"I had prayed to God that this thing was fiction." - Colonel William Wilson, a combat veteran who conducted an investigation into the massacre at Mỹ Lai

Michael B. Wanner is a man of many regrets.

Nearly 52 years ago, Mike was drafted into the Vietnam War by the Selective Service Act. If you were to ask him about the war, he would just stare off in the distance for a while, before answering that he did not want to talk about it.

Now, as a 74 year old man, he lives out his life peacefully, as he tries to forget all of the atrocities that he has seen . However, one stormy night, Mike is contacted by a strange being, begging for his help.

As he is thrown into a new world, Mike will discover that this world is not all sunshine and rainbows. Join him, as he struggles to combat the darkness in this fallen world and as he not only helps others heal, but as he also helps himself.

It's a long road to redemption.

WARNING: This story is going to be much darker than my other stories. I advise that, if you do not like gore, that you keep moving on with your day.

This story is the second installment of A Solder's Story and it will focus on the Vietnam War. This story will contain some of the atrocities committed by both sides of the war.
