Chemical Romance

Twilight opened her eyes, her vision was hazy and blurred, she had an intense headache and she felt numb. Twilight couldn't recall what had happened, it was just too sudden, one moment she was studying the creatures of the Everfree Forest and the next everything went black as she fell unconscious as her body registered a swift impact on the back of her head.

As Twilight's eyesight focused, she took note of her surroundings, a large cave with several entrances and something appeared to resemble a throne of some kind, everything was black. The feeling in her body returned to her and she realized that her hooves were stuck to the floor by some unidentified sticky green substance, there was only one creature that came to mind. Changelings.

Twilight should have known not to go into the forest alone, she thought she might have learned that lesson after Fluttershy had to save her from a cockatrice, apparently not. She struggled to free herself but to no avail, her magic wasn't even working here, she was trapped.

As she gave up the fight, she heard the familiar laugh of Queen Chrysalis, ruler of the changelings. Chrysalis sat upon her throne and said "Twilight, don't bother trying to escape, it's a fruitless effort. One of my drones has already replaced you and you're powerless!"

Twilight didn't like to admit it, but Chrysalis was right.
