Teleportation is a very convenient way to travel, although it's rarely utilised by the everyday pony for its steep learning curve. Only the most skilled of alicorns and unicorns can do it well, and Twilight has been doing it for nearly all her life. Although, she never wondered what could occur in that split second between the flash.

Part of the Blinkverse, and incorporates small details from a prequel story that sets an excellent basis. Reading the original and its prequels are not required but still highly recommended as the universe is very interesting.
