Soon the bottle of anger fully infected Starlight and she seethed with rage. “Starlight what’s going on, Trixie is sorry for whatever she did.” Trixie apologized. But Starlight only narrowed her eyes at Trixie and bellowed! "Oh, now you're sorry! But you sure weren't sorry when you were treating this all as a joke! You kept acting like it's no big deal if we don't find that table map! But if it's not there when Twilight gets back, she'll kill me! And it'll all be your fault! You didn't listen to me!" "Starlight..." Trixie began in a desperate plea. "Twilight was right all along about you!" Starlight went on. "Ever since you came into my life you've been nothing but trouble! And I've been too blind to see the reality for myself until now! But if this is how you treat me when I'm in a jam, by blowing off my concerns and stuffing your face, I guess our friendship isn't that important to you! Admit it, all this time you've just been using me to try and settle your score with Twilight!" Trixie protested with a gulp. "That's not true, Starlight. Trixie has been sincere about wanting to be your friend, you know that." "But you didn't listen to me!" Starlight snapped, her eyes glowing an ominous shade of red! "You ignored my warnings, bugged me while I was trying to make tea cakes and ruined them, and now you're dragging me all over town because you can't remember where you sent that map that I HAVE to get back! And on top of that you decided to just snoop through my saddlebags like it's no big deal.” "T-the Great and Powerful Trixie had no idea that bottle was so important to you, Starlight, honest," Trixie insisted. "Please, this isn't the Starlight Glimmer I know and love. Something's come over you." "You're right, something has, YOU!" Starlight accusingly pointed a hoof! "You are the worst! I befriended you against Twilight's initial wishes, and all this time I led myself to believe that you really, sincerely cared about me! But now I see it was all just an act, and like a moron I believed it! Well now my eyes have been opened, I see you for the below-average illusionist you truly are!" “Starlight please stop, you’re gonna make me-“ Trixie begged tearfully. “Cry with those crocodile tears ha. I don’t care all I see right now is a filthy below average illusionist wasting her life on pointless pursuits no one gives a f*** about.” Starlight spoke with rage. "Starlight, please! Whatever's causing all this, you must let it go!" Trixie pleaded in tears! "Trixie's sorry if she caused you any stress, she really didn't mean to make you upset!" "It's too late for that! You're too late! You only wanna help yourself From this moment onward, I am no longer your friend! And I don't ever want to be AGAIN!” Starlight coldly retorted! Trixie then ran away tearfully running away, Starlight was right she did cause this pain and now she has to live with the consequences. Spike was horrified at what he just witnessed, he knew Starlight meant none of those words and that she was just infected with anger but he had to stop this. “Starlight please snap out of it.” Spike said shaking Starlight. Starlight then no longer had glowing red eyes and her anger vanished she felt dizzy but she remembered everything she said and teared up. The townsponies then coldly glared at Starlight and one of them said “You know kid it isn’t your anger that’s the problem it’s your heart, you deserve to suffer, c’mon guys we’re out of here.” The townsponies left leaving Starlight in tears. Starlight and Spike found the map in the Spa and were able to teleport it back to the castle but Starlight still felt empty, Spike felt really bad for her and realized he needed to fix this, or she was probably going to do something drastic. Trixie was in her wagon crying her eyes out she could never face Starlight ever again, she wasn’t mad at Starlight she deserved those horrible words before she could think about anything else a knock on her caravan was made and she opened the door seeing Spike. “Oh Spike have you come to lecture Trixie on her horrible behavior?” Trixie asked stoically. “No I came to tell you that Starlight didn’t mean those horrible words she said her anger infected her and made her say those things.” Spike said. “But she was right I caused all of this and now she doesn’t want to see me again.” Trixie said tearfully. “What you did was wrong, but she also should not have said those horrible things, come on let’s go I think she’s ready to talk to you.” Spike said pointing to the castle. Spike and Trixie then headed to the castle where they went to find Starlight they got increasingly worried as they could not find her anywhere but then Spike checked Starlight’s room and found something he didn’t want to see. “Oh my gosh TRIXIE!” Spike called out. “Spike what is it?” Trixie asked frantically but then she saw it a sight she never wanted to see, Starlight was on the floor bleeding. “She has a faint heartbeat but we have to take her to the hospital quick.” Spike said in a scared tone. The two then headed to