The Amazing Adventures of Spike Drake: Dragonfire Hero
Nightmare’s Frustration
Previous ChapterNext ChapterMeanwhile, in a dark lair, with Nightshade and Nightingale leaning against the wall with their hoods and goggles taken off, Trixie had finished using her magic to heal Descent up. “How is that?” she asked.
“Oh, much better. For some reason, I didn’t know dragon fire with that kind of power could be so hot,” he answered.
“You’re lucky you survived that attack,” Nightingale commented.
“Otherwise you’d be barbecued into crisp,” Nightshade said.
“Hey, lay off. We were lucky, but next time it’ll be different,” Descent said.
“Though I was wondering, why did you take it for me? Trying to get on my good side?” Trixie asked.
“Hey, no offense, but the scorched look doesn’t actually suit you,” he chuckled.
Trixie smirked, “Yeah. It’s more your thing.” After giggling and snickering, they all laughed together.
Suddenly, they felt a shadow cast over them and saw someone approach. It was an anthro alicorn like Celestia and Twilight, but she had a very dark cornflower blue coat, and blue armor over a pair of matching long sleeved gloves and thigh high boots, and over her shoulders, while wearing a purple and black top that hugged her rack that matched Celestia’s, and had a helmet made of the same armor that allowed her horn to pierce through, and her translucent skirt that matched her overflowing dark phthalo blue and grayish Persian blue mane and tail was held by an armored belted underwear around her waist. She also had moderate cyan eyes with slit pupils and purple eyeshadow and mascara.
The four of the. were scared as they saw she did not look happy, “So, you four not only failed to kill the boy again, but you got yourselves tossed around by him?!” she bellowed.
“Mistress Nightmare, please,” Trixie pleaded.
“We almost had him,” Nightingale said.
“He got lucky that time. Next we meet...” Descent was cut off by their superior.
“Silence, Descent! I warned you four that there would be consequences should you ever fail me,” she began, as her warriors looked frightened, until she finished, “Fortunately for you, I don’t have time to deal with your failure. Consider yourselves lucky.” She walked away leaving the four grateful and relieved.
Nightmare walked through a corridor containing cells housing many monstrous creatures roaring and growling at her while trying to claw at their cells bars. Nightmare walked through it without even flinching or blinking before entering another room, containing a throne. She sat atop it and slumped in frustration.
“Unacceptable! Many moons, 1,000 years during my exile, and now it’s reawakened, and in the possession of a human child. In all my attempts to extinguish the Dragonfire or steal its power, ruined. Such a disgrace to the forces of my will.” Suddenly, her horn glowed, projecting a screen of a office with a tall desk and a dark room with a huge light, as a tall woman appeared after turning around to face Nightmare, followed by a group of hooded figures in matching hoodies.
“Mistress Nightmare, glad you could make tonight’s meeting,” the woman greeted.
“Abacus Cinch,” Nightmare greeted.
In appearance, Abacus Cinch had a long dark fuchsia hair with streaks of light fuchsia, tied in a bun in the back, with a long elegant curl at the top, light grayish blue violet eyeshadows painted over her piercing grayish fuchsia eyes, moderate raspberry lipstick, and a beauty mark, located on the upper left of her lips. For attire, she wore a dark blue coat with a matching skirt, over a light blue sweater, dark mulberry pantyhose, and dark blue high heels. The only accessories she wore are three pearls for earrings, red glasses and a fiery jeweled necklace around her neck.
“It’s been many years,” Abacus began. “What is the word on your part, your highness?”
“I’m afraid that we’ve hit a problem. The dragon king has been reborn, and the Dragonfire has awakened,” Nightmare began.
“What?” the hooded figures asked in shock, but in silence so that their leaders couldn’t hear.
“How is this possible?” Cinch asked.
“The boy I sent my apprentice, Trixie Lulamoon to eliminate who I believed was a potential vessel for it was reborn with the dragon’s power, and is now in possession of the Dragonfire.”
“This is unacceptable!” Abacus bellowed.
“Exactly! We mustn’t let them interfere with my plans! I will claim the Dragonfire and resurrect my glorious empire! The bearers of the Elements of Harmony, and the boy must be destroyed!” Nightmare said.
Abacus then spoke, “This does seem to pose as a problem, now that you mentioned it. If the dragon king has been reborn inside of someone already, then it’ll be just a matter of time before his vessel awakens his full power, and unleashes the true power of the Dragonfire. We cannot let that happen.”
“Then see to it that the boy is to be dealt with immediately,” Nightmare assured her.
“Very well, Mistress Nightmare. I’ll leave you to it. But I will make sure that our forces will not hold back. AT ALL!” Abacus replied.
Nightmare frowned feeling unamused, but answered, “Understood. Carry along now, and await my orders.”
“As you wish, Mistress Nightmare Moon,” Abacus said, as Nightmare ended their transmission, and held up a blue crystal ball seeing Twilight and her friends in it, “I will not let you girls stand in my way. One by one, you will all fall.”
