the wolf kid

I woke up with a jolt, as I remembered how I was born. Born in this world, to Sunbeam Shimmer. I was scared. My name is Sunset Shimmer. I am 16 years of age, and I have a terrible secret.

I am a wolf, a talking, living teenage wolf.

I sighed, getting out of bed, throwing on my favourite set of clothes, a pink long-sleeved t-shirt and an orange miniskirt. I pulled on my black leather jacket, and high black boots over the bottom set of paws. I then pulled an amber set of gloves onto the top set of paws and an amber mask to cover my true self.

I grabbed my brown satchel, before brushing my natural red-gold hair I inherited from my mom. I ran out of the apartment, locking the door behind me, to the mall, where I was going to meet my friends.

I arrived at the mall, panting. Rainbow Dash waved me over, smiling at me. “Hey,” she said.
“So why did ya bring us here?” asked Applejack.

“Well...” said Rainbow Dash. “My mom is having a baby... and I’m gonna be a big sis! Isn’t that amazing?”

We noisily congratulated her. “I’m so happy for you!” I cried.

“We should have a party!” suggested Pinkie Pie.

“No.” I said. “That’s not a good idea. Uh, because... I’m really busy.”

Pinkie nodded. “Okay. Later.”

I smiled. I knew I had to tell them sooner rather than later.

But what would they say?