the hospital, Trixie got increasingly nervous but then the nurse showed up. “She is still alive but she is very unwell she keeps bawling and crying it is a vicious cycle.” Nurse Redheart said solemnly. Spike then burst into tears himself but Trixie was horrified at what was happening to her friend she needs to fix this. “I would like to visit Starlight Glimmer.” Trixie said solemnly. //-------------------------------------------------------// Twilight’s Reaction //-------------------------------------------------------// Twilight’s Reaction Spike and Trixie headed back to the castle and sat at the map table, Trixie was sweating in her hooves she was so nervous to face Twilight especially since she was technically the reason why Starlight was in the hospital. Twilight then began glaring at the stage magician and dragon the two began to laugh nervously at what Twilight planned for them. “So let me get this straight, Starlight our Starlight was pushed to the point of suicide because of how she yelled at Trixie and her thinking she was a menace to the world?” Twilight asked angrily. “I don’t understand, why are we getting the blame we did nothing to cause this.” Spike said frantically. “Yeah after Starlight went back in time and tried to rewrite history, those words ring a bell?” Twilight asked angrily glaring at the small dragon who was shrinking in his seat. “What? I could not have caused this that was just a joke, it was never meant to hurt her.” Spike said with tears. “Yeah well maybe being reminded of her terrible past hurt her more than you thought, she told me how suicidal she felt, I’ve been trying to help her while you just continue to laugh and joke about her past like it’s not a big deal.” Twilight lectures at Spike. “I had no idea, if I had known I never would’ve said those things.” Spike said about to cry. “Twilight please he’s about to cry stop.” Rarity begged rushing to defend Spike. Twilight then saw how hurt Spike was and wrapped her wing around him and cried on his shoulder. “I’m so sorry I should’ve told you about what your jokes were doing to her.” Twilight apologized. “Thanks Twilight I’m sorry I even made those jokes.” Spike apologized back. “Don’t tell me that, tell that to Starlight.” Twilight instructed. “Yeah we should probably visit her now, shouldn’t we?” Rainbow Dash said curiously. “Of course Rainbow, let’s go girls and Spike.” Twilight said before they all went off to see Starlight at the hospital. //-------------------------------------------------------// Visiting Starlight //-------------------------------------------------------// Visiting Starlight Twilight and the Mane 5 all went to Starlight’s room almost immediately they were so concerned for her. “Starlight you’re okay.” Fluttershy said relieved hugging the unicorn’s face which she smiled at. “Hey Fluttershy, hey everypony sorry I worried you so much.” Starlight apologized mournfully. “It’s alright darling you have nothing to be sorry for but uh please don’t do that again I nearly had a heart attack.” Rarity said sheepishly. Everypony stares at Rarity “An actual heart attack.” Rarity clarified. “Oh yeah Twilight was worried most of all in fact she even blamed Spike at one point.” Pinkie Pie said glaring at the Alicorn. “Pinkie I apologized for that.” Twilight lectured angrily at the pink earth pony. “It doesn’t matter you still hurt him.” Pinkie Pie yelled out. “Twilight I told you Spike wasn’t causing me to feel this way, his jokes certainly didn’t help but they weren’t that hurtful.” Starlight lectures softly at Twilight. “I know I was just so mad that I blamed everypony that was causing you pain and that just happened to be Spike.” Twilight said in regret. “Well Twilight you coulda been less harsh.” Applejack admitted honestly. “I know and I’m sorry.” Twilight apologized in unhappiness. “In other news we contacted Sunburst about the whole thing and well he certainly didn’t take it well.” Rarity explained. “How bad did he take it?” Starlight asked worried. “He seemed very stressed his letter was written very hastily and quick but he’s not too worried.” Spike said appearing which made Starlight and Spike feel awkward. “Uh...Starlight.” Spike awkwardly said. “Uh...Spike.” Starlight awkwardly returned. “Uh awkward.” Rainbow Dash whispered to Pinkie Pie. //-------------------------------------------------------// The Talk //-------------------------------------------------------// The Talk Spike began speaking “Starlight I heard about what I did and I’m sorry for the jokes I made, they weren’t funny looking back they were very mean, and I never should’ve made them because you would be in a better state right now otherwise.” Spike then began whimpering on the floor and began sobbing. “Spike it’s my fault too I should’ve told you the jokes were annoying me and it wasn’t your fault for any of this while your jokes certainly didn’t help they aren’t the reason I’ve been doing this.” Starlight reassured the dragon. “I’m not?” Spike asked looking up at Starlight with tears in his