet. The ship was flooded, so it was used as a pool.

"You too are soaking wet! I'll get a towel!" Discord said. Mischief and Eris laughed.

"Don't you remember, Dissy?" Eris chuckled, taking out an umbrella out of nowhere. "We don't use towels,"

Before Discord could speak, Mischief got on all fours and shook the water off like a dog. Water rained down everywhere, including on Discord. Since Eris had an umbrella, she stayed dry. Well, she was already wet, so she didn't get any more wet. As Mischief finished, Discord had gotten all soaked, looking very unimpressed.

"I forgot all about that."

"My turn now!" Eris exclaimed, lending the umbrella to Mischief and getting on all fours.

"AH! NO WAIT--" Discord cried, but was cut off as Eris started to shake. This left Discord even more soaked.

As Eris finished she looked up at Discord. "If you want to shake it off, it's fine. We both have umbrellas..."

"No, no, it's fine," Discord said in a tone that sounded like the was fighting the urge to scream at his parents. "I will use a towel, like a civilized human...I mean pony!" Discord pulled towel out of nowhere and started cleaning himself.

"Dissy, you're not a pony..."

"STOP CALLING ME THAT! It seems that all you ever do do is treat me like I'm not smart! Like I'm a kid! I'm not 600 anymore! Plus you're weird! I mean, I'm weird too, but you just take it to the next level! Just stop!" With that, Discord turned around and walked up the stairs that lead to nowhere, not noticing there was a wall at the top of the stairs, which he blindly bumped into.

"Ow."

Discord teleported upstairs. Eris and Mischief looked at each other, both with confusion and sadness on their faces.

"Eris, do you think he wants us to...not be chaotic?"

"I think so."

"Wow, Lonely! This phony--"

"Phone."

"...Phone is really nice! I should really tell my friends about it."

Fluttershy and Loneliness were upstairs playing games on the phone.

"So, what do your parents usually do?" Fluttershy asked.

"Most of the time, their just talking. But when they feel like it, they both go into the swimming pool. Sometimes, they go into the hot tub and...well...I'd rather not go into detail. There's kids reading this."

"Reading what?"

"Nothing."

"STOP CALLING ME THAT!" They heard from downstairs.

"Was that Discord?" Fluttershy asked. "What's going on?"

"That's weird." Loneliness said, raising an eyebrow. "He never raises his voice at Mom and Dad."

Then they heard a poof coming from the next room.

Discord sat on the bed in his parents' room, with angel and devil versions of him floating around his head.

"Maybe you were a bit too harsh there," The angel said. "You should go apologize." The devil rolled his eyes.

"Don't listen to that dweeb!" The devil snapped. "Your parents are just some weird embarrassments that will never understand you. They deserved it."

"You should apologize to them, Discord."

"Apologizing is an egghead move!"

"Do you seriously think they deserve this?"

"They deserve this."

"JUST STOP!" Discord cried, making the angel and devil disappear. Just as they did, Fluttershy came into the room.

"Discord? I heard you yelling earlier. Is everything okay?"

"Fluttershy, I think I screwed up." Discord said, shapeshifting into a giant screw. "I yelled at my parents, saying that they treat me like a baby and how their so weird!"

Fluttershy sat beside the draconequus. "Is that why you were hesitant to let me see them? You thought they were weird?" Discord reluctantly nodded.

"Yeah."

"Well, go apologize then." said Loneliness, coming into the room. "I agree our parents are a little nutso," she spawned in peanuts that floated in mid air and shaped themselves into Eris and Mischief. "But I still love them, the crazy things."

"I agree. You go apologize to them." Fluttershy said. Discord smiled at the pegasus.

"To the downstairs we go, then!"

"Mother! Father! I have come to--"

Discord had teleported him, Fluttershy, and Loneliness to the first floor, to see that everything looked...normal. The restaurant looked more like a house. There was a door that lead to an indoor pool where the ship used to be. The stairs that lead to nowhere were gone.

"What the..." Loneliness said, looking at their new surroundings. "Are you sure this the same place I live in?"

"My powers never lie, Lonely. Though this is very strange." Fluttershy looked at the scene. This situation seemed familiar.

"Hello, Discord!" Eris and Mischief exclaimed from behind the group.

"You were right. Maybe we are too weird. All more the reason we should change things up!"

"Oh no!" Fluttershy whispered. "This isn't good!"

"Here, sit down!" Mischief said, pulling a chair out from under a table. "We're preparing lunch!"

Discord, Fluttershy and Loneliness sat at the table as Eris and Mischief put down some sandwiches in front of each of them.

"Man, when their trying not to be weird, their even weirder," Loneliness whispered.

"Discord!" Fluttershy whispered. "Your parents are becoming not chaotic! They might start to fade away like you did!" Discord chewed on his fingernails.

"I-uh-I came down here to apologize for my behavior earlier."

"No need to," Eris said. "It just made everything better!" She went to get something from the counter, when what she wanted to get phased through her hand. Mischief, who was cutting a sandwich, dropped the knife had holding. When he tried to picked it up, his hand phased through it.

"Well that's not supposed to happen." Eris said.

"Oh no!" Discord cried. "Mother! Father! Please! Stop doing this! You're fading away!"

"We are?" Mischief looked down at himself and saw his body was becoming transparent. "Oh, I guess we are."

"Quick! Discord! Do something chaotic!"

Discord snapped his fingers, causing a stick to appear.

"Really?" Eris said, looking at the stick. "A stick? You could have made it a stick figure!"

Mischief piped in. "Better yet! Make it a stick figure that commits crimes! Then he gets arrested because of his crimes! Then he uses his skills for good! Then he get arrested again! Then he....wait, am I opaque now?"

Eris and Mischief stopped fading and became opaque. The two started making the house chaotic again.

"Hoo hoo hoo! Boy is it good to be chaotic!" Eris exclaimed.

Loneliness looked at Discord. "Great job, bro. Though the fact you just thought of a stick was a little lame."

"Fun fact: I did that on purpose!"

"Ok, that was real clever."

Discord turned to his parents. "Mother. Father. I'm sorry. I should've known better than to yell at you like that."

"Don't knock yourself out, kid!" Mischief said. "If it wasn't for your friend here telling you about how we were fading, we wouldn't have known!"

"Wait," Fluttershy perked. "How did you know I said that?"

"We have good ears." Eris said proudly.

"Well, this went a lot better than I thought!" Discord laughed. "I don't know what I was scared about."

"It nice meeting you all!" Fluttershy said. "Oh, and Lonely?"

"Yeah?"

"Do you think I could get my own fun?"

"Phone."

"Whatever. You know what I mean."

"Sure!" Loneliness spawned in a phone identical to the one she had and gave it to Fluttershy.

"Thanks!"

"How come she was never that nice to me?" Discord huffed. "Goodbye everyone! I'll see you all another time! Maybe on Hearth's Warming."

Discord teleported him and Fluttershy back to her cottage.

"Well, I guess that concludes today's tea party. See you next Tuesday!" Discord waved goodbye as he walked out the door.

Fluttershy smirked. "Goodbye....Dissy. "

"NOW DON'T YOU START!"