eyes. “No, what really was causing me this was the rumors, the teasing, the mocking from other ponies who say I should not be forgiven and the fact that they are right; all I do is cause pain EVERY TIME!” Starlight wailed in her bed. “Starlight why do you think we keep you around?” Twilight asked comfortingly. “Because I’m powerful.” Starlight answered glaring a bit. “No, it’s because we’re your friends and we love you.” Twilight said embracing the young unicorn as the rest of the Mane 6 joined in on the hug including Spike in it as well. “The doctor says you need to stay here until the wounds have healed but we will visit all the time.” Twilight reassured breaking away from the hug. The Mane 6 and Spike began leaving as Starlight looked on wondering if everything will be okay. //-------------------------------------------------------// The Announcement //-------------------------------------------------------// The Announcement Twilight called an assembly at the town square, Mayor Mare allowed this due to her being the princess and all plus the issue of suicide was very serious. Twilight then spoke at the microphone “Attention everypony it is with deep reluctance that I have to say Starlight almost succeeded in the act of committing suicide today. And she has told me the cause of this was due to excessive bullying and harassment making her feel worthless, well here is the thing, from now on if somepony is to ever harass anypony again they will be punished by community service and if they are pushed to the point of committing suicide, you go to prison I will not tolerate this behavior I know this is probably common knowledge but I think I need to say it again.” One of the ponies began muttering something in the front row. Spike caught wind of this and recognized the pony well he was the pony in the blue coat who said Starlight deserved to suffer. He glared at the asshole and began speaking as he heard something he did not want to hear “Oh I’m sorry I didn’t hear you what did you say?” “I said why should we care about some scumbag’s suffering she deserves it.” The Pony asked angrily glaring at the dragon. Rainbow Dash was about to beat the Pony senseless before she was held back by Applejack. “You’re the reason she even did this, I remember you, and the fact you said Starlight deserved to suffer.” Spike angrily pointed out. “So what? She’s a criminal why should we care about her feelings?” The blue coated pony smugly asked. “Because if she doesn’t make it out alive it will be all your fault and you will have caused another pony to die.” Spike yelled angrily. The blue coated pony then sat in his seat in shame while Twilight began speaking “Since you were unaware of your actions and all you said were some rude comments, I will let you off the hook but should you do something like this again you will be punished.” The assembly then left while Spike then became remorseful . “Twilight I shouldn’t have caused this incident, can you forgive me?” Spike asked in remorse. “Forgive you? I’m proud of you, you stood up for your friend, and made it clear that what he did was wrong and that was amazing.” Twilight said hugging Spike which the dragon returned. Trixie watched the scene happily she just had to deal with a pony who made her friend miserable. //-------------------------------------------------------// Talking It Out //-------------------------------------------------------// Talking It Out Trixie headed to Starlight’s room where Starlight was crying and was horrified seeing Trixie. “Go away please, I don’t wanna hurt you.” Starlight cried out. “Starlight please we need to talk.” Trixie commanded softly. “B-But what I said, y-you cried and I-“ Starlight stuttered before Trixie cut her off. “Starlight what you said was really mean but I needed to hear it.” Trixie admitted solemnly. “Trixie I could’ve been less of a jerk when I said it though. I didn’t mean anything I said about your pursuits being pointless I am so sorry.” Starlight admitted apologetically. “Sh, it’s okay Starlight you just had a magic red cloud controlling you but we all make mistakes.” Trixie comforted in a soft voice. “Why suicide? What you said was not a big deal.” Trixie lectures softly. “It was more than this whole fight we had, I was just making mistakes everywhere I went and I felt like I caused pain everywhere I’ve been feeling this way for a while now.” Starlight admitted sadly. “Starlight did you ever-“ Trixie began before Starlight cut her off. “No, I never cut myself until now but I did think about it.” Starlight quickly spoke. “Well Starlight we all make mistakes, but it’s best we learn from them to keep going now I should go, Twilight’s probably gonna come here worried sick. Promise me you’ll never do this again.” Trixie said seriously. “I promise.” Starlight promised with a sad smile. Author's Note I hope I wrote this well I am not trying to offend anybody who has felt suicidal, I am trying to handle this subject as seriously as possible, so let me know if I did something wrong.
